In February 2024 he released his debut novel, Prayer in Time of War.
In July 2023 he won the Frome Festival Short Story Competition Local Prize. His short stories have also been long-listed in the Cranked Anvil Short Story Prize 2022 and short-listed in the Wells Festival of Literature Short Story Competition 2022.
In July 2024, he signed a five-book deal with historical fiction specialist Sapere Books to deliver a series of World War II naval thrillers. The first of the series, For Those In Peril, will be published in August 2025.

This wonderful and mighty saga continues. The author is a master at balancing the strategic and tactical details of war, highlighting the men and machines who fight them, and providing a compelling picture of battle that brings alive the noise, smoke, concussions and confusion of the terror of combat. Overlayed atop this backdrop are the deep emotional insights of our characters, not only Rom and Remmie, but many of the friends and loves that they encounter along the way. We are allowed to glimpse the inner thoughts of these characters as they struggle with the evil and losses in this world, as well as the joys it has to offer, but in a way that is real and not overly dramatic.
This was a dark time in the world, but the author does an excellent job showing that even amidst all of the violence and evil of WW2, there is still goodness in this world. By reminding us of the ever-present love provided by the sacred heart of Mary, as well as allowing a brief inference about the future of the young men and women's lives after the war, we are able to see hope and light at the end of it all.
Well done. I look forward to future editions of this story as they are published.
