Cupid's Arrow

Rate this book
Valentine’s Day is a business opportunity and love is a liability.

I run the most exclusive dating company in the country—I don’t fall for polished profiles or carefully chosen words.

I’m focused and firmly in control.

Then she walks into my office.

Sunshine. Confidence. Trouble.

The kind of woman who doesn’t try to impress me—and somehow wrecks my concentration anyway.

Every meeting knocks me off balance. Every smile dares me to forget my own rules.

And the day she ends up in my lap for a photo shoot?

That nearly finishes me.

I know better than to want my own employee like this.

But Valentine’s promotions turn into late nights, fake romance turns into something real, and suddenly I’m the one losing control.

The more I fight it, the harder it hits.

Cupid didn’t just graze me.

He struck dead center.

And the woman standing across from me?

She’s lining up her final shot—straight at my heart.

Ina Lavin is the executive assistant to Dane Kavanagh, CEO of Cupid’s Arrow matchmaking service, but due to a series of mishaps, she is also now the company’s commercial star for the Valentine’s Day ad campaign, during which rehearsal the electricity between them is obvious to all. And when they complete the actual shoot, the entire crew explodes with applause because they have witnessed such phenomenal chemistry. In fact, it is so good that the marketing team decides to create a fake slow leak about a relationship between them. Only it doesn’t take much time for the fakeness to disappear and the truth of their real feelings to take over. But the company’s strict dating conflict of interest rule rears its ugly head and threatens not only their relationship but the business itself.

The dynamic duo of Ali and Weston Parker has done it again! Just in time for Valentine’s Day, they compose a delicious romance filled with enchanting phrases like, “the only color in my black and white world,” “the difference between being alive and living,” “and nothing else matters when you’re in the room.” Ooh la la, it doesn’t get any better than this!

I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Ina is new to NYC, she works at an app that dose matchmaking. She is the Assistant to the CEO Dane. They are lining up a new ad campaign the model doesn’t she up so the throw Ina into it. She has to act with her boss but when they touch sparks fly and they both feel it. They also have to make public appearances so the paparazzi can photo them, they go to dinners at fancy dinners Ina is freaked out she’s a small town girl from Wyoming, but the talking flows they laugh and Dane isn’t as stiff as everyone said he was. But he opens up to her they talk about things they’d never told anyone else. They go skating in the snow. She gets sick he takes her soup. They are more like a real couple. Dane doesn’t know what’s happening, he’s never loved anyone before and Ina is looking for magic. Dane goes to a fundraiser Ina shows up and he is awe struck. They end up walking in the snow to he’s apt. They spend the night together as she tells him she’s feeling things he said he was to. They have a beautiful night and morning. Kevin is jealous of Dane is out to cause trouble, he sees how Dane is he knows he feels more. He threatens to go to the board that he’s sleeping with his Assistant. Dane goes to HR and they work it out they gave Ina a new job so they could carry on their relationship.

Ali and Weston Parker are 2 of my all time FAVORITE authors individually. But when they collaborate on a book then OMG! You know you are in for a read of absolute hotness, angst, drama, betrayal and more steamy hotness!!! Dane is the CEO of Cupids Arrow, a very successful dating app and has recently been named as New York's most eligible bachelor and Ina has just moved to New York to be his Executive Assistant. Dane does not believe in love for himself and Ina moved to NY so she could find true love and get married.
The chemistry between the two of them is evident from the moment they first meet but neither of them will act on it in any way. Until Ina fills in for a model in a preshoot for an ad with Cupids Arrow with Dane. The chemistry is evident to all who are witnessing the shooting and the marketing team want Ina as the permanent replacement. And they're off!!! You will be drawn in, hook, line and sinker and will not be able to do or concentrate on anything else until you find out how this book ends!! It is a must read if you love a romance that has you feeling the exact emotions of the players in the book! I would give this 10 stars!!!!

Cupid’s Arrow was a charming, feel-good romance that delivered exactly what I wanted and more. The workplace setting, paired with a fake-relationship twist, made for a fun and engaging read, but it was the emotional connection that truly hooked me.

Ina is smart, capable, and easy to root for, while Dane brings depth beyond the typical CEO persona. Their chemistry felt natural from the start, and watching their relationship shift from “for show” to undeniably real was both satisfying and swoon-worthy. The tension created by company rules added just the right amount of conflict without overwhelming the romance.

Ali and Weston Parker strike a lovely balance between lighthearted moments and genuine emotion, making this a perfect read for Valentine’s Day—or anytime you’re in the mood for a sweet, uplifting love story. Highly recommended for fans of workplace romance and fake-dating tropes.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

Another great romantic novel from the Parker's. Ina and Dane are opposites in every way. She's friendly, a ray of sunshine who sees the best in everyone, while he's Mr. Grump. He doesn't believe in love, yet he founded one of the most successful matchmaking services. A roller coaster of emotions that will have your head spinning at times. Their chemistry was off the charts and caused problems during their fake relationship. No shortage of drama or angst with a toxic employee, a life long friend's betrayal, an anxious board of directors, an intense marketing promotion and more. It won't take you long to pull for Ina and Dane and for his emotional walls to fall. Best friends to the rescue and eventually an HEA. A wonderful story that you'll love. I received a free arc via the author's team and I voluntarily chose to write a review.

Dane & Ina take you on a delightful, humorous rollercoaster ride of emotions, their chemistry is off the charts, will they end up getting a HEA you absolutely don't want to miss reading Weston & Ali Parker never disappoint.

Ina has left Wyoming for Mew York for a new job and a chance to find the magic of love! She has landed an executive assistants job at Cupids Arrow an online dating company, her boss is Dane Kavanagh the CEO, a self made billionaire, who started the company and built it up to what it is today. He is known to be a workaholic, a bit grumpy and, despite the company, someone who believes in data and algorithms rather than love itself.
When Dane gets voted New York’s most eligible the marketing department come up with an advertising campaign culminating on Valentines Day, but when a
model booked for the ad is a no show Ina is asked to be her replacement and things develop from there.
A delightful, seasonal story with lots of twists and turns, which I received as an ARC.

Dane and Ina, what can you say, they have an unmistakeable attraction but completely inappropriate.
As CEO of a matchmaking company, Dane should have had more restraint over his dealings executive assistant, which he did for a while, until they needed Ina to fill in on an advert. At that stage I felt Ina’s character was being thrown under the bus through no fault of her own.
I loved her flatmate, she was a true friend and had no qualms about making Dane admit to his feelings.
Overall some very strong characters which gave the story some depth even though Lucas especially came across as fun loving he definitely was on Dane’s side.
An easy to read love story with some passionate encounters.

Ina is hired as Dane’s executive assistant for his dating company. When the two are forced to be models for the company Valentine’s Day ad sparks start to fly. But with Dane being a bachelor who has no use for falling in love. When Ina moved from Wyoming to New York, she wanted to start fresh and find love. Will this couple be it by Cupid’s Arrow?

This book is just in time for Valentines Day and it’s a must read. When the Parker’s team up we know the arrow will hit the bullseye. Wonderfully written with lots of playful banter and steam. I received an arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Wow! So good!
This story was so good that I binge read it one sitting, not wanting to put it down.
I loved a matchmaking story, then add in a fake relationship with two people that have electric chemistry, plus happen to be the boss and his executive assistant AND I was hooked.
So much to love about this story and it was expertly delivered from the amazing group of characters to the excellent storyline.
Dane and Ina were made for each other and stole the show, they were at times messy, unsure of themselves, happy and also perfectly imperfect.
I highly recommended this story.

Dane and Ina, I love the fact that opposites attract. Dane actually falls first I think, from the beginning he can't give her up! This story has supporting characters that are splendid, except Keith. From laughter, love, steam, disappointment, hurt, broken hearts then back together again. This story covers all the entertaining bases so to speak! I'm never ever disappointed in a Parker book! Thank you Ali and Weston you're impressive either together or solo!

This is unusual, Ali and Weston Parker together. It was nice and if you have read enough of these author’s you can pick up the pair. This is a good story. I found myself easily immersed and I read it quickly. I love those reads. The story stars Ina and Dane. He is mecurial and grumpy and she see’s the positive side of everything and everyone. I enjoyed their banter. Dane is the CEO of a dating app company, and Ina is hired as his executive assistant. Due to one thing or another, end up in an ad shoot for the company together and their attempts to ignore each other no longer work.

I love when Ali and Weston team up. This was a wonderful read. Quick and just all the feels. Another can't put down read!!

This one starts out with Ina starting work at Cupid's Arrow as the Executive Assistant for the CEO Dane. You can feel their chemistry coming off the page instantly. They try to fight what starts during a marketing campaign to promote the match making business for Valentine's Day. A must read to see how they navigate the ups and downs and obstacles that come up in their path to happy ever after.

Dane owns a dating matchmaker company, but he doesn’t believe in love. He believes in mathematical matches using compatibility and shared interest of people to make a couple. Then he met his new executive assistant Ina. Ina believes in true love and that’s what she was looking for in a relationship. They start a campaign for a fake dating and before you know it they felt so much more for each other. Every love story has some bumps in the road. Will Dane and Ina have a happily ever after? You have to read it to see.

I love Ali's books, I love Weston's books, but both of them together - WOW, what you get is a book you won't want to put down, a book I devoured it in a single sitting. There's a matchmaking plot, a fake relationship, combined with palpable, steamy, undeniable chemistry between Dane and Ina, his executive assistant, and I was enthralled from beginning to end.

The story flows well, is packed with tension, evokes such emotion, and the characters are so well-suited despite trying not to be.

Dane built is business around love, made millions creating the most successful match making platform. But he didn’t believe in his product. Love was for others, not him.

Until his secret Santa delivered him a hot pink mug in the gift exchange. That little splash of color changed his world, introducing him to Ina. His new executive assistant soon became his fake girlfriend, and then his real one.

I love a good fake romance story and how messy things get when the feelings become real. This story certainly didn’t disappoint. I loved Dane and Ina together.

Wonderful Read

Ina moved to NY from Wyoming to find love Dane is a work alcoholic. Ina gets a job as his Executive Assistant. She has his name for the Secret Santa but only has initials and since they haven't met yet she thinks she has a woman. The pink mug with hearts on it side the company is Cupid's Arrows. So when he walks into the party she is dumb struck and still doesn't realize he is the boss. Is funny, romantic and heart breaking but really good read as they find each other with complications. Dane has never been in love so a real challenge and very new. HEA

Cupid's Arrow

Dane and Ina share an immediate chemistry, which becomes complicated because she was just hired as his executive assistant. She thinks he is gorgeous and he thinks she is beautiful. She believes in the magic of love and he definitely does not. They learn to manage their desires until they don't. Then things become interesting. It was a great story with wonderful supporting characters that everyone will love.

A perfect Valentines read! Dane and Ina are just wonderful. Dane is a self made Alpha with Irish roots who doesn’t have time for love until he meets Ina who comes to New York to find her dream. She’s from Wyoming and looking for love. Great character development and smoothly moving plot. Supporting characters are good even the rich so called friend of Dane’s who gets his just dessert! A real light feel good story that I highly recommend.

This was a funny and comical HEA about a CEO of a Dating App company, Dane, and his new secretary, Ina. These two are thrown together through a series of office mishaps and hijinks, and it turns into a warm and touching love story. This was a great story to read at Valentine's day, but it would be good for any time of year!! Well done, Ali!!

I'll be honest I didn't think I would be hooked to a book as much as I was when I read the title. The story is unexpected and so sweet.
Dane is such a prickly pear and Ina is so wholesome, they both get caught in a situation that they both think they can handle, they don't - nearly crushing each other and then the happily ever after...
Fantastic Valentine's Day read

Soon sparks will start flying and our two opposite views on love will start igniting . Captivating, fun story that will warm your heart and make you a believer.

I love Ali’s and Weston’s books individually, but this collaboration was phenomenal! I love how Dane was written. He was really big on data and algorithms. I think I missed where it explained why he didn’t think love existed like Ina saw it. I adored Lucas and Abby. I’m hoping Abby gets her own book because she was a real spitfire. I wished I could give this book more than 5 stars.

Perfect feel good valentine romance read! The Parker’s are phenomenal writers on their own but oh my when they join up on something they sure do deliver. Grumpy/Sunshine, work place romance, fake dating….. we got it all. The steaminess, the banter and oh course him sticking up for her and finally admitting his feelings. Loved it!!!

I love to read the Parker’s holiday series. They do it so well and it’s so enjoyable to read a wonderful HEA at the holidays. This one is fast paced, well written and great romance. Dane finds that he is capable of real, magical love and finds it in Ina who breaks through his built up walls. I hope there is more to come in this series.

Slow burn, then boom!

The story slow burns to explosive combustion! The main female character is cute and naive. The alpha male main character is an incredible butthead, who develops into a a strong and balanced - authentic guy by the end. Nice HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Highly recommend it.
