Rate this book
THE INVINCIBLE FINALE! The Invincible Woman has made it to Earth, which is already fending off an invasion it can’t win. If humanity doesn’t win this fight, it won’t win any of them ever again. There’s still the tiniest sliver of hope - if the Fantastic Four and S.H.I.E.L.D. can work together. But will it even be enough? And if the Invincible Woman can best even Susan Storm, then who can stand against her malice? Will Earth survive? Will Galactus? And if they do - at what cost? The big finale of the Invincible Woman arc - it all ends here with a bang!

Hi, I'm Ryan! I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1980 and since then have written several books. You can read my Wikipedia page for more, or check out my author site at RyanNorth.ca!

I'm the author of the webcomic Dinosaur Comics (that's the comic where the pictures don't change but the words do, it's better than it sounds and I've also done crazy things like turn Shakespeare into a choose-your-own-path adventure, write a comic for Marvel about a girl with all the powers of a squirrel, or mess up walking my dog so badly it made the news.

I'm working on more stuff as we speak, hopefully it's good

What a way to wrap up this arc. North has been building toward this and issue #10 absolutely delivers. The Invincible Woman on Earth with nothing to stop her is terrifying, and watching every heavy hitter throw everything they have at her and come up short keeps the tension cranked to max. The Scarlet Witch and Bullseye team-up is exactly the kind of weird, wonderful combo only North would cook up. And then Sue steps in and the pages practically blow out with light and power. North has been quietly making the case that Sue Storm is one of the most powerful people in the Marvel universe, and this issue is the argument in full. Ramos and the art team go absolutely wild throughout. The ending leaves plenty of threads hanging — Valeria’s scheming, the Invincible Woman’s fate, Sue’s expanding power set — and I cannot wait to see where it all goes. This run continues to be one of Marvel’s best.

The perfect ending to this story, and Ben’s comments were spot on. If anyone know the darkness that lurks in people, it’s him. Can’t wait to see where Sue goes next.

This issue contains my favourite scene this year thus far. I don't believe this is a spoiler, b/c it happens early (on the 2nd page).

Scarlet Witch, now this dimension's Sorcerer Supreme, needs to throw a hex at a target on the other side of the universe. S.H.I.E.L.D. brings in the best marksman on the planet – an imprisoned Bullseye – to aim it, and he refuses because there's no bragging rights in it. Scarlet Witch makes an appeal to his ego, "You'd have to hit the most difficult target in the universe. And if you don't try, you'll never know if you could." Without even getting to his answer, I laughed and laughed and laughed, so vulnerable and expected is the male ego to projections upon the self of its fragility that this kind of gambit usually works.

Did it? Read and find out. You're unlikely to be disappointed.

First time back on a monthly book. Scarlet Witch and Bullseye summons the F4 and invincible woman (alternate version of Sue Storm) from deep space, the F4 defeat her. Then they go back to heal Galactus, as he is a universal constant, so everyone benefits from him being alive… except those he kills.

Ben has a nice talk with Sue at the end, reassuring her that she isn’t her evil alternate universe self.

A great conclusion to the story arc. North continues to nail this series. The blend and balancing of action, science talk, and personal development is just right. So excited to see what is next.

Another wonderful issue of the Fantastic Four.
The Invincible Women seemed unstoppable.
But as usually the Fantastic Four saves the day.

Pretty solid way to end the arc! It took Earth’s mightiest heroes working together to overcome one Susan Storm variant. That’s pretty damn cool.
