Continuing with Cayson and Skye's story and how they're getting on now they're in a relationship, but thrown in is the start of Slade and Trinity's relationship.
Slade and Trinity have the enemies to lovers relationship, but they don't want their friends to know or commitment so they keep their friends with benefits relationship to themselves. They find out they actually do like each other more than possible, it was good seeing their relationship grow and turn into something else.
I'm not sure which couple I prefer, can't wait to read more in the series, I received this book in return for my honest opinion.
Skye & Cayson are adorable! He does everything and anything for her but she’s sooooo proud to be independent. Slade & Trinity are playing with fire within each other. Curious as to how their relationship will suffice in the next book!
This is the continued story of the Skye and Cayson and the beginning of Slade and Trinity's story. I love that we go into this book as if we never stopped from the first book. It's still focused on Cayson and Skye but also sharing that focus with Slade and Trinity's beginning, while still having the rest of the gang in the book as well. I would compare it to like watching the TV show Friends. After each episode (book) you get everything solved so you don't feel like you have to keep reading, but then the next book starts right where the previous book leaves off. If you can't get enough of these characters, this makes a great series to read!
I received a complimentary copy from the author...
In this book we get a continuation of Skye and Cayson, but we also get the starting romance of Slade and Trinity. I absolutely love the Slade and Trinity story line because they are perfect for each other, but they just don't see it. Skye and Cayson are still very cute, but Skye's prideful behavior was getting annoying throughout the book.
Can't wait to see what happens next. Will Slade and Trinity finally get caught after all the sneaking around?
I loved seeing more of Skye and Cayson's relationship develop. I love the banter between Slade and Trinity and can't wait to see where their story leads.
Cayson and Skye are perfect as perfect as any couple can be. Their friends don’t understand why they haven’t been intimate yet. Cayson says he’s a patient man and not bothered, while Skye she’s ready, but it seems she’s not. Skye knows deep down that once they cross that line what if it doesn’t work out. Slade and Trinity have never gotten along but they agree to keep going with the one thing that they do like with each other, only they don’t want their friends to know and it’s getting harder and harder to pretend they hate each other in front of their friends. Cayson and Skye have a disagreement, and when Skye gets told something she realises that nothing is worth losing Cayson. Slade and Trinity start to realise that they have feelings for each but neither one of them is ready to admit it, will they be able to before it’s gone.
These books so far are okay but there are a few things that just seems off for me. The whole relationship with Cayson and Skye seems clingy and obsessive. For someone who claimed to have loved her for years it took months before they were even intimate. Kept saying waiting to make it special. What was the hold up??? Skye's father I don't get at all. I'm not sure what the age range of the parents are, I'm assuming in their 40's but his obsession with his weight seems so out of character for him. Every meal he has a salad so he can keep his appearance to be attractive for his wife....WTF! It is usually the reverse where the woman watches her weight but for him it just seems weird. As for Trinity and Slade I am still undecided on them. I'm just not sure I can last for the whole 51 books in this series. Seems a little bit to much I'm already wanting to give up and move on.
My biggest issues with this book is that it seems like the author did little to know research on the extra stuff...as someone who lives near Boston, Skye and Cayson's weekend at a Boston BEACHSIDE resort was farfetched. I wouldn't call the hotels on the waterfront as "beachy" or places you'd open the windows to hear the waves... and a ski resort and chalet in Connecticut with a GRIZZLY BEAR? Pretty sure we don't have grizzly bears in New England. And Trinity with a single family home by herself- doubtful in Cambridge. I also don't think Harvard students talk like this crew... but I know more Harvard students than millionaire kids.... I'm not sure how far I'll go in this series but for free- I'll keep going.
After reading the previous book, I decided to not move forward with this series....fortunately for me, I was given the next two installments of the series for free. I must say, this book is exponentially better than the last. In fact, I felt more connected to not only the characters, but to their situations. In this book, we get to witness Skye and Cayson's blooming relationship as well as the fire that is igniting between Trinity and Slade. I love how descriptive and expressive this book is. The characters were more likable, and the story progressed at a more desirable speed. I enjoyed reading this book very much, and I honestly cannot wait to see what happens next.
Cayson and Skye are building their relationship while Slade and Trinity are hiding theirs. This book continues from the first story but does leave you a little hanging in the end. Slade and Trinity spend a lot of time sneaking around together. They are trying to act normal around their friends but they notice something is off between them. Are they actually getting along instead of arguing with each other? They almost get caught a few times and pretty soon I think they will realize there is more going on than just sex. Good story.
“Chicks are always wrong. But always let them think they’re right.”
Um, okay then...
Quite immature characters, to the point of asking about positions in bed of relatives (cousin), as well as not using prophylactics even though they aren’t exclusive...
I think this story could have been better & more exciting & dramatic if the ex (Zack) had decided to do something bad as revenge, but he was stopped before he could do anything.
I read this book in Forever and Ever Boxed Set- Books 1-3, by E. L. Todd.
Ok...I am not loving this book. It feels repetitive and long winded. It's the same old concept...they haven't made it all the way, they hate each other, Zach keeps popping his head up and they keep hurting and threatening him. The first book had me hooked in. I'm so puzzled how there are 51 books in this series. I am going to switch to something different and come back to this series to try again. It wasn't really bad, it just felt like a far cry from the first book.
Cayson and Skye are together but Skye is worried that if they move forward it will ruin their friendship. Slade and Trinity are Cayson and Skye's best freinds, and they hate each other. One night while drunk walking home Slade makes a move and they become sex buddies. They want to keep it from their friends because they don't actually know how they feel about each other. Could there be more? Great read.
I hate the way some of the guys speak to the girls. Slade called Trinity a bitch and a whore but I’m glad she called him out for saying that to her cause it was really annoying me. I liked Cayson and Skye more than Slade and Trinity, but I do think they can only get better as the series goes on. I didn’t know this series is as long as it is, but I have to say it’s kind of fun because it sort of feels like reading a tv show, so we’ll see how far I get into this series.

I feel like this series is going to turn out to be like the bold and the beautiful the story drags on and in with petty drama thrown in to make it longer. I enjoyed the story line but didn't really enjoy the characters they feel like teens more than 20 something , their bickering is so petty too it's like hearing my teens bickering you shut up no you shut up. I'm not sure if I will be continuing this series as it's tedious and a bit boring no offence to the author.
Teil sogar gesteigert...
I thought this book was going to be all about a new couple (Slade & Trinity) but not really. It is the beginning of their story but we also get the continuation of Skye and Cayson’s story in their povs. It was more enjoyable than the first book because Slade and Trinity are great characters. However, there story does not finish with this book so it probably continues in the third book.
Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All of the opinions are my own and this did not affect my review in any way.
Sometimes all I need is a fast paced, fluffy romance novel to get out of a reading slump. After receiving a copy of this book I knew it was the perfect novel to get my flow going again, and although the first book in the series was not my favorite book I was still engaged enough in the story to want to finish the next two books. As with the first one, this book was not a masterpiece, but it did the job and got me engaged enough for me to read it in less than a week.
In If Loving You is Wrong we follow the events right after the first book, we follow Cayson and Skye in their new relationship and we also follow Slade who is enjoying his single life more than he should. But when Trinity makes a stupid decision and gets herself in a dangerous situation, he drops everything just to help her.
This is everything you can expect from a romance novel, it has angst, banter and a couple that is too good to be true. This is for sure not the best book I have ever read but it is entertaining. In this book Cayson and Skye are together and you still can´t help but root for their relationship to stand the tests they are faced with. We also get to see the start of “something” between Slade and Trinity and if I am honest I was way more invested in their story. Both Slade and Trinity are flawed which made the story much more real.
My favorite part about the book has to be the family dynamics, both Cayson and Skye as well as all the other characters in the book come from big loving families and that was heartwarming to read about. I come from a big family so I was able to deeply connect with that aspect of the book. Also I love how much they all care and protect each other, it was a perfect portray of what a family is supposed to be like.
The plot is okay, it is fast paced and although it does not have a lot of substance to it, I didn’t expect much more from a book like this. The characters are somewhat developed and I like pretty much everyone. However I do have to admit that sometimes it felt unrealistic how much of their lives the characters share with each other (tmi tbh).
I honestly have nothing bad to say about this book, it really was a middle of the road romance novel that although I enjoyed it does not have enough substance for me to be over the moon about it. Completely fine in my opinion. I must admit that finding out this is a 20+ book series was discouraging, I will by no means read the whole series, there is no way you need 20+ books for a love story. However I will finish the last book in the boxed set I received and call it a day.
Love the books, I am almost through, but I can't figure out where all the characters fit in the family. I wish I had a family chart somewhere. I Have looked all over the net but can't find where the last few characters go.
I love trinity’s character and I’m eager to see her relationship with Slade unfold. It’s also nice to continue into Skye and Cayson’s relationship even further and learn a bit more about all the family dynamics
