He’s the ruthless MC president. She’s the ink-stained artist who refuses to be owned.
Rina Hale built her life on independence—her tattoo shop, her rules, her body. But when Gabriel “Gabe” Cross, the Iron&Oath’s brooding, possessive president, sets his sights on her, their world ignites. He’s twice her age and her brother’s boss, a man who claims loyalty with a fist and loves with an obsession that burns everything in its path.
Their connection is a war: age gap tension, explosive chemistry, forbidden touches in shadowed hallways, and club loyalty that could destroy them both. When a rival MC threatens her business and Gabe’s leadership, Rina becomes the club’s most dangerous liability—and its greatest temptation.
With betrayal, forced proximity, and explosive secrets at every turn, Rina and Gabe must choose: sacrifice the club or surrender to a love that could ruin them.
Perfect for readers who crave possessive antiheroes, fierce heroines, and raw, unfiltered MC romance with high stakes, high heat, and no easy answers.
Frankie Fox writes steamy contemporary romance with a taste for fast-burn passion and emotionally charged characters. Her novels blend small-town settings and alpha heroes, delivering high-heat, character-driven stories.
This is a really good age gap motorcycle club story. Gabe, the MC Prez is twice Rina's age. She's a smart, smexy tattoo artist and the tension between them is like fire and ice. But Gabe wants her and he won't stop until the fire between them is undeniable. This is a wonderful tension filled spicy and suspenseful story. I loved it.
I devoured this one about Gabe and Rina. These two were amazing. It’s definitely something that grabs you and you’re just not going to put it down until you’re finished. It owns you until you reach the end. And even then, you want more.
I heard that this book is a new direction taken by Frankie Fox in her MC Romance novels, and I was immediately intrigued. MC Romance is my favorite and I’ve read it in every intensity between “Mentions once that he’s a biker; parks his sports bike in the driveway” to “MC is so hardcore that it’s really scary and now I have to sleep sitting up gripping my baseball bat”. And I’ve found a lot of great ones across this spectrum. I’ve also found some duds, but that is certainly not the case here. No, this one was “The MC is his life but probably not his death” level, featuring a 1% MC with some misogyny, but not super hardcore scariness towards women. It certainly is a departure for Fox, and on the whole, I think a successful one. The violence is not gratuitous, but rather used as an effective tool to further the story goals. The things that didn’t work were few. First of all, the enemy MC is named Rival MC, and at that point, you might as well just name the main villain Bad Guy. Second, enough of the MC members have made it clear that being in a relationship is incompatible with the MC. This book sets a precedent for what a character must do in this series order to be with his woman, and that’s going to stagnate MC growth. Rina, a master tattoo artist, is vital and independent, frankly, a pleasure to read. She and her brother, Knox, VP of the MC, have a discussion about what happened to the previous president’s woman: that woman was important to the MC and a big part of it until suddenly she wasn’t. Knox implores Rina not to lose herself to be with Gabe. I thought that was an interesting conversation. But being with Gabe, the MC president, doesn’t weaken her: rather, he enhances her. He doesn’t expect her to sublimate herself to fit in with the MC. This blows the MC’s collective mind. A faction of the MC looks at this as proof that Gabe is becoming weak, that even falling for a woman is making him weak and distracted. Personally, I don’t see it, and I don’t see an MC that only works as Peter and the Lost Boys and falls apart at the idea of a Wendy as being sustainable. Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include violence, misogyny, language. TROPES include Age Gap, Tattoo You, Club Prez, Off Limits, Friends to Lovers, Brother’s Coworker, J/P Hero, Forced Proximity.
I felt the tension in the story was built in such an amazing way. The chemistry between Gabe and Rina was electric, so well written and completely satisfying. I felt that Gabe in particular, had such a presentence, and it was so incredible getting to experience that kind of character.
This was my first time reading MC concepts from Frankie, prior to this, I had only read some of her "small town romances", however, my attention was fully captured from the very beginning.
This story was gritty in places, but I believe it was very tender and romantic too. I enjoyed the contrast of this very much.
I adore motorbikes and MC scenarios, in this story, I thought the world building and exploration was so well done, it left me wanting more as soon as I was done reading.
The more I read of Frankie's work, the more intrigued I am. I'm so excited to read more from her.
(I received this book as an Arc, thank you so much Frankie)
Talk about starting off a new series with a bang! This was beyond phenomenal! As soon as I started reading, I realized anything I had on schedule for the day was canceled because this was one of those novels that you absolutely don't stop until you're finished! It wraps you in its tendrils and holds tight until the very last word. It owns you!
I loved the characters of Gabe and Rina. They were perfectly written, had unbelievable chemistry, and the spice was chef's kiss. The world building was exceptional and practically immersive, and the storyline hooks you from the start, living rent free in your head long after you've completed the book.
I can say this is a collection of word mastery in a single novel. It draws you in while leaving a part of itself with you because it truly is that unforgettable! Loved! Loved! Loved!
Rina runs a tattoo shop and is a master tattoo artist. She also is a powerful female lead l and independent. She and her brother, Knox, VP of the MC, talk about what happened to the previous president’s woman. He mentions how that woman had been important to the MC until she wasn’t.
Knox begs Rina not to lose herself in Gabe. Her being with Gabe, the MC president, doesn’t weaken her. He ends up enhancing her. He doesn’t expect her to change in order for her to fit in with the MC. There's a faction of the MC that views her actions as proof that Gabe is becoming weak. They see his falling for a woman is makes him weak and distracted.
How will Eden and Gabe resolve their issues surrounding them?

Rina runs the local tattoo parlor and although her brother is a member of an MC, she has managed to remain neutral. Gabe is the president of her brothers MC and kept an eye on her for years. When a rival MC tries to take over, Gabe steps up and decides to take things to the next level with Rina. This is a super steamy, action packed book with internal drama with the MC. I loved that Rina was a strong FMC and didn't let the alpha male walk all over her. Great start to the series!.

DNF. Strange depiction of an MC. Prez is challenged at every turn by his club. Club girls are referred to as “parlor girls”. What is this, the 18th century? Excessive and repetitive scene descriptions to the point were every time they walked into the clubhouse, we got a rundown of the same smells (beer, sweat, old leather), the mugshots and photos lining the walls… We got it after first 3 times!! 😣 Same with the neon lights of the tattoo parlor and the constant rain…
Let the dishes pile up and wait to be done because you are going to want to read this book NOW and not wait a minute longer. Gabe and Rina are excellent characters in this excellent romance book by Frankie. So, if you want to devour and you will want to devour this book make sure it's in your kindle because HOLY SMOKES it is definitely well written. I am ready for book number 2.
She is a tattoo artist with her own business. He is the president of MC and attracted to her. Enjoyed how their relationship developed. Add in rival gang, secrets, betrayals and you have a very engrossing story. Thoroughly enjoyable read.
