They call it The Den—where alphas and omegas give in to our baser instincts, stripping away etiquette and inhibitions in a haze of raw heat, slick, and sweat. It’s a place where masks provide anonymity, and we can unleash our primal urges.
I show up on a whim, drawn by the boring monotony of my life. I need something, someone, to make me feel alive again, if only for a little while.
The moment I catch a whiff of him, I’m a goner. He smells like the best dessert—sweet, intoxicating, and irresistible. Every piece of me aches to hunt him, to chase him, to claim him. To discover if he tastes as good as he smells.
But some omegas don’t want to be claimed. Especially when the one I chose, the one who smells like crème brûlée and mine, turns out to be my supervisor at work.
I know I should walk away. That he doesn’t want an alpha. But he makes me feel alive like nothing else ever has. And surrendering to our instincts feels like the only mistake worth making.

I love that this world is expanding. And I can’t wait for what comes next in the series. That is honestly my main takeaway from this second book.

Not quite as exhilarating as the Pit Stop but still good and hot and it had all the slickness that makes an omegaverse go smooth for me.

Let’s see what’s up with Forest next. I think it’s good he got the serum just in time. 😬

Tropes: boss / employee, second chances, alpha/omega
Feels: 2/5
Steam*: 2/5
Kinks: knotting, heats
Angst: low
HEA: HEA
Pairing: MM
Triggers/potential icks/content warnings/representation: past death of parents, drug addiction (parents), foster care trauma, being discriminated against for being an Omega and otherness
Cheating between MCs: No
Any cheating: No
Other person drama: There's no cheating, but there is other person drama all over the place. And not just between the mmcs, it seems like a lot of the side characters are in messy relationships with multiple people. I like monogamy, I hate the hurts of OPD, so I found a lot of things icky and unromantic. I wish the book had focused on the main couple more and had them both be so preoccupied with each other, and not dredging up their past hookups. I'm not looking forward to the rest of the series - if it keeps down this path, I will peace out. I don't read OPD books (knowingly) or poly. It sounds like Glenn's dad f***** his girlfriend's son Rhodes. Red has been f'ing Forest and a Fae. Forest is f'ing every alpha he can, multiples at once, and the epilogue is setting him up to be the Pack's hole, all of the alphas coming all over him at once. It's a lot for someone who hates OPD and doesn't enjoy poly. I will stand up for the rights of poly people IRL but reading OPD & poly is unromantic to me and puts me in a bad headspace.

Between the mmcs - The mmcs had an anonymous hookup, then didn't see each other for 3 months and probably slept with other people. The other person drama though is all the references to other Alphas that Arbor has slept with. He was single then, but damn is it ugly to constantly run into people who have f***** your man, Arbor used / was used by an entire pack of Alphas. I would not have been as calm/chill as Glenn was in meeting all those guys. I actually doubted Glenn's feelings for Arbor by how much of a non-reaction he had.

3.5 stars

Glenn is an alpha. Arbor is an omega. They both participated in a heat run where Alphas chase omegas in heat and f*** them. Glenn was immediately drawn to Arbor, even though he had never been with a man before. After they spend a day together, Arbor dips out on him. And then we flash forward 3 months and Arbor shows up as Glenn's new boss at the work site he works at. Arbor doesn't recognize him at first, because they were wearing masks, but Glenn recognizes Arbor. They try to keep things professional, but they have chemistry and they slip into hooking up. It took a long time for it to start becoming more than just sex, but eventually it got there and there was affection between the mmcs that was non-sexual. I wish there had been more romance and earlier.

Arbor is part Fae and he hates that about himself. It makes him different. He has been told that he has a offensive scent to others, and he really struggles with trying to mask his scent and disliking himself, not accepting himself. Glenn comes from a happy family and is really well adjusted and a good person.

I liked the relationship between Arbor and Glenn well enough, but they were kind of weak romance leads and I didn't get that epic love feel from them. They were too casual at times about things/each other, and Arbor was so preoccupied with his own insecurities that he came off as a selfish MMC, not sure he was ready for a relationship. I found the werewolves who made themselves at home at Glenn's place funny though and I liked the cats. But all the other person drama stuff just made a lot of the book unpleasant to me personally. Definitely wouldn't read this one again.

Some notable moments:

"It doesn’t help that Glenn says nothing about those plants and chocolates I sent over, and neither do I. I’m pretty sure they’re sitting in the garbage right now. He probably used them for kindling, but I can’t just pretend like I’m not sorry, like I don’t care. I need to do something. Anything until he looks at me again."

"“Why are they here?” he whispers, still not getting out of the car. “They kind of won’t leave. I fed them once, and here they are. Every damn day."

*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

I really love the worlds that Cora creates 🤍 While I’m not a huge expert, this felt a bit different from a typical omegaverse. And I mean it in a good way, I genuinely loved the fae aspect - I feel like we didn't get quite enough backstory for it, but it surely sprinkled things up.

I remember how crazy I felt after the Pit Stop (a definite must-read in terms of how good it is), it was one of my first mm ov, and I was overwhelmed in the best way with all the spice 🥵 This book was more balanced in that aspect, while it starts with a spicy bang, the rest of it is a good mix of spice, emotional turmoil, some plot and a loooooot of different people mingling around 😬

Now, as for the dynamics - this book had everything I love in OV - the scents, the longing, the primal need. But I both loved and hated their path to each other - while it felt earned and not too easy, the reasoning behind all the holding back was a bit.. silly for a grown-ass adult Arbor claims to be. BUT there is a lot of real communication, even some grovelling, so it’s really everything we all love 🤍

“What do you need, Arbor?” he finally asks, the lights flickering slightly.
“My alpha.”

The way Cora writes this need, desperation and passion is exceptional, I enjoyed this so much!
Also, the sneak peak into Forest's story was very intriguing, can't wait for it 🤍

Thank you sosomuch for this ARC 🤍 My thoughts are honest and my own ❣️

This book was exactly the kind of omegaverse romance that pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go.

This book is why I love MM romance. Add in the omegaverse elements, and I was completely sold. It had the perfect mix of emotional connection, tension, and spice that kept me turning pages and wanting more.

The chemistry between the main characters was immediate, intense, and impossible to ignore. What starts as a chance encounter at The Den quickly becomes much more complicated when they discover that the omega who caught the alpha’s attention is actually his supervisor at work.

I loved the tension throughout this book. The push and pull between instinct and choice created so many emotional moments, and the workplace dynamic added another layer of conflict that kept me invested.

One of my favorite things about this story was that it wasn’t just about attraction. Both characters had their own fears, boundaries, and struggles to work through. Watching them navigate those feelings while trying to figure out what they wanted from each other made the romance feel even more rewarding.

The world-building was easy to follow, and I found myself completely immersed in the omegaverse setting. The balance between emotional connection, tension, and spice worked really well for me.

If you enjoy:
✨ Omegaverse Romance
✨ MM Romance
✨ Alpha/Omega Dynamics
✨ Workplace Romance
✨ Forbidden Attraction
✨ Emotional Tension
✨ Protective MMCs

then this is definitely worth picking up.

4 ⭐️ I had such a great and fun time with the second book of this series. Glenn can’t forget the enchanting omega he spent a full moon with, but when he suddenly appears out of nowhere, he won’t let him go a second time. I think this magical universe that Cora Rose is creating is such so fun and addictive. I had a great time with this story, it felt fresh and new, but still giving us all the things we love about omegaverse and fantasy! I’m so excited for the next book(s) in this series, and hope a lot of secretes will be revealed.

Highly recommend for anyone that love omegaverse, romantasy, found family, and tons of steamy fun times!

A big thank you to the author and her team for providing me with an arc of this great story!

I had so much fun reading this! It starts off with a bang (and a whole lotta banging!😜)! The immediate connection is there during the Heat Hunt when Glenn smells a delicious omega. There is something very different about Arbor and the two spend the night together. The Heat Hunt is anonymous so when Arbor leaves suddenly before it’s over Glenn is disappointed.
But in true romance fiction style Glenn has a new boss at work and he recognizes that scent plus the two different colored eyes. It’s the omega from the hunt.

Glenn is a very sweet alpha, he respects omegas and he has no intention of letting Arbor know their connection but Arbor soon connects the dots and these two just cannot stay away from each other. I enjoyed all the sexy times they had, I don’t always want this much sex in a book but it really worked here.

Arbor is not just an omega and because of this he has never fit in anywhere. He is extremely self conscious of his scent and doesn’t trust anyone, especially alphas. He tries to run and unfortunately he gets hurt badly. Glenn is unlike anyone else Arbor has met. I loved Glenn and his laid back approach. He tries to give Arbor his space but gets hurt when Arbor leaves him. I understood why Arbor felt the way he did but he soon realizes his error.

There are many secondary characters in this book and some were in the first book. I didn’t remember a lot from the first book so I think this can be read as a standalone. I am so excited to read what is coming! Forest’s book seems like it’ll be a doozy and Red is an intriguing character! I am extra excited about Glenn’s dad and what his connection is to his girlfriend’s son is. I have a strong suspicion and I hope I don’t have to wait too long to find out!

This was a fun read. I love Glenn. He's strong and sturdy and reliable. He's friendly to everyone and is able to go with the flow. I love Arbor, too. He's prickly at first, but also sweet and kind. He's spent his entire life resenting his designation and his scent, that it makes him self conscious and suspicious when Glenn shows him genuine affection. I loved their "meet cute" and their second chance meeting. The boss/employee aspect was fun. The side characters were amazing! The werewolves are a delight and I hope we see more of them. As is Arbor's cheese-selling friend. And, of course, the brothers. It's great to learn more about them.

Overall, I had a good time. It got a little plotty as we built this world a bit more, but it was still fun.

Notes: 2/5 spice levels, omegaverse, alpha/omega, boss/employee, second chance, heat, non shifters, magic

I enjoyed this one a lot more then the first book. There was much more going on, there were all kinds of fantasy beings and I am ready to read more about them. I really liked Arbor, he was so cute and desperate to prove himself as an omega. His meeting with the cheese and honey lady (I forgot here name) was both funny and adorable. Glenn also was very likeable, except for a chapter or two, when he acted like a jackass. His family is quite interesting, especially his dad. Something is cooking his way I am sure of it. I am sure Forest’s book will be filthy.. I didn’t quite liked how his story was introduced. I much more want to find out about a certain fae.

I had the honor and privilege to receive this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Let’s get into my thoughts!!

You know what Cora Rose did?? She DID THAT 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This story was so damn good. There was so much more world building, so much more lore, and so many more Easter eggs that are promising.

This story follows Arbor, our part far, part omega baby with trust issues GALOREEEEEEEE. Insert Glenn, a calm, loving, protective and totally different alpha than the rest and Arbor is so stumped lol. I loved their dynamic and loved watching their trust in one another (iykyk) build over the course of the story.

We see some familiar faces that had me DYING laughing. We get a healthy dose of the Howlers, Red, Glenn’s brothers (more so River and Forest), Attie, Owen, and more. The comedy in this? Top tier. The spice? Do I even HAVE to say anything? HELLOOOOOO ITS CORA 🥵🫣🤣.

I am SO excited for the next installment of this series and can’t WAIT to learn more about Forest and eventually Red (two separate books - read the authors notes lol). This was such a fun, great, and sexy time!

I remember loving Pit Stop (Book 1) and this one was on par with all Cora Rose reads, she is easily one of my favourite authors for MM books. I have rated based on my post read feels cos I just couldn't put it down and finished it in a day and was left wanting more, or at least the next book!
Glenn is Skyes older brother (Skye was from book 1) and he meets Arbor during an anonymous heat hunt then can't get him.out of his head. The pair end up working together with Arbor becoming Glenns new boss, but Arbor has secrets about who he is.
I can see the set up for future stories and I am curious where this series will go next. I will end up reading them all I am sure!!!!

Glenn and Arbor meet anonymously during the Heat Hunt, which is a time to let their primal urges take over. Things are fine, until Arbor shows up at Glenn's work, having become his new supervisor. The two are drawn to one another, but they try to fight it for different reasons. Will they eventually give in to their desires?

I enjoyed this book, as I do every Cora Rose book, but it wasn't my favorite. For some reason, I didn't connect to the MCs like I normally do, and their relationship felt/fell flat for me. It could have been because so many other characters were introduced and given page time, and so the main couple was overshadowed a bit?

As in any Rose book, the spice is absolutely spicing, and there's some banter between the main characters. This book definitely sets up the next in the series and tension for future books. I think I'll continue with the series to find out what happens.

Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read an ARC.

Whaaaat the fuck HAHA

I really didn't love the first one in this series, but I also didn't hate it. I just felt like it was lacking in a few areas. So when I saw that this one was released, I thought 'eh why not' and decided to give it a go.

Do I regret it? Not exactly.
Has it cemented that I probably won't continue with the series though? Yeah, it has.

I thoroughly enjoyed the start of this book -- the idea that Arbor and Glenn had both signed up for a 'Heat Hunt' where they can get in touch with the more primal side of their wolf lineage, and an alpha can literally hunt down an omega during their heat (it's all consensual, they have to sign up for it). What a way to kickstart book two! Had me feeling hopeful.

Then the twist that Arbor ends up being Glenn's boss? Icing on the cake.

What I wasn't a fan of? There's a list...

- Arbor's whole identity was so secretive (and we STILL don't know much about his lineage, but apparently it'll be covered in later books? Even though THIS book was about him?) and he felt like he couldn't stay with an alpha lest they have power over him, so he decides to magically knock Glenn out, leave him in the forest surrounded my potential bad dudes, and make a break for it? But then immediately in the next chapter is like 'oh I feel so bad, I actually think I really like him and he could be it for me so now I need to grovel'

- Following that whole shebang, when Arbor decides to apologise, grovel, and try to get Glenn back, what does Glenn do? Ignore him. Doesn't even say hi, won't make eye contact, takes the gifts Arbor gives him and GIVES THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE?? And then when Arbor is like 'okay, it's been a whole week of this he obviously hates me so I'm gonna go to the Pit Stop and get railed by an unknown alpha through a gloryhole' (um immediate ick for me) Glenn is like 'actually no, I'll have sex with you' but then proceeds to act like it was a chore afterwards?? I really didn't like this whole 'revenge' behaviour, it seemed out of character

- BUT THEN! Later in the book when they've worked it out and gotten back together, they're apart for the weekend while Arbor goes to visit his foster brother, and Glenn goes on a trip with his brother Forest to the Crimson Howlers pack. And guess what? Turns out Arbor's foster brother is part of that pack so they end up in the same space. And what do we find out? That Arbor used to live with this pack as well, and has been with pretty much every single alpha in the pack during one of his heats. Um. Excuse me? I don't like reading about sharing or OPD (other person drama) in romances, it makes me uncomfortable and takes away from the romantic-ness of the story IMO. So having Glenn walk into the pack and all these alphas are like 'oh hey Arbor, haven't seen you in forever. Thought you didn't like our dicks anymore' and having to acknowledge that pretty much every alpha in the pack has not only had sex with the guy he loves, but has also WATCHED Arbor and other alphas getting it on because there's apparently no such thing as privacy/secrets in this pack? Did not like that... at all. I get an omega has needs but do we really need to bring up so many exes in the book? We barely spoke about Glenn's exes but Arbor's over here like 'yeah I've been with like... all of these guys'. Ick.

- AND THEN the grand finale. Forest, Glenn's brother, is an alpha who likes being with other alphas. Hence why he visits the Crimson Howlers pack. In the same scene I was talking about just before, we see Forest getting with like three different alphas. But in the epilogue... I felt like I was just reading porn. And I know romance has a lot of smut... but this felt like solid porn. Because Forest is an alpha, but loves being an omega in terms of having sex with alphas. So the Crimson Howlers pack decides to hold this ceremony, and FORCES Forest to agree to transform into an omega (through magic) and be bound to be their pack's hole for the duration of a year. And how do they complete this ceremony, you might ask? Well, Forest is stripped naked and all of the alphas start wanking until they cover him in their seed. And voila he's now part of the pack, and his whole purpose is to be there for the alphas' pleasure and companionship. EXCUSE ME??

Forest's book is next in the series and considering I don't like reading about sharing, I'm probably gonna pass.

I also feel like the rate at which we're getting information is a little too slow?? For example, one of my sticking points in book one was that after Skye and Mav broke their bond, we never figured out who tampered with their phones and caused their numbers to be blocked. We never spoke about it other than a 'oh maybe this person did it' and I know a lot of other people were annoyed by that loose end as well. Well, we get to book two and there's another one-liner about how Red was 'acting on the orders of a fae' and tampered with their phones... okay, good to know I guess, but why are we just finding this out now? Could we not have teased that in book one, gotten readers excited about why Red is working with a fae, and then delve into his story later?

OMG ALSO?! They never said 'I love you' to each other. A romance novel, and the main characters never admitted that they loved each other. There was a scene from Glenn's POV where he's thinking 'I may even love him' but they never say it out loud?? Why??

Anyway. This once again turned into a rant review when I really didn't mean it to, but considering I've now done this with both books so far? I'm gonna take that as a sign to not continue with this series.

I just don’t know how to feel about this book. I feel like I just didn’t care enough. Like, I liked a few elements of it. I enjoyed certain characters. But overall, I just don’t know how I feel about it. It didn’t feel like more than 3 stars, but it didn’t feel lower than that either. I’m honestly confused about my own feelings. I feel like I’m being a critical bitch about this, and maybe I was expecting something different, but I really don’t know.

I loved the first book. I genuinely enjoyed it, and I was really excited for this one. I didn’t even know it was gonna be Glenn’s book, so that was a surprise. But I don’t know, something was missing. I can’t even tell you what it was. I just didn’t feel that strong chemistry and emotional connection that I’m always looking for. And that’s honestly shocking because this is the first time that’s happened to me with one of Cora’s books. Usually she gets me every single time. Usually I’m completely invested in the couple and feeling everything they’re feeling. Here, I just wasn’t.

The side characters, though? My goodness. I loved them. I am OBSESSED with the shifters. Like, absolutely obsessed. I’m so fucking ready for Forest’s book. One, because I’m already interested in him. And two, because I need more of that pack. I need answers. I need details. I need all of it. They scare me a little bit, I’m not gonna lie, but that just makes me more interested.

And that first chapter from Forest’s book? Baby, I need that book RIGHT NOW. I have so many questions. I don’t even know who he’s gonna bond with. I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t know anything. I just know that I need answers immediately. Same thing with Red and all the stuff surrounding him. I have so many questions about that whole situation. I know the answers are coming in future books, and that’s fine, but I’m impatient as fuck. This book literally just came out and I’m already sitting here waiting for the next one.

Now, talking about the main couple, I really liked the concept. I liked the whole first love, first bond kind of feeling. I liked the idea of it. It should’ve worked for me. But it just didn’t completely hit. Then when they finally started bonding and doing things together that weren’t just spice scenes, I was actually getting more invested. But then the ending felt rushed to me. It felt like we suddenly realized we were running out of pages and needed to wrap everything up quickly. And I didn’t love that.

I know I keep saying I don’t know, but that’s genuinely how I feel. I don’t know what wasn’t clicking for me. I might give this another chance later on because I do feel like rereading the first book beforehand would’ve helped. There were definitely moments where I struggled to remember certain people and certain details, but by the halfway point I had figured it all out again.

I also loved the werewolves. I’m absolutely ready for their books too. And I really like Glenn’s brothers. I enjoy all of them, honestly. So I’m excited for those stories as well. And thank God Forest’s book is next because if another brother had come before him, I would’ve lost my mind. He’s definitely my favorite so far, and I’m dying to know what’s going on with him.

As for Glenn, I really liked him. One of my favorite things about him was how much he loved Arbor’s scent. I loved that he wanted Arbor to be completely himself. He didn’t want him hiding behind that pendant. He didn’t want him making himself smaller or less noticeable. He wanted ALL of him. The real version of him. The full intensity of who he was. And I really loved that because it felt like Glenn was constantly saying, “I like you exactly the way you are.” That was honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole book.

And with Arbor, I liked seeing him slowly become vulnerable. I liked seeing him realize that Glenn wasn’t going anywhere. That Glenn genuinely liked him exactly as he was. Once those walls started coming down, I enjoyed him a lot more. I liked watching him trust Glenn and start believing what he was saying instead of immediately assuming the worst.

But yeah, that’s honestly all I have to say. I feel like I’ve talked myself in circles because that’s literally how confused I am about this book. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t amazing. It was just… there.

I’m still absolutely continuing with Cora’s books tho. If you know me, then you know I’ve basically been binge reading all of her books for months now. I’m starting another series by her too because I genuinely love her writing. I love her characters. I love her worlds. I love the found family. I love the side characters. I love all of that.

This one just didn’t completely do it for me. It was kinda meh.

The Den, a tavern in the forest, hosts an event, the Heat Hunt. It’s where Alphas hunt Omegas in heat, where Omegas can let Alphas fuck them into oblivion, all with consent. It’s anonymous, they all wear masks.

When Glenn smells the petite male omega, he knows he’s his. His scent is nothing he has ever smelled, and his eyes are extraordinarily. They have the best heat and have an instant connection. Glenn wants more with this omega, only to wake up the next morning and the omega is gone.
He’s quite disappointed, and can’t get the omega out of his head

Omega Arbor starts his new job supervising a construction site. He has to stand tall among all the big alphas. One alpha is quite particular, why is he looking at him this way?
Glenn can’t believe his eyes, the omega from the Heat Hunt is his new boss, he found him. But Arbor is distant and rude.
Wait until Arbor understands Glenn is his alpha from the hunt.

I could tell how it goes but that would take away the awesomeness.
I’ll pick a few things about the course. It’s a very entertainingly written omegaverse story. It has delicious spicy scenes, and a stubborn omega who tries to resist his protective alpha and hurt him on the way.

Glenn comes from a large family, and we can enjoy the interactions, everything is wonderfully executed. Arbon’s background is more mysterious, there’s a promise that we will learn more about it in the future. We meet many other characters; I’d love to see more from them.
While a lot is going on from different angles it’s organized and clear, and mostly fun. I loved Glenn and Arbon and the way they ended up together! We can enjoy both their pov’s.
The author created an interesting and attractive omegaverse world, I enjoyed it all very much.

Did I ever think that I would love omegaverse? No, I didn't. I just didn't think it was my jam, and that's okay. However, a couple - a few actually - of great authors completely changed my mind. And one of the biggest was Cora Rose with her first foray into omegaverse with Pit Stop last year. Wow! I hadn't really read anything like it, and it was phenomenal! I didn't think anything could top that, but her she came with The Den, the second in the Knot Wanted series, and it also knocked it out of the park!

This book followed Glenn, Skye's brother from the first book, and Arbor, as they engage in a little primal play in the forest of the Den. Arbor is part fae, and his scent enchants Glenn as they begin the chase. He knew he must have him and have him he does. Come Monday though, both Glenn and Arbor were in for quite the surprise as it turns out that Arbor is Glenn's new manager.

They both try to be professional and avoid their attraction, but it becomes too much for them to overcome. Abor wants to maintain the facade of manager and employee at work because he feels that he has something he needs to prove because he is half fae. He thinks he was placed on that job specifically because there has been some hub bub around the supposedly mystical work site that has been receiving a lot of bad press.

As Glenn and Arbor work through their relationship, there is a lot of backstories building - there's werewolves at Glenn's door, a fae that has been meddling in pack business with Red, and the fae that has somehow upended the work site in a mudslide. We also get to see some foreshadowing for Glenn and Skye's other brothers coming up. The next story is Forest as he is welcomed into the Crimson Howlers.

This was Glenn’s story, he is Skye’s brother from book 1. He is an alpha who participates in the Heat Hunt, when alphas chase down omegas in the forest and “help” them through their heats at The Den. When Glenn meets his omega that night, he is captivated by his sweet and sugary smell and different coloured eyes. When the Omega leaves before Glenn wakes up, he thinks it’s unlikely they will ever meet again as the hunt is anonymous.
When Glenn meets his new boss on the construction site, imagine how shocked he is to see those mismatched eyes!!
Arbor is an omega with something to prove. He wants to prove he is more than just an omega and he vows never to stay with any alpha and be trapped. When Arbor realises the construction foreman is none other than his Heat Hunt Alpha, he is shocked. And these two struggle to keep their hands to themselves despite saying they should.
I loved the back and forth between Arbor and Glenn and I liked that it was the omega that was in the wrong and grovelling in this book, when it so commonly the alpha. The undertones of mystery surrounding the Fae, the Howlers and the random werewolves Glenn adopts all comes together to build a gripping story that plays out to the last page. Looking forward to reading the next book about Forest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

‼️SPOILERS‼️

From the first very first chapter, I was completely hooked by Arbor and Glenn’s story from the moment that the omega he laid his eyes upon is a man. He was also drawn by his scent when usually, alphas don’t like it.

The protectiveness when Vince made his appearance - I was here for that scene! The way at that he showed his omega how much he wanted him made me yearn for more.

I felt for Arbor for a point because he did something that made Glenn really upset. The groveling that he does was super cute but poor Glenn wasn’t having it. Eventually, he gave in, especially when he saw his condition.

I loved all the side characters especially the three guys that popped up. That whole scene of Glenn feeding them had me giggling.

I love how Cora’s omegaverse brings in different supernatural elements that makes you want so much more in this world. I love how so much is happening that it keeps you interested in the story.

The ending makes you want the next book immediately because what in the world just happened? I knew that Forest story was going to be interesting but just…. Wow!

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

The Den is book 2 in the Knot Wanted series by Cora Rose. This book was unique to me because it has shifters, werewolves, non-shifrer ABO, and fae! I love that in each book we learn a bit more about all of the different types of characters. In The Den, we get Glenn and Arbor's story. Glenn is a non shifting alpha that signs up for the Heat Hunt and finds an Omega he desires on a primal level. When he wakes up he discovers that he is alone and the omega is nowhere to be found. Until he arrives at work and meets his new boss. Arbor is the new superintendent on the job and discovers the alpha he left behind is none other than his employee. Arbor reveals more about himself throughout the book but one thing is for certain, they can't seem to stay away from one another. Hot AF chemistry, a possibly cursed job site, pesky werewolves, and a heap of magical mystery will have you turning page after page! I can't wait for book 3 so we can learn more about these characters and the fae!

I've been waiting for this one to release ever since reading and loving Pit Stop. I finished it really quickly and loved this one too (although not quite as much). I liked the role reversal of an Omega boss and Alpha subordinate, as well as some sex scenes where they switch roles and the Alpha is more submissive. Arbor is prickly and a bit closed off and has a lot of insecurities. I liked how these played out and how there was a *second* act breakup/conflict with plenty of time to work through their issues before the HEA.

The only thing I didn't like was the ending. There's a sort of weird cliffhanger - not about the romance, but related to another plot. I didn't realise this would be a series with an overarching plot, and I don't love that. Also they >!didn't bond until the epilogue, which felt a bit late - personally I think that should have been part of the main story!<

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as Pit Stop. I felt like the world-building and introduction of so many new elements and characters ended up overshadowing the actual story.

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it. I just wasn’t expecting so many new things to be introduced in this book, and it makes me a little nervous about what future books in the series will look like. I also felt like some of the setup for future couples in Pit Stop was rewritten here. That said, maybe I was just hoping for, and projecting pairings I wanted to see.

There was a lot of smut, but after Pit Stop I kind of expected that would be the case. No complaints. Cora does write excellent spice.

I’m still excited for the next book in the series. And the bonus chapter for Forest’s book? Total WTF moment.
