This book was pretty average. It could have used quite a bit of expanding with the plot, as it's barely 200 pages long after you take out the fluff at the end.
The MC starts off the prologue as a paramedic that is in a fight with a female troll that has two silicone slimes as breast implants. While fighting them off (with a scalpel he pulls from his medic bag... no paramedic carries a scalpel) he pops one of the slimes, and eventually manages to defeat the troll, then gets recruited to become a low level guarding to help protect again the fae incursions. Then a 3 year time skip to the start of the story.
He now has the lone slime "boob" as his familiar, and is sent to hunt some vampires. Upon arriving, he runs into a hunter from other, less informed organization, and she's hotter than hot. They captivate each other as they fight together to survive. From that point on, her sexual innuendo is strong, and later that night she loses her virginity to him. They seem to be naturally in sync with each other.
The plot is fairly bare bones, since there's multiple sex scenes to get through in the 200 pages. The romance is minimal, and the sex scenes are decent. The MC has shown he can be guided by his manhood, since she teasingly manipulates him easily with a few words and naughty ideas.
I might read a sequel to this, but since I've read none of the surrounding stories, I don't feel beholden to reading more.

A great start to a new series
Disclaimer: I was a beta reader for this book.
A fantastic first entry for a great new serial that I hope continues for a while beyond the initial 6 entries. A great intro to the Fateforged universe with only hints at some of the system stuff going on in other series, making this a great simple entry point to the universe that you should definitely dive into.
All of the action of Supernatural and Buffy with the simple joys of friends like Scooby Doo, and a sprinkling of spice thrown on top to keep things interesting at the Waffle House, what more could you want? Giving off the gruff competence of all of your favorite problem solvers from fiction like Anita Blake and Harry Dresden, watch Nick get his life turned upside down with a chance encounter outside of a club, only to find new career opportunities that lead to meeting a cheerleader with a secret of her own.
Definitely grab the Discord link mentioned in the book because when the audio of this was being recorded, it was done live in the server, and get more Hex Kitten goodness as well.

Great start
Another great entry from these authors. All have great series to get into. I just started in Dalton Demon Hunters universe. Neil's new Paradise Rift series is going to be amazing. I have not gotten into Adam Lance's stuff yet but im sure once I get to dark city girls I will have nothing but positive stuff to say. Its a great time to be a harem lit enjoyer.

A fun ride!
This one went quick. I wanted more story and more interaction between Nick and Tiffany. I really enjoyed this one and am looking forward to the next book. The story was fun and had a good amount of humor and joking between the characters.

a bit evil dead, Buffy, and supernatural with lots of innuendo and action thrown in. might even find the Velma your looking for.
