She reads endings. He feels like a beginning.

Lunaria Reed doesn't do permanent. As a celestial witch who reads death in the stars, she learned young that love only leads to loss. She's in Haven Shores for one job—fix a dead garden, leave by spring. Then the uptight mayor decides her garden needs supervising—and nobody warned her he'd look like a Greek statue in business casual. The way his voice drops when he says her name? Not helping her exit strategy.

Hux Holt is fine. Responsible. Definitely not broken just because his lion went silent years ago while everyone else found their mates. Then a dirt-smudged witch storms into his office and his lion wakes up starving. She's temporary. She's trouble. She's a disaster in gardening gloves, and argues with him like she enjoys it. His lion is obsessed. He's not far behind.

When the garden unearths a decades-old murder and a curse feeding on Hux's family, running stops being an option. But between moonlit greenhouse nights and touches that feel like fate, staying might be the scariest thing Lunaria's ever done.

Welcome back to Haven Shores, where the gardens hold secrets, the lions love deep, and some roots are worth growing.

A simply riveting read with wonderful characters, plot that will keep you absorbed in the plot
Lunaria Reed is a Celestial Witch who is able to read death in the stars and in her younger years was unfortunate to learn that love would lead to loss. She is visiting at Haven Shores in the hope that she will gain employment.
All she wants to do is to work at bringing a dead garden back to life and then would leave by spring and then the mayor decides that the garden needs supervising and he had been surprised at how beautiful she was and even his voice changes as he speaks of her.
Huz Holt is a respected but he has been struggling with his lion after everyone but him seemed to have found their mates, since then his lion has gone silent. When a witch covered in dirt had crossed his path his lion had suddenly come back to life, he is fascinated by her and wants to know her better.
When Lunaria unearths a decades old murder that has cursed Hux’s family she realises that she will do whatever us needed to help him to find their own happiness now that the truth is known and his lion is once again roaring.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Lunaria comes to Haven Shores not expecting to stay for long. She has been hired to 'restore' the Celestial Botanical Gardens, but since they haven't been cared for in 60 years, since the celestial witch who maintained them died, she's not so sure that is even possible. But the gardens seem to welcome her and she felt they were calling her home. She, who'd lived in fourteen towns in ten years. She, who traveled light and moved on easily. Home. Nah.

Mayor Hux Holt had never felt quite right in his own life. He felt...incomplete. Five mated pairs now resided in his town, but he had never felt a mating urge, he just felt empty. Always had. When the beautiful celestial witch, Lunaria, blew into town, he wished he could feel for her. His lion woke up for the first time in years. Then she started uncovering secrets that explained everything, but a big bad was coming and they might not be able to stop it from swallowing them all. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Tagline: "Cozy, Steamy, and Magical: A Fun Paranormal Shifter Romance in Haven Shores by Milly Taiden"

Review: I recently finished “Mane Hex: A Paranormal Small Town Cozy Shifter Romance Series - with Heat (Haven Shores Book 6)” by Milly Taiden and really enjoyed the ride! The blend of shifter romance and small-town paranormal mystery was engaging, and I appreciated the cozy, heartwarming feel that runs throughout the story. The chemistry between the main characters was steamy without overpowering the plot, and the quirky supporting cast added a lot of charm and humor.

That said, there were a few predictable moments and some minor pacing issues, but overall, this was a fun, entertaining read that left me looking forward to the next installment. If you like your romances with a touch of magic and plenty of heat, this book is a great pick!

Lunaria never stayed in one place for very long. As a celestial witch, she could read futures in the stars. She always chose to "get out of Dodge" before the worst happened... Until she came to Haven Shores. Brought in by her cousin, Luna couldn't see a path in the stars here. And she hadn't met Hux. Restoring the gardens was her big job, she was good at it. But solving a mystery and saving a town, plus Hux? She never signed up for that but was so on board....Fabulous conclusion yo the Haven Shores series by Milly Taiden!

Milly's books are stories that feel like she is living them, an she's the main character. I really get lost in them .
The character's are so real. They laugh, cry, love, argue. They make the stories come alive.
