Makes me want to go back to France

I really enjoyed the characters time in france. That's the stuff fantasies are made of. Its always good to see a Black woman get fought for. A good book boyfriend..

ML is a SWEATHEART!!

I really enjoyed this book, even though it was a bit confusing as to what was going on at different times. The biggest issue I have is that everything was going well. He already got over the home of her trusting him again. And then she goes and gets unnecessarily upset and shut down because he did what she asked him to do. Was to not shout it from the rooftops and make a big deal about their relationship. Then for her to go ghost on him and then call out two days at work?? At a job she loves?? And she’s a strong woman who will do everything herself?? I do understand that she was supposed to be hurt. But for her to not even listen to him and just shut completely down, I don’t care it was just unnecessary. And he has been nothing but upfront with her so she should’ve known that this was totally out of character for him. She did him wrong and turned it around to make him beg and go after her. I didn’t like that. It was cruelty to him, lol.

Omg, omg, OMG!!! WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BOOK!! This book left me feeling so full of love, happiness, and pure joy! SPECTACULAR, SIMPLY SPECTACULAR! The story is a TOTAL CHEF’S KISS FROM THE FIRST SCENE TO THE VERY LAST!
The way this story unfolds, and flows is literally so beautiful and just so real, just how a genuine relationship grows, builds, and comes together. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ was so, so beautifully written and so meaningful, and special. This book had me like YES THIS IS HOW RELATIONSHIPS BUILD! I felt every bit of angst, every bit of heartache, and that fear of possible rejection or unrequited love when you love someone so very much!

Absolutely adored this one!

I haven't written a review in such a long time but this one definitely deserved words! Incredible story honestly, this is the first book I've read by this author and I cannot wait to see what more books she has in store. I absolutely loved this couple, they were beautiful and raw and real and dreamy. They were perfect for one another, and still so real because don't we all just want to be chosen? Don't we all just want to be chosen every single day by the one we love and that is the epitome of this story and she was definitely chosen, she just needed to see it for herself. Loved this story!

I haven’t read this author before, I’m glad that I chose this book.

I loved this story for the start. Nia and Declan are easy to love. Declan reminds me of someone and Nia reminds me of me. I haven’t cried over a book in many years. My heart hurt and felt like it was being squeezed in my chest. This book had its spicy moments, but that wasn’t what the story revolved around. I laughed out loud lots. Enjoyed the read. I may try to find nougat :)

I have never been a fan of 3rd act suspense but since it was 2 days, I managed.
FMC ✅ cause we don’t let the past ruin everything and the Nice experience was 🥰🥰🥰
MMC ✅ ditto and men who aren’t afraid to be the little spoon sometimes is 🥰🥰🥰

I’m glad we didn’t have to read any conversation or run ins with the past. 🗑️
This was my first reading experience from this author and I definitely had all the feels and look forward to more.

EXCELLENTLY WRITTEN

New author for me. The story flowed well. Both interesting characters. I wanted more excitement and conflict. The FMC was way too risk averse. There was a reason to be hesitant about the Main male character but sometimes it was TOO much.
I enjoyed the writing by Ms. Gods but I’m unable to find more books by her. Highly recommend this book.

Read it in two days

This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and I was grabbed onto the story within the first five pages. I love the fact she has great dialogue between the main characters and it made you want to root for them. I strongly recommend this book and will read more from this author

disappointed

It was going so well! I was thoroughly enjoying the read until she totally misunderstood something he said, and he continuously apologized for it. The MFCs constant denial of what was obviously love was already irritating, but to then add her overreaction. 😒 No thanks

Good story line, developed characters, good pacing. The break up was short, so I liked that. The reason was a stretch, but I get it.
Overall, entertaining read.
