The book Verti radiates a charming and childlike sense of wonder. The voices created by the author for the main trio feel realistic yet whimsical, and the book has a cosy, immersive quality. Despite this the author nicely balances this warmth with tension. I would recommend this book to any young adult reader, particularly those who enjoy fantasy novels.
