Life isn’t always a bed of roses and sunshine for a beauty name Scotland. Seeking an escape from her life as a prostitute in Indianapolis and Detroit, things take a turn when Brick, King’s right-hand man, learns of Scotland’s plan to leave.
When Brick’s malicious schemes fail, she is left for dead, by the hands of her pimp/boyfriend King and his right-hand Brick. Scotland is out for revenge when she’s saved by Major, a man and stranger who’ll do anything to have Scotland as his as well as saving Scotland from the two men who left her for dead and the two men who stole his money and drugs.
On the other side of the tracks is Major who isn’t your typical drug kingpin; he is handsome and his name commands respect in the streets in Detroit. When Major encounters Scotland and save her life, he finds himself falling deeply in love with her beauty. The question will Scotland be the woman of his dreams or the beginning of his nightmare?
This story was gritty and dramatic from the beginning. Scotland’s situation felt intense and emotional. The revenge angle kept things interesting. Major added another layer to the plot. It was an engaging street romance overall.
