The Wesley ranch is drowning, and the sharks have come to collect.
To wipe out a crushing debt and save their legacy, the Wesleys have no choice but to agree to a marriage alliance with their lenders—a ruthless, mafia-esque crime family. Nick Wesley is prepared to stand by while his terrifying new in-laws claim his sister, Heather. He hates it, but it’s the only way to keep the land.
But when the dangerous, brooding heir steps onto the porch, he doesn’t look at the bride. He points a finger at Nick.
"I don't want the girl. I want him."
Nick is straight. He likes women, beer, and hard work. But he loves his family more. To save his sister from a loveless nightmare and keep his parents from ruin, Nick makes the ultimate he takes her place at the altar.
Now, Nick is married to a man he doesn't know, fighting to save a ranch that’s falling apart, and navigating a world of organized crime he doesn't understand. But as the tension of the deal turns into unexpected heat, Nick realizes the most dangerous thing on the ranch isn’t the debt.
It’s the way his new husband looks at him—and the way Nick is starting to look back.
Atreus Rosewood is a gay romance author living in Michigan with his two boyfriends, two cats, a spoiled dog, and all the beaches he could ask for. He writes constantly to the detriment of all else and that's just the way he likes it. If you happen to find him wandering a beach and mumbling to himself, iced coffee is how you’ll lure him back to civilization.
3.5 - The story itself ended up being cute but definitely not at all mafia vibes. After the first few chapters everything was just too simple and sweet for a forced marriage. I enjoyed the main characters as a couple but wish we could have watched them fall for each other a little more. It seemed like it just happened suddenly behind closed doors with no lead up. The ending was also a little too sweet and clean for a mafia story.
This is an interesting book. The Wesley family is suffering on their Montana ranch, when a Mafia don decides to buy it. Dante, however, is more soft-hearted than most of his colleagues, and promptly falls in love with Nick, the Wesley son, who reciprocates the feeling. His sister disagrees until Dante is arrested, and then she comes around. It turns out that Dante didn't murder the family he said he's murdered, he sent them to Costa Rica under an assumed name. When Dante's father comes out to see the ranch, he disinherits Dante and his two brothers, Angelo and Marco, and everyone lives happily ever after in Montana.
This book was way too sweet and wholesome for mafia. For an arranged marriage. There just wasn’t a lot of angst. And once they started having sex, I felt like that’s all the book was about. There just wasn’t any meat to the plot. I feel like this series would have been amazing if the author had really jumped into the trope with more dark and hard vibes. Mafia and arranged marriage should have a dark edge to it and there wasn’t any. By half way in I was getting bored and annoyed, ended up skimming the book. I didn’t like Nick’s family at all either. His sister is a piece of work and in all the wrong ways. His parents were just like furniture in the plot, they added nothing to it. And everyone blaming Dante and his family for stealing the ranch and forcing Nick into the marriage, no the ranch would have been gone years before if the dad hadn’t borrowed the money and even if they had borrowed through a bank, if you don’t pay it back, you lose it. So it was all just ridiculous and annoying.
This was another enjoyable book in the Endless Sky Cowboys series. In this book, there is a forced marriage trope (although there was always a choice to decline) featuring a Jersey mob enforcer, Dante, and a rancher's son, Nick. The mob family is looking to diversify and expand into Montana ranch land as a source of legitimate earnings. Championed by Dante, it's also actually a way for him to break away from the criminal lifestyle that he doesn't enjoy.
When the ranch owner fails to pay back a $4 million loan, it's time to collect. Dante has been attracted to Nick via pictures and, now, he wants to try a relationship with him. It would seen like an impossible premise for a marriage, but Dante rather quickly proves that it is much more for him and that he will do anything to protect Nick. Still, some problems emerge and it takes time to fit into the new life. This book is somewhat slow burn and romantic with a satisfying HEA.
I don’t know how he did it, but Atreus Rosewood produced magic…again. Just when you thought there’s no way, absolutely no way this was going to follow the themes of the previous two “Endless Sky Cowboys” books… boom he does and has you right where he want you. The novel starts out in such a different direction then it sneaks up on you, and wham you’re where you wanted to be all the time: a comfortable cowboy territory book with hot, hunky guys thrown in for good measure. Measure for measure, each of the three books in this series has gotten better and better. I won’t give away any of the plot, but, boy, it’s a doozy, and it all roles out wonderfully! Get it. Read it. Enjoy it!
This is an arranged marriage to more cowboy romance, featuring Nick Wesley and Dante Valenti, and is book three in the Endless Sky Cowboys series.
Nick marries Dante to save his family’s ranch, even though he doesn’t want him. But living together starts to change how he feels.
I am loving this series, each book so far has been so unique but all set in this small town. Nick and Dante have this fantastic push / pull dynamic and this constant tension not just from their situation but from everything Nick is trying to deny about himself. I loved watching their relationship move from an arrangement to something very real.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 3 in series MM cowboy romance Small town Arranged marriage Mafia x Rancher Forced proximity Only one bed Hurt / Comfort Bi awakening Spicy times Outdoor s*x Public s*x Catching feelings HEA
The insta-hate on Nick’s side had me cracking up because Dante truly did not care. Like at all. He was just vibing, knowing it was gonna turn into something more eventually. Meanwhile, Nick is over here spiraling while being set up to inherit the ranch, and then BAM, his father’s mafia debt flips his whole life upside down into an arranged marriage.
And Dante?? A literal cinnamon roll with a gun, I cannot 😭💀 The duality was everything.
I loved the one-sided enemies trope at the start, especially because you could feel that shift coming after that life-saving moment. Once it hit, it HIT literally. The tension softened just enough without losing that edge.
Also, Dante staying true to himself despite his upbringing? That’s what really sold me. He could’ve gone a completely different direction, and there were definitely moments I was stressed like “please don’t ruin this”. Dante continued to show how he was so much more different than what even his family thought.
The HEA was worth the mild angst, and it's also a prime example of sometimes you have to mind your business, lol.
Did I find this on Audible for free? Yes. Did I know it was probably going to be not so good and AI narrated? Yes. Did a expect much? No. Do I haaaaate mafia books? Absolutely yes. Did I still enjoy this? Also yes.
The audio version of this is actually AI voice - yes with all the mistakes and nonsensical words. And even as - it was better than some of the voice actors I've heard... I said what I said.
The story is stupid little "mafia" forced marriage with no actual mafia stuff and golden retriever mafia boy. Unrealistic, as expected, fun anyways. If you need something short and sweet, this is it.
Delivered exactly what it promised. I really liked the story and the pacing. Interesting combination of cowboys and mafia I haven't read bevor. Another interesting story in this interconacted series in Hell Creek.
I absolutely adore the series. The tension is always there. The spice is always good. I’ve had this on my TBR since it was announced… The second it was released. I downloaded it and binge read it in 4 hours. I can’t wait to hear the story of the others characters that are coming
I started out not liking this book because mob stories just make me angry. The power and greed and ruthlessness just piss me off to no end. But, good old Rosewood (or Blake) managed to make Dante into a sweetheart and even managed to make Enzo do the right thing in the end. Hooray and thanks. I loved the story and the romance.
I read all three books in this series and this was my favorite one by far! The story was different and the plot held my interest while still being sweet. It had great spice too! Can't wait to read more by this author! Love all these Montana ranch boys!
I love Dante and Nick!! Their book is so cute and spicy. I wondered how a mafia arranged marriage story would fit in with the last two books but it fit seamlessly and I had so much fun reading it. It was so sweet and heartwarming too. I highly recommend reading the series if you haven’t!! 💛
Great character development, creative situations, and another story you hate to see end. The usual angst with clever resolution and another I could hardly put down!! Please keep it up (no pun intended). And thanks.
Great read and highly recommend!! If you enjoy a MM romance, you will enjoy this story. The family bond and friendships created are heartwarming and beautiful.
Cowboy e mafia. Trama davvero accattivante. Storia carina. Traduzione terrificante.
Cest trop doux
I may be a little biased cause I shamelessly adore a mafia mob boss pair that up with a cowboy going through a bi-awakening…is it my birthday or something? I really enjoyed this one.
Wow!!!!!!! So so so so so so good, all the feels- loved this book. If you are looking for mafia, forced marriage, bi-awakening this is it! So so good!!!
