Ik ben echt onder de indruk van deze The Visions uit de Marvel Premier Collection. Ik heb wel Wandavision gezien, maar dat is wel nog net iets anders dan wat je met The Visions krijgt. Deze The Visions werd geschreven door scenarist Tom King en getekend door Gabriel Hernandez Walta. Samen leveren ze een erg sterke comic af waarin we een dieptragisch verhaal rond Vision te zien krijgen. Visions is al decennialang een Avenger en toch is dit een erg originele kant van het verhaal, ondanks de vele verhaallijnen rondom hem. Vision is in The Visions op zoek naar een normaal leven en bij dat leven hoort voor hem een gezin. Daarom creëert hij voor zichzelf een vrouw Virgina en twee kinderen Viv en Vin. Samen vestigen ze zich in een Amerikaanse buitenwijk. Eerst begint het verhaal als een doodgewoon familieverhaal maar al snel krijgen we en verhaal dat iets wilt vertellen over wat het is om mens te zijn, wat onze identiteit kenmerkt en hoe tragedie in dit verhaal steeds dichterbij lijkt te sluipen. Het is steeds spannend en ook de tekenstijl is erg origineel. In deze Marvel Premier Collection worden de twaalf delen gebundeld en ik zou zeggen haal het in huis. Het is een verhaal dat het gegeven comic ontstijgt. Het laat zien dat een comic meer kan zijn dan zomaar wat actiehelden die de wereld willen redden.
