THE ULTIMATE GOODBYE…Following the events of ULTIMATE ENDGAME #5, the creative teams of all the Ultimate books come together one last time to say farewell…
All of these addendums were pretty good except for the X-Men one which is trash. Even Momoko's art in that one is bad. The last page is a threat that the Ultimate Universe will return because Marvel will milk things as far as they can and then way past that point.
This was a peaceful ending. There doesn’t have to be flashes and monsters. Sometimes just moving on to the next thing is enough. We also get a new Spider-girl.
There we go, THIS was the finale the Ultimate Universe deserved. Each series got a sendoff from its original authors/artists. Each one set up potential for future stories, which seemingly will come - and hopefully sooner rather than later!
It’s unfortunate that these endings weren’t attached natively to their respective series… but oh well. A book full of good, or at least hopeful, endings. As I’ve stated before, I’m glad at least everything could wrap-up before the sudden end.
This was a nice read after the disappointing end game finale. I thought each ending was nice and gave some decent closure. The Spider-Man one was the best.
