Loved Addison and Braxton
Addison needs a bodyguard for the Royal Rodeo. Braxton James is the man hired to protect her. While he’s trying to solve who is threatening her it all goes back to Cedar Draw. One crime gets solved and we still aren’t aware of what Cedar Draw really is. Fascinating read, intriguing and fast paced plus a great romance too. Loved Addison and Braxton together and still waiting for all the pieces to come together. Excellent story.

When it comes to light that Addison has been receiving threatening texts and pictures for the past few months, the only person fit for the job of keeping her safe is Braxton. From the moment Braxton arrives at the rodeo, he realizes Addison is not going to be an easy case, as she is determined not to change her schedule. While Braxton genuinely wants to protect her from the unknown threats, the messages keep coming.
As they grow closer, the tension between Addison and Braxton intensifies, and sparks start to fly. They both begin to lower the walls they've built over time, allowing them to see each other for who they truly are. This connection helps them begin to heal from their pasts. What I love most is that Braxton shows Addison that she doesn’t always have to be on stage; it’s okay to be her true self.
I also enjoy the playful banter between Addison and Braxton, as she certainly doesn't make it easy for him with her sassy attitude. The more Braxton investigates the text messages, the deeper he delves into the mystery surrounding a family feud that has lasted for generations. The attempts to scare Addison away only make their story more compelling and harder to put down, adding an extra layer of drama to this standalone cowboy mountain-man romance, which is still part of an amazing interconnected series filled with suspense. I had such a fun time with August’s Cowboy Braxton! From the very first page, Eve London sets up a delicious mix of danger, heart, and cowboy charm that made me want to settle in and stay awhile on Mustang Mountain. Braxton’s protective streak is swoony in all the best ways, and Addison is exactly the kind of heroine I love—brave, stubborn, and full of spark.
The writing is warm, energetic, and packed with that irresistible “just one more chapter” pull. Eve London does a lovely job balancing suspense with tenderness, giving readers a romance that feels exciting without losing its heart. I especially enjoyed the chemistry between Braxton and Addison—the push, the protectiveness, the emotional walls, and the way their connection keeps getting harder to deny.

This one was my favourite book of the series so far! I've been missing the chemistry and the immediate knowing that someone was your person, that "mine" statement if you will, and Braxton had that down pat! I loved how protective Braxton was and how fiercely independent Addison was too, it lead to some clashes but also some intense chemistry. They both gave into each other pretty quickly, which I appreciated, so it wasn't dragged out as much as some of the others. There was suspense, a possibly dangerous stalker and lots of emotions from the past that they both worked through together. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was him seemingly leaving her alone because emotions got so high. I know it wasn't as it seemed, but for a guy whose main objective is to protect her, he really put her in a lot of danger with that move. Some editing issues with spelling, but not enough to take me out of the story. This one held my attention all the way through, and we got to find out a few more pieces to the whole Hollister and Kincaid mystery. No cheating or OM/OW drama, dual POV, assumed HEA and an extra chapter from the next book. Hopefully we learn more about the feud in the next book, and I'm hoping it has the same sort of chemistry this book gave us with the MC's!

He is actually willing to listen and adapt, while she stands her ground and refuses to be bossed around. I also really appreciated her personal growth as she realizes it's okay to say "no" and unlearns what she was taught growing up.
However, this is my very first book by this author and my first in the series, and it is definitely not a standalone. Because I hadn't read any of the previous books, the sheer volume of side characters and unanswered questions had me constantly pausing to think, "Wait, what?" throughout the story. Without knowing who anyone is or understanding the overall plot, it was hard to fully enjoy. The potential is there, but you strictly need to read the rest of the series first to know what's going on!

Addison is a rodeo queen who has been taught to smile and not to show how she really feels and that includes the fear she is hiding because of the threats she has been receiving. When Braxton is hired to provide security she will agree however she isn’t about to let him deter her from appearing in her scheduled events.

What a relief that this story moved the mystery with the family feud by leaps and bounds. It has a lot of reveals in it, which also leads to more loose ends and questions, but only 4 more months to go before we'll get all the answers. I also really liked the enemies to lovers vibe between Braxton and Addison. Forcing them into close proximity really started to heat things up, but they still took their time as well, or at least it seemed that way. I didn't care for the way that Addison grew up learning to smile through the hard stuff in life and to not make a scene about it. When she gives a little girl the complete opposite advice at the end of the story, my heart melted. A character arc that showed tremendous growth.

Beauty Queen, Addison, is running herself ragged trying to make sure that Royalty Weekend goes off without a hitch but someone else has other plans. Threats, missing objects, misinformation and oh so much more leads to Addison having a bodyguard which Does Not sit well with her. Braxton could care less what Addison wants as long as he can keep her safe but that’s proving to be harder than he expected. Who’s behind everything that’s coming out and will the town figure out the mystery surrounding Mustang Mountain? I definitely can’t wait for the next book.

This was another engaging read for the series and I love how Addison and Braxton worked their way together. She's a rodeo queen, used to smiling and hiding what she's really feeling. However, threatening texts bring a whole new level of fear. Braxton is hired to protect her and he is all-in, taking those threatening texts much more seriously than she is... Expect to get caught up in the banter, emotions, drama, danger, character growth and hot chemistry as these two work their way to a fab HEA. We do get more of the puzzle in this installment but there is more to come - and I can't wait ;D

Braxton, works securty and doesnt do well in crowds or dealing with unpredictability, but beauty queen Addison attracts crowds and is totally unpredictable, and has gained a stalker. And with just one look Braxton knew she was his. Addisons smiles through life, the bigger the smile the less people saw the true feelings reflected, but Braxton sees right through all her smiles, and that scares hers the most. Well written the story and characters draw you in with steamy desires, mystery, suspense and more!

Another great addition to this wonderfully written series. The plot thickens. I highly recommend starting from the first book to enjoy the underlying storyline but it can be enjoyed as a standalone. The tension with chemistry between Braxton and Addison starts sizzling on their first meeting. The suspense kept me riveted. I loved watching their relationship unfold while facing mystery and danger. Always a good read from the talented Eve London. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Cannot wait for Travis and Kaycee!

I am loving this round of time on Mustang Mountain. I am so invested in all of the history and drama surrounding this rodeo. Braxton and Addison's story judt heated things up. More information comes out, which means more pieces of the puzzles, but I still have questions and can't wait for more. Speaking of more... Travis is next and I am so curious to see what this former trouble maker has to do with all of this.

I'm loving this series because even though each book is about a different couple, there's a mystery that started at the beginning and we get new clues each month.
This is book 8 of the series and is about Rodeo Queen, Addison and her security\protector Braxton.
He's serious and wants Addison to do what he says, she's independent and stubborn so she doesn't listen to him. Can he convince her before its too late? Will he get there in time to save Addison from the bad person?

Addison started off as just a client, but soon she becomes more. To Braxton, she soon becomes everything.
I enjoyed seeing them piece the past together bit by bit, and there’s still a lot to unravel. The romance was heartfelt and the suspense kept things interesting. I can’t wait for Travis’ book next.

Braxton lived in Mustang Mountain years ago and is back to guard Addison from a stalker. She is the rodeo queen and is getting many messages that are escalating. He takes her to his family farm and is now her shadow. Can he save her? Great novel that is part of a series but can be read independently.

Things continue to get imteresting at Mustang Mountain as more secrets are unfolding. Addison is preparing for the big pageant at the rodeo and after uncovering an historic album and photograph threats begin. Braxton is called on to be her bodyguard. Things heat up between them as the threat gets closer and secrets get more interesting!

This was Addison and Braxton’s story. It starts out strong and stays that way throughout. The characters are great and stayed true to what they’re supposed to be doing. A little bit of suspense with what is happenings cute steamy scenes and a happy ending. Loved It

A suspenseful bodyguard romance within engaging characters in Addison and Braxton. Plenty of banter, danger and more mystery that continues from the previous books in the series made this very enjoyable.
