Desserts, matchmaking, and sabotage. Who knew business meetings could be so exciting?
It’s time for Cynthia’s newest challenge—brokering a deal with werewolves and alchemists. With cooking golems becoming practical, Xavi’s family insists on being involved with their many opinions. Including not wanting sorcerers or werewolves to benefit from an alchemist creation.
With multiple races involved, what better place to discuss the golem than The Red Alder hotel for supernaturals? Except not everyone there seems to have the same agenda as Cynthia. Cordelia decides this an excellent opportunity to arrange dates between Cynthia and her marriage candidates, Xavi’s family refuses to listen to reason about anything, and someone at the meeting seems determined to make things go wrong.
But what are sorcerers if not resourceful? Except her marriage candidates are actually encouraging Cordelia’s plan. Potentially because of all the time Cynthia’s been spending with Jayden telling him her plans for the future, now that he wants to be involved in government. And when Jayden can’t hide his hurt seeing her with the others . . . just how is she supposed to feel?
Absolutely loving this series! Well done on all aspects! I love that Marie writes on her passions and that strengthens the plot line. Off to read book three!
I am honestly loving this trilogy so much. Cynthia is so stinking level-headed, and I love Jayden for her. They’re going to be so amazing.
I love that the answer to every problem…is love, respect, and communication. It’s just such a cozy book. I can’t wait to see how the trilogy ends! Every trilogy gets the respective races just a little closer to achieving unity, and I love watching it happen through the young men and women of the respective races.
