He’s my ex-boyfriend’s brother, an alpha with an old-fashioned face and a rugged demeanor. I’m the omega who’s managed to get myself stranded in the middle of nowhere with him during a snowstorm.

It’s fine though. It’s not like anything’s going to happen between us. We’re both adults and we have this thing called self-control. There’s nothing to worry about.

Except, there’s a trickle of heat flowing through my veins, and things are happening in my body that I can’t explain.

Wait. I’m not going into heat, am I?

Gone Wild is a blisteringly high heat MM omegaverse romance, featuring a swoon-worthy alpha, an incorrigible omega, and a love story that will melt the coldest of hearts.

I'm Jesse, and I write contemporary and paranormal MM romance.

Whether my characters are born magical, or whether magic is something they make between the sheets, I strive to take the reader into the mind of the narrator. My ultimate goal is to leave the reader feeling like they’ve made a new friend or have spent a few hours flirting with a brand-new book boyfriend.

I love coffee, chocolate and daydreaming, in no particular order. I love conflicted characters, lust at first sight and angst – no seriously, ALL the angst. Give it to me!

Gone Wild is a fun omegaverse romance featuring stubborn Lucien and relaxed and quiet Branson. These two could not be more opposite, but due to the unforeseen winter storm, they are forced to cohabitate for over a week until it passes. This scenario creates the perfect amount of unresolved tension as these two tiptoe around one another, and the unforeseen reality of their situation presents itself.

Overall, I was super excited to read this author's take on an omegaverse setting, and my goodness, did this story not disappoint. It is full of steamy moments, forbidden feelings, and overall a strong emotional throughline that I could not get enough of. These two clearly have chemistry, and watching them resist one another for so long, until all their walls come crashing down, is expertly done and really catapults the story in a fun direction. Hopefully, there is more in this universe because I am very intrigued by a certain character.

I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND of Gone Wild y’all! It’s a snowed in, forced proximity, best friend’s brother omegaverse and it has EVERYTHING I wanted. Branson and Lucien are idiots to lovers in the BEST way, the delusion is strong but it’s SO OBVIOUS they are meant to be. The hilarious banter is just so @jesse_h_reign - it reminded me of the humor in Poetry On Ice, which despite being a VERY different story I also devoured.

The spice had me fanning myself 🥵, there’s a LOT and it’s HOT (unexpected heat in a cabin, it’s going to get SPICY). And it’s definitely another case of fast spice, slow burn (a favorite trope of mine) and none of it was gratuitous. I really enjoyed the omegaverse world building and AHHHHHH there’s SO MUCH scenting, SO MUCH heat delirium, and SO MUCH CARETAKING (Y’ALL HE MAKES HIM SOUP).

Book like this are exactly why I love omegaverse SO much. And I think this one is really accessible to OV beginners too, adding it to my rec list for people wanting to try it for the first time. HIGHLY recommend, if you are looking for a low angst smutty read on the shorter side that you absolutely cannot put down, Gone Wild is IT. Out March 4!

Let's be real, when someone mentions the tropes omegaverse with forced proximity, I’m immediately sold 🥰

Lucien is an omega, and Branson is an alpha. When they stay in a cabin and there happens to appear a blizzard, snowing them in, they are forced to spend some time all alone. Well, you may guess what happens if something like that happens, especially when the omega gets into a very spontaneous heat 🥵

Aside from all the insane tension this two definitely have, there is so much humour in this book, which I absolutely loved 😅

There really isn’t anything this author can’t ride insanely good, so this was another 5-star-read as well 😍

This is such a sweet MM omegaverse book! Cabin, snowed in and an omega going to heat is a fantastic recipe for a swoon worthy story! I absolutely loved Branson and the way he was with “Lucy” made me melt. I definitely recommend this book!!

I honestly don’t know what to make of this book. For once Jesse has left me speechless but not a 5 stars read way. I’ll wait on after the release to rate it because I’m still not sure.

Let me explain.
First, I’ve never read a heat that long, ever, in my life. I joke you not, half, if not more, is about Lucien’s heat.
I loved the pre heat, the explanation, the mental changes and all. Lucien was super funny at time and Branson was a sweetheart. I loved the fact that Branson had a crush on Lucien since his first meeting and that Lucien has a huge denial on how much he find Branson sexy, but that about it.
Second, I don’t know if I can call it a romance (for me). The smut and the heat was taking SO much that honestly, I was not swooning, or barely. Smut and romance work together but on that specific case, it did not (still for me)
Third, some details did not had up. I had the impression that sometimes I was missing something. Some times gap but I had to go back to make sure i did not miss anything. Some details added but not really used.

For an horny book, yup, it works. For a romance book? I was lacking so much. I wanted to know Lucien and Branson more, I would have wanted to swoon over them but I did not. It felt like they could have been more than that, more than just physical attraction, maybe scent match, maybe fated.
Well I don’t know, I still enjoyed a good 60% of the book until after the heat. After that I was left with “I don’t know what’s going on”

Jesse is still one of my fav author, but I guess that one did not hit.

I had the pleasure of being an ARC reader!

I love her omegaverse, I love it so much. The details and the use of colors were such a nice touch. The characters!!! I’m very much like Lucy: I don’t check group chats, I hate the outdoors, I love watching TV, and I talk when I’m nervous to fill the silence.

This is a quick read, but from what we got of him, I loved it. I really enjoyed his POV, which makes up the majority of the book. Another thing I agree with Lucien on is that names you love can be ruined by other people. I knew a guy named Branson, and I thank the Lord (or should I say Jesse H. Reign) that this Branson wasn’t anything like him. He’s literally the definition of a giant teddy bear. Green flag.

He was such a caring alpha to his omega. I wish we got more of his thoughts and likes, and his relationships with his brother but again, this book was on the shorter side (imo) so what we did get was still enough. I feel like book two will be about Jensen,

I’m assuming I’ll have to wait until the release to receive the bonus in the newsletter, but I can’t freaking wait. I literally screamed when the next chapter didn’t have that sceneeeee. I needed to know!!!

But like always, Reign does a great job of sucking me into the story and making it impossible to put the book down. I hope others enjoy it too, especially if they’re just wanting a sweet omegaverse read.

This is what I want from a high-heat omegaverse!

Trapped by a blizzard in a remote cabin with the stoic alpha brother of his ex-boyfriend turned bestie, Lucien thinks things couldn’t get any worse. Then he realizes he forgot to bring his suppressant meds, and all signs point to an oncoming heat…

Lucien is my favorite kind of Jesse character. He is neurotic, demanding, and masking insecurity with heavy use of sarcasm. I love him. Branson is your typical alpha character (protective, sweet, totally whipped), but holy hell, the PINING! It’s softer than some of her work, but so poignant. Light on plot and heavy on steam, with just enough characterization to keep it interesting, this is perfect if you’re looking for a spicy snack. Mpreg does exist in this world, but it barely features. Highly recommended for readers of omegaverse or fans of Jesse’s signature pining.

This was perfection. I love omegaverse and this was so beautifuy done. The heat was *chefs kiss*. I did love that this wasn't a full strangers to lovers. They kmew each other but not well. I loved how kind and just wonderful Branson was, honestly. Like he did everything he could to make this better for Lucien. Lucien was more whiny, but also, hormones make you werid, so I figure that probably has some play in it. These two paired together very well, but aside from the actual romance aspect was the spice. The spice was inferno level hot. More please.

erm okay so this was everything soft and gentle with a crazy amount of heat —i loved every minute of it.

i have always ate up everything Jesse delivers but i was yet to read any of her omega verse and safe to say, i am here for it!

lucien and branson were put into the most unfortunate of circumstances while branson has always had a thing for his brothers ex boyfriend, i bet he didn’t expect a lucien sized gift to arrive at his door when a snowstorm is due.

these two were fun and downright filthy but the attentiveness, caretaking and pure love that flows through them both made it so sweet and romantic. i had fun reading this, it’s a perfect little pallet cleanser when you are feeling needy for alpha x omega vibe with all the nesting and knotting bc let’s be real we all get that craving heheh

Everything's gone red between that book and me.

Gone Wild is book one of the Wild Hearts series by Jesse H Reign.

This book made me sooooo giddy. I loved every second of it, all of Lucien's inner monologue and adorable clumsiness, all of Branson's self control and hot alpha vibes, all of the forced proximity and best friend's brother goodness... ALL.OF.IT.

It was fun, it was spicy, it was fast paced, it had all the rhythm I enjoy from a Jesse H Reign book, it had heat and knots and a few surprises, it was just what I needed to escape for a minute.

WHAT A FREAKIN TREAT. THANK YOU JESSE.

This book takes high heat to new levels - in more ways than one and I'm totally here for it! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I was sold as soon as Jesse H Reign announced she was releasing an omegaverse, I'm not gonna lie. But Jesse has given us a sweet, super spicy slice of deliciousness with Gone Wild.

It has it all; ex boyfriend's brother, forced proximity, an alpha who's a total sweetheart, an independent omega, knotting, mates, and everything you could wish for in an omegaverse romance.

I literally didn't want this book to end!

When omega Lucien misses the messages in his group chat letting him know his weekend getaway with his friends is cancelled because of the weather, he finds himself snowed in in a remote cabin with alpha Branson, the brother of his best friend - and ex - Jensen.

I like to think that fate conspired to also make Lucien forget his heat suppressant medication, leading him to go into heat and needing Branson to help him out... 😆❤️‍🔥🫠

I loved how Jesse set everything into motion and the way Branson went into protective alpha-mode for his Lucy, creating a safe space for him to get through his heat.

“𝑰’𝒎 𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆..."

“𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒍?”
“𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆.”

As you can imagine, the heat scenes live up to their name with scorching moments. The chemistry between Lucien and Branson is perfectly written.

Branson is such an amazing, sexy, and sweet guy, I totally love this man. And Lucien is so funny, I love the things he thinks and says. Lucy has closed himself off to alphas and finding a mate; his independent spirit making him steer clear, but deep down, he's been searching for someone to love him who won't clip his wings, and Branson is that person; loving Lucy enough to let him soar.

You can tell automatically this is a Jesse H Reign book with the humour and tone of the characters, and I love that about her work. I always manage to immediately fall in love with her characters, and it was the same here.

There were also some clever little elements such as the light connection between Branson and Lucy that made my heart swoon. Having a connection like that to someone would be incredible 🥹🫠✨️

Gone Wild is a blisteringly hot read, but it's also filled with a beautiful, soul-deep relationship.

𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒆. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆. 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆.

I really didn't want to let these characters go. As always with a Jesse H Reign book, I find myself wanting more of her guys!

Jesse's foray into omegaverse is a triumph! And I really can't wait for more to come in the Wild Hearts series 😍♥️

I was provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. These are my real sentiments about the story and everything written here is respectful, without meaning to harm anyone, but to offer my opinion as constructive criticism/compliments. Thank you, Jesse, for the opportunity!

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 - Solid 3.5 read, but rounded up to 4.
🔥🔥🔥/5

Couple: Branson and Lucien.
Structure: 1st person. Present tense. Dual POV (prevalence of Lucien's).

I was anxiously waiting for this book. The premise is so good. Branson and Lucien definitely have chemistry together. We can feel their attraction drepping from every page. Lucien made me cackle so many times with his OTT bratty behaviours LOL Branson is a saint for putting up with it AND finding it all cute.

The sex scenes were hot and sweet. Jesse really manage to mix both elements perfectly in those. What I felt was unbalanced was the falling in love part. We don't really see it. I understand that Branson's caring demeanour is already very attractive, but we don't get to see them really getting to know each other on a deeper emotional level. It left me feeling like they got together more because they were supposed to (fated mates) and because they had a strong physical connection, than because they developed love for each other.

We are told that they do fall in love. The final scenes are particularly adorable. I loved the clingy aspect of The need to be close at all times and make sure the other is happy. I loved Lucien wanting to be independent despite being mated and Branson respecting that. And the world-building was really good. But yeah, the emotional aspect of their relationship felt more told than shown, and I think it could have been better developed even if it made the book a few pages longer. At some point, I was a bit tired of so much sex and craving emotional dialogues and connection 🫣

As always, though, Jesse's writing is very good. I like her style, especially with her bratty characters. They are ridiculously funny and entertaining. As are the apparently brute men who get to be softie for their brats haha

Overall, it was a nice read, even if I thought it could have been phenomenal had the emotional aspect I talked about above had been more well-built. I am interested in seeing the sequel, which I believe will be Jensen's book (which is also something I wish we'd seen more in GW, his relationship with both Branson and Lucien, even though I liked how the conflict with him was handled).

If you're looking for a light, low-angst, very spicy story, this one is for you.

ARC Review — Gone Wild by Jesse H. Reign

4.5⭐️ 3.5🌶️

Gone Wild is a snowed-in, high-heat MM omegaverse romance that delivers intensity, tenderness, and an irresistibly indulgent alpha fantasy in equal measure. Omg, this was the most perfect omegaverse book. The omega dance moments were hilarious and the caretaking scenes made me sob!

Lucien is an independent, sharp, and deeply self-aware omega who has worked hard to build a full life for himself—career, autonomy, and all—at a time when omegas are only just beginning to claim that freedom. When a snowstorm strands him in a remote cabin with Branson, his ex-boyfriend’s alpha brother, he realises that he forgot his suppressants and this unexpected proximity turns a quiet getaway into something far more charged.

The chemistry between Lucien and Branson is immediate and compelling. Branson is everything a consent-forward omegaverse alpha should be: patient, attentive, emotionally present, and deeply respectful of Lucien’s autonomy. The story leans beautifully into the fantasy of an alpha who offers reassurance, choice, and care at every step, making the heat feel both intense and safe.

The steam level is very high, but it’s never empty. Every intimate moment is rooted in trust, instinct, and growing emotional connection. Jesse H. Reign excels at writing physical closeness that feels meaningful, and the snowy, isolated setting only amplifies the sense of intimacy and inevitability between the characters.

What truly shines is the balance between indulgence and heart. Branson is the dream Alpha all the Omegas would be dying to be with in some alternate universe! So patient, calm, caring and attentive. No wonder Lucy went crazy. Beneath the primal pull and explicit scenes is a love story that feels warm, affirming, and deeply satisfying. Lucien’s journey—being seen, wanted, and cherished without being diminished—lands beautifully, and Branson’s steady presence makes that journey feel earned.

Gone Wild is a sexy, comforting, snowed-in omegaverse romance that absolutely understands its audience. It’s tender, addictive, and designed to melt you right along with the blizzard outside. The perfect book to curl up on a rainy night with your candles and warm drink. I swear, it will be a beautiful experience.

Thanks so much for the ARC. You've ruined it again, Jesse and I love you for that!

Holy hell… Gone Wild had me absolutely feral. 🐺🔥

I had been waiting for Jesse to drop this ever since it was announced, and the second it landed on my Kindle I was DONE for. I wanted to devour it in one sitting like a little chaos gremlin… unfortunately work and life had other plans (rude), but trust me — if I could have ignored the world, I would have. 📖✨

From the very beginning Lucien had my whole heart. This man is pure chaotic energy in the best possible way. A dramatic, laugh-out-loud menace with the most unhinged inner monologue. I swear I was giggling every few pages because the things going on in his head were just… incredible. Absolute chaotic twink perfection. 😂💅

And then there’s Branson… the complete opposite vibe. Big, bearded, stoic, calm in a crisis — basically the exact person you want around when an omega’s surprise heat comes crashing in like a hurricane. The way he just steps up? Yeah… I melted a little. Actually a lot. 🫠🧔‍♂️

But the real danger here is the chemistry.
Because WOW.

When that heat hits… it is HOT hot. Like fan-yourself, kick-your-feet, stare-at-the-page-for-a-second kind of hot. 🥵 The forced proximity, the tension — all of it builds in the most delicious way. And those little flashes Lucien has afterwards of them together? My heart was an actual puddle. If you know, you know.

What I loved most is how Jesse plays with the omegaverse. It has the bones we know and love, but there’s an extra softness layered into it that completely worked for me. The dynamic between Lucien and Branson later in the story had me swooning so hard I genuinely didn’t want it to end. I could easily have read another hundred pages of them just existing together.

Also… I’m officially begging for more from this world because I have QUESTIONS. I need to know what’s going on with Jensen and I absolutely need to meet Wilder immediately. 👀

Compared to some of Jesse’s other books this one feels softer — just like she said it would be — but it’s still packed with heat. Light on plot, heavy on steam, and full of that signature pining that always hits. Basically the perfect spicy little omegaverse snack. 🌶️🐺

Highly, highly recommend.

Now excuse me while I sit here hoping we get more in this universe because I’m definitely not ready to leave it yet. 😌📚

I don’t know what he sees in my eyes, but when I look into his, I see the deepest part of him. An old, animalistic part that’s been stripped bare. I see a wild heart and a beautiful boy who was made for my knot.

In Gone Wild, independent, sassy omega Lucien gets snowed in with his ex's alpha brother Branson. Lucien has been taking full advantage of the chance to suppress his heats and put his full attention to building a full, successful life and career- something that is only recently possible for omegas. Unfortunately (or very fortunately 😆) he forgets to take his suppressants with him on his getaway and gets stuck in a cabin with a hunky, progressive alpha. Lucien isn't looking for a mate, but there's just something irresistible about Branson.
“You smell like something that’s mine.”

Jesse’s built us a world where the choice is between the alpha and the blizzard (instead of man v bear) and also given us the fantasy of a gentleman who understands the importance of consent and bodily autonomy. Branson's competent and capable and an alpha in the way Andrew Tate and the red pill incel losers on social media couldn’t even dream about. Branson is gentle when Lucien anticipates pain. He offers choices and patience when Lucien expects abandonment. He's the perfect fantasy of a man for Lucy.
I don’t have an off switch anymore. There’s no such thing as too much. There’s only my body and Branson’s, and the sounds we’re making together.

I really enjoyed the book and as always, Jesse's writing is beautiful. The book wasn't quite as successful for me as some of her others because Branson's character was a bit static. He's the embodiment of a fantasy- which is incredible of course- but we don't get a good sense of why he is the paragon that he is. He doesn't seem to have any flaws (other than indulging Lucy a bit too much 🤨🤪) and is this well of eternal patience. He cooks, he cleans, he makes s'mores, he knows how to navigate a cranky omega through his first heat better than anyone else alive... etc etc etc. As wonderful as he is, I wanted more from his character. He was just too perfect for me 😓.
This is why I’m here. Why I exist. To make Lucien’s toes curl. To make him tremble and cry out. To make his whole body shudder. It’s what I was made for.

If Jesse H. Reign writes it, I’m reading it. Period.

We’ve got missed group chat messages (relatable), a snowed-in remote cabin (delicious), and the stoic alpha brother of your ex-boyfriend-turned-bestie (chaotic excellence).
There's a blizzard rolling in, and so is Lucy's heat....oh and for the grand finale...his suppressants are somewhere that is not here. If that’s not the omegaverse equivalent of saying “I’m fine, Everything will be fine” while everything burns down, I don’t know what is.

What I loved most is how the chaos never feels cheap. The tension builds naturally, the isolation works its magic, and when Branson steps into protective mode. Oh, it’s quiet. Intentional. Devastatingly effective. No chest-beating theatrics. Just steady, grounded care. The kind that says, I’ve got you and actually means it.

And yes, let’s address the obvious: the heat is HEATING. But it’s not just there to fog up the metaphorical windows. Every intimate moment is steeped in consent, connection, and emotional progression. The physical intensity mirrors what’s happening internally — walls lowering, trust forming, instincts aligning. It’s not just hot. It’s earned.

Branson is the gold standard alpha: controlled, observant, endlessly patient. The man radiates competence. Meanwhile Lucien is all sharp edges and quick wit, fiercely independent and deeply wary of giving anyone the power to define him. He doesn’t want a cage disguised as devotion. He wants partnership. Freedom. Choice.

And that’s where this story really lands. Because beneath the scenting and nesting and blistering chemistry is something tender: a romance about being loved without being reduced. About someone strong enough to hold you — and strong enough to let you fly.

Final verdict… Gone Wild delivers primal intensity and emotional payoff in equal measure. It’s steamy, yes. But it’s also soft in the places that matter. A blizzard outside, simmering heat inside, and two characters who prove that surrender can be powerful without costing you who you are.

The Fun:

Gone Wild was fun, super hot, and impossible to put down. From start to finish, it’s full of chemistry, tension, and the kind of addictive writing that makes you devour the pages without even thinking. I laughed, swooned, and got completely caught up in the whirlwind of it all. And off course, all the slick and cum, rut, heat, nests, scent marking, marking you name it, Its omegaverse baby, right?

Some Issues:

That said, it wasn’t perfect for me. I felt like I’d read too many omegaverse stories lately, and parts of this one felt a bit familiar. Important moments, like the first dinner with the Branson family or Jensen’s first encounter, happen off-page, and some of Jensen’s reactions are a little over-the-top. There are endless inner monologues, and while the sex is fun and over-the-top, there’s a lot of it — maybe too much for some tastes. Interactions with anyone else besides the main couple are basically nonexistent.

Why It Still Works:

Even with all that, Jesse’s style keeps you hooked. The pacing is fast, the tension never drops, and the intensity of the main couple makes the story electric. Those exaggerated reactions, endless thoughts, and even the off-page moments somehow add to the chaos and charm instead of killing it. The heat and fun never stop, and the story somehow balances over-the-top antics with just enough emotional pull to make you care.

The Takeaway:

In short, Gone Wild is wild, steamy, and completely addictive. It’s not subtle, it’s not perfect, but it’s exactly the kind of over-the-top, full-throttle read that makes you forget everything else. I rolled my eyes, laughed, swooned, and loved every ridiculous, messy, steamy second of it. Jesse knows how to make a story that’s impossible to put down, and this one proves it.

My first Omegaverse book and my gosh it was an eye opener!

I haven’t really read much about Alpha's, Omega's or the Omegaverse in general so this book gave me a crash course in it, and boy was it a wild ride.

It's 'heat' heavy - quite literally in Omegaverse terms! There is little plot to it so great for a pallet cleanser type of book to read if you're inbetween books or stuck on what to read and fancy something different.

It follows Lucien (Lucy) an Omega, who plans a trip to his ex boyfriend/turned best friend's, brothers cabin (Branson), with a few friends.

Lucy had muted the group chat (sounds like me!) and hadn't checked his messages before arriving - only to find out the trip was cancelled due to a severe weather warning.
So now he is stuck at the cabin with Branson, the big brute of an Alpha...for over a week while they wait out the snow storm.

Lucien has stuck by the 'i never want to mate' life and there is an option to take a tablet - almost like what women would class as a contraceptive pill - to prevent him from going into heat and attracting Alpha's. The only problem is when he goes to take one...the tin is empty... and the book kind of gets going from there.

He goes into his first ever heat and from the sounds of it is quite something to endure. He is burning up from the inside out and is in a lot of pain, but our beautiful Alpha Branson is there and just does all the right things to help him have a comfortable first heat.
He quite literally tends to his every need - in every sense of the word.

Lucien and Branson's dynamic was really sweet. Lucy not in heat is super sassy but when he went into heat, he needed Branson in every possible form. And boy did our Alpha deliver!

Ok, so here’s the first thing you need to know about Lucien, he doesn’t like talking about or tracking the weather - he hates it, will not do it. Secondly he may be a teeny tiny bit of a Diva but in the best way possible- he does take himself very seriously so there is that - he’s the friend you love immensely and chuckle with. He is also an absolutely adorable rambler when he is nervous… adorable!

However some of that may have initially, a tiny bit traumatised Branson 😂 he is also utterly gone and completely charmed by him.. in a very hot fiery way!! Branson is the ultimate Alpha - swoony, so taken, sacrificing, protective and soft hearted. Just perfection. He pairs exceedingly well with the fire cracker with a sometimes British accent that is Lucy.

So needless to say.. This book is hot, very very hot, so so hot with all the heat sex bonding sex, sex sex, kinky sex.. you name it it’s there and it comes with a massive helping along all these sweet emotions, falling kicking and screaming into love, and unrequited flame being returned and all the good stuff. But it’s also very very funny, Lucy is such an adorably funny character and no one writes cheeky humour quite like Jesse.. the tushy cushy killed me 😂😂😂

I personally think I need Jensen’s story - I think I need to know who the old pervert is And I need more of the bad bitches.

I think Jesse H Reigns phenomenal writing style of tongue in cheek humour , heightened swoon and emotions and hot hot men with slightly kinky dynamics lends itself beautifully to this sub genre I hope she gives us more.

oh also I have to tell you there are lovely new unique takes on the omegaverse lore which I thoroughly loved so look out for those too.

Ex turned best friends older brother

The book starts off with Lucian headed to the cottage for a weekend getaway with his best friends. He is the only one who arrives with Branson (His ex boyfriend turned best friend’s older alpha brother). He missed the texts that said the trip was cancelled due to a snow storm which ends up snowing them in for over a week.
Lucian has been adamant that he doesn’t want a mate, doesn’t want an alpha, doesn’t plan to ever have a heat. And so far has never dated or even slept with an alpha. However he forgets his suppression meds and goes into a heat where Branson has to help him thru it.

I did not feel their connection at first. The first 80% of the book is their time during Lucy’s heat. And if you have ever read omegaverse, it’s pretty sex centered. The last 20%, you learn more about them but by that point, they pretty much had to be with each other. They tip toe around each other most of the book because they’ve never really spent time alone.

Branson is a very sweet and protective alpha. Branson admits to having always been attracted to Lucy. I loved his nicknames for Lucian. He just wanted to take care of him. He was willing to take the blame for what happened and only wanted to make Lucy happy. 😭

Lucian is very witty and independent. It scared him to have an alpha mate until he starts to trust in Branson.

I love Jesse’s writing. I was excited for an omegaverse book by her. I wish that we could’ve had more of them before the heat started but their personalities are so well suited for each other. It was hard to get over the fact that Lucian was so against anything alpha related.

JESSE.

Okay, okay. I get that this book was Jesse's way of dealing with "*gestures wildly at everything*" and my god do I agree, but... BUT HOW DARE YOU GIVE US THESE TWO AND NOT HAVE 400 BOOKS ALREADY WRITTEN!?

I absolutely love Jesse's work so when I saw that she had written another omegaverse? The way I ZOOMED to read this gloriousness!

Lucy (Lucien) and Branson were absolutely amazing, and I ADORED these two so much. I knew from the few chapters we got of one character, that there was massive pining and I'm so glad I was right! We also see that it's not completely one sided though which thrilled me. The ending had me CACKLING. "IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!? *I* did the thing!?" Seeing Branson go absolutely feral and then the most pampering alpha of all time was so lovely to experience, and Lucien definitely needed to be shown how much someone could love him.

The flashes of light were so interesting too! "The last thing I want is for Branson to think he's mated a habitual liar on top of everything else."

I feel like book two will be heading into a certain direction and I'm so glad if I'm right as I felt like the breakup wasn't as cordial as we were led to believe and I think a friend might have been harboring feelings as the anger over their bonding was a bit extreme. WE SHALL SEE.

ALSO, I NEED THAT EXTRA ✊🏻SCENE

I was excited to read this one. This is has to be only my 4th Omgeaverse book i have read and my second one by Jesse.

This MM omegaverse romance story is about Lucien and Branson.

Lucy (Lucien) is a little chaotic and after muting his friends group chat about their weekend away and rushing to get ready to make the trip on time, he has missed and few key details and essential items that leads him to being alone and stranded about to come into heat at the cabin during a winter snowstorm with his ex boyfriend's brother Branson.

I loved Lucy he is so sassy and straight to the point says what’s on his mind and knows what he wants. Who doesn’t love a sassy omega that makes you laugh and smile all the way through.

Branson is a gentle giant / sweetheart of an alpha who secretly already liked Lucy and had no issues with helping when he was in need. He knew how to take care of him when his heat hit. He is his omega.

Lucy and Branson find themselves in a less than ideal situation that changes their lives forever, they find love and acceptance in one another.

This one is a low angst and high heat book. I enjoyed this one and can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has to come.

I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.

Wow. This book was so much fun. And addicting! I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. Lucien is a delight. He's pretty particular and perhaps a tad dramatic. He's hilarious and fairly delusional, too. Branson is precious. He's the strong, silent type, but he's also so protective and possessive. He's generous and thoughtful and a great caretaker. I love them both so much.

The story itself is great, too. There's a lot of spice, which does get a little bit long for a second there, but honestly it's all so different it works. I love the omegaverse elements, which are done so well. I think Jesse does a good job explaining things via context clues that even an Omegaverse newbie would understand what was happening. The forced proximity is a delight and I love how connected these two are. It's clear they're meant to be together.

While most of this happens in the cabin, which I love, I also really enjoyed their time adjusting to city life afterward as well. Overall, I just had so much fun. I was cracking up. I was tearing up. I was literally swooning. This was perfection.

Notes: 3/5 spice levels, omegaverse, heat, rut, ex boyfriend's brother, best friend's brother, alpha/omega, forced proximity, snow storm

What to expect

Omegaverse
MM romance
Forced proximity
Omega x alpha
Opposites attract
Omega heat
Acts of service
Alpha fell first
Always you
HEA

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a palette cleanser in the best way. I love Jesse’s writing style, it always captures my attention.
Lucien (Lucy) and Branson have never spent much time together and they seem to be poler opposites. That all changes when they end up snowed in together at Branson’s cabin and Lucien forgets his heat suppressants. Lucien has never went into heat before and it is a wild ride to say the least! Branson is there every step of the way to try and support him while also hiding his true feelings. Lucien is hilarious and over the top while Branson is a calm and steady presence.
The aftermath of when Lucien’s heat is over takes a toll on Branson but he still puts Lucien first. Lucien on the other hand is in a spiral and can only think of his needs. I liked the flashbacks Lucien has of different moments throughout his heat. Especially the last one when he realises what actually happened.

I look forward to reading more about this world. I highly recommend reading this book.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Rating: 4/5⭐
Spice: 5/5🌶️

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧:
❄️Non-Shifter MM Omegaverse
🔥Surprise Heat
❄️Forced proximity (snowed in together)
🔥Ex-boyfriend-turned-Bestie’s Older Brother
❄️Knotting and caretaking
🔥Size difference

It’s a Jesse H. Reign book, so, of course, the writing was superb. Anything I’ve read by this author has had emotional depth and she somehow manages that even in what is basically erotica.

This book is all heat (pun intended) and an itty bitty tiny bit of plot. Despite the high level of spice, it’s not repetitive enough to get boring, which is a feat in and of itself.

The dynamic between Lucien and Branson was sweet. I loved how caring an alpha Branson was and how Lucy had zero filter. These opposites sure did attract: they really were the missing pieces to the other’s puzzles.

Although I wished for a bit more plot because the characters were interesting to read, this story served its purpose: it allowed my brain a break from all the persisting horrors of the real world, even if only for a short while. And that’s pretty much worth gold in this current climate.

**I received an ARC and this is my honest review.**

4.5 ⭐️ Now this was an omegaverse that I could not put down! It had all the elements that I crave when reading anything that regards alphas, omegas, heat, mates, the whole package! We follow Lucien, an omega workaholic that loves being single and is very much comfortable with working and having weekend getaways with his friends. But when an unexpected snow storm traps him at a cabin with the brooding alpha brother of his best friend, things take a 180 to say the least.

I had such a fun, steamy, and just great time with the first omegaverse story by Jesse H. Reign. I really hope we'll get more in the future, as I thought this was a great take on the genere! They made it their own, while still including all the cute and fun details that I love in an omegaverse story.

So if you love intimidation alphas, feisty omegas, heats, scenting, nests, mates, and everything fun that is omegaverse, you'll love this story!

A big thank you to the author and their team for allowing me to read an arc of this great story!
