This was such lovely story about true, real love not something flashy or phony. The small town sounds picturesque and it makes me want to move there and find a gorgeous, sweet handyman with a heart of gold. Charlie is honest and real and took a leap of faith. This book gave me all the warm feelings! I loved it!
Charlie was a matchmaker for a well known matchmaking service with rich and powerful clientele. However, the magic of bringing people together in love was giving way to rich men looking for trophy wives and the women more than eager to be one. Charlie couldn’t do it anymore. So she took a break (from the job and the inattentive boyfriend) and decided to rent her grandmother’s old cabin in a small sea village in Maine. Small town life is right up her alley and she soon finds herself falling in love with the town, including her grumpy handyman and his adorable daughter.
This overall wasn’t bad. It was a cute love story. Low stress. High spice. Not much to stress over. It just didn’t really hold my interest and it took me a lot longer to read this than it should have.
A feel good real love story. Noah & Charlie had an instant connection, but because of things they have been going through they weren't looking for anything, which is when you find everything you need. Love the single dad troupe & small town vibes. Ruby is so adorable.
Overall a cute story. I gave it 2 stars because there was quite a bit of double talk and repetitiveness. felt like it could have gone through some developmental edits beforehand.
A sweet getaway to a quaint homey town that warms you with some wholesome moments for those who have children and know the struggle of starting over with a little hope dashed in too that it will all work out.
I had a hard time with this one… The writing was difficult for me to get into with the flow of it. It had potential and I really liked the concept of it but it just didn’t deliver for me unfortunately…
I had high hopes for this. I know I’m not a fan of insta love but I was even willing to look past that. What I couldn’t do was look past the insta love AND the non communication.
