This is not the kind of book I usually gravitate toward. I like my romances dark, I like them taboo or forbidden. This book is the opposite: small town, second chance, cozy romance. And yet I still applied for the ARC, because there was something about the blurb that just pulled me in. And boy, am I glad I did. It was definitely… worth the risk (badum tsss).
The first chapter was okay. I was looking forward to continuing the story and I already felt like I was going to enjoy this book. FMC was fine, writing style was pleasant, the conversations flowed naturally. By the end of chapter two I was already so hooked it wasn’t even funny anymore. Halfway through chapter three I was practically begging to know what happened between the FMC and MMC, and I only got sucked in more the further I read.
We meet FMC Sierra as an independent woman who runs into her ex at the side of the road after having car trouble. As the cliché demands, obviously she is stranded right outside of her childhood hometown - the place she ran away from seven years ago. There was one thing that annoyed me about her, but later in the story it was explained why she thinks the way she does - and it made perfect sense, so I can’t even be mad about that. MMC Logan instantly feels like the sweetest, most helpful man you’ll ever meet - doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He’s hardworking and kind, and he offers Sierra a place to stay and a job while she saves up to get her van fixed. And get this, ladies: he communicates. If that’s not sexy by definition, I don’t know what is.
The setup of the plot is really strong. Like I said, I was immediately dying to know what happened between Sierra and Logan, and what happened that made Sierra run for the hills. On the other hand, besides wanting to know what happened in the past, I was really curious to see how their relationship would develop after their reunion - especially after starting to piece together what happened all that time ago.
This is not just a cliché small town second chance love story. It’s funny, it’s heartwarming, it’s addictive. It had me squealing and kicking my feet. Consider this your warning: you *will* fall in love with Logan LaSalle - it’s inevitable. For me personally, this book was just a little too sappy/fluffy/cozy at times - but that’s entirely just personal preference. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about this story.
(I received this book as an ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)
I received an advance review copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Worth the Risk follows FMC, Sierra, a self proclaimed “dirtbag” rock climber, and MMC, Logan, a tour guide business owner with his siblings. Sierra and Logan were an on and off couple in high school and one day Sierra leaves without a trace, that was seven years ago. Present day; her car breaks down and catches on fire right in Sagebrush, the town she ran from, and better yet, the person who stopped to help her is her ex-boyfriend, Logan!
The romance in this book is very sweet and wholesome. The spice is spicy but, just the right amount is sprinkled throughout. The story kept me on the edge of my seat getting more and more invested with every page turn. The story is beautifully written and I love every single character, except for our villain (iykyk), I can’t wait for more from Darcy Gamble and more stories set in this world following this perfect group of characters! I feel like the characters are my friends and I really do care about what happens to them. It was beautiful to see Sierra grow and change throughout the story, letting her guard down, and Logan realizing his need of always being in control could potentially hurt the ones he loves.
Worth the Risk is most definitely worth the read. At first it was a tiny bit slow but, the more I got into the story, the better it got and the pace picked up. By the end, I was tearing up significantly and wanted more. Beautifully written story!
This debut was a fun, light, and easy read that kept me entertained from start to finish. I really enjoyed the banter between Sierra and Logan—it felt natural, playful, and full of that lingering ex energy that makes second-chance romances so addictive. Their chemistry was obvious from the very beginning, and I loved watching them slowly find their way back to each other.
There is some heavier trauma in Sierra’s past, and while it added an emotional layer to the story, I personally would have loved to see the author dive a little deeper into it to give more depth to both Sierra and the overall storyline. That said, the lighter tone, road-trip vibes, and sweet moments between the MCs balanced things out nicely.
Overall, this was a solid and enjoyable debut with great chemistry, fun dialogue, and a satisfying romantic arc. I’m definitely curious to see what this author does next!
ARC review. Thank you to book sirens and Darcy Gamble for this ARC.
I don’t read a lot of romances and any romance, I would usually take a while to read. So when I was told I had to read this book in 3 days or less, I was up to the challenge.
I didn’t expect to enjoy it that much though. It just feels shy of the 5 stars. Here’s why:
Firstly the last plot point in the book felt really random and not hinted at throughout the book. I also feel like there’s too much smut in the second half of the book.
I never felt like I had to pick up the book. I always genuinely wanted to read it. The longer paragraphs were great as there was a really good blend of description and dialogue.
4.75 stars!! ⭐️ if you need a fun, light and easy to read romance book, look no further! Worth the Risk will keep you entertained the entire time!
The FMC Sierra left her small town of Sagebrook 7 years ago after she split from Logan, her HS boyfriend. Of course she finds herself back into town and up close and personal with Logan himself. There was SO much fun banter back and forth between the two characters (I loooove me some banter!!!) that it just made the story so much more fun.
Chemistry - on point.
Second chance romance - hell yeah.
While there is some heavier trauma from the FMC, the author wrote about it well but still managed to keep the book light hearted.
I enjoyed this book! It was well written and not rushed - which I think happens a lot with romances. I enjoyed learning about the character's pasts and seeing their growth through eachother's eyes. If you like steamy romance with a good back story, I would recommend! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The grovel in this book is soooo good <3. Logan and Sierra have my heart!! Logan as an MMC is incredibly well developed. He makes mistakes, and he learns from them, he's not perfect and under the perfect golden boy facade, lies insecurities and fears which makes him totally relatable.
Sierra is a perfect foil to him. Her life has been turbulent, and she's flighty, but guarded at the same time (due to her traumas). Her actions read to me more as defense mechanisms, and slowly we begin to unravel what really happened after she left Sagebrush for good. I love a misunderstood woman because we can all relate to being "othered" in some way shape or form. I adore the fact that she's messy and complicated, but Logan still loves her anyways, and through him, she's learning to love herself too.
I think because both characters were so young when everything fell apart, it made the betrayal from the whole town and Logan's grovel more believable. It also further reinforces the fact that this book is a friends to lovers/second chance romance because of all that history between them.
I absolutely love how Darcy incorporated aspects of climbing culture into the book. The love of nature is what connects both characters. I also appreciated how she wove the environment as part of the story, where Sierra's love of climbing started, Logan trying to find Sierra after leaving Sagebrush, but finding gold instead of her. After some research, he discovered that the gold belonged to an outlaw, Billy Blackstone, and his love story with Lula Maude eerily parallels Logan and Sierra. That motif comes back often, and sticks until the end of the book!
One of the things I appreciated was the conflict being a us vs them instead of them vs each other. The villains in this story are as complex and interesting as the main characters. The Marshall Dawson and John being men with power and money, intimidating a young and vulnerable girl, explains Sierra's flighty nature, and her nihilism about the relationship between Logan and her working out.
The smut scenes are honestly incredibly good. You really get to know Sierra and Logan's psyche and emotional state. I think one of the most gripping scenes is when Sierra and Logan are talking after the first time she runs into Dawson face to face, and her actions are completely different and disconnected than in the other scenes, proving her emotional instability at that moment because everything was piling up on her. I LOVED that, because we got to see her thoughts and have them miscommunicate, and further develop their relationship in that way.
The conversations Sierra has with Logan, Jules (his mom) and Seth, made me genuinely cry. The biggest takeaway I got was that life is too short to cling to the past, and that confronting your fears, although scary, helps reach happiness sooner.
Overall, this was a GREAT debut novel and I can't wait to read more of Darcy's books. She's definitely one of my new fave author's to watch!

Worth the Risk by Darcy Gamble is a dreamy little treat for lovers of small-town, second-chance romance. We meet Sierra, a woman living by the motto “live fast, die young”, chasing the thrill of rock climbing and the freedom of the open road. She’s spent years avoiding her hometown like the plague – until fate, with a mischievous sense of humor, strands her there when her van breaks down right on its doorstep.
It’s just her luck that the one person who finds her stuck on the side of the road is Logan – her ex and the man she left behind without so much as a goodbye. Logan offers her a place to stay and some work while her van gets fixed, but what he’s really hoping for is something he never got all those years ago: closure.
As Sierra and Logan begin spending time together again, old memories surface and familiar sparks begin to glow. Logan slowly realizes that the feelings he once had for Seirra never truly faded. Sierra, however, carries the weight of her past and believes that happily-ever-after simply isn’t meant for someone like her.
Darcy Gamble does a beautiful job weaving Sierra’s past into the present, carefully revealing the moments that shaped the strong yet guarded woman she has become. And Logan’s steady, patient love for her is nothing short of heart-melting.
This story is charming, heartfelt, and sprinkled with humor and warmth. A cozy reminder that sometimes the road leads you home might just be the one worth taking the biggest risk on.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First, the book itself felt very fast-paced. Almost too fast at times, to the point where I didn’t feel like I had enough time to truly form an emotional connection to the characters. I love a good second-chance romance, and there was so much history and trauma between them that I really wish had been explored more deeply.
That’s not to say I didn’t resonate with Sierra, because I did. What she went through and how it shaped her was heartbreaking, and I felt for her. But at the same time, it felt like the same issues that drove them apart at seventeen were still very present in their relationship now. They both acknowledged that they had grown and matured, but they kept falling back into the same patterns.
Because of that, their reconciliation toward the end felt a bit rushed to me. It was like everything suddenly clicked in the last few chapters, and I just wish we had seen more of that growth unfold naturally over time.
And while their chemistry was undeniable, it often felt more rooted in physical attraction than emotional healing. I wanted to feel that emotional rebuilding between them — the trust, the vulnerability, the process of truly finding their way back to each other.
Overall, this was a quick read with a compelling premise, but I personally would have loved more emotional depth and more time spent really unpacking their past and their journey back to each other.

Worth The Risk is the first (#1) book in the SAGEBRUSH series
Sierra Howard escaped the deadbeat town she grew up in, running from Sagebrush, running from her past, running from her shame, running from her ex boyfriend, Logan LaSalle.
When her van breaks down on her way to her next climbing adventure just outside her former home town, she is forced to face her past when her rescuer turns out to be none other than Logan.
Short on money, when Logan offers her a part time job, Sierra is forced to agree. Can they put the past behind them or will their secrets lead to Sierra leaving Sagebrush again, for good this time? ———————————
This was an interesting read, it has an promising premise.
Unfortunately I I really struggled to connect with the main characters. It felt throughout that they were just totally bad for each other. Constantly clashing, and by the end I still didn’t feel like Sierra would stay.
However, the protagonist was great, really vile. I would have liked to see him have more of an impact throughout the story.
There are open door spicy scenes in the book but they are tastefully done.
I read an ebook copy of this book, with around 300 pages, great editing and an attractive, eye catching cover.
With thanks to Darcy Gamble and BookSirens for an early read of this book. All comments are my own honest, unbiased opinion.
It’s rare I can sit down and read a book from cover to cover but this book was easy to do that with. I was hooked from the beginning, this is not your typical romance story. There is so much character development and the characters are able to grow exponentially throughout the plot.
I really loved the dual perspectives off this story because we got to see how the characters thought of themselves vs each other which I think helped the plot a lot.
This story deals with heavy topics such as child sexual assault, neglect, and police corruption but in a tasteful way that sheds light on the severity of the topics. It also talks some about the struggles women often face surrounding sex and some of the negative connotations that go along with the topic. I loved the way that Sierra’s behavior was portrayed as an effect of her childhood neglect and helps to normalize these behaviors and reframe where the blame is placed.
Overall I really loved seeing this couples love story unfold. It highlighted some really heavy topics in a way to give power to the victim in the situation and can help to normalize these behaviors. This author was able to create an amazing story that I was unable to put down, and incorporated several elements that I typically don’t like in the books I read but I really enjoyed in this story.

Worth the Risk by Darcy Gamble 5 out of 5 stars ARC
Thank you Darcy for this early copy. All parts of this review are of my honest opinion 💚
Worth the Risk was a great read! It was my first ever book with rock climbing characters and cave systems and I was NOT disappointed. I loved how both of these passions/outlets helped each character grow into better people.
Our FMC, Sierra, went from a troublemaker teen and a past that still affects her and others to a more mature and hardworking woman. She uses rock climbing as a passion and that has helped take that behavior and use it to fuel what she does. At the same time, she does use this as a way to never return to her hometown, but fate had other plans. Our MMC, Logan, went from a more anger-filled teen to a man that communicates and works way too hard. It took him a while to change, but his family and the business helped as much as they could. But I think the two coming together helped create some much needed healing for not just our MCs, but for everyone as a whole.
I genuinely enjoyed this story and I'll recommend this to anyone who wants a cute romance story with some emotional baggage.
💓 Dual POV 💓 Small Town with Caves 💓 Second Chance Romance 💓 Rock Climbing 💓 Corrupt Sheriff 💓 Runaway 💓 Character Growth
I thought this book was an engaging, easy-to-dive-into second-chance romance that kept me hooked from beginning to end. Sierra and Logan’s dynamic is immediately compelling—their history gives their banter a natural spark, and the lingering tension between them makes their journey back to each other especially satisfying.
Set against the rugged backdrop of rock climbing and van life. Sagebrush feels richly developed and lived-in, almost becoming a character itself. I especially enjoyed how the town’s gossip and close-knit atmosphere added both humor and emotional weight as Sierra confronted pieces of her past.
Both main characters show meaningful growth. The story touches on heavier elements from Sierra’s history, which add emotional depth, though I did find myself wishing those moments had been explored just a bit further.
The writing is good, particularly in the climbing scenes, which adds authenticity. The supporting cast also brings charm and personality, making me curious about future books in the series.
Overall, this is a strong and satisfying series starter—gritty yet sweet, emotional yet hopeful. If you enjoy second-chance romance with small-town heart, layered characters, and a touch of adventure, this one is definitely worth picking up.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I received this ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Worth the risk is a second chance romance novel. Sierra runs away from her town leaving her boyfriend, friends and family behind. Her boyfriend never stopped looking for her. Seven years later she’s back again but doesnt want to stay long. Her ex(boyfriend) helps her get back on her feet and his feelings for her start showing. He tries a lot to keep her there. But will she stay and rekindle the relationship?
This was an interesting read. But I kept asking questions. Like where is Sierras mom? Why did it take this long for Sierra to open up about what happened to her in the past? I didn’t like how she was so hung up on the past— always hiding herself in public. Logan tries so hard to help her move on and I just felt bad for him. I did feel like some intimate moments he was being used and it broke my heart since he was so in love with her. Overall, Logan was my favorite. So caring, sweet, funny and so affectionate. The funny scenes were good too. I thought it was funny Logan reciting poetry in bed.
Thanks to Darcy Gamble for an early read of this book. All comments are my own.
I went into this not knowing how I’d feel about a romance centered around rock climbing and cave exploring, but it completely won me over. The outdoor adventure element gave the story such a fresh twist, and it wasn’t just there for aesthetics. The caves and climbing routes mirrored what the characters were going through emotionally, which made everything feel layered and meaningful without being heavy.
Sierra is trying hard to outrun the mistakes of her teenage years, pouring all that old chaos into something challenging and productive. She’s determined, a little guarded, and absolutely refuses to slip back into who she used to be even if that means avoiding home at all costs. Logan, on the other hand, has grown out of his hot-headed past but still carries a lot on his shoulders. Watching them reconnect, confront old wounds, and slowly figure things out felt real and earned. If you like second-chance romance with small-town tension, complicated history, steady character development, and just enough drama (hello corrupt sheriff 👀), this one is such a fun, heartfelt read.
A brilliant small town, second chance romance. Super cozy!
In this book we follow Sierra who left a small town called Sagebrook 7 years ago after she split from her high school boyfriend Logan. Before long she finds herself back in town and face to face with the man himself. But as days go one and old feelings return, how will both of them fare? And what happens when Logan finds out the real reason she left town?
This is a different read for me however I loved every second. I found myself giggling and getting excited as this story unfolds. All the characters had great depth and for once they had good communication which is such fun to read. I was super invested in their story and couldn't wait to pick it back up every time.
My only minor flaw was that I felt the pace was a little rushed in places and there could have been more time to sit down and unpack some situations more. After all this book is under 300 pages so there could have been a few more to really get deep here.
Other than that this is a great book and I look forward to reading more from this author.
Worth the Risk by Darcy Gamble was such a fun and emotional ride. This story had the perfect mix of tension, romance, and character growth that kept me hooked the entire time. I loved that the characters didn’t just magically get over their issues—they actually worked through them and grew because of it. The chemistry between Logan and Sierra had me from the very beginning. The fact that they both knew they loved each other, even if they tried to hide it (well… mostly Sierra), made the emotional tension even better. One of my favorite things about this book was the character development. Both characters had their own struggles and baggage, and watching them work through those issues while falling for each other made the story feel authentic and heartfelt. I even caught myself sitting on the couch reading parts out loud to my best friend while cracking up. Overall, Worth the Risk lives up to its title and delivers a romance that feels both exciting and heartfelt. I’ll definitely be checking out more from Darcy Gamble because for this being her debut novel, it was AMAZING!
This was such a good start to the Sagebrush series. I’m a sucker for small-town romance, and this one really pulled me in with the emotional tension and history between the characters.
The story centers around returning to a place filled with memories and unfinished feelings, and of course running into the one person you never expected to see again. That mix of awkward reunions, lingering attraction, and unresolved past issues made the story feel very real. The chemistry between the main characters was definitely there, but what I liked most was that their relationship actually had depth. It wasn’t just instant love—it was messy, emotional, and something they had to work through.
I also loved the small-town atmosphere. The side characters and setting made everything feel cozy and lived-in, which always makes a romance better for me. There were moments that were sweet, a little angsty, and a few that made me want to shake the characters and tell them to just talk already.
This book was so rewarding in many ways as it explored the growth that two MCs had to go through as they dealt with their past and its scars.
Sierra comes from a tough upbringing, there was so much pain that made her run, she has geared her anger in escaling as a means to quiet the monsters and it has helped her mature. She is now back in town (grudgingly) and she has to deal with Logan, her childhood friend, and first love. HE also had issues to deal with in his youth, now he is no the angry kid anymore but a more steady man. There is still a lot for them to work together, but having had the time to mature and grow also make them better at communicating. Their redemption story is a hard one as they both deal with relationship fears, but it is going to take giving in, trusting, and understanding to start a new journey together. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was so amazing and incredibly well written. It sucked me on from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I instantly fell in love with Logan and Sierra. I Darcy made me feel like I was right there in the story with them and I was able to feel all their emotions and heartache from their past of being together and then separated for seven years. I shed many tears reading this story. My heart broke for Sierra because of her home life when she grew up and then the scandal that forced her to leave Sagebrush. I love how snippets of the past were revealed little by little he because it made me want to keep reading to find out what was the real reason Sierra left town. My heart broke for Logan because Sierra had left without a trace. He was just a shell of his former self without the other half of his soul. Well done Darcy and I cannot wait to read the other books in the series.

This was such a heartfelt and easy-to-get-lost-in romance. It really leans into the idea of second chances, and I loved how it balanced emotional depth with lighter, funny moments.
Sierra comes back to a town she never wanted to see again and ends up working for her ex, Logan. Their history is complicated, and the story focuses on how they deal with what happened in the past.
I liked that Sierra wasn’t perfect. She makes questionable choices, but it fits her character. Logan is more grounded, and the contrast between them worked well.
The pacing is steady, and the relationship rebuild feels believable. There’s some tension, but it doesn’t feel overdone.
If you like small-town romances, emotional healing, and characters finding their way back to each other, this one is definitely worth picking up.
I received a complimentary copy from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Okay I loved this book so much I couldn’t put it down. I loved how the characters developed and truly loved each other while coming to terms with the past.
Sierra’s ‘live fast, die young’ lifestyle compared to Logan’s settled down one is a true testament to how opposite they are, and throughout the story you find out why each of them have that mindset it’s even more heartwarming or heartbreaking depending how you look at it.
While on the outside Sierra seems like she can’t wait to leave sagebrush and get away from commitment, Logan seems like the perfect gentleman. Neither may be the case.
Overall I really did love this story and the family they introduced in it (I would have like to hear more about Sierra’s mum) and I can’t wait for any further books! 💕
Thank you to Darcy Gamble and BookSirens for letting read this ARC for free and I am leaving my thoughts voluntarily.
Thoroughly enjoyed the book with its witty language, well built-out characters and lack of cliche scenes and expressions. This book is a great example that there are more wonderful stories to be told other than about billionaire bosses and mafia kingpins. The characters were relatable, they possessed both their own unique strengths and areas of growth, and their pairing's chemistry was both hot and emotionally satisfying. I particularly liked how the authored allowed the couple to simmer and reconnect for a good long while before putting them in bed together. Oh and the bedroom scenes were as steamy as one would desire from this genre, yet also playful and with depth. Would definitely read more from the author.

I was given an advanced copy in return for my honest review.
Sierra and Logan are given a second chance at love 7 years after they were toxic AF together. Both characters needed to grow and being separated allowed them the opportunity to do so without tearing each other down. I thought it would be a normal black cat/Labrador grumpy/sunshine trope, but the black cat was sweet to others and the Labrador had his own issues.
I liked that they learned to communicate better, secrets destroy everything, and both had their flaws to fix before the HEA. The big reveal of the villain was also great, I can let you know who they remind me of when it isn't a spoiler. 😉
I really liked it, the book is a nice quick read and the side characters are interesting enough to add a little quirk. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Great vibes were caught at the very beginning of the first chapters. It’s been a fun and easy read. The banter was nice and everything between Sierra and Logan was natural, playful and poignant at times. I’ve loved the fragile hope blooming in both of the MCs sentiments.
Sierra had been through traumas that I cannot grasp entirely but the emotional layers put in the book have helped me understand some of the actions and things she did or said. Happily, the author kept it on the light side of things.
I loved the second chance trope in here, and it was a pleasure to see them work their way through everything they been through and find themselves at the end. It’s a small town romance and I’m curious to see what’s happening with people in Sagebrush.
I applied for ARC because I wanted something different from my usual readings - I'm more into urban fantasy or paranormal romance, so I struggled a bit to get into the story. But I got hhoked up real quick, and thoroughly enjoyed the ride! I particularly loved the peeks into the rock climbing world, it made Sierra (FMC) look very interesting to me, on top of being a strong, relatable charachter. The banter with LOgan is nice without being overwhelming (yes, you WILL fall in love with him, you'll be head over heel before you know). At the end of the day, this book started off with a mix I didn't find quite enticing on the menu: second chance, small town, kinda hallmark vibes - but it turned out great. I'm so happy this is the start of a series, I look forward to read more!
A unique plot and setting where 2 young adults reunite after a long separation after Sienna leaves town without a word . Logan heartbroken and stunned spends years looking for Sienna initially thinking she was taken or dead. He hires a private investigator who confirms she was alive. She shows up her hometown while traveling thru and has to stay due to a transportation and financial situation. Logan helps her and the journey of past and present begins. It has lots of twists and turns and old emotional wounds. It’s spicy and real. As they both work through their emotional baggage of the past. The author’s ability to understand and interpret their emotions and feelings makes it real. It was a powerful display of the minds way of how we perceive ourselves, others and events that shape our beliefs and actions. Thank you Darcy Gamble for allowing me to read this ARC .

I really liked Worth the Risk. Both of the main characters were so interesting, and I really enjoyed seeing their relationship grow. I loved how both of them acknowledged how bad their past was, and how hard they tried to get a better future. I felt so bad for Sierra. She had such a difficult upbringing, and it really shaped the way she looked at the world and all possible relationships. The author deals with very difficult topics so well. This was not a story where the characters see each other with stars in their eyes. They are both guarded and trying to see what their futures could hold, together or apart. I liked the rock climbing/ cave exploring parts of the story. It was very enjoyable to see the characters doing what they loved with each other. I liked this book and would read more from this author.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 stars) I love a good second chance romance, and as soon as I read the plot for this one, I was all in. And honestly, it did not disappoint. Sierra and Logan’s story is full of old wounds and hard moments they both have to face before they can truly be together. Their connection feels real, messy, and emotional, just like two people who have lived complicated lives and now have to decide if forgiveness and growth are worth the risk. Logan is so in love, and reading his POV just feels cozy and sincere. I also appreciated how the book shows that a relationship only works when there is communication and compromise on both sides. It made their journey feel honest. Their relationship was easy to root for, and I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommended.
Thank to the author/publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Second Chance, Former BFFs with Childhood Trauma and Adventurous Setting
This book has a lot going for it, and it did keep me reading, although I found a huge disconnect that Sierra was so closed off, and would not open up to Logan or his family who had been so kind and welcoming to her during her childhood. It took the author a long time to explain this "mystery", but then the book came together. Logan and Sierra were cute together and I routed for their HEA while they both demonstrated a lot of character growth throughout the story. I enjoyed the small town, Logan's family and their unique business. I also liked learning more caves, rock climbing and that part of the US. The "mystery" and "villain" kept me intrigued so I will look forward to reading more from this author and series - Enjoy!
I was sent an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
