Rate this book
(This is Book 12 in the Pride and Prejudice and Potions Series.)

Darcy is chasing the truth… and the one woman who refuses to make it easy.

Fitzwilliam Darcy lost his chance with Elizabeth Bennet the day he proposed—or maybe long before that. No matter how many “eligible women” his uncle introduces him to, forgetting Lizzy is impossible. When her father’s illness worsens from the Moonrot curse, Lizzy asks Darcy for help, giving him one last chance to win her heart.

Back in Austen Heights, Darcy finds himself swept up in the well-meaning residents’ Valentine’s antics, but the forced matchmaking is the least of his worries. While searching for a cure, he uncovers a chilling link between Moonrot and his parents’ unsolved murder. And when one of his leads turns up dead, it becomes clear that someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

Time is running out to save Mr. Bennet and solve the deadly mystery. Lizzy and Darcy must face the past… and each other, before it’s too late.

Lizzy and Darcy are back together solving crimes, and trying to uncover what a recent murder of a council member, the growing cases of the Moonrot curse, and the mysterious death of Darcy's parents have in common.
Darcy also gets his chance to see if Lizzy can forgive him for all his interference, and to show his true feelings for her before it's too late.
With the growing pressure of him to accept his role as King, and to take a suitable wife, Darcy has this final chance to win the heart of Lizzy, and must battle troublesome mothers, unexpected engagements, family secrets, and devastating revelations.
This was a sweet conclusion to the magical series, and a charming resolution for Darcy and Lizzy, and for the rest of their families happy endings.

OMG GUYS I CANT BELIEVE THIS SERIES IS OVER😭
I loved every single one of these books and Darcy’s story was the PERFECT way to end this enchanted world of Austen Heights!

Oh my dear Darcy, this was such a beautiful story of mystery, love, unexpected twists, overcoming challenges, and fighting for what you love. I simply can’t find the right words to describe how all of these stories made me feel and I love how they all tied together at the end! I’m so happy to have been through them all!

I will always dream of a magical town called Austen Heights🫶🏼

What a fantastic ending to the series! Even though anyone who knows Pride and Prejudice knows how the book ends, this was anything but predictable! Darcy is determined to figured out the cure for Moonrot; Lizzy is determined to help before her father succumbs to the disease. And while you're wondering when they'll get over this "will they, won't they" aspect of their relationship, there's a murder to solve...or three. Loved the chance to be in Darcy's head for a while, and I'm pretty sad that this is the end of the series.

The last book in the "Pride & Prejudice & Potions" series that finally gets into the head of Mr. Darcy himself!

Fitzwilliam Darcy has had one too many chances with Elizabeth Bennet and he fears that he's blown his chance with her for good. No matter what Darcy does, he just can't seem to get Lizzy out of his mind. When Lizzy reaches out saying that Mr. Bennet's Moonrot has worsened, Darcy knows he must return to Austen Heights and get to the bottom of this deadly disease. Back in Austen Heights, the town is trying their hardest to push him and Lizzy back together, but Darcy must not let himself be distracted. He has just uncovered a chilling connection between Moonrot and his parents' deaths, and he will stop at nothing to find a cure to heal Mr. Bennet before it is too late.

This was such a good conclusion to such a great series! I absolutely adored my time in Austen Heights, and it was so fun to see all the familiar faces return in this book. All the main couples from the previous eleven books make an appearance, so it was such a great reunion. It does sadden me that there is no more content to indulge in, but it was such a relief to finally see Lizzy and Darcy end up together.

By the time this book happens, Darcy has mellowed out quite a bit. He realizes that he was raised quite prejudiced towards witches and that he has treated Lizzy poorly time after time. It was such a relief to see Darcy recognize all his wrong doings and still be brave enough to fight for the girl he loves regardless. His ability to stop time briefly has to be one of the most busted of all the character's fae powers, but it checks out due to the fact that he is a fae prince.

The murder mystery aspect of this book mostly focuses on Darcy and Lizzy trying to surmise what truly happened to cause Darcy's parents deaths two years ago. Another person also turns up dead near the beginning of this book, and they figure it connects back to the mystery surrounding Darcy's parents in some way. The mystery of who killed them wasn't all that engaging since it was pretty obvious from the start, but the task of finding a cure for Moonrot had me hooked the entire way through.

Moonrot is one of the things that persisted throughout the entire series, and I had no idea what was really up with it. It was great to finally get answers to all the burning questions I had surrounding this deadly disease and finally get some closure for Mr. Bennet.

The Valentine's Day vibes present in this one were so cute! Austen Heights celebrates most holidays extravagantly, but I feel they are the most excited about Valentine's Day because of their love for playing matchmaker. Seeing the Bennet sisters and Georgiana scheme to try to get Darcy and Lizzy to admit they still have feelings for one another is so comical; the five of them truly make an unstoppable team.

The ending of this book was so gooey and sweet. From the scene in which Darcy and Lizzy return to the club they first met at to the very last chapter, the ending to this book had me very emotional. It is evident that the characters in this series care for each other so strongly. It saddens me greatly that I have consumed all the content featuring them.

Overall, "Darcy's Story" is probably my favorite installment of this series, because it wraps everything up so nicely. It was fun seeing all the Bennet sisters paired up with their significant others when Darcy and Lizzy finally got together. Resolving the Moonrot subplot that persisted throughout this entire series was also a major plus. The romantic, mysterious, and cozy vibes are done so well throughout this series, and it is so bittersweet that the last installment has officially been read. I will miss my time in Austen Heights, though I'm sure I'll revisit again in this lifetime. I'd highly recommend this series to people who love no spice romances, cozy mysteries, and fae magic. Bonus point if you like all three!

I seriously can't believe this series is over, but this was such a great way to end it!

In this final book, Darcy and Lizzy are back together solving mysteries-there's a new murder, more questions about Moonrot, and finally the truth about what happened to Darcy's parents. On top of all that, Mr. Bennet's condition is getting worse, and Darcy is feeling the pressure to step up as king and choose the "right" bride. So yeah... he has a lot going on.

I really loved how much Darcy has grown. He knows he messed up in the past, and he's finally ready to admit it and fight for Lizzy the right way. Their chemistry is still so good, and the tension between them had me hooked. When they finally get their happy ending, it feels totally earned and so, so sweet.

It was also really nice to see all the other couples again. It felt like one big reunion. And after so many books hinting at Moonrot, we finally get answers, which was super satisfying. The Valentine's Day setting made everything even cuter, especially with all the matchmaking and meddling going on.

Overall, this was cozy, romantic, a little suspenseful, and very emotional in the best way. I'm really going to miss this world and these characters, but this ending wrapped everything up perfectly. If you like clean romance, light mystery, and magical Pride & Prejudice vibes, this series is definitely worth reading.

"This was Austen Heights after all, where gossip spread faster than wildfire." ❤️

This was such a lovely, satisfying ending to a genuinely lovely series.  Darcy and Lizzie’s happily ever after was everything I wanted it to be!  Earned through growth, honesty and finally facing the past together.  I really enjoyed seeing Darcy softer, more self-aware and fully committed, while Lizzie remained smart, capable and completely herself.  The mystery thread tied neatly into the wider series arc and I liked how the stakes felt real without overpowering the romance.  It felt nostalgic, cozy and emotional in all the right ways and turning the final page genuinely made me smile.  A perfect farewell to this magical Austen-inspired world.

The final book of the series and again the author has smashed it out the park. It was great to read Darcy and Lizzy back investigating crimes together. Darcy’s determination to find a cure for Moonrot. A few twists and turns to make you think but all in all the ending was well crafted and was just perfect. It is also very sad this is the last instalment in this series. I have really enjoyed these books and a huge thanks to the authors for allowing me to be on their ARC team. I have been recommending to my friends to put this series at the top of their tbr list as it’s a great cozy mystery series with a great sprinkling of magic thrown in.

I received this as an arc from the author and this is my honest opinion.

loved how this book tied up the series completely. It was such a happy ending with Darcy and Elizabeth finally admitting they love each other and marrying (also jane and charles, a double wedding!) I was happy to read about all the other couples getting together and finding a cure for moonrot. This book perfectly ends the entire series and finds the solution to cure the disease affecting fae and also allowing vampires and werewolves to come out of hiding and be a part of the community as a whole. I seriously wish Austen heights was a real place the way the community came together was so touching. Definitely rereading all these books. Saving Darcy for last was great because of how he has such a hard time expressing his feelings. It was meant to be!

The much anticipated end for the Pride, Prejudice, and Potions series is worth the build up. Darcy and Lizzy's love story has been hinted at throughout the series with teasers and when you finally get to finish it you are on the edge of your seat waiting to devour it. Darcy's story did not disappoint. The play these two characters have off each other is amazing. They truly work so well together with him being more refined and her more on full blast. The story has them put together again to solve a current and past murder that are linked to the moonrot disease plaguing the fae community. Will they be able to work together to figure this mystery out? Will their true feelings for each other be revealed or will they get in their own way? This series ending is a must read.

Darcy’s Story is a cozy fantasy romance filled with mystery, curses and Valentines magic. This is the final installment in the cozy mystery standalone series inspired by Jane Austen, and I absolutely adored them all! Pride & Prejudice & Potions is delightfully romantic and excitingly mysterious with a dash of holiday magic, rich world building and charming characters. I can’t get enough of these stories! It is nothing short of addicting and is definitely a series I will be rereading. The sentient homes are one of my favorite parts besides the Pride and Prejudice inspired romances. The art in these books is so pretty, too!

Thank you so much J. Ann Curtis for a copy of this book! It was a joy to read this series!

Things are never quite what we expect at first glance. That was the case for Darcy, whose orderly life was turned into the complete opposite of what he had once planned — forever. And all of that because of Lizzy.

The same happens to readers like me, who had never seen him this way in other versions of the story and are surprised to discover a more transparent Darcy, especially when it comes to his feelings.

When even everything he has ever wanted begins to demand a definitive choice, Darcy is finally led to embrace adulthood. And, in accepting his fate, he proves himself as noble as one would expect of a king.

A solid ending to a delightful series in Austen Heights' magical world.

It was adorable how much Darcy wanted Elizabeth but was sure he'd ruined his chances already. He was so loyal to his family and determined to help find the cure for moonrot, even if he couldn't have the girl he loved.

The mysterious nature of death and magic was interesting. The very overt meddling of everyone with Darcy and Lizzy was a bit much....a slow burn with gradual actions would have been nice....but the ending was sweet and satisfying on the murder mystery, moonrot, and their love.

Thanks to the author for this ARC review copy in exchange for my honest review.

The perfect ending to this intriguing series. Darcy and Lizzy's story has been building throughout the series and finally they get their happily ever after. The mystery, suspense and fantasy all play an important part. Who knew the real story behind the deaths of Darcy's parents, what was causing Mr. Bennett's illness and of course could Lizzy Bennett ever fall in love with Darcy. A must read to uncover the truth. This has been an entertaining series full of Faes, Werewolves, Witches, Potions and plenty of mystery. The romance follows the beloved Pride and Prejudice theme with some interesting twists and turns.

I’m so sad this series is over 😭 it was absolutely perfect!

Finally getting to read the much anticipated Darcy novel, I must say that it totally lived up to what I was hoping it would! From getting to see all the other characters from the other novels one last time, the unmatched banter between Darcy and Lizzy, to solving the biggest mystery of moonrot, it filled me with so much happiness reading it!

The epilogue in this novel was absolutely perfect as well, and normally epilogues aren’t a hit with me!

This whole series is so fun and perfect for any Pride & Prejudice lover, like myself! I cannot recommend them enough!

You have bewitched me, body, and soul… 😭♥️😭♥️😭

The last book in this series and it didn‘t disappoint at all!

I devoured it and loved it! Darcy solving not just one recent murder mystery but also the one about his parents?
And in the same time his yearning for Lizzy, solving the curse of Moonrot. Brilliant!

The end was amazing! It gave me all the feels of the 2005 movie adaption tbh!

I also have to add that it was always wonderful to read about Mayor Pembroke‘s dresses or Mrs Bates yellow bike. Made me smile every time. Wonderful details.

This is the final book in the series and it follows Darcy’s point of view, so Darcy is about to be 28 and have to take the throne he has just one month to finally solve his parents murder, discover a cure to moonrot and he is being pressured to marry. In comes Lizzy who is more determined than ever to figure out the cause of moonrot because her father is getting close to dying. Working together reignites the passion they have for one another and the rest you’ll have to read to find out. I received this book as an advanced reader copy and I thank the author for allowing me to read it.

Sweet, sweet Darcy and Lizzy. Even the crushing weight of murder, secrets, unspoken truth, and life pressures, fate seems to be aiding them to find their way back to each other. Watching how their feeling growth, navigating their path and make life chaging decisions has been a bittersweet experience.

Cant believe its the final book, and the whole journey is nothing short of wonderfully done. The series and characters will stay in my heart forever.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this in advance.

Darcy fears his chance with Lizzy is lost and gone forever but when she calls and asks for help with her ailing father he drops everything to be by her side. Can they reconcile their friendship and cure moonrot in the process or will Lizzy’s father and their love pass forever?

Shocking family secrets and a fantastic ending to the series! Loved the Valentine’s Day theme and of course the fantastic ending. I am sorry there won’t be more of these wonderful characters but the finale did them justice.

I received an ARC copy but my opinions are my own.

Not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous about this book. Not because I doubted the author's skills as a writer, but because I've really enjoyed this series, and one just never knows how the finale will play out. But honestly, this was exactly the conclusion this series needed!

I laughed out loud. I had second-hand embarrassment. There was romantic tension and competition. There was suspense and heartache. We got all the magic and whimsy we've come to expect with Netherfield and the charming town. And the story was wrapped up beautifully, combining all the characters and tidbits from the previous books in the series. (For this reason, I do recommend reading them all in order, even though they're technically standalones.)

And of course, it's set around Valentine's Day, and holds the climactic story of Darcy and Lizzy.

It's rather bittersweet being done with the series -- I have really enjoyed these books and am thankful to the authors for allowing me to be on their ARC team!

This was a great conclusion to such a fun series! It felt like everything had built up to this book, so I really cared about what was going to happen to these characters. I loved how it wrapped everything up nicely, but I am so sad that we won't be getting any more stories! The world building was so interesting and all the characters were so enjoyable. I look forward to whatever the authors write next!

This was a great conclusion to this series. The plot twists of where the Moonrot came from and who covered up the passing of Darcy's parents and Ashcombe in the story was crazy. I really enjoyed seeing the secondary characters work together to bring Darcy and Lizzy together with the games they invented. I loved the ending and how Darcy and Lizzy found their HEA.

Darcy and Elizabeth are still so cute when they're trying to avoid each other. And man, the pressure Darcy has before taking the throne! Between solving murders, a magical illness, and romance. I've really enjoyed his story; He's so noble throughout and trying to do what's right while accepting others POV to help him grow.

This book is nothing short of spellbinding from beginning to end. It is a clever addition (and conclusion) to a delightful series. The story and the mystery are captivating and I loved Lizzy and Darcy. The ending with the Valentine’s cards, the proposal, and the vows is totally swoonworthy.

What an absolutely beautiful ending to a wonderful series. I loved Darcy and everything he had on his plate. Win over Lizzy, solve 3 murders, and find a cure for Moonrot. But he made it happen. He didn’t let anything deter him. This was such a sweet and fun one to read. It’s sad that it’s over. But the series was awesome.
