Another great book in this series. Can't wait to read the next one!
Amazon synopsis: Diana Madsen doesn’t regret the long hours and sleepless nights it took to turn Magnolia Boutique into a thriving business. But as she watches her friends and family find love and start families, she has to admit that she’s neglected her own personal life a bit.
As Diana decides to give dating apps a try, she uncovers an unfortunate problem at the boutique: her former bookkeeper made several serious mistakes in her financial records. Anxious to get things back on track, Diana hires Magnolia Shore’s newest arrival, Anthony Lofton, a single father and experienced accountant.
It’s meant to be a strictly professional arrangement. But as the two of them spend long hours together at the boutique, and as Diana grows close to his adorable daughter, she starts to wonder if the right match for her isn’t on an app after all. Maybe he’s standing right in front of her, an unexpected friend who could become something more.
Meanwhile, Eleanor is gearing up for the grand opening of her bookshop with help from Garrett and her friends. As the big day approaches, a surprising exchange with Winnie Burnett offers Eleanor a new perspective, softening her initial impression of Winnie.
Eleanor is working hard to finalize the shop for the opening of her new bookstore with the help of Garrett and her friends. Diana, owner of a clothing boutique, tries to find a "match" through online dating, without success. Widower Anthony and his bubbly daughter, Eloise, arrive in town to begin a new life. An accountant, Anthony has a chance meeting with Diana, and feels the connection. Winnie, who has felt rejected most of her life, becomes part of the Book Club and happily makes new friends. I love the progression of plots in this series and enjoy that the characters are of all ages. Again, I love this series and hope you'll enjoy it too.
My favorite part is when the two ogres are finally and fairly confronted. Glory hallelujah! The fascination with books was quite pleasing to me as I am a Retired AP English teacher. Being incorporated or included into the book club was just such a wonderful celebration.
This is the third book in a series about Magnolia Shores. The characters are the same in each story but each story highlights different characters. In this story, a very insecure Historical Society person learns how to become a friend and embrace other members of the town. Eleanor’s bookstore finally opens and Diana may have found a love interest. A cute story!
Never to Late has been another fun book in yet another fun series by Fiona Baker. I love a series because you get to really know the character in the book and see how everyone grows!!
The story was engaging, light and an enjoyable read. However Fiona needs to get a better Editor. There are many grammar and punctuation errors and use of the wrong words. That is probably due to the use of the "autofill" function.
This was a very sweet and feel good story. Lovely characters you want as friends. A welcoming community that makes you feel at home. I can't wait to read the next book. As always happy reading
