The end of the Cartel is here. In the last installment of the Cartel series, everything is over. The legacy of Carter Jones is still in the air as Miamor tries to hold on to what’s left of their family. Forbidden love and consequences puts Miamor in a dangerous position as someone from her past re-emerges. Aries is clinging on to her life, while losing a battle within. Her mind is her worst enemy and it’s destroying her. All roads lead to this explosive ending and the very last book of the Cartel universe forever. It’s the author’s LONG KISS GOODNIGHT. Welcome to the Cartel.
JaQuavis Coleman also writes (with Ashley Antoinette) as "Ashley & JaQuavis".
JaQUAVIS COLEMAN, the New York Times best-selling author of Dopeman’s Trilogy, first burst onto the scene at the age of eighteen and quickly became a nationwide literary phenomenon. He and his wife Ashley Antoinette have coauthored numerous “street fiction” classics. With the birth of the Cartel series, the “Ashley and JaQuavis” brand took off. In 2013, twenty-seven-year-old Coleman was honored by Ebony magazine as being one of the Top 100 most influential African Americans in the country.
I had such high hopes for this book and I’m so disappointed. I get every story doesn’t have a happy ending but we just got left with 1000 questions. It just wasn’t a good ending to such an amazing series.
Disappointing...it's almost like JaQuavis did not pen this end. The repetition of the bandages on CJ. The inconsistencies of the storyline. In one chapter, Miamor said CJ was off the grid, then he was at Shakira funeral then Baby Tee and Dada knew he was still alive. Praise was supposed to be off the grid in Japan but it's stated he turned his phone on but then in chapter 11 while flying back to Miami, the same is repeated. Carter is mentioned in the prologue, alluded to while Miamor is in the hospital, then nothing again for many chapters. I finished the series out of obligation but most definitely disappointed in the delivery of this epic adventure of the cartel. The ending stunk horribly. There is no way we stayed invested this long in this series and it flopped with this type ending. These characters deserved so much more.
I’ve been riding since 2008 and I was so happy to be back in this world. I was disappointed at the ending and the fact that this world is probably done. I feel very unsettled. I wanted a tiny bit more. Many loose ends were left unfortunately.
But it’s time I go back through the OG Cartel books. I didn’t do my yearly reread yet.
Seriously, there is no way in the world this is the end. It has to be more! I'm soooo heated & pissed! That DC move told me everything I needed to know about Praise. My girls got to get their lick back. This cannot be their end.
Don’t get wrong, I love anything JaQuavis puts out, but these last two books were drawn out for nothing. Hell at least they could’ve seen each before she was setup (not trying to ruin any spoilers). I mean the first book is what got me addicted to the Cartel Series and he and his wife’s catalog.
While I’ve come to appreciate that there’s never any good endings with this author, this book by far ended horribly. It felt rushed, undone, and left so many contradictions and questions. The fact that I anticipated this book for this type of ending, a total disappointment.
Please Jaquavis don't let that be the end, put them back together! PLEASE, PLEASE. They need a very happy ending, with there family. Don't give up on this Story PLEASE.
As usual you kept us on the edge of our seats the entire ride. In my heart I knew the biggest reveal but the end broke me down. Ohhhhh my Miamor…the ending cut me deep. CJ, Mo, Aries all my family…my love for them has no end. And him…the GOD he has always been, smooth and silent. Well played….well played👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I want Praise to sufferrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
First and foremost, I just want to say thank you, Mr. Jaquavis Coleman. Truly. Because wow… my heart is broken into so many pieces. I’m torn—like really torn. One minute I’m happy, the next I’m pissed, then I’m just sitting there asking why over and over again.
I’m doing my best not to drop any spoilers because that’s never my style, but whew… this one hurt. And healed. And hurt again.
I hate to see this series come to an end, but at the same time—the love of my life is back. And that alone had my heart doing somersaults. Still… my girls. My girls. That betrayal cut deep. So deep. I didn’t feel right about it, not even for a second, and I kept wishing—hoping—it wasn’t going where I thought it was going.
What really got me was realizing that no matter how it played out, her heart was going to be shattered either way. The intention may have been mercy, but the pain? Inevitable. And that’s what made it so powerful.
I didn’t see it coming… even though, if I’m being honest, the clues were there the whole time. That’s the crazy part. The twists, the turns, the emotional roller coaster—this book put me through it. I now officially have a book hangover and no idea how I’m supposed to move forward.
Knowing this is the end hurts because in my heart, I want more. But I respect the craft, the vision, and the way you chose to close this chapter. I’ll be strong. I’ll take my man and ride off into the future with him… even if my heart is still in pieces.
So again, thank you for being the incredible author that you are. Just know—you broke my heart.
And with that said… fuck you, Flower. and fuck you, Praise.
Really??? Is this how it's ending??? Not fair at all. Why???? I feel that this is unfinished. This book left too many unanswered questions and cliffhangers. Somewhat disappointed.
I had been waiting on this book, then life happened when it came out. Now that I have read it, I'm a little disappointed. Now, don't get me wrong, the book was good as all his book, but this felt rushed. There is more story that could've been told. It seems as if JaQuavius was trying to get it done and out to us because life happened and put him behind the release date already put out. I gave it four stars because the book felt rushed.
I am so upset!!!! I am a total fan of The Murda Mamas, Carter Jones, The Cartel 1-10 and everything in between and after, Cartel Queen and for it to end the way it did is truly a slap in your fans face this can NOT be the end it can't end this way. I am so upset and distraught I am a loyal fan and avid reader of this series that was rude and flat out wrong I'm just distraught upset and heartbroken.
I can’t believe that’s the way it’s ending. After 15 years and so many books I cont believe it ended like that for Miamor, Aries and Carter. I’m happy CJ and Moe went unscathed but I would be more contempt if Carter knew what happened. If we find out what CJ and Moe does but hey who am I. Just a fan that’s been reading this story for years.
Why the hell would yall do this to us!!!!!!! We waiting YEARS!!! For sexy as Carter and yall do him and Mia like this?!!! I’m sad, I wanna fight, no there better be a twist or something!!!!!!! Mi and Cj went to Cuba!!!! Omg Flower?!!! My emotions are all over the place right now
Awesome series! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you for bringing these characters to life from the pages to our hearts. I love me some Carter Jones aka Senoj. That there man\character is a cold piece of work. If you’re reading this series please take the to read them ALL in order, you will thank me later.
This series was so good. The ending had me on a cliffhanger. This cannot be the end of Carter. We need more. I am so broken that it ended in his magnitude. They never got to reconnect. We need one more book. I normally don’t leave a review. But I hope the author sees this review and think about writing in one more book!!!!!!!!
Wow just wow. I been reading cartel series over the span of 10 years I believe. So reading this final one hit home. It was good at moments. Then started to drop.Didn't expect it to end it the way it did. But that's the cartel for you.
This has better not be the end of the road! Heck I’ve been wanting on Money Devils 2 since 2019. The cartel series is my favorite series and I refuse to believe that it is over. Please don’t do us like that.
I'm thankful for the books written; the stories were a true getaway. This last book did feel rushed and unfinished but I'm still going to be a lifelong supporter 💯📚
