"A kiss is no good if it has to be taken." His voice came out rougher than he'd intended. "I would only want a kiss from my wife if it was freely given."

The marriage of convenience story is packed with danger, family, and faith. This is book 9 in the Wagon Train Matches series. It can be read alone but would be much more enjoyable in its place in the series. (The series covers the wagon train’s journey from Independence to the Willamette Valley.) There are overlapping characters and over-arching storylines. I am honestly a little sad to say goodbye to the Spencer and Mason families!

Coop! I have had a soft spot for Coop since the very beginning of the series. I was so excited to read his story, discover his hurts and motivation, and especially see him find his happily ever after. Coop is determined, protective, and struggling. I loved his determination to win Belle’s heart and his desire to be accepted for who he was by his brothers. I loved his patience and gentleness with Belle. I loved his growth and the restoration he finds with God and his family. Belle is brave, scarred, and determined. I loved her growth especially in her trust of Coop. I loved that she saw the good in him and encouraged him. I loved that she took Rachel and Maddie’s words of faith to heart. I loved her journey to knowing she was chosen and beloved. Coop and Belle prove that you can face trials and make bad decisions and still come out better on the other side. They overcome so much and find the truth of family! I loved the threads of truth, of redemption and restoration woven throughout Coop and Belle’s story.

A few more quotes:
"Because the first time I saw her, something shifted. Like the world tilted and suddenly everything made sense. Like I’m meant to be with her.”

"Your brother counts every mistake you make." It wasn't a question. Coop's chest tightened. "Yeah. He does." A pause. Then: "But that doesn't mean everyone does. Some people might just be glad you came back at all."

“She watches you like she can’t quite believe you’re real. She cares about you. Anybody with eyes can see it. Maybe she’s scared of how she feels about you.”

"There was a verse she loved. Made us memorize it." Coop's voice went soft. Almost reverent. "Jesus said, 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.'" The words hung in the quiet darkness. Belle let them settle over her. Into her.

I absolutely loved this marriage of convenience western historical story by Lacy Williams. Everything she writes I just adore. The only ever western historical fiction author I really truly love and enjoy reading. She always captures your heart strings with these books. These stories remind me of watching the westerns on tv at my grandparents house growing up through the years. I loved the redemption and forgiveness story with Belle and Coop. Coop and his siblings have a rough go of it through their lives but they stuck together even when Coop strayed. I loved the reference to the biblical story of The Prodigal son and his brother. Get ready to get your tissues ready for this ending to such a beautiful series.

While I received this book as an ARC, the review below reflects my own thoughts and opinions.

Wow! What an EPIC conclusion to the Wagon Train Matches series. As soon as Belle came into the picture earlier in the series, I couldn't wait to read her and Coop's story. If you are a fan of marriage of convenience, prodigal son, action-packed, and faith-filled stories, you will not want to miss this book!

Coop hasn't had an easy last few months. He's been at odds with his brother, and he desperately misses the close bond the two of them used to have. Yet, he can't see any way to repair the damage between them. An incident from his past has been haunting him. It's led to many sleepless nights and caused him to fall away from his faith. While Coop has a lot he's working through, he still has the desire to help those in need. Especially the young woman who had stolen away in one of the wagons. As he gets to know Belle, he sees past the scars and wounded spirit to a young woman he has grown to care about deeply. When the Wagon Master demands that Belle marry or leave the train, he doesn't hesitate to offer a marriage of convenience. Coop understands that he has to work hard to gain Belle's trust, but he truly believes that the hard work will be worth the sacrifice, regardless of whether or not they go their separate ways once they reach Oregon.

Belle has been on the run after witnessing a horrendous crime. Even on the trail west, danger from her past continues to lurk. After an incident results in injuries among the wagon train members, the Wagon Master forces her to make a choice. Either a marriage of convenience to Coop Spencer or she must strike out on her own. The problem is, Belle doesn't trust Coop, regardless of the kindness he has shown her. She's seen his temper, and she's only known pain from the hands of men. Yet when Coop makes an offer she can't refuse, she finds herself married to a man she hardly knows.

Can Coop earn Belle's trust and keep her safe when danger continues to threaten her life? Will Belle learn that Coop is a man worthy of her trust?

Find out by reading this beautiful, emotional, redemption story. It's a book that is sure to grab your attention from the very first page!

What an emotional roller coaster! These two wounded souls have been through the wringer and show the reader that it's possible to come through trials on the other side and be a better person. I have had a soft spot for Coop through this entire wagon train journey. I knew there was more to his story and felt that if people just gave him a chance, he'd rise to the occasion. I was right. He had so much to give but his past and the lack of faith of so many had beaten him down. However, in this last book in the series, which takes place in the final days of the wagon train's journey, he takes a chance and marries Belle, who is the outcast because she's about to be thrown out of the wagon train unless someone marries her. A bad guy is following her and causing problems for the wagon train so the master feels if she's out of the company, the danger will be gone. Coop takes a chance and marries her because he's felt something for her from the beginning. However, Belle has the temperament of a feral cat! Just because she married Coop, doesn't mean she likes him, trusts him or will even let him get near him! She even sleeps with a knife under her pillow!
Reading these last days of the journey made me realize how I'm not ready to let these characters go! They have become friends to me! I want to see what they do in Oregon Territory and how their lives turn out! This has been a fantastic series, and I have loved every book. This last book has been my favorite. Coop and Belle are complex, emotional characters who overcome so much to turn their lives around and realize what family is all about.

What a finish to the series! Deeply spiritual, Gospel-centered, and romantic .

Though the story begins with a new MoC it is truly the beginning of finding the place to belong and coming back to God. Again, Mrs. Williams makes such a compelling point on how loving and caring God doesn’t ever leave His children but diligently pursuits them and creates beauty from the ashes.

Here we have a chance to finally see a very troubled, very broken youngest brother finding his HEA as he learns to forego his anger, his selfishness, and his pride to first let God back and secondly, to become a solid, safe haven for Belle, a young lady with abused-ridden past. From the beginning of the series Coop’s whole-being was unsettled, far away from God and lost to the family, so if you’re like me, you’ll be happy to finally see resolutions, with the touch of the Prodigal Son’s parable.

However, it’s not only Coop that is reminded of God’s patience and love. Other characters also realize their lack of faith and desire for control which adds to the drama but in turn makes reconciliation sweeter and repentance stronger .

Every secret is exposed, every loose link is tied, every danger dealt with. Add to it a wonderful prose with engaging style and the plot will keep you reading “one more chapter.” The hardest thing now is simply say good-bye to this world of the wagon trail.

Triggers: forced prostitution as the past (alluded), PTSD, violence, kidnapping

I had a privilege to read an advanced copy and absolutely loved it! All opinions expressed are my own. This entire series is simply amazing.

This is the story of Coop and Belle. Coop has been a troubled character from the very beginning. His actions forced his family to abandon their home and join the wagon train. His behavior has created strife and anxiety throughout the journey. Belle is a stowaway with a scandalous past and a dangerous stalker following her. Both of them are miserable, they trust no one, doubt their own worth, and face moral judgment from the rest of the group. All these issues are addressed beautifully, bringing healing to each of them, and making the family a stronger unit, ready to start a new life in the Willamette Valley.
This is the ninth and final book in the Wagon Train Matches series, and it's a fitting end to what has been a wonderful series. I joined the Wagon Train in 2024, at book four, Wild Hearts Haven, went back to read the first three books, and then waited eagerly for each subsequent book's release. The author manages to tie up all the loose ends from previous books, weaving them in to this storyline beautifully.
I recommend reading the free prequel, A Tender Devotion, to better understand how the central characters are related and why they ended up on the wagon train. And I recommend all the books in this series for heartwarming family interactions, sweet romance, and spiritual truth applied to real life. There's also exciting action like crossing dangerous rivers, getting trapped in quicksand, and threatening weather, to name a few of the dangers they faced. The author has created a truly realistic world, and I am grateful for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.

Life has taught Belle that men are only ever interested in one thing, and it's certainly nothing to do with her safety or comfort. But the more she sees of Coop, the more she's forced to wonder whether he may be different. Coop knows he can never measure up and always fails people, but from the moment he first sees Belle, he wants her to be an exception. Between a forced marriage and trying to keep her safe from the villain following her, can he convince her to trust him and prove that marriage doesn't have to be something to be feared?

This drew me in right from the start and held my attention throughout. Belle is coming from a terrible background and has a lot to learn about the way life should be, and Coop has his own struggles. Watching the pair gradually both learn to overcome their pasts and work towards a desire for a future together was heart-warming and inspiring. I particularly loved his patience with her. Not having read the previous book (something I'll need to address!), I didn't feel like I had the full background on Belle and Coop's predicament at the start, but the author did a great job of providing enough information for things to make sense without rehashing the previous story for those who've already read it. It was also good to see more of characters from previous books. All in all, a great read, whether as a standalone or as the end to a wonderful series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

As usual, Lacy Williams does not disappoint. Coop and Belle are both broken, though in different ways and for different reasons. Coop had wrecked his own life, and he knows it. I was little puzzled why he felt so responsible for the mill explosion when he really had nothing to do with it at all. He was sleeping off his drunkeness in one of the outbuildings when it exploded. Merely being on the property does not make him responsible. I loved how gentle he was with Belle; even asking her if it was all right for him to touch her feet when he was helping her ride the horse.
Belle didn't have any choice in how her life went, and she had very good reason to think that men only want one thing, and what they want, they take. I loved how she slowly begins to realize that Coop is not like the other men she's known.
Leo annoyed me for most of the story. He was so bitter, and blamed Coop for everything that went wrong, whether he had anything to do with it or not. He even seemed to blame him for Belle's situation, and when Leo's own harebrained scheme goes sideways and puts Coop and Belle in danger, Leo blames Coop and thinks that if Coop 'only followed orders,' everything would be okay. I wanted to ask him which orders Coop hadn't followed. But then, when Belle hears him complaining about Coop and confronts him, comparing Leo and Coop to the brothers in the parable of the prodigal son, Leo finally wakes up. I loved that he really repents and apologizes to Coop and takes the first steps of rebuilding their relationship.

I received an ARC of this book, but all opinions are my own.

From the first page I was immersed in the story - I felt like I could hear the wagons creaking and smell the campfire smoke. This sweet story is captivating as it tells Coop and Belle's story but also connects all the previous stories and relationships together like a patchwork quilt.

A Long Trail Home is a story I have been waiting for - we have met and struggled with Coop throughout the series but now we get to hear his story and understand the demons he is battling. Belle has not had an easy life and having someone still out to get her leaves her vulnerable and on edge. When she is forced to get married Coop offers to marry her but that doesn't mean she trusts him or will let him close. Together though, they are stronger and can face the danger and pressure around them. I really appreciated the nuggets of biblical truth that were scattered throughout the book and helped guide Coop and Belle in the right direction.

This is the 9th book of the Wagon Train Matches series and while it concludes the series I don't feel ready to let these characters go. It really has been a favourite series for me. I have loved the family drama throughout this book and the series - family is so important and to see them maturing and growing together is super satisfying to read. I totally recommend this book and series to you!

Final book of the series but not one to be missed. Really enjoyed reading it. The H and h agree to a marriage of necessity so that the h can stay in the wagon train to Oregon. She doesn’t want to get married but agrees under two conditions, first the marriage will be annulled in Oregon and second she will receive half of his cattle to start her new life. The H is hopelessly in love and hopes she will change her mind when they get there. They and others in the wagon train go through some trying events on the final leg of their journey. The H is willing to do anything to protect the h and prove his love for her even to potentially giving up his life. He teaches her how to heard cattle as he hides her from the man who is trying to kill her or capture her. When she needs help he is always there for her. After all that happened, including the H killing the man who had been tracking her, she realized that indeed loved the H and that he was a good man and she stands up for him with his family. Thus she started the healing of his relationship with his family. In the end the H, h and his family are healed when they reach Oregon. They and the family get their HEAs. Recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys stories of the west and its settlement. It is filled with tales of their problems and how they met their challenges. It keeps your attention and your interest. Hope you enjoy this book and series as much as I did. Enjoy!

Such a beautiful story of redemption and grace! While I’ve read and loved other series by Lacy Williams, I think this may be the first time I’ve read a book in this particular series. A few times events were mentioned that happened before this book that left me curious if they happened in other books or just off the page. In no way did I feel lost however, as whatever was significant was well explained in the story.

Coop is a prodigal that can’t seem to find his way back despite all his efforts. This doesn’t stop him from loving Belle, a spoked and haunted woman. Together, they learn about trust, real love, and redemption. All throughout the story, events and people point Coop and Belle back to their Heavenly Father and what true love and trust look like.

The characters are deep and multifaceted. Their thoughts and actions were believable and I quickly got lost in the story. I lead a busy life but still managed to read the book in two days. Though with a bit less sleep than perhaps I need. lol. It was totally worth it. I recommend this book to anybody who enjoys historical fiction with a reminder of God’s love for them.

Now I need to go back and read the rest of this series!

This concludes the series, but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. The Spencer and Mason families finally reach Oregon Territory but their lives have been changed forever.

Coop has been on the outside of the circle since before the trip started. The tension with his family was heartbreaking at times. We have seen little pieces of his story throughout the series but here we get all of it. He is hurt, grieving, lonely, and desperate for someone to listen to his heart.

Belle (and I love her real name at the end) has walked a life of hurt, abuse, betrayal, pain, and fear. She wants freedom to life in peace. She didn’t expect Coop to come to mean so much. He changed her perspective on life.

They have their ups and downs, times of doubt and triumph. They face danger from bad men out to take their freedom. But the most exciting thing was when both of them gave control of their lives over to God. That changed them completely.

I enjoyed this novel and this series. A good read with lots of suspense, drama, family, and romance. I received a complimentary copy from the author and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

Long Trail Home is a wonderful conclusion to the Wagon Train Matches series. This is a series that I think really benefits from being read in order to get the full understanding of all that happens on the trail.

Belle and Coop were the underdogs for much of the series and it was nice to see things finally work out for them. Their happiness together was hard fought. I loved how Coop was so patient and kind with Belle, which ended up helping her to see what a good man he was. And any time Belle was in danger, Coop did whatever he had to in order to keep her safe.

It was hard to see how much Leo’s anger had caused a bitterness to grow in him toward his brother, Coop. But it made it all the sweeter when Leo’s eyes were opened to the changes Coop had made in his life as well as Leo finally being open to seeing Coop as someone who God loved deeply.

This story had a very good faith arc as both Belle and Coop learned about how God viewed them and the love he had for them.

Long Trail Home (Wagon Train Matches Book 9) by Lacy Williams is a story long awaited because it is Coop’s and Belle’s story. From the beginning f the is series I have wanted Coop to find the peace hat God can give. The title is fitting because it has been a long trail home for them both. Belle needed to know God’s love and Coop needed to know his forgiveness, unlike Leo who often threw the past up in his face. For much of this story it was not Coop Spencer’s past or his present struggles that bother me but his big brother’s stubborn unforgiveness.

I know that these are just characters in a story, but they have also become book friends and family. With each book, I traveled west to Oregon on the same trail right beside them. A wonderful series by a master writer that took me back in time joining these characters in their successes, trials and struggles along the way. I loved each story in this series but none more than Long Trail Home. I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could.

The exciting, heart-tugging wagon train trek to Oregon has ended, and what a journey it was! I feel like I am leaving old friends as they disembark from the wagon train to make a new start in Oregon. This last story in the saga is my favorite. It features Coop, the Spencer family's prodigal son, who to me is the most intriguing character of the cast. I love how his romantic relationship with Belle, who I also love, develops as they face demons from the past and danger in the present. The spiritual growth both Coop and Belle experience, helping them realize their self-worth, along with the themes of redemption and reconciliation are inspiring and encouraging. This is one of those emotionally rich stories that lingers in your mind after the final page is turned. I highly recommend it and the series. Note: Although this book can easily be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the books of the Wagon Train Matches series in order, which will give you valuable background information and a deeper understanding of the characters.

À turbulent roller coaster of emotions were fought through by Belle before she ever agreed to the marriage of convenience to Coop. She just did not trust men to do what they said they would do. She had not felt safe, since she could remember. Sold into prostitution by the man that was to protect her after her father's death. Coop was the trouble maker of his family. Always managing to do the wrong thing embarrassing the family. He had feelings for Belle from the first moment he saw her, that his world changed after meeting her. He wanted to become a better man. He would marry her, so she could stay with the wagon train and safe. Away from that mad man that was hunting her. The Bible verses were all appropriate and meaningful to the story. The influence of Coop's family belief in God made a major impact in the life of Belle and even Coop. I had not read any or the other books in the series, and I had no problem following this story.

Belle has been hiding among a couple of families on a wagon train headed to OR. She was a saloon girl who witnessed a murder. Sarge has been chasing the wagon train trying to kill her. When she is discovered, the wagon master says she has to marry or leave the train. Coop has been in love with her since he first saw her. Coop was a rebellious teen and is now trying to prove himself to his family. Leo, his oldest brother, thinks he can do no right. The last thing he needs is his brother marrying a "soiled dove" and bringing the threat chasing her onto the wagon train and their family. Coop marries her anyway. Belle is very skiddish. She will talk to the women and the children, but not the men. As she and Coop spend time together, she learns that she can trust him. A very good end to the series. Belle finds "family". Leo realizes that he's the older brother in the prodigal son story. Very good.

Long Trail Home by Lacy Williams is the 9th book in the Wagon Train matches series. This is a well written story that is easy to read and get lost in. I like how this story brings back characters from the previous stories and how it fills in about the Spencer family dynamics. Even though the brothers have their difficulties, they are there to help each other in time of need. But for Coop he feels he is on his own. I like how caring he is and the length he will go to for Belle. Not only does he keep her safe, he offers to marry her and makes a deal to annul the marriage when they get to their new home Belle’s past makes is so she doesn’t trust anyone. The care she gets from the Spencer family helps her to move forward.
This is a nice series to read. It shows of hidden dangers the Wagon Train has to deal with.

This was a really sweet story and a great conclusion to this series. I don’t read many marriage of convenience stories, nor many westerns, but that needs to change! I really enjoyed this!

I really felt for Belle. She’d been through a lot. There was a lot of trauma in her past, to say the least. But I loved seeing her growth, and I loved seeing her learn to trust. I liked Coop a lot. I loved how protective and kind he was to Belle.

This was an exciting read. There were high stakes and danger and a swoony romance, to boot. Even though this is the conclusion to the series, it can still stand alone. Although it would be helpful to start at the beginning to understand the characters and their circumstances a little better. If you’re a fan of faith-filled historical romances, check it out. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

Coop has been likened to the prodigal son in the Bible by his family. He has been trying so hard to win back his older brother Leo’s favor but always seems to fall short.
Belle was sold by her uncle to a brothel at a very young age and treated horrendously. When she escaped she hid within the wagon train heading for Oregon. When she was found out by the wagon master, he ordered her to marry or leave. Coop comes to the rescue but Belle is very distrusting. Their first night together Belle huddles in their tent as far away from Coop as she can get.
I loved getting to know these two and felt their hurts as if they were my own. One of my favorite parts of the story was when Coop gave Belle a puppy. I also wanted to shout hurrah when I learned Belle’s real birth name! So sweet, so fitting. Wagon trains and marriages of convenience are two of my favorite genres and this story supplied me with both.

One of my favorites from this series by far! I have enjoyed every book in this series and this one while bittersweet to read was a wonderful end to this series. Belle is running from a mad man and can’t bring herself to trust anyone. She has never truly felt safe. Coop has made so many mistakes and has too many regrets but he desperately wants to change and be a better man for Belle. Find out what happens in the conclusion to the Wagon Train Matches series with Long Trail Home. This book has clean romance, suspense, danger, and a Christian message that touched my heart more than once through this book. I’ve looked forward to each character’s story and I’m so sad to see this series end. This is truly my favorite series from Lacy Williams.

This book is an amazing ending to the series! I enjoyed getting to know the Spencer family, their wives and the others in the wagon train. This story is mostly about Coop and Belle.

Coop is the prodigal son. He has made many mistakes and squandered his money. In doing this he has lost the trust of his family. Belle is a broken person. Abused for most of her life, she doesn't trust anyone. Their marriage of convenience brings more problems than solutions.

I like how Coop slowly changes and matures throughout the book. He still makes bad choices but when his brother, Leo forgives him, he begins to believe in himself. He also surrenders to God. "The prodigal son had come home. And the Father had run to meet him. Had wrapped him in love and celebration and grace."

This is my voluntary review of a copy I was given.

This is Coop's story. Of course, it is entwined with his siblings' stories. There were so many parts of the story that I loved, both heartrending and heartwarming.

Coop was the one in the family that could never get things right. No matter how hard he tried, his brothers only commented on where he messed up. In this story he's seen and recognized for how much he's grown from being that messed-up kid to the man he is now.

I love how the Spencer family immediately pulls Belle into their protective circle and helps provide for all her needs—safety, social connection, and teaching her necessary skills.
I loved how the characters entwined Bible stories and Bible verses in their conversations, too. “Remember the Bible story about . . . ? Well . . .”

This is a great finale to this Oregon Trail series. Coop's story is one of a black sheep/prodigal son who finds redemption and restoration. He has spent the last several years trying to make amends for a mistake and trying to live up to his older brother's expectations. It was painful at times to watch him struggle to be a better man, and when he agrees to marry a prostitute who escaped from a brothel it causes more problems with his brother. When he and Belle finally realize that God loves them no matter what, they are able to make their way to a hopeful future. The love and support of family is the theme throughout all these books and the love of God is what makes the difference. A great series I would definitely recommend.

I received a copy of this book from the author as an ARC, but this is an honest review.

I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm sad to see this Spencer family saga come to an end in "Long Trail Home." I enjoyed witnessing the characters change over time as they learned more about themselves on the trail which challenged them to their limits.

Coop Spencer is probably the most dynamic character throughout the series along with Belle. She may have joined the wagon train in secret, but she became family along the way.

Coop and Belle pull on the heart strings as each thinks they are unworthy of love and family, but mile by mile, they learn what love really means and what it means to trust someone.

Lacy Williams did an excellent job bringing these stories to life. I wish we could get a peak at what life is like for the Spencers once they settle in Oregon territory.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from the author. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

If you’ve been following along in this series, you will be excited to finally get Belle and Coop’s story. I have not read every book in the series, but enough to know the characters well enough to be able to read the story and enjoy it. Belle was forced into the brothel lifestyle at 14 years old, when she finally found a way to escape, she hid away on a wagon train enroute to Oregon. The drama, challenges and dangers, keep you on the edge of your seat. Coop also had a rough childhood and made bad choices along the way. Losing his two good friends in something he could’ve prevented changed his life and made him want to be a better man. I love the growth in these characters they were both very broken but with good people and trust in God, redemption is real. This was the perfect, beautiful ending to this wagon train series.

Belle has had a rough life and she’s only in her early twenties. She ran away from the brothel she had been sold into by her uncle, when she was only fifteen years old. She had witnessed an incident that made her fear for her life, so, she ran when she got the chance.
Coop, found Belle, hiding in the back of one of the wagons on the trail to Oregon. He was immediately infatuated with her. The rest of the wagon train, was not.
The wagon Master, said she either has to marry someone or leave the wagon train. Coop immediately offered to marry her. She was not wanting anything to do with men. However, she would die if she had to leave the wagon train. When Coop offered a marriage of convenience that would be dissolved once the reached Oregon, Belle, agrees.
This is a great story with great characters.

Christian Historical Romance

What a wonderful ending to this series! Reconciliation, redemption, healing, trust, forgiveness, love, and God calling, guiding His children, despite the evil that surrounds them! Sarge is still on their trail, causing more strife and brokenness in the family and among the wagon train. Coop falling into old habits of acting before thinking and pride ruling his heart, even while he's doing his best for Belle. Leo and Rob are still at odds with Coop, refusing to take any responsibility for their own parts of all the disasters. Again pride ruling them. But God is not gentle in His chastisement and everyone suffers a bit if not a lot as evil seems to rule! The ending scenes are so beautiful!! It's incredible how Lacy writes, it's almost like a few of the Bible's stories! She's definitely using her God given talent!!!

This book is the last in a series. I will have to go back and read the series. I really enjoyed this book a lot. I love how her characters are so realistic. This book evokes the realization we have a bit of some of these characters in ourselves. Some of us may be hurting deeply while some of us may be judgmental towards those hurting. Some of us need to heal from deep trauma and pain while some of us are there to help them heal. I love the faith and forgiveness interwoven into this story. Sometimes we need to forgive ourselves to truly heal. Sometimes we need to realize we need to ask forgiveness to those we wronged and sometimes we need to forgive those who wronged us. I give this book 5 stars and am eager to read the whole series.
