Dark, Twisted, and Completely Addictive Okay. I get it now. This was my first real dip into mafia-style dark romance, and I flew through it. The tension never lets up, and every chapter feels like someone is three steps away from making a very dangerous decision. I was locked in.
Ocean is exactly what he promises to be. Manipulative. Strategic. Always ahead of the game. But Hunter? Hunter stole the entire show for me. She is hands down one of the best villainesses I’ve read in a while. Calculated, ruthless, and fiercely loyal. The relationship between her and Coby was thick with history, devotion, and something almost sacred. Chef’s kiss. That bond carried so much weight.
What I loved most is how intense everything felt without losing control. The power plays, the emotional stakes, the layered dynamics. It was dark, but purposeful. I couldn’t stop turning pages. If this is what mafia romance is serving, I understand the obsession. A strong four stars from me.
