Justin loves Daniel Madsen but Daniel wants nothing more to do with him than use him as a booty call. Daniel is always the one with control of whatever form of relationship they have. But when Justin finds out a dark secret about Daniel's life, Daniel might have to give up control and see what Justin's all about.

If you're into the fluffier side of life, you have my blessing but will you please take the next exit. For the rest of you depraved pervs, enjoy your stay ;)
Holy shit that was an extreme remarkable story. The writing is absolute top. I love the way its written. Unbelievable and unpredictable good. It's a violent story but not alone, there is unconditional love and dedication. But there are always more sides. No one and nothing is just one thing. My feelings we're going from unbelieve to warmth. From excitement to passive. It's a prove of high competent writing skills!
Despite the solid writing, this was SO not my cuppa. I occasionally enjoy dark romance, but this took dark to a whole other level. Had I read any reviews or the author's bio, I would have known that this is exactly what is expected. But I didn't, so this is entirely on me. And that is why I'm not going to rate it.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.
So, if you 're a fan of the author or if you enjoy this type of stories, you 're probably going to love this. It is very well written and the characters in all their insanity and fucked upness, are incredibly well sketched for this short length. Just not my thing.
I’d like to say you never quite know what you’re going to get when you open a new Kol book, but that wouldn’t be entirely true. There are a few certainties, not the least of which is a deliciously twisted, head spinning tale. Beyond that, I was not real sure what I’d get with this latest offering.
The story is told by Justin, a somewhat down on his luck guy who has it bad for Daniel, the guy who basically uses him for a quickie here and there, when it’s good for him. But Justin has other plans, plans to “woo” Daniel, force him to take notice that there is more that Justin is able to offer him. Even after Justin witnesses Daniel’s other activities, he is not deterred, but only more committed to being with Daniel.
The two carry on in a somewhat Thelma & Louise manner as the story progresses. There is actually a bit of romance, it is about a psycho serial killer and his sidekick, after all. They stick by each other’s side through thick and thin and right to the very end. Circumstances prevent these two from riding off into the proverbial sunset, but I absolutely loved how the ending wrapped up.
This quick read will have you on the edge of your seat and even perhaps rooting for the bad guy in the end. The epilogue was fantastic and was the icing on the cake of this creepy little tale. It’s short, but more than worth the $.99 price tag, and I definitely recommend it if you think it might be your kind of story.
I actually find this quite a hard review to write without giving away the major -WTF aspect of the book. The brilliance of this man is quite astounding, that ability to take a subject matter you hold no affinity to and in your right mind should feel nothing but disgust for yet by the end I was shedding tears. What in God's hell is happening??!! So I'll merely say, if you love Kol's work as I do, if you want another true mindfuck, then this read is for you. As for you Kol, you ingenious bastard, I loved every fucking word!!
Not an ending I have come across in Kol's writes. And for it to be one that deals with my hard limits and yet end up feeling...ok with it? That's Kol for you.
So if you know how the cookie crumbles, you know Kol's writes are not for everybody. This one in particular will have (ending spoiler -->)
ust when you think you have had the darkest Kol Anderson can offer something even darker drops in your lap! This is no fairytale and if you are looking for a happy ending you are in the wrong place.
Kol has once taken something society views as taboo and left us feeling …. god, what has he left us feeling?
Daniel is an aloof Dom that uses Justin when he sees fit. Outside of their infrequent meetings Daniel doesn’t seem to care one way or another how the other man feels. Justin craves Daniel and when he follows him outside a local bar one evening learns his very dark and very dangerous secret.
Justin’s need for Daniel is so strong that the two become entwined in a lifestyle that is wrong in every sense but the thrill and danger from it spurs them on. It is clear from the start that there can be no happy ending in what they are doing but the more they do the more they desire each other.
The ending, even though expected, leaves you feeling a little bereft for the two men. Kol Anderson strikes again and I loved every word!
*** Deeply dark story of control and pain, and misguided feelings. *** A blurring psychopathic nightmare, but we read it, get absorbed and want to see what happens next.
It is shocking and disturbing.
A short terrifying tale that jolts the reader. =============================
Now I can scream, how much I missed you, Kol Spectacular, ambiguous, brilliant, Genial it leaves me upside down and then it resume me with more strength! I need you more. Thank you Kol Welcome back dear <3
This was a very powerful read even though it was so short...A typical Kol Anderson book...Justin loves Daniel a Dom with a secret that Justin finds out pretty soon....Kol makes you fall for his men even when you can see the ending coming.....Thelma and Louise meet Daniel and Justin......Only thing that could have made it better was if it had been longer x
This book was a great surprise. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. I love the author but for some reason this book haven’t caught my attention before. I was looking for something shot to read and this book come to my mind and It was perfect.
None of the main characters was particularly likable. Justin was a bit frustrating and Daniel, well he is just no good. I still liked the story a lot, even without loving the character. I wasn’t that impressed at the beginning and, for a moment, I even consider to stop reading it because I felt like nothing was really going on, but suddenly something did happened and everything change. The pace became faster to a point that I couldn’t read fast enough and the emotions start to show.
I might have start the book without caring much for Daniel and Justin, but then everything just make sense and I just loved how perfect they seem for each other and the love, that I truly believe was there, felt so strong. I felt like my heart was breaking at moments and I just wish the story could be a bit longer so I could enjoy more of them because it was so perfect.
They aren’t the usual romance heroes but I guess I’m not one to read all happy and perfect love stories, do this one work so well for me.
