I went into this book thinking Knotted was just a dramatic fantasy title.
That was my first mistake.
My second mistake was not emotionally preparing myself for whatever ancient Fae government clearly approved this level of chaos and poor decision-making.
Hannah is out here doing full-time labor, emotional repression, village protection, and unpaid trauma endurance like it’s a hobby. This woman is not a heroine, she is a one-person emergency response team with trust issues.
And then there’s Karax.
Listen.
This man is ancient, powerful, emotionally unavailable in the most expensive way possible, and somehow still surprised that consequences exist. The audacity is honestly impressive.
Their relationship? It’s not a romance. It’s a situation. A very intense, very questionable, very “why am I still reading this at 2am” situation.
The chemistry is absolutely unwell. Like someone should’ve intervened. Instead, the book said “what if we made it worse (affectionate).”
And yes — the spice is not subtle. It does not knock. It kicks the door down, makes eye contact, and refuses to leave.
Also… I need to formally report that the title is not metaphorical. There is, in fact, knotting. Frequent. Confident. Unapologetic. I would like to know who gave it permission to be that present in the narrative, but I respect the commitment.
Plot-wise, there is one, technically. Something about betrayal, prophecy, emotional damage, and worldbuilding that is actually really solid when I occasionally remembered to breathe and pay attention.
But let’s be honest: I was not here for peaceful political discourse in the fae realm. I was here for poor life choices and emotional escalation.
Somehow I started this without reading the first three books, which is probably illegal in some countries, but it still worked out. I will now be going back to fix my mistakes like a responsible citizen of chaos.

Hannah, a 24-year-old village protector, defies the Stone Court’s demand to surrender three young women for breeding by invoking trial by combat against Karax, the Stone Guardian. If she draws first blood, the women are spared—but ancient law grants Karax ownership of whoever makes him bleed. This is his engineered plan, exploiting her self-sacrificing nature.
They slowly build a genuine bond beyond alpha/omega instincts, but when Hannah uncovers his betrayal, she’s heartbroken. She severs their bond and leaves, knowing it will kill her. Karax vows to stay away unless she calls—until her village warns him of her impending death, forcing him to break his promise to save the woman he loves, even if she despises him more.
I liked Hannah’s fierce defiance and hated Karax’s cruel, smug manipulation at first. But as he truly sees her as a person and they forge a real relationship, I warmed to him too. Hannah’s strength, self-sacrifice, and honesty—even admitting she might never fully forgive him while still wanting a true partnership—made her compelling. He proves his change by supporting her fully. In the end, they transform each other. A gripping dark omegaverse read!.

KNOTTED is the fourth book in the Dark Faeverse series. You don't have to have read any of the others, but I have. I don't think it impacted my enjoyment in any way.
I definitely enjoyed this more than the last couple! Although the Fae still manipulate, at least Karax sees where he went wrong and what his mistakes are. I also liked how he was there for her when no one else was, even if he did help create the situation in the first place.
There are still a couple of plot holes, where the timing goes off track, particularly near the 75% mark and afterwards, but on the whole, this was so much better than the others. I didn't really enjoy Frozen, although Entangled was a little bit better. In my opinion, Knotted is on par with Thorned, so I'm happy to see it get back on track.
It's the Mist Court next, and I can't wait.

I didn't really enjoy Frozen, although Entangled was a little bit better. In my opinion, Knotted is on par with Thorned, so I'm happy to see it get back on track.

She is the only one capable, but more importantly, selflessly willing to step up to do what needs to be done when the Stone Court orders the village council to pay homage: offering herself as a sacrifice to protect three young females from an untold fate in the fae’s hands and unknowingly, an intriguing age-old prophesy. What she eventually finds is something she never knew she was seeking. However, all it takes is one lynchpin revelation, and everything may all fall to ruin for her and what she thought she had found in Karax’s arms.
Loved this story and the writing of it! I will have to go back and see what I had missed in the rest of this series with the other Courts!

Book 4 of the Dark Faeverse series. While it can be read as a standalone for maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.

The plot was intriguing and exciting and intense and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

What a wild ride. I could not put this book down. Hannah has been fighting since she was 16. She is the warrior of the village, and protector. She is brave, lonely , carrying the world on her shoulders. Karax the Guardian is a Fae on a mission and I don't know what to say without giving too much away. What a very naughty Fae. The relationship between these is quite delicious. The spice is off the charts and hot!!!! This book delivers on the spice for sure.This was a crazy love story and I can't wait for the next one. I didn't read the first three, but I will be getting those while I wait for the next.

I liked the story but I don't know, the first half of the book is really good because you can feel the hatred of the main characters but as you progress some parts are confusing, like how she was wondering if she drew the blood by her own strength or he let her, but he did tell her, unless I read it wrong. And the betrayal the pain the isolation they stung but then again I. Could not feel the FMC as deeply as I wished. And the Fae I don't know the spice is there but the chemistry felt a little too surface area. Overall, I liked it just a few things here and there like the repetitions and over explanation of things.

The book was an amazing balance of determination, love, betrayal and heartbreak. Hannah is a strong willed independent woman and waited till the absolute last second before giving in to Karax. I do think that the grovel part could've been more, he didn't grovel enough if at all in my opinion. All that aside I did really enjoy the book and wood recommend this to anyone looking for a omegaverse book with a strong FMC and a MMC who'd do anything to get what he wants.

loved it !! love this series !! love Hannah and Karax, not so much !! this is their story ... a fast paced action packed rom/drama... first blood.. an ancient law ... she is the protector of her village.. in order to save it, she does the unthinkable... fight the guardian... not knowing the true cost until it's too late... Karax has been waiting hundreds of years for the prophecy to come to bear... and now, it's within his grasp but, at what cost ? so good !!!.

The emotional rollercoaster this book put me on is insanity. There will come a point and you might just hate the MMC. Hate him all you want but at least this man cared. The only person truly to ever care because money and threats shouldn't convince you to abandon someone. When he realizes full what he did and has a come to God moment it's humbling.

Knotted is book four of the Faeverse Series.
Hannah thought she had a lot of things figured out and could choose her own destiny, however, Karax has manipulated things to his advantage. He knows he wants her as his omega and he is willing to do everything he can to get her. Now they do have a steamy relationship, but when things get discovered we see a new side to Karax. One where he gives choices to Hannah for their future together. I liked the character growth with him.

This is a good story that is a bit dark. It is the fourth in the new "Dark Faeverse" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone. The world, characters and plot are creative. The story is set in the omega world where the alpha takes what he wants, the omega, no matter what. With that said the reader should know what kind of world this is. It is a steamy read where the alpha claims and ruts his mate. I like the characters. The plot was intriguing with choices made and consequences faced.

I find this to be a lot better than the previous books.
I do like Hannah and the fact that she's a strong female character. Karax grew on me..

This is book 4 in the series, you dont have to read the ones to understand whats going on. This book was amazing. I was hooked from the start. The characters, spice and details were well-written. If you like fae and humans then you will love this book.
