WARNING: ROCK is a no-holds- (or holes-) barred bisexual, polyamorous lust-fest for the senses. It contains GRAPHIC LANGUAGE and EXTREMELY EXPLICIT SEX. This book is not suitable for readers under the age of 18 or anyone expecting a realistic story. A strong stomach, an open mind, and appreciation for over-the-top, egotistical characters are a must. Best read after STRINGS, BEATS, and NOCTURNES.
If you’d asked me to describe myself a couple weeks ago, I’d have told you I’m Letty Fucking Dillinger—The Rock in your cock, the cream in your wet dream, the spunk in your junk.
I had everything a girl could want: A hot rocker boyfriend, fame, a nuclear cooter, a smart phone … The whole damn world at my feet. I worked my ass off to get where I am, and I have no regrets.
But everything changed when she exploded on the scene with the mother of atomic bombs strapped across her chest. She’s beautiful, talented, and holds the key to my future—my life as I know it—in her hands.
I hate her. I fucking hate her. Because she and her merry band of bitches made me do something I’ve never done before. They made me doubt myself.
Calm like an F-bomb*, Kendall Grey writes books about fierce women rockers who have a hard time keeping their clothes on, gender-swapped Norse gods who don't understand modern idioms, middle-aged hemophobic Bloodwitches, and the occasional murderer. Her aliases include K.G. Green (ASK THE BLOOD series), Kendall Day (FALLING FOR MR. SLATER), Seven Slade (COMING OUT), and she is 1/5 of Thor Cox (GRAFFITI CITY series).
Kendall owns Thunderfoot Studio, a small but mighty independent digital art studio. She lives near Athens, Georgia with her dashing geek husband, a one-eyed dachshund that thinks she's a cat, and an incorrigible yet adorable mutt whose ice-blue eyes will steal your heart and hold it for ransom.

What a FUCKTASTIC, oh I mean FANTASTIC and very cleverly written book. I LOVED even dam moment of this read, it was filled with naughty sex and raunchy dirty talk. This book puts the E in the word EROTIC, I kid you not. I have read MANY of Rock star romance and this series to me is the most in your face series that I have EVER READ!
This book revolves around Letty and Shade, these two SCORCHED the pages where sex is concerned. They like to spice it up a bit with some roll playing sex that will have your ereaders just about melting. Beware of Billy Clubs up the ass I say. Letty is a nymphomaniac and squirts like this when she has an orgasm. Shade just laps it all up and goes for more.
This story is not all about the sex. There is a really good story line that grabbed in so many ways. There was heartache, vengeance, redemption, and some of the most humorous scenarios that I have ever read. I have to mention the awesome concerts scenes that took place. The whole time I was reading these scenes, this song kept playing in my mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpJAm... As a matter of fact I envisioned the lead singer of the rock group Halstorm, Lzzy Hale as Letty. As for Shades and all his HOTNESS, this is what I envisioned him looking like.
This is the fourth book in the Hard Rock Harlot series and I LOVED THEM ALL! I HIGHLY recommend this series to all who are not faint of heart, who love a TRULY EROTIC read, are not bothered by IN YOUR FACE SEX SCENES, W/W, M/M, W/M/W/M and one SMOKING HOT ORGY!
The only thing I have left to say is WELL DONE KENDALL GREY, I WANT MORE, SO BRING IT BITCH!
It seems like forever ago when I read the first book in this series and I have to say I think this one's the best yet
At last we get more of Letty and Shades...
SHADES
LETTY
God, I just adore Letty, as fiesty and badass as ever and her mouth has no filter....
"Then I suggest your hand gets busy coaxing the trouser snake from its den.I'm coming for him"
These two actually go on quite a 'journey' in this book, discovering their true feelings and need for each other....but something from Shades past threatens their relationship....
I think I loved Shades even more in this book and he was so patient with Letty...
"If you're gonna settle for anything, then settle for me,pussycat.Let me love you and take care of you_as much as your stubborn ass will_and treat you like the queen you are"
God, the sex scenes are so hot...
And, oh my...The Birthday Club scene...Jinx,Letty,Rax and Toombs in a totally hot 4 way...and Rax and Toombs having some man loving....*gulps*
Now I know it's not Rax' s story but I couldn't resist...this is my image of him...God I love that man!!
Color me impressed. Best of the series! I have to admit there were a few times I was "clutching my pearls." Mainly because I was yelling at Letty to shower before she handled the baby. Eww!! Haha! That girl can make a mess.
Letty is one filthy bitch. I love it! I love her to death and I love her pov best of all. She's all about the rock, she's fiercely protective of the band, she's funny and loud, and she just all around doesn't give a fuck. What's not to love?
The sex scenes were raunchy as always. I especially enjoyed the opening and ending scenes. Letty's and Shades's role play was fantastic. I didn't love the "birthday club" scene as much as I thought I would but I think that's because not everyone could participate. I'm definitely interested in future birthdays though. In fact, I think Grey should write a novella featuring the six different birthday club fantasies.
But beyond the smut this story had grit. Letty grows up quite a bit. From Shades's personal dilemma to bitches trying to ruin Letty's rep to Letty learning tact, it made for a great story. Grey has mad skills with words.
I really, really hope there's more. I especially want to know what's going on with Toombs and Jinx after Love Notes. Bravo!
I read Kendall Grey's ROCK today. Yes. Today. Here's the 5 star review I gave it:
Take everything I've ever said about Kendall Grey's Hard Rock Harlots series and multiply it by 100,000,00. I am not kidding. I read this in one sitting. FANFREAKINGTASTIC! I wish I had more stars to give. I've waited quite a while for Grey to decide to give us more of Killer Buzz Float, and the wait was totally worth it.
We revisit the hot, horny, sexy, sinful rockers of Killer Buzz Float as they are moving up in the music world. On tour now, they encounter... all kinds of stuff. Conflict in several forms comes at our guys and girls, but nothing keeps them down for long.
The thing about these stories is... yes, there's really explicit, nasty, unrestrained, unrealistic sex. It's fun, it's hot, it's silly. But it's not the damned point! While you're reading about rock bands and wild sex and concert tours and ... everything else, Kendall Grey is telling you the truth about things. Truths like:
1. Jealousy just looks bad on you. Besides, you're awesome in your own way. 2. Accidents happen. It's how you step up and own them that counts. 3. Sex and love are not the same thing. They can be, but they don't have to be. 4. Sexism is alive and well, everywhere, and it sucks. But people don't do much to change that. 5. True love might not conquer all, but then again, maybe it does. And if it doesn't, it still makes all the other crap worth it. 6. You should make art, not house payments.
I am not going to go into the plot at all here, except to say it's exciting and fun and wild and the story is just so well done.
What I like about Kendall Grey is that she is willing to say what she thinks, without apology and without fear. If she thinks it, she - or Letty, Jinx, Eve, Rax, Toombs, or Shades - will say it. So many writers today aren't saying the things that need to be said. Writing is supposed to be a revolutionary act, folks; Grey is damned guerrilla fighter, with pen and paper instead of fire arms. Confidence, self-doubt, feminism, equality, loves, sex, morality, responsibility, and the normal growing pains of young adults becoming older adults - it's all addressed in Kendall Grey's blunt, inimitable style.
As always, the language here is ridiculously vulgar and offensive, the sex is wild, freaky, and impractical, the morals are shot to hell, and the emotions are real. The writing is fluid, over the top, and dead on. The thoughts are deep, the fear is palpable, and the ferret is a mean little jerk. All together, these things make up a fantastic book that you've GOT to read.
I recommend reading Strings, Beats, and Nocturnes before you read Rock. I recommend reading Love Notes, too, although you don't really need it to know what's going on here. But, it's still awesome.
"Remember me? Fuck yeah, you will. I'm Letty Motherfucking Dillinger. Don't you ever forget it."
Kendall Grey’s talent for creating the rude, snarky, loudmouthed, sex obsessed Letty is nothing but genius. Writing a book that incorporates some of the wildest, dirtiest, and completely delicious sex scenes while maintaining a love story that is so pure and romantic I nearly cried a few times, just adds to her genius. Add on top of that how she was able to weave social commentary into the story about todays social media and indie artistry without sounding preachy or self-absorbed was beyond pure genius.
As I said before with this series, don’t let the warning labels scare you off or mislead you into thinking these books are just porn on paper. They are so much more than that.
Rock shows the growth of not only the band but more specifically of Letty's character. There is a lot of depth and heart to this story. Letty faces multiple challenges in this book (in her relationship with Shades, her status in the band and her future) and while she retains her characteristic “take no prisoners” Letty personailiaty she also matures which makes the story that much more realistic.
"Right now, I fear the unknown, breathing against the back of my neck, teeth taunting my skin with frightening promises, threatening to claim my last breath. I can't ... I won't ..."
You also get a whole lot more of the other band members, seriously ... you get a WHOLE LOT MORE ... "Birthday Club" will not soon be forgotten.
If you have read and loved each book in the Hard Rock Harlots series like me, than you need to buy this book asap and then thank me later. You will not be disappointed!
Maybe getting knocked on your ass every once in a while is a good thing. Reminds you to appreciate what you have.
OMG!!!! A 5 star isn't even a high enough rating for this book. This by far my most favorite Kendall Grey Hard Rock Harlots book EVAH!!!!!! If you know anything about Kendall Grey, she put her heart and soul into Rock. I saw it in every single chapter, especially the interview and aftermath chapters! Kendall, you truly ROCK!!!! I highly recommend this book. As well as the others in this series, BUT be for warned that this book is NOT for EVERYONE! If you cannot handle deep down and dirty sex and talk and all that shit In between,DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. If you are offended in the least over orgies, sex role play, sex toys, the F bomb, and lots and lots of sex, please do not read this. This book isn't for the faint of heart, ONLY for those that can handle a little, ok A LOT of dirty dirty talk, sex and much much more!!! Kendall, you did us Hard Rock Harlots PROUD!!!!!!!! Love you girl!!!
Kendall doesn't disappoint with her latest addition to the HRH series. Not only is it DIRTY, SQUIRTING, RAUNCHY GOODNESS but it also a wonderful story of personal growth.
Just finished proofing the audiobook of ROCK. You are gonna LOVE IT! The final touches are being applied now, and if all goes well, we should have the audiobook ready to roll in a couple weeks. Stay tuned, and Long Live The Rock!
I’ve always felt that Kendall writes from her soul. She puts everything into her books, and you feel that! When I read about Jinx, I could relate to her in many ways…but after reading ROCK, I can relate to Letty too!!!
At the beginning of the ROCK, my heart broke….I cursed….didn’t think my heart could be put back together. If this book does not take you on an emotional journey, than you’re reading this book wrong. Not only does it take you on a journey, but there are several secret meanings. The only thing I want to say about those is, THANK YOU KENDALL!!!! You nailed it on the head!!!!!!!!!!!!! #MakeArtNotHousePayments
One of the few things that I love about Letty is, she is not afraid to say what she is THINKING! If you don’t like what she has to say, too darn bad! She likes to be screwed, but not screwed OVER! And she will tell you how it is!!!!
Ohh, Shades! *sigh*
And the birthday club! Oh! Em! Gee!!!!! Can’t wait for the next book!!!!!!!! #LongLiveTheRock
Letty scares me, though perhaps a little less than she did before this story. KG allows Letty to be more vulnerable than we've ever seen her and that makes her more endearing. Still lots of raunchy sex and more squirting than is comfortable, but if you are okay with the first three in the series, you'll want to continue with this one.
Kendall Grey has done it again with the steamy hot, jaw dropping, and hard rocking story of KBF. The ups and downs of touring and love and trust between partners and bandmates with a few surprises thrown in the mix. It will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more. Long Live Rock
I have to say that I FLOVE Letty and her foul-mouth!!! Kendall is an amazing and very dirty writer and I absolutely LOVE her for it!!! It was really good to read more of one of my favorite book bands Killer Buzz Float. And I have to say that Letty and Shades were always my favorite couple, so cheers to them and thanks to Kendall for giving more of this series!!!!
Holy shit! Letty is back with a vengeance and I could NOT put this down! Kendall was excellent with the angst and bringing back Letty's badass attitude. Even Jinx's naughty side came out! In an aspect, this book made Strings look tame... and I loved every second of it! I can't wait for book #5!
I loved this book so hard! My new favorite in the series. Same foul mouthed, panty melting, laugh out loud fun we're used to from our favorite rock whores but with a whole lot of real mixed in. Long live The Rock!
This book did not disappoint. It had me laughing so hard. I have been a fan of this series since the beginning. It helps to have a sick sense of humor to read this series. Can't wait for more!
This was my favorite book of the series! It had all of our favorite characters, some newbie bands, LOTS of wicked, filthy sex, back-stabbing, lies, angst... it really did have the whole package.
It was fun to get back into Letty's head and to focus mainly on her and Shades. I appreciated the fact that things weren't perfect for them and that they actually had to work at things to keep their relationship strong. Poor, Shades and his "accident"...
Ok, so I had a big case of sour grapes when the "surprise" popped up for Shades. I didn't like it. Not one bit. I didn't want Letty to feel like she had to accept it to be able to have him. I'm happy she was able to come to grips with it, in case the outcome turned out differently, but what I REALLY felt was relief. Relief that she told Shades to get things done to be certain of the outcome, relief that things turned out the way they did and relief when the tour was over.
Birthday Club... I must say, this made for one of THE hottest scenes. The way they share themselves, the way it's all about pleasure (& maybe a little pain), the way it brings them together, the trust involved... Awesome. Admittedly, I was a bit upset that we didn't make it to Letty's Birthday Club. I wanted to see ALL of the players take part in the action, since one was not able to "fully function" for the first go-around. And to be able to see it all at the directorial hands of Letty... that would have been SWEET!
I'm not sure if there's more in the works for Killer Buzz Float but I'd totally one-click if there was!
#MakeArtNotHousePayments - It's all about The Rock!
Letty and Shades' relationship and their bands success are put to the test in Rock, the 4th in the Hard Rock Harlots series, when a surprise from Todd's past shows up. It seems their new tour will keep this particular Banging Betty smack in Letty's face for a very long time to come. To top it off, Letty's confidence is shaken and her alpha tendancies may be what brings the whole band crashing down.
Now, opening for Banging Betties, a top 10 group, isn't as fortuitous as it should be. Even Jillian's loyalty to the band is in question. She's off trying to get into the pants of Lizzie, who by the way despises Letty and is a total bitch. Talk about a conflict of interest. Everything is going to Hell and it's going to be damn tough to keep focused on The Almighty Rock and staying true to oneself! Bless them Father for they have and will sin. What will be their penance?
I didn't think this series could be improved upon after reading the first three, but the 4th really blew me away! Happy Birthday to me cause' this was quite the GIFT!!!! I'll never think about birthdays without a knowing smile on my face!!
I still can't put all my thoughts into words. Kendall Grey and Letty simply blew me away. While I'm attempting to gather my emotions and all the crazy good Killer Buzz Float feels, I'll just say, this book was personal. Written from the heart. Kendall held nothing back- and really, would we want her to? It had an amazing message for us ALL blended seamlessly among the down and dirty we can't get enough of. It satisfied my hunger for all things KBF and Kendall's colorful and limitless imagination, rattled my cage, forced me to look at my own doubts, fears, and irrational expectations. It gave me a new appreciation for someone I already greatly admired. And ultimately made me a bigger fan.
Honestly, what more could I say? ROCK is a MUST READ for all HRH fans. You may already love Letty, but you've never seen her or the rest of the crew quite like this. #MakeArtNotHousePayments And... Get ROCK'ed.
Damn, Kendall does it again... She knocks it out of the park... I really do NOT read much erotica...BUT I will always read ANYTHING that is written by Kendall Grey...She has an amazing writing style that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Letty and the entire group is BACK!! A couple of lines from the book that stood out to me...
Per Letty: "Well, fuck-a-doodle-doo" and "Then I bend to one knee and smack the hands of a rabid patch of screaming fans bouncing like ball sacs against tight, Friday night pussy." and then Letty realizes..."Maybe getting knocked on your ass every once in a while is a good thing. Reminds you to appreciate what you have."
I Love seeing how Letty matures but NEVER looses herself in this story.
Letty absolutely has the Rock and anyone who says otherwise...well she'd tell them to F-off *grin* This was a fun read and the band definitely lived up to the same level of debauchery I've come to expect, but I think they might have even taken things a step further in this one. Rock also had a serious side though too, and I actually felt bad for Letty. She was let down by not only her band mates, but also by Shades to a degree as well. Lots of things happen in Rock, but I think the best part was Letty showing her vulnerability. It was an overall entertaining read, and I hope that Kendall writes more with these guys. But I do wonder if she can top that group scene though, because that was...well it was freaking crazy to say the least. lol
This took the previous books and completely blew them out of the water, both with the sexual and non-sexual content. Seriously hot and sometimes shocking, but also with several solid plot lines outside of the sexytimes. It's difficult to go into more details without spoilers, but let's just say that it went a different direction than I expected based on the blurb, but the direction it went was great. Color me very impressed (and turned on) by this story. My only gripe was that I wish we'd gotten some of Shades' POV. But being it Letty's head is such a fun, wild ride that I didn't miss it too much. Hopefully we get more from these characters soon!
I'm not sure what to say about this one, as with the previous books the language and characters are totally crude, at times funny. But it was at 75% when I truly started to enjoy this story. Will I read more? I'm not sure at the moment!
I've read all of her books and she doesn't disappoint. It's definitely not for those who are easily offended or turned off by graphic PDA. Got to get me some Shades! Love Letty and especially Toombs! Keep em coming Kendall
I enjoyed this book so much! Its filthy and dirty and depraved as one would expect from KG but it also has a few surprises. If you like a little OTT raunch with a side of heart, give this a whirl. Just remember, Rock is #4 in the series. And yes, book order is important. ;)
I read this book in one sitting!!! Thanks Kendall for another great book!!! I live Letty and Shades!! The sex was awesome as always but I also loved the story!!! I did not want it to end!!!
