Loving her means standing beside her, not deciding which truths she can bear.
Sadie Hollister has built her reputation on making hard calls, even when they threaten her family’s name. When an injured steer uncovers forged records and buried secrets, she refuses to look away. The deeper she digs, the harder it becomes to separate loyalty from truth.
Dallas Miller has spent years beside her, steady and patient, never asking for more than she could give. He knows how to hold the gate, calm the stock, and stay close without crossing the line. But as pressure mounts and old feelings surface, restraint becomes harder to justify.
One touch breaks years of silence. One kiss changes a friendship neither can ignore. Their desire burns hot, but the deeper shift comes when Sadie asks for honesty instead of protection, forcing Dallas to decide whether love means shielding her or trusting her to stand beside him.
As family expectations collide with conviction, Sadie chooses her judgment, her future, and the man who has quietly loved her for years. Dallas must stop measuring his worth by usefulness and believe he's wanted for more than the problems he solves.
Sadie stops carrying every burden alone and begins choosing what she wants. Dallas moves beyond defining himself through loyalty and service, accepting that he deserves love in return. Together, they turn years of trust, longing, and restraint into a partnership built on honesty, respect, and undeniable chemistry.
An ultra-steamy, friends to lovers, small town cowboy romance filled with slow-burn longing, family conflict, integrity, and protective devotion. It explores autonomy, loyalty, vulnerability, and the difference between being needed and being chosen. It’s about a woman who won’t compromise her values, a man who learns that love requires partnership, and a relationship built on standing side by side.
The Elevator Pitch: A principled rodeo veterinarian uncovers forged records and buried secrets that threaten both her family’s reputation and the town’s biggest event. As the mystery deepens, the quiet cowboy who has spent years at her side becomes the one person she can trust, forcing both of them to confront feelings neither has dared name. Between old loyalties, hidden truths, and a connection that refuses to stay buried, they must decide whether choosing each other is worth everything it could cost.
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥 Ultra-Steamy / Erotic Romance

I am so loving this series. Cowboy hotness, all the feels, sizzling tension, and heartfelt moments. Dallas was such a steadfast character which made my heart thump but his vulnerability won it over totally. Loved Sadie’s strength, integrity and perseverance. Small town small towning adds to the love journey. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. More revelations in the overarching plot and hints has me anticipating where the talented Eve London will take me next.

Will she ever see him as anything other than a very helpful man?
Sadie Hollister is the local veterinarian in Mustang Mountain that everyone relies on. Every year she's the vet for the 4th of July rodeo competition. Only this year there's a problem with some of the livestock provided for the rodeo. Certificates have been forged, and the stock provided is not fit to be used. She knows darn well that Dallas Miller, the man in charge of the rodeo stock, is not aware of or responsible for the forgeries. But who's cutting corners and risking both the cowboys and the stock?
Holt Hollister, Sadie's uncle, is the man in charge of the business end of the rodeo. He's a man who is accustomed to the Hollister name smoothing over any and all problems, but that won't work with Sadie. Hollister always tells her what she needs to do, while her father tells her what to do; these papers clearly show errors with brands, age, and certificate numbers—errors she can't excuse unless she wants to lose her license to practice.
She notices that Dallas stands quietly beside her while Holt is arguing with her that pulling these animals will harm the family name.
Dallas is the first man to ask her, "What do you need?" She also noticed that when he asked, he was right beside her and that his presence calmed her. Most men either stand behind her, in deference to her family name, or in front of her, as if to speak for her. It's both comforting and uncommon.
Dallas also informed her that Holt himself moved the animals to their assigned pens. This is most unusual, as he never does this himself: he has men to do that.
But after she realized how much Dallas had done for her, he messed up. Learning that the suspicious livestock may have been pastured on his land, Dallas went by himself to check it out. On the way he realized he should have brought Sadie with him, but he justified that it would take too long to return to town to get her, so he continued by himself. This deliberate decision cut Sadie to the core. How could Dallas of all people do this to her?
If this mess isn't already more than enough to deal with, there's the Kincaid family, the other prominent family in the area, looking to take down the Hollister family. Ay, ay, ay, what a mess!

Friendship and romantic feelings are finally blurring!
"July’s Cowboy Dallas" is the seventh book in the Cowboys of Mustang Mountain series. Dallas and Sadie have been friends for years, both secretly crushing on each other yet afraid to cross that line for fear of losing their friendship. When Dallas notices that one of the horses brought in for the rodeo is injured, he immediately calls Sadie, the local veterinarian.
As they investigate further, they uncover several forged certificates, which means that all the animals must be pulled from the rodeo immediately. Questions will arise, and people will want answers. To make matters worse, they discover that Sadie’s family might be involved in the forgery, putting her family’s reputation at risk.
Throughout this ordeal, Dallas stands by Sadie’s side, providing her with strength and support. When they finally stop denying their feelings for each other and express how they truly feel, it feels like coming home, and their relationship becomes passionate and steamy.
I am completely hooked on this series; the drama only gets better with each installment, and the suspense surrounding the feud between the families and the forgery continues to build!

I've been looking forward to this book since it was teased at the end of last book and it was a great read! This book definitely felt like the MC's had more chemistry than some of the other ones and also a sense of yearning which I loved. Sadie stood her ground and Dallas was right there to back her up, a silent and steady presence that always knew what she needed. Their dynamic was interesting to see and it made for the break in control to be that much sweeter. I wish these men would communicate properly though, so much of these hurt feelings and distances throughout all the books would be fixed by that. But they are cowboys, so I get that they don't really do feelings. This one had a bit of suspense and a good subplot that kept it interesting. I also really don't like Holt Hollister and feel like there should have been more consequences with that whole situation. There was some repeated sentences that took me out of the story a bit, but overall not too many editing issues. No cheating or OM/OW drama, condom use, some push and pull, dual POV, an assumed HEA and a chapter of the next book. Really looking forward to Addison and Braxton's book. I've been missing the OTT obsessed MMC's and hoping he is one after his first look!

As Dallas continues to do his job at the rodeo on Mustang Mountain, he is noticing more and more problems. Finally, he calls the veterinarian, Sadie Hollister. However, that brings the rest of her family into play, because the animals in question, came off their trailer. Arguments ensue, and Dallas and Sadie’s brother sides with her. These arguments had been going on for a while now, as her family believes that she should side with them over her duties as a vet for the events at the rodeo. Dallas has always had feelings for her, but he has always believed that he couldn’t act on them. She has had feelings for him as well. We find out this as we read.
I think that Dallas and Sadie are perfect for each other. There are a bunch of revelations that made me very angry. There are secrets that have been around for a long time and they are coming to light. A lot of answers in this book. Dallas and Sadie are romantic and steamy and hot together. I love how the problems are solved in the book and how they handle stuff. In the end we find out something else. One of Sadie’s friends is in trouble and Orville calls Braxton home to deal with it. I can’t wait.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dallas and Sadie were everything I wanted in a friends-to-lovers romance! Their years of friendship created such a strong foundation, making their transition into something more feel completely natural and worth the wait.
Dallas is the kind of dependable, protective cowboy that’s impossible not to love. Whether he’s helping Sadie through late-night emergencies or standing beside her when danger starts closing in, he’s always there. I loved how he never stopped believing in her, even when her own family made things difficult.
The mystery involving the forged livestock papers added just the right amount of suspense without taking away from the romance. Watching Dallas and Sadie work together only made their connection stronger, and once they finally admitted their feelings, the chemistry was undeniable.
This was a heartwarming, engaging romance filled with loyal characters, small-town charm, and a hero who proves that sometimes the best love story starts with friendship. Another wonderful visit to Mustang Mountain.

Dallas Miller and Sadie Hollister had been friends for years each waiting for the other to show a sign they wanted more than friendship in their relationship, but they each were to good at covering their desires. They were both working the 4th of July Rodeo when Dallas noticed a steer with a bad leg, so he called in Sadie the event veterinarian. She checked the animal out only to discover that it's paperwork did not match up. She had no choice but to pull it from the rodeo, which upset her Uncle Holt greatly. That animal's records not matching sent her on a search to check the records of all the animals that came in on that load. The mystery and intrigue really began build at that point with several more forged records, and where animals came from. Sadie always appreciated that Dallas stood beside her in everything she untook during the investigation. There was a great lead in for the next book, I cannot wait for.

I completely loved this trip back to Mustang Mountain! Dallas and Sadie have the kind of friends-to-more chemistry that feels warm, real, and easy to root for from the very beginning. He’s steady, protective, and patient, while Sadie is brave, loyal, and determined to do what’s right—even when it puts her in a tough spot with her family.
The rodeo setting and the secrets surrounding Mustang Mountain gave the story just the right amount of tension without taking away from the romance. I especially enjoyed how Dallas and Sadie’s trust in each other grew into something deeper, sweeter, and impossible to ignore.
If you enjoy small-town cowboy romance, loyal heroes, strong heroines, a little mystery, and a love story that feels both tender and satisfying, this one is an easy five-star read. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Cowboys of Mustang Mountain series!.

July's Cowboy Dallas by Eve London is a well-written, friends to lovers, small-town romance that is an engaging read from start to finish. Sadie Hollister and Dallas Miller have been friends and colleagues for years. They continue their path of work and life as their friendship remains constant. However, as conflicts are thrown their way, their friendship, support of each other, and connections deepen. They both soon realize that their friendship may be the basis of an even stronger connection than friendship. As they move through the conflict, surrounding mystery, family, and friends, they journey to find their happy ever after. I love both Sadie’s and Dallas’s dedication to their crafts and their friendship and all the heart-warming emotions of their relationship. July's Cowboy Dallas is a highly recommended addition to the Cowboys of Mustang Mountain series.

Sadie is the vet for Mustang Mountain which also includes helping at the rodeo competition. This does not get off to a good start as not only is one of stock injured but the accompanying paperwork is questionable. She knows she needs to do what is right despite the concerns her family has and appreciates that her friend Dallas is there for support.
The feelings that Dallas has for Sadie are deeper than friends, but this is a line he hasn’t crossed. Even though others have always tried to protect her he has always considered her his equal as he knows that is what she wants. As they investigate the mystery surrounding the rodeo they also investigate their feelings as well until he makes a misjudgment they may not be able to overcome.
The combination of family tension, a town that knows everyone’s secrets, a mystery and a romance between two friends who finally acknowledge how they really feel about each other makes this an entertaining story.

Another piece of the puzzle, a feud that’s not a feud, a rodeo and a town watching.
Sadie has been managed by the men in her family. The Hollister name and legacy protected. Doing her job could mean trouble for the family. Her deciding that there is a line she is not willing to cross.
Dallas there as always, beside her, not in front, not following, opening gates and not allowing himself to touch. Their friendship has always been there, steady and calming.
A snap in the restraint, insecurities, a moment of fear disguised as protection.
Dallas stepping up to admit his mistakes and support Sadie.
“You keep thinking you're the man holding the gate, But you're the one I look for before I walk through it.”
For the first time in years, Dallas Miller looked at me like he almost believed he was allowed to be wanted.

Sadie Hollister is the town vet. And she's also responsible for the rodeo animals they're using and the competitions. Dallas is always been the catcher in the rodeos once he stopped going in the circuit. He's always been beside all this time. The problem is he's always stopped. Stopped what? Well, pushing the hair from her face, explain the possible affection that will tell her how he feels about her. But this Hollister mystery it's still the underlying story as all our Cowboys are finding and admitting their true special woman. Family drama/ conflict is always around. It is a good read and could definitely be read as a standalone. I don't know how many Cowboys are left in Mustang Valley but I'm sure we'll find some more who is coming into town! This was a very good read.

This is book 7 in the Cowboys of Mustang Mountain Series and is about Dallas and Sadie.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters. Dallas is more on the quiet side and Sadie talks more. They balance each other out. Dallas isn’t from the Kincaid or Hollister family so he seems to think he should stay in the shadows and be there and help but never receive credit. Sadie is a Hollister and she doesn’t believe this for one minute. She knows Dallas is capable and wants him to open his mouth more. He lets other people take the credit and she doesn’t like that.
They have been friends for years but they each want more. Dallas keeps second guessing himself though.
Will Dallas ever make the move? Will Sadie get tired of waiting?
Of course we have the mystery still giving us new clues. That started in book 1 and has continued this far. I like that too.

Dallas has always been a solid person in Sadie's life. Someone she can count on. Someone who supports her, who is there when she needs him, the man who is secretly in love with her and doesnt know what to do with it. He knows the place he has always occupied and doesnt dare shift out of that. Then chaos, mystery and scandal make its way to the rodeo landing Sadie smack dab in the middle of it all and Dallas will do everything he can to stand by her side 🫠. I loved that Sadie wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. While she wasnt looking for a fight, she also wasn't backing down from it even if it meant squaring off with her own family. Intensity is heating up in Mustang Mountain and next month is looking to be even more so 👀.

Finally
When Mustang Mountain decides to go all in then nothing is going to stand in their way! The rodeo is case in point. Dallas is the quiet, hunky, steady cowboy that everyone knows and respects. What the town also knows is that he will always stand beside, not in front of, Sadie. When Sadie gets placed between a rock and a hard place she knows where Dallas is and isn’t. What this story tells us is about the family feud between the Kincaids and Hollisters along with what that means for the rodeo. Following the drama, intrigue and chemistry is a roller coaster ride that will leave you smiling and anxiously awaiting the next installment! Thanks Eve but hurry up with the next book about Addison!

Dallas has spent years being Sadie's steady, dependable friend—the man she calls when the work gets messy, dangerous, or late‑night. Sadie, Mustang Mountain’s trusted rodeo vet, has always matched his loyalty with her own quiet devotion. Their bond feels lived‑in, shaped by countless barn calls, storms, and shared responsibility. When Dallas discovers an injured steer whose paperwork doesn’t match. Sadie’s investigation uncovers forged certificates, mismatched brands, and buried records—evidence that threatens the Fourth of July Rodeo and puts her at odds with her powerful family. This gives Dallas the chance to stand beside her in a way that’s deeper than friendship. Will they finally see that what they feel is more than friendship?

Oh my gosh ; this series ( this entire series , I’m just 100% in love and obsessed with every single thing about it . The characters/ couples, this awesome world that Eve has so brilliantly created . I genuinely cannot get enough . This time around we get Sadie and Dallas’s story and it was so much fun to watch them fall . To watch them finally work up the nerve to tell one another how they feel . After years of being best friends and harboring more than friendly feelings for one another . I was not prepared for how their story was going to touch my heart so completely and have me smiling, laughing, crying and cheering so freaking hard .

It's time for the rodeo on Mustang Mountain, and Sadie is the veterinarian in charge of checking all the animals. Dallas works there, and he finds animals who need Sadie. This is a pitiful description of how this book starts, but the plot is fantastic. There are things happening that have connections to the past. All the while, Dallas and Sadie are finally giving in to the attraction that is between them. This is a great book! There is suspense, spice, and a perfect HEA. There is also a tiny cliffhanger, so now I can't wait till the next book!

Dallas and Sadie have been friends for years. He’s always been the constant she could rely on. As she searches for the truth in forged records, their feelings surface and they cross that line. Dallas must decide to trust in Sadie and share everything with her or not at all and risk losing her. Sadie has to make the choice between her family and her convictions and the man she loves. This is a very steamy friends to lovers, small town romance full of drama, family issues and a love and partnership worth being devoted to.

For years, the protagonists developed a ritual of how to behave around each other with underlying feelings, not discussing or admitting them. It's sad how, because of a few personal involvements, their differing points of view and unexpressed personal feelings changed things between them for the worse. It's good that in the end, they have some kind of understanding.
Why risk bad stock at a rodeo if not to sabotage?
Looking forward to finding out what's really happening with the frauds and secrets of the past.

The rodeo has come to Mustang Mountain and the problems are increasing. Animals are at risk, reputations are at risk and there is discord and disagreements wirhin the Hollister family members. As vet, Sadie has more concern for her reputation and the animals than the Hollisters, but someone is determined to railroad through it all..but her decisions count above others. Subterfuge is not pretty and there is more involved than first thought, but Dallas has been her constant presence. Threats risk the rodeo, but this couple can manage it, once he understands things better.

Sadie is a vet and has been friends with Dallas for years, the pair have never moved beyond friends, even though they both want more. When Dallas notices one of the newer animals has something wrong with his leg, he calls Sadie to come look at it. If you read the others in the series, you know about the forgery of animal’s papers, the pair delve further into what is going on. Her uncle wants her to drop everything, but she is determined to find out what is going on. Feelings heat up as the pair look to solve what is going on and who is responsible.

Sadie is a vet and a Hollister. When Dallas finds an injured steer, they find more than that. The certificates don’t match; a horse’s age has been falsified. She has to pull out 6 animals for the Fourth of July Rodeo. Dallas is always beside her, always helping her and supporting her.
They feel more than friendship for each other, but they can’t risk losing what they have. They had hidden it for years until one day they couldn’t wait any longer.
This was a sweet story with a mystery running through it.

Let the mystery be solved! Falsified certifications and paperwork not exactly correct. Sadie and Dallas are on a mission to figure out what’s going on and who’s responsible.
Sadie is Mustang Mountain’s vet for the rodeo. Her and Dallas are friends. He calls her for a horse with a hurt leg. It seems the timeframe is off on when it was hurt. What is going on. The Rodeo is just days away. In the meantime, it seems Sadie and Dallas are also hiding some feelings for each other. Will they act on them even with everything going on? Wait til you find out!

3.75 - 4 stars.
I liked that Sadie stood up for what she believed in, that no matter what it would cost her or what the unknown consequences would be, she did not let anyone pressure her or tell her what to do. I liked the connection and chemistry between her and Dallas, that they were able to work through things and the support they had in this, I also liked getting yet another clue to the feud and the history that was slowly coming to light.

Loved this story and getting more story about what's happening in Mustang Mountain. This month we see some rodeo stock that's been forged, learn more about Cedar Draw and watch two long time friends finally take that extra step to become more. What I loved about this couple was how Dallas stands beside Sadie and supports her as an equal, except for one small judgement error, and doesn't try to control her. I also enjoyed who she's the one who makes the first steps and controls their friendship moving into a relationship. It was nice to see an empowered woman in a story.

Sadie and Dallas are friends who have been secretly crushing on each other for years, but neither wanted to lose their friendship, so they kept their feelings to themselves. While working at a rodeo together, an injured animal sparks fly between them the more time they spend together. This is a small town, friends to lovers romance that is a great read and a wonderful addition to the Cowboys of Mustang Mountain series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
