The Forgetting Room was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed this collection of stories. I think it is to be expected that with collections like this, there will be stories that resonate with people differently and especially when those stories span different sub genres. That being said, I didn't dislike any of the stories in this book. There were some standouts for me that I thought were especially chilling and clever, but I did enjoy the experience of reading all of these.
Any reader that enjoys horrors and crafted collections of weird stories will have am awesome time with The Forgetting Room!
A well-crafted creepypasta collection, though it was far funnier than I expected: the premises were entertaining (though not entirely unfamiliar or unusual), occasionally dark, but often comical. The endings made me smile or cringe. However, there were a couple of stories I enjoyed more: the closing tale, "Holy Shit," which also inspired the cover, about a kid discovering that the new church his family is frequenting is serving a different kind of god; and "Grief Support," about a grief support group whose counselor is acting quite fishy.

K. G. Lewis proves again he's one of the best short story compilation authors out there. He can throw humour into a story naturally, then scare the life out of you in the next paragraph.
Personal favourites include:
'Pistachio Place' was an early standout, with a perfectly scary setting - a creepy attic, a family secret, and a monster puppet
'Damned' gives you a great creature feature, and that last line, chefs kiss!
'Grief Support' so well written, showing that horror can be as moving as it is terrifying.
Highly recommend this collection!

An interesting range (horror, sci-fi, weird etc.) of short stories. As with all such collections some appeal more than others. I particularly liked the ending of a story called ‘Damned’. There was much here to recommend and I, for one, will be searching out more from this author. I received a copy via BookSprout and this is my independent review.
Awesome collection of bed time horror stories! Loved them. Unhinged. What can I say. You can binge this or just let one story frighten you at a time just before bed. Make sure to read it when it’s dark.
