She's dead. He's alive. Love was never supposed to find them.

Amrah wants more than shadows and silence. She wants a heartbeat, a family, a life. But on The Other Side, all she has are regrets, anger, and a grandmother who won't let her forget her family's sin. When she meets Colm, a living winged fae, however, every rule between life and death begins to unravel.

Sexy, witty, and bittersweet, Unghosted is a romantasy where even death can't stop true love.

Unghosted completely stole my heart — just like the entire While You Can series.

This book was so cute and fluffy, and I loved finally learning more about Amrah’s story and getting to know her better. She was such a fun character to follow, and I adored every moment with her.

The writing was beautiful, the story flowed so well, and it was such a fun and fast read for me. I truly can’t get enough of these characters and the way they always manage to capture my heart.

Thank you so much to the author, for trusting me with this beautiful ARC. It meant the world to me 🤍

I enjoyed this! I like how the author has woven places that exist in real life (Reunion island and Ireland) with the magic and lore of this series universe. Our world, but ✨️magical✨️.
This story is a tad darker than the previous novella, Untailed, as the story explores heavier themes. Despite that, the author managed to write a romance forward story that had me giggling and a little emotional.

I received an ARC from the author. My opinions are my own.

Another great novella from the While You Can Series that can be read as a standalone. This love story between the ghost of a witch and a winged fae had me giggling so much! It was funny and hot and creative. The FMC was such a mischievous ghost, and the MMC matched her playfulness and was such a sweetie and charmer! They just might be my favorite couple out of the three novellas in the series!

I finished this book in no time as I have other books in the While You Can series, something about Emilie's writing style makes it super easy for me to gobble up her stories.

Tone:
Unghosted is a light and quirky read. Amrah's youthful, cheeky voice balances well with Colm's mature, expressive tone. This book was sweet and flirtatious, laced with mature sexual themes and spice that delivers. Emilie knows when to bring the humour and when to reel it back in for the darker and more serious parts.

Characters:
The characters' lives and stories intertwine in a charming way. I adored Amrah's interactions with Jules' family. Amrah and Juliette's dynamic was funny, dramatic, full of banter, and endearing. They need each other. Two special cameos had me grinning when they showed up. They even brought my favourite rainbow (IYKYK).

World:
Ghosts can spy on the living through mirrors and seem to do it often—one of a few fascinating after-life quirks. The Other Side is a peculiar place. It's teeming with souls, yet never feels overcrowded. Spirits can live in mansions and have relationships. Spirits rely on their plasmic force to sustain them during outer realm visits. The same force can be wielded as a weapon.

Drama:
The family drama gave the story layers—relatable to an extent and engaging! Amrah's family is messy, oh goodness! My favourite moment was when the matriarch pulled through,
magic-blazing, ready to defend! The true villain is revealed in a dramatic clash of good vs. evil, with a twist I didn't see coming.

For a short, spicy, paranormal fix, with magic & family mayhem read this book.

If anyone can bring me out of my comfort zone it's Emilie Ocean and she's one again done it with Unghosted, the third Novella in the While You Can world.

I've loved the previous books in the series and Amrah our FMC in Unghosted was one of my favourite side characters, she’s exactly the kind of ghost I would want to be if I was a ghost (now there's a sentence I never thought I would say), she's sassy, sarcastic, witty & spends her afterlife looking for amusement & it was so lovely to finally learn her story.

Now a very very dead witch ghost and a very very alive Fae shouldn't work but oh how it does, Amrah & Colm's story was beautiful, with an instant connection, spark & fire, they were without a doubt soul mates. I'll be honest the entire way through I had no idea how the author could possibly wrap this story up in a happy ever after but I was very happy with how she did, it was perfect.

This was a beautifully written story with fabulous characters, I loved that the story was once again a love letter to both Ireland & Reunion Island and that we saw some familiar faces from previous books yet it was a complete standalone with the reader given the full background of our characters. Also a moment for how Emilie built the 'afterlife', 'otherside', I want to live there!!

Another step outside of my norm but I absolutely loved it.

What to expect~

💜 Ghost x Living Winged Fae
🩵 Forbidden Love
🩷 Soulmates
💙 Cultural Differences
💛 Ireland x Reunion Island
🖤 Black Magic
❤️ HEA

So I got to say it, I absolutely love Emilie Ocean and her books, I have tried to stay caught up on them, they are all such great reads. This one I enjoyed alot, I didint know how she would throw the emotions in there with a ghost persay, but let me say she did not drop the ball, she is an amazing writter, I am thankful that she has let me read so many of her books, This one is one of my favorites, I loved seeing how she portrayed Amrah, and the emotions that you would think would disaapear if you were a ghost, but not for Amrah it didint stop. I loved everything about this book. I dont know how the author does it, but everytime she pulls me in and I fall in love with the characters, the lives, the story. I can only hope that I will be blessed again to read more of her books. If you havet checked them out you should, because they are all amazing, and you will love them!

The way these two stole my heart should be illegal… 🤧

But seriously, they have to be two of the most beautiful and charming characters that I have read, I love reading them, their connection being so powerful since the beginning, how much they enjoy each other’s company and how cruel have to be fate to bring them together when they don’t have a chance…

The yearning and desperation of both of them was so tangible and heartbreaking, I was mesmerized by them and wanted so desperately for them to have their HEA

Luckily, not even death could kept them apart❤️

I definitely recommend it, this fluffy, cute and charming story will steal your heart!

I was so happy to be able to ARC read Unghosted by Emilie Ocean. It follows Enchanted as part of the While You Can series, but can be read as a standalone. It takes place in Ireland/Reunion Island and features dual POV's. Amrah, a ghost, and Colm, a winged fae, are the main characters who end up very close together when Colm moves into the apartment where Amrah "lives". It was cute, funny, and heartwarming to see their story develop. Amrah and Colm break the rules of life and death and beyond, and it is such a fun read. I recommend this to anyone who loves Romantasy! Thank you Emile and bindingwithbookspr for this ARC!

When Colm meets Amrah first she’s a ghost living in his apartment but what surprises her is that he can see her. When she sees him first, she thinks his an Angel and when Colm sees her first she’s beautiful to him.

The problem she’s a ghost that doesn’t belong on the living side of the veil, how can they ever be with each other if they can’t even touch each other, you can feel the ache in her heart. But Colm believes his destiny is with her, she has his heart and he is never going to let her go.

Amrah is everything he wants for a mate, he doesn’t want anyone else. She is his and he is hers 💕

I've read some other books in this series, and I was glad to finally see Amrah's story.

I don't read many stories from the point-of-view of a ghost, so this was interesting. The author does a good job showing how Amrah's emotional turmoil didn't end with her death. Also, without revealing spoilers, the author also did a good job how ghosts can lead "lives" just like the living.

This book contains the following:
-ghost x fae romance
-soulmates
-royal character
-family betrayal
-kind MMC
-a character having to protect their mother
-Ireland and Reunion Island settings

Unghosted was the story I was desperate for since finishing book 1 in the While You Can series when we first met Amrah. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Amrah and Colm’s story is one of my favorites of the series so far. I had so much fun getting to know Amrah better and falling in love with these two. Their story was beautifully emotional and I actually really enjoyed the ghost x fae aspect. I’m looking for to continuing the series!

Let's give it up to Amrah and Colm!! A little ghost girl and a magnificent winged fae! Angel-like winged fae. Hot as hell winged-fae. You get it! The problem with that scorching relationship you may ask? Well, ghosts are, ummmm... Ghostly. She literally passes through him and it is a shivering experience at that.

I absolutely enjoyed Unghosted. It was such a fun read!

This is a super cute paranormal fantasy romance that I absolutely loved the way Coln and Amrah bounced off each another (not physically she's a ghost haha ) but the energy that came from them both the little fun arguments the way they always have each others backs and the spice is spicccccy
