When Selene performs a forbidden ritual to break free from her coven's control, she doesn't summon salvation, she summons him.
Upon summons, Azriel should destroy her. Instead, he claims her.
Bound by a tether neither can break, Selene discovers that her accidental summoning has awakened something darker in herself - a hunger that mirrors his own. As Azriel's power bleeds into her veins, transforming her from witch to something far more dangerous, the line between captor and captive blurs into something neither desire that burns hotter than hellfire.
But their connection is a weapon. The coven now wants her gone and the court he rules wants him dethroned. Yet, the connection between them grows stronger with every touch, every kiss, every surrender and it threatens to consume them both.
In the space between worlds, Selene must break the tether and lose herself, or surrender completely to the demon who's already devoured her soul.
Content Explicit sexual content, dark themes, and morally gray characters. Not for the faint of heart.

Arc review ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ “For the powerful and and unapologetic’
Selene was having a drink when she accidentally summons a hot, mysterious demon who wants to own her soul but what happens when he doesn’t tell her the full truth and things start heating up? This witch x demon dynamic is delicious and I ate it up in one sitting! If you like enemies to lovers, lots of spice and a demon who knows how to make you feel good this one’s for you😈🖤
4⭐️3.5🌶 I seem to be on a kick of supernatural novellas. This one is hot and smutty ride. What happens when you accidentally summon a demon lord while drinking on a Tuesday night? Selene the FMC is about to find out when Azriel waltzes into her house. I loved the interactions between the main characters. I loved the slow and deliberate manipulation while he tutors her on her powers. The heat is high on this pairing, but the spice is well suited to the plot. This author is new to me, I'm definitely going to look for more items from her.
Tropes and triggers: student & teacher, found family, demons and witches, enemies to lovers, coming into powers
This book was short, but I really enjoyed it! Selene is going though so much in her life with her coven and she just wants to be herself. An accidental summoning of the demon Azriel is just what she needed. He sees how powerful she is and provides her with the care, push, and understanding she needs to stand up for herself to her coven.
Azriel is a perfect mix of “I can ruin you” and “I want to protect you”. He’s powerful, demanding ( in the best way), and exactly what Selene needed.... in more than one way.
Devoured by Desire was the kind of story that leans fully into dark temptation and doesn’t apologize for it. Selene’s struggle with being told her magic—and her curiosity—are too much made her easy to root for from the start. When she accidentally summons Azriel, the story quickly shifts into a tense dance between danger and fascination. Their forced bond creates a dynamic that’s equal parts teacher, captor, and something much more complicated, and watching Selene slowly step into her own power made the journey even more satisfying.
Azriel adds that irresistible dark energy that makes every scene feel charged. He’s ancient, amused, and clearly hiding more than he reveals, which keeps the tension simmering the entire time. The magic system, the mystery around the ritual, and the constant push and pull between them build a story that feels seductive and dangerous all at once. And yes—this book absolutely delivers on the spice. The chemistry between Selene and Azriel is intense, making it hard not to get swept up in the temptation right alongside her.
I ate this up nearly in one sitting. Loved Azriel and how hes so just matter of fact, knows right from wrong, but hes honest. Selene is bad ass, standing up for what she believes in. I loved every single aspect of this book. If you like witches & demons, you should check this short read out!
ARC Review Okay the spice was spicy! We love a FMC who is powerful. I hope to read more of Azriel and Selene. The story flowed nicely and easily, I couldn’t put it down!
I did not know how this was going to go. It’s a dark paranormal but honestly it started off almost like a cosy small town witchy story which I liked. I did think it was pretty light on the dark themes and didn't see much of it through the story. It felt like it leaned more on the paranormal romance side, which I did like.
This was my first read by TC Rae and I loved it!! It pulled me in from the beginning and had just the right amount of plot, spice and cute banter! I love how the FMC Selene found her strength she always had but our FMC Azriel helped her fine tune it! What a great quick read and I’ll definitely be reading more from TC Rae!
I already knew going into this that I was going to love it because it is a TC Rae book and at this point that woman could write absolutely anything and I would still eat it up. But Devoured by Desire completely consumed me. I sat down thinking I would read a few chapters and next thing I knew I was fully locked in and could not put it down.
Selene is such an incredible character. She is powerful, stubborn, curious, and refuses to let anyone control her which makes everything that happens so much more intense. Watching her step into her magic and slowly realize how dangerous she actually is had me completely hooked. She is the kind of main character you root for from the very beginning.
And Azriel… yeah I am not okay. This demon is dark, possessive, powerful, and absolutely obsessed and I loved every second of it. The tension between him and Selene is insane and the chemistry jumps right off the page. Every scene with them together had me grinning like a menace because the energy between them is just that good.
The world building is also amazing. The coven, the demon realm, the magic, the politics, everything feels rich and immersive and it pulls you deeper into the story the more you read. TC Rae always builds these incredible worlds that feel alive and this one is no different.
And the spice absolutely delivered. Five out of five easily. The tension, the obsession, the connection between these two was intense and addictive and I loved every minute of it.
But I also want to say something a little personal. Being TC Rae’s PA has honestly been such an incredible experience. I get to see firsthand how much heart, creativity, and passion she pours into every single story she writes. She cares so deeply about her characters and her readers and it shows in every book she releases. I adore her as an author and as a human and I feel so lucky to be part of her team.
TC Rae stories always pull me in, break my brain a little, and leave me wanting more and Devoured by Desire is absolutely no exception. These characters are amazing, this world is addictive, and I already cannot wait to see what she gives us next.
I devoured this book without realizing it; it captivated me from the first page, and never has "just one more chapter" been such a lie. The story is short, but brilliantly developed, and it doesn't feel like anything is missing.
Selene is a tough cookie, stubborn, curious, and absolutely incapable of letting anyone control her. Her evolution is addictive: watching her discover her magic, understand her own danger, and still remain steadfast in her beliefs is wonderful.
And then there's Azriel... let's talk about this dark, possessive, and direct demon, with that obsession that makes you smile even though you know you shouldn't. Little more needs to be said!
The tension... oh, the tension between them! It's nothing short of explosive, but it also has an emotional undercurrent that makes it more than just simple attraction.
The world surrounding the story is another strong point. The coven, the demon realm, magical politics... everything is described in such detail that it seems impossible for it to be a short read.
In short, I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.
Many thanks to TC Rae for letting me read this ARC early!
Devoured by Desire pulls you into a world where darkness and attraction blur into something dangerously addictive.
There’s an intensity to this story that lingers throughout—every interaction feels charged, every moment layered with tension that keeps you leaning in, waiting to see what happens next.
What really worked for me was the atmosphere. It’s heavy, seductive, and just unsettling enough to keep things interesting, creating a tone that fits perfectly with the darker elements of the story.
The connection between the characters builds in a way that feels consuming, adding to the overall pull of the narrative.
For me, this is a solid 4 ⭐ because it was immersive and engaging, though I found myself wanting just a bit more depth in certain areas.
Selene’s journey instantly pulled me in... after a lifetime of being told to stay small and hide her magic, her curiosity finally leads her to an ancient grimoire… and one reckless, drunken, ritual later, she accidentally summons a demon.
Azriel is powerful, ancient, and dangerously intriguing, and the dynamic between him and Selene kept me hooked the entire time. The tension, the banter, and the mystery behind the magic binding them together made it impossible to put down.
Huge thank you to TC Rae for letting me be part of her amazing Street Team!
I’m so grateful I got the chance to read and support this story.
If you love witches, demons, and forbidden magic with plenty of tension, this one is definitely worth reading. ✨📖
OMG BESTIES… lemme give you the tea on "Devoured By Desire" by T. C. Rae... I devoured this like it was my last meal. 🤭
Selene… baby, when I tell you I was yelling at you to TRUST YOUR GUT... because why are we summoning demons and hoping for the best?! 😭 And Azriel?! Sir… the audacity of taking her bedroom and locking her out had me personally offended. I was ready to fight for her!
But let’s talk about what really matters… the SPICE. Whew. Lawd. Have. Mercy. This was that “grab a fan and mind your business” kind of heat.😏 The push and pull? Sooo good. The tension? Suffocating in the best way. And Azriel being all possessive, obsessive, “touch her & d!e”? Yeah… I folded IMMEDIATELY.
What I loved most was how their connection blurred the lines between enemy, captor, and something dangerously addictive. Selene’s transformation? Dark, powerful, and slightly unhinged... we LOVE to see it!
If you’re craving demon x witch chaos, forced proximity, and a slow burn that turns into full-on inferno… add this to your TBR NOW. Seriously! 😉
My Ratings: ⭐ 4.5/5 ▪︎ 🥵 4/5
🥀 My ratings and review are my own. For my rating scale breakdown, head over to my Goodreads &/or Amazon profile! 🖤
The FMC is trying to figure things our and accidentally summons someone or something she shouldn’t. The MMC is happy to be out and likes what he sees. There is a lot of growth in the FMC throughout the book. The MMC changes as well, and he is also full of desire. I found it endearing that the MMC helped the FMC find out just how poshe really was. I loved reading about these two main characters. The spice was awesome. I love the choices he gives her. This turned out to be e a really sweet book and I’m so happy I read it. I would definitely recommend this book.
I loved this book. It's definitely a quicker read at 150 pages but it was just what I needed! Selene accidentally summons a demon after finding a grimoire in the cafe when she was closing up. Unfortunately, not only did she end up summoning Azriel, but she of course bound them together. They begin to work together to unravel what she did and the tension between them was wonderful! Plus the spice was perfect! You will be able to devour this in one quick setting. I'm so happy I found this book and author!
It felt good to escape into the world the author wrote about; I must confess I was feeling down and didn't feel like reading, and this book brought me back to it. I hope to continue following this author's work. In this book, we meet Selene, a young witch who has spent her entire life watching her power be controlled and diminished, and a demon lord, to discover something that intrigues him throughout his thousand years.
This is the first time I read a book by TC Rae. And I really loved the writing style. The book was a short read. Straight to the point without any dragging. despite the short amount of pages the writer has managed to get you sucked in the story and read the book in one go. For everyone who loves a good story with honest Characters with the attitude what you see is what you get. This is a great read.
I really enjoyed this story, even though it was short. I’ve always loved books about demons, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings. Azriel ends up being summoned by a witch and comes to help her find herself and trust in her own strength.
Selene is a little wary of his good intentions, especially since she doesn’t fully understand everything involved in the summoning she performed. But Azriel proves to her that she can trust him.
I loved the way her sister supported her, how their bond and their love for each other ultimately outweighed the rules and the fear of the unknown.
Now I’m wondering… will Rowan end up summoning a demon of her own too? 🤪😈
I didn’t dislike this book; it was quick, easy to follow, decent writing, and had a likable FMC. Unfortunately the story just wasn’t strong enough for me. I needed more description everywhere. Even though there were POVs from the MMC he had no depth and not once did I think she was his captive or he was dangerous at all. The story was really predictable and just felt like a fluffy romance to me. A large part of the conflict was her leaving her coven which had zero reproductions and really just amounted to her standing her ground against a very unopposing force.
I really had high hopes for this story but unfortunately it fell flat for me.
