She fell for a movie star. She never expected the dragons in her dreams to tear them apart.
When Glory meets Lucas Wolfe, an internationally known actor, during a night out in Toronto, she expects nothing more than a whirlwind weekend before he disappears back to Hollywood. Instead, Lucas keeps returning—across borders, time zones, and expectations—until their connection becomes impossible to deny. As Glory’s life expands to include red carpets, costume parties, and a future in Los Angeles, the relationship she never planned for begins to feel real.
But a chance encounter outside a party drags forgotten trauma into the light.
After a devastating breakdown, Glory is forced to confront a family secret buried for decades—one that reshapes everything she thought she knew about her past, her parents, and herself. With her father returning to her life and her family struggling to face the truth, Glory must focus on healing wounds that love alone cannot mend. Lucas is willing to sacrifice everything to stay by her side. But Glory knows that staying together before she is whole may destroy what they have. Caught between a future she longs for and the recovery she desperately needs, she makes a choice that could either break them—or give them a chance to begin again.
An emotionally rich novel about love in the spotlight, the weight of buried trauma, and the courage it takes to choose healing, even when it means letting go.
Hey, everyone. Just wanted to put this placeholder here to make sure you're all aware that my second book will be coming out this spring. I'm currently editing and working with a cover designer to get everything finalized for release. This book takes a little darker psychological turn than Jumping in Puddles did and it's part of a Duology with the second book coming out some time in the fall. Looking forward to hearing what you think Cecile M. Sheff
