Immortal and ancient, he's the ultimate bad boy...
Peter Rynalt is every woman's sinful dream. The other Endurers might call him a priest, but there's nothing saintly about his seductive desires. But when Kim Jones runs into his arms after being attacked by demons in the French Quarter, he soon discovers that she's nothing like the women he's used to... and it looks like the playboy has finally met his match.
About the Series:
Once upon a time, the world was just a black void. Then one day man came, but he wasn't alone. He was followed by an ancient evil, a scourge determined to steal his soul. Centuries passed. Humanity did all it could to protect itself against the evil ones, but they weren't equipped to fight this battle. Instead, all they could do was pray that Hell didn't set its eyes upon them.
It got to be too much. Something had to be done.
Born out of desperate need, warriors were chosen. Immortality was granted to those strong enough to fight the battle that would never end. No longer mortal, these men have stood in the path of dark and horrifying evil, bearing the load when there was nobody else that could.
It's all coming to an end. Time has ran out for humanity...
Delicate Devastation was a bit different from the other books in this series, because our love bugs have already met in a previous book, which is a twist. This time around our Priest Peter falls in love with Kim who's essentially a "man eater". After being forgotten and disrespected by her ex-husband, Kim has no respect for men and wants absolutely no relationships with them. Kim herself is a savvy real-estate agent with her own company, she's a smart gal with confidence. On the other hand you have Peter, he wants a soul mate, he wants to be with his one and only, but doesn't think he deserves one at first. Peter's the ultimate good guy with the heart of gold, the dudes made of kindness.
This book is a bit more gruesome than the rest and has a dash more of religious stuff going on because of Peter being a priest. However, I certainty wouldn't say it's over the top, its just part of the book. All this action takes place in New Orleans, your going to see our usual reoccurring cast of endurers mixed with some pretty nasty baddies!
I'd definitely recommend, this is 18+ due to sex scenes. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Oh....I so enjoyed reading about Peter and Kim. There was so much happening all at once. It didnt slow down for me at all! They had a lot of chemistry from book 2 but considering she's Scarlett's friend he kinda left her alone. Kim's in trouble and almost gets raped by some demon and she literally runs into Peter. He sets her up in his home temporarily of course. Long enough to bed her pretty much cause he's a playboy and doesnt do anything else. Kim makes it pretty easy for him. I kinda didnt like that about her but as the book goes along we figure out why. She starves herself to keep herself thin. Too thin for Peter's tastes but he still wants her. The underlying issue is her mother. OMG what a horrid woman! No wonder Kim is the way she is. Demons are taking over and is almost succeeding. The Endurers have a difficult task. Its gonna take all of them. After being taken advantage of by Kim's best friend Roxanne after being crucified again by the demons. He's gravely injured and her friend ends up performing oral on the poor man which Kim walks in on. Its amazing she doesnt think about that at the time. Anyways, thanks for Ian things work out. Then all hell breaks loose and Ian and Kim are taken. Oh Ian...poor Ian. That is the most vile things I've had to read through for a character. I mean we dont know details just what Kim said happened. He took that for her. OMG...no wonder he disappears. I can't wait to read his story though. Kim & Peter get their HEA though. :)

Any Triggers/Warnings:
My thoughts: I really didn’t care for the trigger in the book and it kind of ruined it for me even though it wasn’t even close to the H’s fault. I was more bothered that it was brushed off like it was nothing because he is a guy.
Overall Rating: 3.25 Do You Recommend This Book: To some ReRead: No Would You Read More Books By This Author: Probably
Truly pathetic!! Truly! Don't waste your money or time! There is potential for the story line but this execution was BAD! Weak pathetic characters, seriously repetitive, spelling mistakes don't help & I was constantly rolling my eyes at just how wishy-washy every scene was. Some of them were so poorly written I was just confused. There was this instant contradiction too. "Her body is so perfect but he's seriously underweight, she look like she is starving"! Just complete rubbish like that. I honestly can't believe that there can be a paper back version of this as I can't see any publisher really putting this rubbish to paper. Don't get me wrong. I love a good erotic paranormal romance but this just blows. Oh and it was very religious also. Which just somehow didn't go with the constant sex.
I really enjoyed Peter but Kim kind of got on my nerves. But I think had I read this at a different time in my schedule I would have been all about her.
Set in New Orleans, this book was an awesome paranormal romance read! I really enjoyed the characters, and the inner struggles that the hero and heroine experienced. Plus, I love the back story!
