Most of America's hunters are not trophy hunters but are after the meat. Unfortunately, much of the game harvested is treated or transported improperly resulting in a "strong gamey" taste that most object to. This little guide discusses the proper treatment of a deer once it is harvested making it a useful reference for any hunter regardless of skill level. Some recipes for the preparation of venison are included.
