High Adventure in Tibet: The Life and Labors of Pioneer Missionary Victor Plymire
Few Christians have accepted the challenge to carry the gospel into the mysterious land of Tibet. HIGH ADVENTURE is the story of one man who did — Victor Plymire. As one of the early Assemblies of God missionaries, he is a great example of dedication to the missionary call and the cause of Christ.
Follow Victor Plymire across towering mountains and as he confronts demonic darkness. Experience the spiritual struggle to free men’s souls from centuries-long bondage. Rejoice as tribal chiefs and temple priests hear the story of Jesus.

Who will take their place?
No book have I ever read that reveals a more devoted and committed life to the cause of Christ than that of Victor Plymire. That generation of pioneers is now gone. Who will hear the call of God and take their place to lighten the darkness and show the promise of eternal life to the unreached people groups of this present generation? May those who read this book say, “I will go. Here am I Lord, send me.”

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a missionary bio, and this one was quite enjoyable. The writing quality leaves some to be desired, but overall it’s an interesting account of missionary life in a difficult land.
