⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ARC Review — Wrath of the Wild Hunt by A.A. Gordon

First, thank you so much to A.A. Gordon for the ARC — I am both incredibly grateful and emotionally wrecked.

This book was HOLY SHIT amazing. An absolute emotional rollercoaster that left me distraught, obsessed, and desperate for the next book.

I went from being unsure about Orion, Riordan, and Amira in book two to completely falling for them in this installment. Orion especially has my heart — the emotional character development here was incredible. Meanwhile, Nuala and Rian continue to intrigue (and slightly terrify) me. I still can’t decide whose side I’m on — and I love that.

Ornella’s grief while missing Sage was gut-wrenching, and their reunion was everything I needed and more. The tension between characters, shifting loyalties, and emotional stakes had me completely invested. Tears were absolutely shed while reading this.

And that ending…
YOU’RE JOKING, RIGHT?
I genuinely sat there stunned after finishing. I need the next book immediately.

A.A. Gordon delivered higher stakes, deeper character development, and nonstop emotional punches. This book hurt me in the best way possible — and I loved every second of it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An unforgettable, emotional, and addictive installment in this series.

*Warning* This book will leave you in shambles, but in the BEST WAY. Holy crud, this series is amazing! I think I went through every emotion possible while reading this book. I got completely lost in the characters and the journey each one is on. Each book in the series pulls back a new layer of depth to this incredible world. Every fantasy book lover needs to read this series immediately!!

Thank you A.A. Gordon for selecting me for the ARC team on this book! It’s been an unbelievable ride so far and I can’t wait for the adventure to continue.

LECTURA ARC

ARC REVIEW

I don't know why I had it in my head that this series was a trilogy!!!! And I just realized there's still 1 book left. And finding this out just makes me even more excited.

I loved this third book. There was so much tension, so many fights. Honestly, thousands of scenarios ran through my head and I was really surprised by what was happening in the book.

I love the characters, the story, everything. Can't wait to read the next book.

I cannot get enough of this series! Once again, I didn’t think I could love this one as much as I loved Books 1 & 2, but this book was phenomenal! A.A. Gordon has a way with weaving words into an unforgettable story, and those words just absolutely destroyed me. 😅

There is so much to love in not only this book, but the series as a whole. Some of my favorites from this book were - touch them and 💀, fated mates, rejected mates, a shadow daddy & a shadow mommy, morally grey MCs, female rage, found family, animal companions, why choose, multiple POVs, powerful FMCs, all the emotional damage, multiple romances, and so much more.

Ornella and the rest of the Wild Hunt are still devastated by the capture of Sage at the end of Book 2. With the help of the other members of the Wild Hunt, she fights her growing heartbreak to do everything she can to get her mate back. Ornella remains as fierce and loyal as ever, and I love her all the more for it.

While her grief from the loss of her mate was gut wrenching, her and Sage’s reunion was everything I was hoping it would be. Their chemistry is everything, and their reunion had them both feeling safe enough to be super vulnerable with each other. It led to a very satisfying claiming. 😏🌶️

Amira, Riordan, and Orion finally figured their bonds out, and I LOVE Orion so much. His character has seen such emotional growth, and it’s incredible to see and feel that through the pages. Plus, the 3 of them together was… 🥵

I’m so intrigued by Nuala and Rian’s bond, and I’m really rooting for Rian to get his shit together. Thank goodness we get his POVs so you can really understand his internal struggles. Otherwise, I’d be ready to throttle him. 😂 he’s carrying so much, and I wish he’d let Nuala help him carry some of that weight. She’s a force to be reckoned with all on her own, and she can absolutely handle it.

The most surprising part of this whole book was my new found love for Ciaran! His relationship with Ornella in this book was absolutely one of my favorite parts of the whole book. He refused to let her disappear into her heartbreak, and they learned to lean on each other through their grief. Their friendship and bond felt so real, and I loved every second of it.

There was so much action throughout this book, and there were multiple moments that kept me on the edge of my seat! That ending though… I still have no words. I felt safe before the last chapter, and that was stupid of me. 🙃 If the ending of Bane of the Wild Hunt gutted you, just be prepared to be destroyed at the end of this one. 🥲

Thank you so much to A.A. Gordon and Rattle the Stars PR for the gifted ARC of this absolute masterpiece! 🍂✨

I genuinely don’t even know how to start this review because I finished Wrath of the Wild Hunt by A.A. Gordon and just… sat there. Completely stunned. Speechless. Thank you so much to the A.A. Gordon for the ARC and the chance to read this early, because WOW.

This book was absolute emotional and mental warfare in the best and most devastating way possible. Every single character is pushed to their breaking point, and you feel all of it. The grief, the rage, the guilt, the desperation, it is relentless and beautifully done.

Orion… listen. I need to have a conversation with my past self because I was a full-on Orion HATER in book two. And now he completely stole my heart. The way he let his walls down and allowed Riordan and Amira in showed such a raw, vulnerable side of him that I did not expect. And those scenes between the three of them??? 👀🥵 I am just saying, I was absolutely panting. The tension, the emotion, the connection, it was everything.

Ornella has always been my favorite FMC, but this book solidified her as one of my all-time favorites. Her heartbreak for Sage was so palpable it physically hurt to read, but what made it even more powerful was that she kept going. She showed up for others even when she was drowning. Watching her fight her instincts to lash out and isolate herself, and instead lean into Sage’s unwavering love as a guide for how to express her emotions, it was such a beautiful arc.

And her friendship with Ciaran?? One of my favorite parts of this book. The way they leaned on each other through their grief, how he refused to let her disappear into it, he quite literally pulled her back to life. That bond felt so real and so earned.

Sage… I can’t even go there. Nothing I write will ever do justice to how much I love him. He is perfection. End of discussion. If I say anything more, I will cry.

We also get a deeper look into Rian, and his internal struggles absolutely wrecked me. He is trying to carry the weight of everything, being the pillar of the Wild Hunt, dealing with constant criticism, and still pushing away the one person who could bring him peace. Watching him battle himself while denying his own happiness was just brutal.

And that ending??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I didn’t think it was possible to feel worse than I did after Bane of the Wild Hunt, but here we are. My heart was ripped straight out of my chest. And there is a certain griffin that I am VERY FUCKING MAD AT. That is all I am going to say before I spiral into rage.

Just read the book. Seriously. You will not regret it.

Wrath of the Wild Hunt Arc Review:

I started reading this directly after fuming about the ending to Bane, and I couldn’t put it down! The Hunt is holding each other up through a big loss, and you can feel Ornella’s anger, loss, and hope for Sage. This book emphasizes the importance of unity, and brother/sisterhood. Whether you are angry at one particular side, you can still appreciate their growth. My inner dialogue kept saying, “one problem at a time”, you’re constantly at the edge of your seat trying to figure out what will happen next.

Ornella brings feminine rage to a whole new level. The message she sent Riordan can only be described as wicked brilliance. Her anger only shows how much she truly loves her anam, every tear shed breaks my heart, but each reader will have no doubts she is genuinely in love with Sage. She also opens herself up to her new family and friends, showing new emotions and accepting their love and support.

This book really brought found family to life. The way Carrick cares for Ornella, and constantly reminds her she is family warms my heart. The way Rian has embraced and accepted Ornella was a huge moment for this book. I would like to mention a favorite new duo; Ciaran and Nell. They still bicker back and forth but I love their dynamic, and how much Ciaran pushes Nell to get up every day. The Hunt brings to life; revenge, retribution, and redemption.

Even if you aren’t a fan of actions from some of the characters *cough cough Riordan*, I love that Gordon brings different aspects to each side that make you see the value of each character. The relationships are all different but each one is unique and beautiful. Sage and Nell are still my favorite couple, but I love the slow and deep affection Rian and Nuala share. The throuple of Amira, Riordan, and Orion was worth the wait! Each couple has the perfect tension, build up, and mutual affection that never feels forced or rushed.

With betrayals, secrets revealed, and revenge enacted, this book will leave you with the biggest hangover, and unfortunately the cure will be book 4. Each book Gordon outdoes herself, but this one sets itself apart as the best book of the series. I can also admit it is one of my favorite reads of the year. The ending has destroyed me, but Gordon fantastically creates heart pounding cliff hangers that I endlessly crave. As always; thank you A A Gordon for letting me arc read, I hope to continually support your works.

Wrath of the Wild honestly felt like the point where this series fully embraced the chaos, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Everything in this book feels bigger emotionally—the tension, the danger, the relationships, the consequences. By this point, the characters are carrying so much history and emotional damage that even the quieter scenes feel loaded. There’s constantly this feeling that one wrong move could destroy everything.

One thing I really liked is that the romance still keeps that messy, addictive push-and-pull dynamic instead of suddenly becoming soft and perfect. The relationship tension is very much:

* “I would burn the world for you” energy
* reluctant trust
* emotionally repressed yearning
* dangerous loyalty
* touch-her-and-die vibes mixed with “you might actually ruin me”

And honestly? That combination worked for me because the emotional tension never disappears just because feelings are involved. If anything, it gets worse.

The fantasy side also felt stronger here. The Wild Hunt mythology, the darker atmosphere, the shifting alliances, the constant feeling of looming violence—it all gave the story this intense edge that kept me hooked. This series really thrives when it leans into morally grey decisions and characters being forced into impossible situations.

I also appreciated that the book didn’t try to make everything neat or easy emotionally. Characters make mistakes, emotions stay complicated, and actions actually have consequences, which made the stakes feel real.

If you love:

* dark fantasy romance
* morally grey characters
* slow-burn tension that keeps escalating
* emotionally messy relationships
* powerful magical politics
* dangerous devotion and loyalty

then this series honestly delivers that vibe really well.

Overall, Wrath of the Wild felt intense, dramatic, emotionally chaotic, and completely bingeable. Definitely one of those books where you finish a chapter thinking “okay, surely things calm down now” and the answer is absolutely not.

I thought I was going to get a break from the emotional rollercoaster that A.A. Gordon has me on with this series but I was seriously mistaken... I fear that I am stuck on this ride. I am so emotionally distraught that I just sat here and stared at my wall in disbelief at that ending.

I am obsessed with this series and desperately need the next book. Right. Now. I can't be left like this.

The weaving of the different POVs that we get, I can't get over it. I want to be angry at one group but I know I can't because I can see all sides of it all. I absolutely loved getting to see Orion, Riordan, and Amira's bond develop in this book. Orion's character development is top tier.. He has been through so much and just deserves the world. We also get to see more of Nuala and Rian's relationship and I definitely wanted to slap Rian upside the head a few times. Ciaran and Ornella's friendship blossoming? Never knew that was something that I needed.

Another thing that was an emotional rollercoaster was Ornella's grief while she was searching for Sage. She so wanted to revert back to her solitary ways but she had grown so much with Sage that she couldn't and didn't want to be alone but watching her grieve was gut-wrenching.

I literally cried reading the ending. This hurt me and I loved it and I need the next book immediately.

This series has absolutely everything I want from an epic fantasy romance. After the gutwrenching ending of Bane I have been clamoring for this next installment and it did not disappoint.

Heartbreak, betrayal, redemption, absolution, revenge, awakenings, reconnection, love, lust, hurt, comfort...this has it all. With 3 separate romances and 2 main focal areas for the story you would think it would be a lot but the AA does a fantastic job at balancing it all and moving the story forward.

I can't get into specifics without giving spoilers but I will say there is more than one time I yelled at A.A. during my beta read...and I almost threw my kindle across the room at that ending....gahhhhhhh!!!!

Ornella, Amira and Nuala are all so different female characters; each with their own trauma and weaknesses, but they are all such strong characters for all their flaws. And their male counterparts are equally flawed. That is my favourite thing about these books, everyone is messy but everyone is growing to be better together.

Thank you for trusting me with this book A.A. I will cherish this experience forever.

5 STARS!! I am speechless at how this book ended. I knew I needed book 3 as soon as book 2 ended and now I am begging for the fourth book!!

This book really pushed a lot of the characters physically and emotionally. Many had to face their inner fears and insecurities to continue to build a life for themselves and those around them.

I have officially switched sides and I loved BOTH Orion and Ciaran in this book. Ciaran especially!! He embraced Ornella and became a true friend to her despite their bickering.

The continued character development in this series just blows me away. Everyone has gone through so much internal and external trauma and heartache, yet they continue to rely on one another to help get each other through.

Sage and Ornella have my heart! I love their story so much and my girl Ornella is a vicious one and I love her for it! She is definitely one of my top FMC characters.

I know I’m jumping all over the place in this review, but I’m truly just shocked at how this one ended. If I thought the last one was a big cliffhanger, THIS one is even bigger. Get ready y’all!! It’s a doozy!

💭 REVIEW THOUGHTS

This is a God Tier series and I cannot get enough. Point blank, period!

A.A. Gordon has done the most amazing job of building the most lush, beautiful universe in the Heart of the Tithriall series. Each book is better than the last, and this third installment is no exception. I could not put this down once I started!

This book had me rolling through every single emotion, all more potent than the last. The grief and longing had me physically shaking at points. I had fallen in love w/ the characters in the second book, Bane of the Wild Hunt, but now I am so attached to each of them, and after that ending, my heart is a MESS!

The multi-POV writing pulls you so deeply into the hearts and minds of the characters, allowing you to see from every point of view. There is not a single thing in this book that I cannot relate to the world around us, and the way it is written, I dare you to walk through the world and not wonder if perhaps seeing things from other’s perspectives might not just be the answer to everything.

This series has opened my mind and my heart, which was entirely unexpected, and therefore all the more treasured. I absolutely will be reading the next book in this series and will be diving back into this world for a re-read soon, because I never want to leave! I need everyone to pick up this series now, because it is too good to ignore!

I can truly not get enough of this series! I was torn between devouring it in a single sitting and making it last as long as possible! BUT THESE ENDINGS ARE GOING TO KILL ME!

I am wholly invested in these characters and the outcome of their stories. They have come so far, both within themselves and together. Despite all of their trauma, they’ve developed trusting and loving relationships, not only romantically but also with their found families and I love all of the different connections this book highlighted.

A. A Gordon does such an amazing job of balancing so many moving pieces! Sometimes I began to question where it will all tie together, just for her to do it beautifully! Though the story is taking place in multiple POVs and in multiple Courts, it all flows so well and never makes the reader feel overwhelmed or disconnected from the story.

If you haven’t started this series, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Hurry, because I need more people to talk to about it 🤣

✨ Captive of the Wild Hunt & Bane of the Wild Hunt are available now on KU, B&N, and direct from author’s website! The third book, Wrath of the Wild Hunt, will be releasing on May 15th!!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review, and this series just keeps getting better.

Wrath of the Wild Hunt was emotionally intense from start to finish. The stakes continue getting bigger, and every time you think a problem is resolved, another shocking issue appears. The tension in this book never really lets up.

One of the biggest relationship moments I’ve been waiting for FINALLY happened, and the payoff was absolutely worth it. The slow burns continue building, the chemistry is incredible, and the spice felt perfectly on par with the emotional development of the story.

Ciaran was probably the biggest surprise for me in terms of character growth. It’s honestly hard to hate anyone in this series because we spend so much time in different perspectives and understand why everyone acts the way they do.

This book is action-heavy and emotionally devastating in the best way. I completely ate this up and finished it in 2 days.

And that cliffhanger? Absolutely brutal. I need book 4 immediately.

I am devastated by this book. I've been sitting here trying to wrap my head around that ending for awhile now. All I can say is that @authoraagordon is masterful at writing character development and keeps me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I am STILL torn on whose side of war I am on 😅 I loved all the development for every character-- Orion needs the biggest hug and I am OBSESSED with him. Riordan, Orion, and Amira are EVERYTHING and I didn't think I could love a relationship more than Ornella and Sage. Ornella had my heart breaking into a million pieces. Her grief and rage was such an incredible story but also made me feel ALL the things.

This is one of the best fantasy series I've read in a long time. I love how unique the story and magic systems are. The characters are incredible, flawed, and grow so much. Gordon has you questioning yourself and switching sides. I usually hate miscommunication in stories, but miscommunication in a war is TOP TIER. You love both sides SO hard.

Thank you so much A.A Gordon for allowing me to read this ARC.
I am absolutely obsessed with this series. I can't believe I read a 700 page book and was actually sad it was over. A.A Gordon does the best job with her characters and world building. I felt like such a part of the story. I grieved with them, celebrated with them and fell in love along with them.
Orion has become one of my favorites. His trauma and struggles break my heart. I love how Orion, Amira and Riordan's has developed. Those 3 are made for each other. Amira is Orion's place of softness and Riordan is the protection he desperately needed and never got except from his brother

Don't be afraid of the length.
The action will make you not want to put it down.
The romance and spice between the couples will keep you glued to the page.
The twists will keep you guessing.

Bring on the next one!

I love this book. I love this series.

This book picks up where Amira is reading Ornella's letter.

We see conflict, missed communication, character development, and battle of the courts.

There were some parts of the book that seemed repetitive and could have been taken out to pick up the pacing of the book. Overall, though I enjoyed it. However, I am still suspicious of Riordan, Rhea and their mom; and I do not like Shay or Orlaith - they need to stay in their lane.

I cannot wait for Book 4 it's going to be soo good.

So many emotions in this book. I was laughing, crying, giggling, gasping, and raging (especially at the end).

The heartbreak that Ornella dealt with was intense and so well written. The friendship between her and Ciaran that developed was so sweet and heartwarming.

There was a lot of character growth with Orion. With the growing relationship between him, Amira, and Riordan.

By the end I came to really dislike Riordan but I am hoping he redeems himself somehow in book 4.

Not only was this book emotional but there was always something happening. A major event would happen, you would get a short breather, and then BAM something else major would happen.

It ends on a cliffhanger and I need book 4 ASAP!

Let's just say it is after a long time that I found a book series this interesting. Some books have spice, some books have plot and then comes this book. Each of the characters are vividly given their own story without making it lengthy and Ciaran's development was astonishing nonetheless essential. Every page has some or the other thing to look forward for and I am beyond elated that there will be another book after this because I am not yet ready to part with these characters. The fantasy world is different too but in the best way possible. Such a wonderful experience reading this and I am so happy to be a part of the ARC team!

Holy smokes. How unprepared I was to be emotionally devastated like that. The emotional rollercoaster continues and is unrelenting. The attachment I have to each of these characters is insane and I will not apologize for it.

The way A. A. Gordon is able to continue building upon already amazing worlds, characters, plots, etc is absolutely unreal and a huge shout out because this series just blows my mind. To maintain the engagement and connection like that into the third book shows how masterful the craft is.

A must read for fantasy lovers everywhere who enjoy creative world building, strong connections, and gorgeous storytelling.

WOW. I fear I may never emotionally recover from this book. Gordon, you have done it again, my friend. You have wrecked me in the most absurdly frustrating and beautiful way. I cannot explain how much I love this series as a whole, but this book just deepened my love for Heart of the Tithriall even more. The POV changes between courts, keeping me on my mother lovin’ toes , and making me go from hating a character to eating my words and suddenly having so much empathy and understanding for them.. and dare I say… love? ugh the ending was cruel but 1000% I am ready to be wrecked again by book #4. I NEED MORE!

Did i binge this book in 2 days? Absolutely because how can anyone read this instalment and sleep? I am not giving any spoilers but there are characters you will have disliked from previous books who you are now emotionally invested in and love. Theres gut wrenching betrayal. Theres plot and magic and everything about this book is fantastic . Watching the character development throughout this series? Beautiful and emotional. If you are looking for a nee epic romantasy this is my suggestion but the ending? I am not ok and i desperately need book 4-why do you leave us in need like this? Lol

Thank you A. A Gordon and Rattle the Stars PR for the opportunity to read this ARC!

Each book in this series has made me fall more in love with this story, its world and its characters. A.A has a way of making you like even the worst characters lovable. It has the perfect balance of adventure to romance and the best shocking chapter endings. I can't wait to see how this story will wrap up in the next book!

This story intricately weaves three distinct storylines that converge in a dramatic and captivating manner. There is so much dimension to the plot but the author crafts it beautifully. It isn’t just one love story but 3 and I am totally invested. I thoroughly enjoyed this third installment in the Heart of the Tithriall series!

Don’t sleep on this series! I am itching for the 4th book!! Preorder NOW!!

Five stars for this series!!! The way this series has taken me on an emotional roller coaster is something else! This series is definitely a top favorite of 2026! The world building and the unique magic system were top tier! I don’t want to go into too much detail and spoil it, so I’m leaving at this. Thank you so much to Rattlethestarspr and AA Gordon for choosing me to be on the ARC team! Loved every minute of each book, especially this one!

This book is almost 800 pages and epic. The friendships, the politics the world building… this series is a commitment, but worth it!

Sometimes I felt a bit confused by some of the plot but then it was all explained later in the book. And the ending! This is not a trilogy- that was another cliffhanger!

This series has been addictive from book 1. The story building and character development is top notch. It's hard to give a full review be wise i don't want to spoil book 1 and 2...but things are wrapped up nicely by the end. However....I do want more books in this series and I thinks there's story to do that
