Razor
Power didn’t make me softer.
It made me dangerous.

More territory. More money. More eyes waiting for me to fail. I learnt fast that survival meant control—emotional distance, locked doors, no attachments.

Then Tristan Hale-Fitzroy came back.

Rich. Beautiful. Irresistible. Still looking at me as if I was something he wanted, not something he should fear. I knew exactly what he’d cost me last time. I wanted him anyway.

This wasn’t a fling anymore.

It was obsession.

We crossed lines I couldn’t uncross—dirty nights blurring into need, desire cutting deeper every time I touched him. I broke my own rules for him.

And in my world, weaknesses don’t go unnoticed.

Tristan
I rebuilt myself on ambition and restraint.
Pupillage. Prestige. A future I’d fought to earn.

Razor Slade was meant to be a mistake I’d survived.

A dangerous man I’d left behind.
But some loves don’t fade. They wait.

He was darker now. More powerful. More possessive. Everything I shouldn’t want, yet the only thing making me feel alive. I told myself I could handle it this time. That I could keep my heart separate from the fire.

I was wrong.

Because desire isn’t safe.

And loving a man like Razor doesn’t just consume you—it corrupts you.

This wasn’t a second chance.
It was a surrender.

Corrupt is Book Two in the Pretty Poison Trilogy—a dark MM romance packed with obsession, forbidden desire, second-chance heat, power imbalance, rich/poor tension, morally grey men, and dangerous devotion.

Whoa, wait! Nooooo! Dammit, I have to wait until the last is released in like, a whole month from now??? Which is better than a year. But still. If you’re thinking reading this series right now, maybe wait until the final installment is published. Fucking cliffhangers.

Because…😫😭😖🥺…is Richie gonna be ok??? Will Tristan going to be prey to Lord Wolfe??? Will Henry get his head out of his ass about Zara? Will our boys get their HEA? SURE DOESN’T FEEL LIKE IT RIGHT NOW, MS WHITE.

Jeeze. Gonna need an angsty but single volume sports romance to recover from that.

I started writing this review when I was about 2/3 of the way through the book because of all the things I was feeling - I didn’t want to forget to write about the feels.

This book was wicked angsty and emotional. That’s my jam. I hated when I had to put it down to do other things and didn’t stop thinking about it while I wasn’t reading it.

The way the author uses their words really sinks into me. Into my belly and my heart and makes my eyes tear up a little. The way Richie and Tristan ache for and need each other is so beautifully written.

And the scene when Razor was at work, on Tyler, the way those words he was thinking hurt my heart 😭 I felt it break.

I’m so glad all three books are out now because I would DIE waiting lol.

A side note about Henry. I mean, what an excellent human. I’m so happy Tristan has him and his impeccable friendship. That they have each other.

Onto the last book now!

….that ending….
I mean I expected the book to end with me throwing my kindle across the room… but GAH!

The air between us pulsed. Hot, sharp, electric. Anger. Want. Possession. All the things I shouldn’t feel for him. The things I felt anyway.

The book picks up 8 months after the first one ends.
The MC have different lives, are at different places within their lives.
And yet they fall back into each other like no time passed at all. Their first scene together was everything!!

The book has a bit of a different tone than the first one. It is much more about how to live and how to survive in a world that tries to put you down constantly. If it’s because of expectations, or making the right choices. It isn’t as… explosive? It is more like a constant burn.

The space between us wasn’t space at all anymore, it was heat and breath and the static charge of two worlds colliding.

Tristan’s storyline really got me in this one. He is basically all alone. He has his best friend, yes. But his family doesn’t see him. They barely acknowledge him. They want to put him in a pretty box with a bow on top and call it a day. Some influential man courts him with his fathers blessings and I just wanted to throw up whenever he came on page.
Isn’t there a saying, something like a golden cage is still a cage? I totally get that now.

I have to be honest regarding Razor’s storyline… I couldn’t follow all the politics regarding running a drug line, following orders, and balancing on what he thinks is right and what is expected of him. But that is a totally me thing, because you have to pay attention there to get every little detail, and due to personal reasons my mind simply isn’t capable of that right now.
I feel a bit bad about it because you can see how much attention and work the author put into that.

The truth sitting in my head was too honest to say out loud. I need you. I don’t know where else to go. The world I live in has finally caught up with me.

I love that we get some tender and just heartwarming scenes in this book. They make the ending so much harder, but they talked, and laughed, and spent time together. They simply existed. Maybe in a bubble, but at least for a little while they were whole.

And whatever it was we were doing shifted into something neither of us were brave enough to name.

I can’t wait for the next book. Thankfully the release dates got pushed forward!

This would break me when it ended. But I still wanted to see if it was worth all that pain.

📕Darkness at its finest

📗smoking hot forbidden romance

📘Made me want to throw my kobo (this is good)

📙visceral, messy, human

Tristan Hale Fitzroy is trying to settle into the silver spoon life he was handed at birth. The problem is that it fits like an uncomfortable costume, and there’s something lurking just outside his world that keeps luring him toward something very different. That something is Razor Slade… Richie.

These two men met in the first book in a strange twist of fate encounter. They caught fire the moment they touched, and now they are both in danger. The problem with finding someone you need like you need to breathe—someone who lives in a completely different world—is how exposing it is… how dangerous.

And if there’s one thing C.F. White does well, it’s dark and dangerous. I’ve been a fan for a long time; I’ll read anything White writes. I think White’s books should be at the top of everyone’s list of MM romance novels.

This series may be her darkest yet. You might think that’s because of the setting: rich boy set up to be a shifty lawyer falls for a drug lieutenant. You’d be wrong. The place where White truly excels is in the dirty, messy, hurtful, and confronting ways her characters are human. By nature, we are dark. We want what we want, and it often gets us into tremendous trouble.

Razor and Tristan are no exception. They know what they want, but they both remain entrenched in their own prisons. For almost a year, these two men have managed to stay apart… but when they come back together, the intensity is life threatening. As they manage to snatch some solitary moments together, they fall into something far more meaningful than they had expected. Together—in tiny, stolen moments—they can be themselves, who they truly are. The problem is that once that time is over, they both return to a vicious world they don’t want to be a part of.

These books have completely sucked me in. I’m so invested in them surviving however it is they can. And the thing is, I always have confidence that White will bring the story to a satisfying conclusion—I just know I’m in for a lot of emotions to get there.

I love C.F. White’s writing because of how emotional it is. It’s visceral, incredibly hot, and it catches me in a grip that is inescapable. Every. Single. Book.

Want dark romance with morally grey characters you’ll adore and want to strangle at the same time? Welcome to C.F. White’s world.

Such a captivating storyline! This book takes place eight months after the end of the first book in this trilogy, and finds Razor and Tristan having tried to forget one another. Both of them have sort of moved on with their lives, each advancing in their careers - one on his way to becoming a defence attorney and the other climbing the criminal ranks. The brief but intense bond they had been forging before going their separate ways comes rushing back with one encounter - the want, the need, the emotions - and they realize the impossible spark of connection they felt before had never left, it was only waiting under the surface, waiting for a chance to solidify into something more.
In this book we discover just how intuitive Tristan is to the true needs of Razor/Richie, understanding him on a deeper level, knowing when he was hurting, and proving just how connected they are.
I really loved the way Razor trusted Tristan enough to show him another part of himself. Razor is tough on the outside, but fractured and vulnerable on the inside. Becoming Razor was inescapable due to certain circumstances and situations, but deep down, he just wanted to be Richie.
These are two vastly different men who had been coerced into the life path they're each on by the circumstances of their birth, but it is one neither of them would have chosen. Tristan managed to tweak his a bit, but Razor can see no way out.
The inner conflict and struggles they have continue in this book, but it also has them realizing just how much they want to be together in some way. Their journey in this book still has ups and downs and doubts, they manage to find some true happiness, but there is also the introduction of someone more powerful, someone determined to get his way and cause even more turmoil. And by the end of this book, the devastation created is heartbreaking!
As with the first book in this trilogy, this book left me wanting more, and so eager to find out what happens next!

I received an ARC, this review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

C.F. White knows how to write trilogies. Corrupt, Book 2 of her Pretty Poison series ramps up the tension and doesn’t let go.
The pining, mixed with obsession and desire, really hurts.
Set eight months after the events of Crave, we find our MCs in different, if questionably better, places.
Razor has power, success, and a safe place for his sister and mother to stay. His circumstances have improved, but that just means he has even more to lose. Especially with a paranoid, vindictive boss. And that’s before he makes a powerful enemy of the man vying for Tristan’s attention.
Tristan has qualified as a barrister and is trying cases in juvenile court. He’s exhausted mentally and physically and can’t think of a credible reason to turn down a dinner invitation with Lord Wolfe, especially not with his ailing father pressuring him to accept.
Of course the dinner is at Razor’s restaurant and he was a not thrilled to see his Tricky with a man he knows all too well is not the noble public servant he pretends to be. Which has him staking a claim that lights a fuse that changes everything.
Their reunion is hot, and despite their best efforts they can’t keep away from each other. Even if it has to be a secret.
I loved how Razor lets Tristan see the parts of him he’s kept hidden from everyone else. His flashes of humanity and decency show he is not the monster he thinks he is. And Tristan’s growth, his new confidence, certainty of his feelings, and determination to do the right thing made me love him even more.
There’s betrayal and things look pretty bleak. Corrupt ends on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see how it all resolves. Honestly, I’m worried about where things stand, but I know C.F. Is going to give these two the epic HEA they deserve.
If you like morally grey men who protect those they love at all costs, sons of privilege doing theIr best to prove they are more than a post code, and angsty, passionate couples who refuse to quit each other even when the odds aren’t in their favor, I can’t recommend these books enough. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

An obsessive, power-driven, and emotionally ruinous journey that plunges deep into the darker corners of desire and vulnerability.

Eight months after the end of Crave, Razor and Tristan have both tried to leave the past behind, carving out separate lives and focusing on their ambitions; Tristan pursuing a future in law while Razor rises through the criminal world.
Yet when fate brings them face to face again, the connection they once shared reignites instantly, all the buried desire and unresolved emotion rushing back to the surface. What they thought was a fleeting, impossible bond reveals itself as something far deeper, never gone, only waiting for the moment it could take hold and become undeniable.

Razor remains an absolutely magnetic character; hard, controlled, and unapologetically dangerous. But, only for Tricky he lets his guard slip, revealing the broken, vulnerable parts of himself he keeps hidden from everyone else, trusting him to read between the lines, to understand what isn’t said, and to recognize when he needs comfort, grounding, and the quiet reassurance only Tristan can give.
Two fundamentally different men, shaped and steered into their respective paths by the circumstances they were born into

What makes this story truly shine is the intensity of their connection. This isn’t just a second chance romance, it’s inevitability. The kind of love that feels doomed, addictive, and impossible to escape. Their dynamic is layered with power imbalance, history, and emotional stakes that make every interaction feel charged. You feel the push and pull, the want versus the cost, the constant edge of self-destruction.
Although Richie and Tristan begin to accept that they want a life together, open and unhidden, the arrival of a far more powerful force, one intent on bending everything to his will, threatens to tear them apart, and by the end, the fallout is nothing short of devastating.

The writing leans fully into the dark themes' obsession, control, and moral ambiguity, without losing the emotional core. It’s raw, immersive, and at times almost suffocating in how deeply it pulls you into their world. The “rich vs. dangerous” tension adds another compelling layer, amplifying both the stakes and the allure.

I eagerly await the resolution of the Corrupt trainwreck and its unraveling in Claim, with hopefully also a solution to the Henry and Zara situation.

Part of the Pretty Poison Series, a dark MM romance set in London’s criminal underworld, and must be read in order:

Illegal cliffhanger, but fantastic read.

No, just no. CF White, how could you do this to us? How could you do this to Razor? Once again, the language is beautiful, how she gets into her character’s brains, roots around and exposes their deepest, darkest secrets for all to see, and recognize in ourselves. It isn’t a pretty book. It doesn’t have rainbows and sunshines and HEAs, not even HFN! But it’s so good, it’s addictive. Razor isn’t clean, he most likely will never be, but you still root for him because you see the desire to be better than before, to improve his circumstances and the circumstances of those around him, and he’s doing it the only way he can, the only way he knows how, and… that changes everything for me. It was a really hard book to read, I stressed so much over it, from page 1! It sucks you in, and doesn’t let you go, and that’s on par for this author (I’m still looking for Aaron’s mother, and she isn’t even in this series!). Amazing job, an incredible read, frustrating because I can’t read the next one yet, but so good! It’s like therapy in written form, but better. It shows the deep, dark underbelly that we all close our eyes to, and hope to never even brush against, and she makes us see the characters for who they are, and lets us love them or hate them, it’s up to us, because we see them as they are, flaws and all. No sob stories, no “poor guy” here, we see Razor, his bad choices, and the consequences, but also the reasons for those choices, and without softening him, makes him more human, more real, more relatable. And Tristan… seeing him fall in love with someone so different from him, someone so “bad for him”, it’s fantastic, and completely understandable. Amazing read, and I just wish the next one was here already!!!!

Could the stakes get any higher? C.F. White continues to weave a twisted and tangled web of corruption and lies in this dark, complex, deeply emotional series. It’s literally life or death for Tristan and Razor as they fight to contain the inconvenient connection growing between them.

The contrast between Tristan & Razor’s beautiful, pure, yet impossible romance and the dirty, gruesome world determined to keep them apart is one of the best things about this series. The game remains the same but the rules have definitely changed, and everything teeters on a knife’s edge. The power, responsibility, and expectations create an inconceivable tension that's intense, dizzying, and delicious, not to mention terrifying, because one wrong move could send it all crashing down.

If I’m honest, the hot-cold push-pull in this one began to wear on me. Tristan and Richie spend quite a bit of time circling their seemingly impossible reality, and I wasn’t sure if I shared their level of patience. But hope’s a funny thing, and it’s what keeps them going, looking for the solitary crack that might mean they can let this thing between them out into the light.

I’ll hand it to C.F. White, with the many cards stacked against them - family, society, money, loyalty - it truly does seem against all odds this will work out. But like I said, hope’s a funny thing, and I’m betting she’s got some tricks up her sleeve that will blow this whole thing wide open. I don’t know what’s next, but I’m dying to find out.

I was so on edge, this one was hard to read. Had to put it down to breathe a few times.

Book 2 in a series is the "fun and games" and "bad guys close in" parts, the two halves of Act 2, and this delivered hardcore.

It was intense. And devastating.

Lose-lose character choices that define them. A circling enemy the reader sees and the MCs don't, for bitter dramatic irony. Secondary characters whose own subplots are heartbreaking (love you, Henry and Zara! Get creative, don't give in!)

I wasn't enjoying it so much as surviving, and the emotional developments were simultaneously uplifting and crushing for all they were going to lose.

Not enough of Keeley (Razor's sister) still, but the thread of Lennon was singing. And Tyler. Oh, Tyler. And Kyan. Collateral damage.

I don't know what was in this for Cormac, Richie/Razor's irredeemable but smooth boss. I can only assume he found out Razor is gay and is tidying house. Why he'd be involved with Wolfe I don't know.

I assume we'll find out in book 3, Claim. Which I will be starting...now.

Disaster ending, but our heroes are very much with each other, even when apart. Drug dealer and defense attorney (the British equivalent, sorry, I am not retaining terms right now) impossible lovers. No HEA in sight. But I know we'll get there. No OM action; OM drama a bit from the gross slimy Lord Wolfe who we know is part of all of this. Blech. I don't even want to know. Stay away from him, Tristan. Far, far away. Or gut him. Take your pick. Still entirely safe for me, TY author. Highly recommended series so far. On to book 3.

I had been avidly awaiting this instalment and was plunged straight back into the tension between Razor and Tristan, with full force. The lingering desire from their past isn’t just rekindled it ignites, pulling both men into dangerous territory they can’t ignore. From the very first encounter, the stakes are emotional as well as physical, making every interaction feel charged.

Razor remains the formidable, guarded man we met before, but Tristan’s presence peels back layers we hadn’t seen. There’s a real tenderness beneath Razor’s power and menace, and watching him trust Tristan enough to let that show adds a surprising emotional depth to all the chaos. Tristan’s intuition and ability to see past Razor’s exterior really anchor the story, making their connection feel inevitable rather than convenient.

The pacing keeps the tension tight, moving between intense, high-stakes moments and intimate, vulnerable ones. The story balances obsession, danger, and passion without ever losing sight of the characters’ growth. New threats loom on the horizon, adding suspense and keeping the reader on edge, while the romance itself continues to evolve naturally.

It’s dark, addictive, and emotionally charged, with a second-chance love that burns hot and feels earned. This isn’t just a story of desire—it’s about two men finding a way to surrender to each other in a world that constantly tries to pull them apart.

Couldn't put this down

After eight months apart, Tristan and Razor's lives connect again in a cruel twist of fate, setting off a chain reaction that will leave you wanting to throw your kindle across the room at that evil cliffhanger.
Both of them are getting on with their lives, with Tristan wading through his pupillage, studying and attending court, and Razor trying to keep Cormac happy, an impossible task. They are each alone, but find comfort, solace and a sense of belonging when they manage to snatch time together.
In this second book, they grow closer and Razor seems more like Richie when he and Tristan are together. They are still on opposite sides of London, geographically and metaphorically, and opposite sides of the law but they're owning their choices and breaking the hearts of every reader while they're at it. So good to read, even as you're holding your breath, waiting for something bad to happen at every turn of the page.
CF's writing is gritty, grimy and completely compelling. It's impossible to leave her characters behind when you have to get on with real life, the pull of their voices whispering that you really need to get back to them right now. Except that odious, slimy Lord Wolfe, who can do one, (UK slang, if you want to look it up) right the eff now.

Corrupt is the second book in this very dark gritty series.
We reconnect with Razor (Rich) and Trickey (Tristan) Razor is still running drug lines for the main boss Cormac but his position has now been elevated and he also manages a private members club and has his own flat and his sister and mother have been moved off their old estate to much better pastures.
Unexpectedly Tristan turns up at the club with a member of the House of Lords, a friend of his father who wants Tristan to use this man’s influence to help his career. Tristan has started training as a barrister giving up his university studies.
Razor seeing ‘his’ Trickey at the club ensures the Lord is removed.
So starts their relationship, but still fraught with the usual problems with Razor still involved with drug selling and the possibility of leaving that life seemingly impossible, Tristan is work all hours in training for his future legal career.
The passion between these two is off the charts and the emotions and depth they feel for each other is so well described.
Another rollercoaster of a story which is gripping and shocking, the ending for me was jaw dropping and I can’t wait for the next book praying for a good outcome for these two characters.
My grateful thanks to the author for the ARC

Tristan and Razor are magnets, inexorably drawn to each other. This book starts 8 months after the first and has to be read in order. While book one was a raging fire of speed action attraction this one is a roiling boil of emotions and layers of story peeling away, unknown intentions and hidden agendas colliding with soft hearts still holding a modicum of humanity and good.

Here we see more of vulnerability behind Razor, we see glimpses of Richie and CF White is exceptional at squeezing your heart with just a few words in the midst of the action and chemistry and criminal lies unfolding!

Razor has made a powerful enemy, he is still under Cormac’s thumb and his allies are very few and far between

In this book, it’s starker the differences between them and the theme of doomed star crossed lovers is even more apparent - like tragedy is waiting around the corner

this is a gritty, morally grey ride full of dark ambitions and high octane life and death games that our protagonists are caught up, while they, despite all precaution fall in love.

All lines are blurred, perfect is a pipe dream and love is something that won’t be denied. If morally grey, obsessive love is what you are looking for, read this series.

A powerful, emotional second installment for the Pretty Poison series that brings Razor and Tristan back together eight months after their painful separation. Both have tried to move on, but one unexpected encounter reignites everything they thought they’d buried. Their connection feels deeper than ever, especially as Tristan proves how instinctively he understands Razor—both the hardened exterior and the vulnerable Richie underneath. The story digs into their inner conflicts, the lives they were pushed into, and the hope they still cling to despite impossible circumstances. The book leans heavily into their internal conflicts: Tristan fighting to stay on the right side of the law, Razor convinced he has no way out of the life he never chose. Their struggles feel raw and real, and even as they find moments of genuine happiness together, the looming threat of a new, more powerful antagonist casts a long shadow. There are tender moments, real growth, and a looming new threat that raises the stakes. The ending is absolutely heartbreaking and sets up the final book with devastating intensity.

This was such a gripping follow-up and definitely needs to be read after book one.

Where the first book was all fast-paced intensity, this one leans more into the emotional side. It’s deeper, darker, and really unpacks Tristan and Razor in a way that made me even more invested in them.

Their connection is still undeniable—no matter how hard they try to stay away, they just keep getting pulled back together. It has that strong “star-crossed” feel, like everything is working against them, but they can’t let go.

I loved seeing more of Razor’s vulnerability and the glimpses of Richie underneath everything. He’s tough on the outside, but there’s so much going on beneath the surface, and Tristan just gets him in a way no one else does.

The stakes feel higher in this one too. More danger, more enemies, and more tension, both emotionally and physically. Everything feels like it’s building toward something big… and that ending definitely leaves you needing the next book.

Dark, gritty, and full of morally grey characters and obsessive love. If that’s your vibe, this series absolutely delivers.

Wow, I just thought that book one was suspenseful! Corrupt picks up several months after Craft and OMG what a wild ride. The things that Razor and Tristan get up to in this story! I am so glad that CF White decided to accelerate the release of the books in this series. We don’t have too long to wait for Claim – it releases on April 24th!

Like the first book, it would be impossible for me to describe all of the different feelings I had while reading this story but I will say that the ending left me stunned. This is book two of a trilogy so there is not HEA or even an HFN at the end of Corrupt but…I trust CF White to finish this trilogy and not leave us hanging. I know that Tristan and Razor will get their hard-won HEA at the end of the next book. I’m pretty sure that Claim is already written and I can’t wait to read it.

Note: this series must be read in order.

Second in trilogy (Pretty Poison). Opposites attract. Forbidden/secret relationship. Cliffhanger. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Picking up months after the first book ends, Razor and Tristan have been living separate lives not seeing each other, until a random encounter once again brings them into each other’s orbit. Both men are slowly gaining ground in their lives, but the risk becomes even higher as Razor continues to seek out Tristan.

The chemistry between Razor and Tristan is still blazing hot, and they each get more glimpses into the weight the other carries. Waiting for the other shoe to drop was painful, I constantly held my breath since there is another book to come. Both Razor and Tristan feel the pull equally, both falling and hoping for something but they can’t see a way forward together, and it is heartwrenching. I’m excited that the author chose to publish this trilogy close in time frame so I don’t have to wait as long to see how this romance ends. Another page turner for sure.

I can’t wait to dive into the next instalment to see what happens and see how Razor and Tristan will finally get their happily ever after. ⁣

Review for (Pretty Poison-2) Corrupt by CF White

Triggers, just a few

Dark Romance
M/M
forbidden desire
obsession
power imbalance
morally grey

I couldn't get this book fast enough after reading the first book in this intriguing series. I was intrigued by these two MCs and needed to know where CF White was taking them, and boy, was I not sorry. I felt so bad for Razor because he was thinking many were waiting for him to fail. I have found I am very intrigued by morally gray MCs in my reading now. CF White just made me feel I was in the story. I love being able to escape into a story, and with how life can be, it was quite needed. Poor Razor has to prove himself; he needs more money and more territory to show all the ones who are waiting for him to fail horribly. I loved the banter between Tristan and Razor. Tristan is beautiful, has money, and he wants Razor, and what he wants he gets. I just couldn't put this book down till the last word. Then I had to find the next one to see where this story of these MCs goes.

Review of ARC from author

"You're not so bad." "I'm poison." He started the engine and glanced at me one last time. "Might be best you remember that"

Eight months after book one - Crave, Tristan and Razor's worlds collide once again. Both know they need to stay away from each other, both know they can't.

Their world's can never combine, their jobs and lifestyles at polar opposites, on either side of the law. Both men trapped in their world's.

A rash decision, set's them on a course to destruction and heartache. Corrupt brings an intensity to this growing and deepening relationship, increasing the desperation to escape their world's. Crave ends with both men in a seemingly hopless position, leading into what promises to be a high stake journey to their promised HEA in book three - Claim

Review:

The second installment of the Pretty Poison series is exactly what I’d hoped for. A fast-paced storyline, deeper insight into the characters, and steamy scenes that’ll make you sweat.
What I liked most about the book is that Richie was given more room and Razor mainly appears in the business part. It’s deeply moving that he can be so vulnerable with Tristan.
I’m so glad that Claim, the third and final part of the series, is coming out in less than a month! I desperately need a HEA for Richie and Tristan.

As if book 1 wasn't intense enough! In this second instalment, set several months after Crave, CF White plunges us into the disparate existences of trainee barrister Tristan and criminal lieutenant Razor in contemporary London as their worlds collide again.
After the events of the first story, Tristan has got his act together and is managing to balance his family's expectations while carving out a career on his own terms. Razor, his criminal counterpart, has the same balancing act, but with far greater risk.
In reigniting their passion, Razor creates a fault line. The more involved he gets with Tristan, the more he reveals of the man he truly is deep down, and that causes him to want to get out of the drug trade for once and all. But at what cost?
Throw in some family crises, some powerful and ruthless men from both sides of the social divide and the tension and risk becomes almost unbearable. I am totally hooked on these two and cannot wait for the next book!

CORRUPT is the second book in the Pretty Poison series. It MUST be read in order to understand completely. This does end on one hell of a cliffhanger but it's so worth it!!

What to expect:
🔥Obsession
🔥Forbidden Desire
🔥Second-Chance Heat
🔥Power Imbalance
🔥Rich/Poor Tension
🔥Morally Grey Men
🔥Dangerous Devotion

Corrupt picks up eight months after the first book ends. Razor and Tristan are trying to move on with their lives. But the want for each other never left either of them. But when they show back up in each others lives no matter how much of bad idea it is they can't stop this time. Tristan is able the break down Richie's wall just a little and see a different side of the man but they are still on two completely different sides of life and not seeing anyway to make it work.

There was so much angst and tension AND that ending...It was everything!! I can't wait for the next one!

I was given a free copy of this book to read and review for GRR

I loved the second instalment of Razor and Tristan’s story. Their growing relationship, amongst raising stakes. makes for a compelling read. And, after that ending, I need the next book now.

Their cages are tightening around both of them, despite their attempts to break free. I love how far Tristan has come in his career and feelings for Razoe, and the glimpse of how their lives could be. I knew Razor’s determination to extract himself wouldn’t go easily, especially with others hovering in the background wanting what they perceive as theirs.

I loved how moving forward comes with increased risk, and the part the supporting characters play in that. I love Tristan and Henry’s friendship. They both deserve who they want in life, rather than what or who is deemed appropriate. Wolfe definitely lives up to his name, and I’m seriously worried about what he has planned.

More please.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
4.5 ⭐️ This book was a Schrödinger book for me. You know, one of those that things can’t go good or bad if you don’t continue. I got to a point in the story where I knew things were gonna change, and couldn’t bear it. So, I put it down for a few days. Then I couldn’t take it any more and had to continue reading to learn what happened. Tristan and Richie had their time in this book, which made me happy for them. Razor was as unpleasant as in book 1, but overall he was better. I am beyond anxious to know what’s going to happen to them. I feel like book 3 is going to break me in ways that will have me sobbing or screaming, or both. Either way, I loved this book and cannot say loud enough that Richie needs to prevail.

This is not a standalone Corrupt picks up right where Crave leaves off, and you definitely need to read book one first.

I was beyond excited to dive into this, and it cost me a few sleepless nights but totally worth it. This series is hands down one of the best I’ve read in a long time. I’m completely hooked.

Razor is dangerous there’s no denying that. But now he’s not just surviving the streets anymore. He’s moved up, with a promotion, a new apartment for himself, his sister, and his mom and a partnership in a restaurant that’s not exactly what it seems (hello, money laundering).

And then there’s Tristan the pure, straight laced attorney who knows Razor is trouble and still can’t stay away.

These two come from completely opposite worlds. It shouldn’t work. But the pull between them is undeniable. How they’re going to get to an HEA? I honestly have no idea.

Review of ARC from GRR.

A wonderful second part of a trilogy. So much answered, and so much left unanswered at the same time, which feels appropriate. Angsty and full of tension, could there ever be a way for Razor to get out of his life of crime? Would he be allowed to? Can Tristan be the man he wants to be and have Richie? Is it even possible?

I love Tristan's relationship with his best friend Henry. Richie has Lennon who is also great but hates his life. Henry accepts Tristan and even Tristan's relationship with Richie, but has his own issues.

Tristan's family is interesting, they love him deep down which really comes through. Richie adores his younger sister, Keeley as well.

I do not like Lord Wolfe. He feels more scum of the earth than pillar of the earth.

I worry about Tristan's father's diagnosis, too.

Corrupted is the second book in the Pretty Poison series.
It picks up eight months after the events of the first book. Tristan is trying to move on with his life without Richie, until they run into each other again and the attraction between them is impossible for either of them to deny.

Richie’s life has changed too, but it hasn’t become any calmer—just more dangerous.

The two deal with the problems they face with their respective families and lives, while they can’t help but return to each other’s arms.

It ends on a sort of cliffhanger, leaving us wanting more.

It’s a really good series; it’s very well written, and the characters are charismatic.

I’m looking forward to the third and final book in the series. I need them to get their happy ending.
