ARC Review: Finding Sutton by Kristyn DeMaster ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Book Sirens for letting me read this early 🖤
Finding Sutton is one of those stories that slowly pulls you in and then refuses to let go. With an emotional core and a strong focus on healing, identity, and love, this book delivers a heartfelt journey that feels both raw and real.
Sutton is such a compelling character -watching her navigate her past while trying to figure out who she is and what she wants had me completely invested. The character development is definitely a highlight here, and the relationships (romantic and otherwise) feel layered and authentic.
And Ry? Honestly, every woman healing from bad past relationships wants someone like him. He’s patient, understanding, and so accepting of Sutton, even while navigating his own emotions and struggles. That balance made him feel incredibly real- not perfect, but exactly what Sutton needed.
The romance builds at a steady pace, giving you just enough tension and payoff to stay hooked without feeling rushed. It leans more emotional than spicy, but the connection between the characters is undeniable and beautifully written.
At times, the pacing dipped slightly in the middle, and I found myself wanting a bit more intensity in certain moments. But overall, the story still hits where it matters, leaving you with that satisfied, slightly emotional book hangover.
Overall: A touching, character-driven romance with depth and heart- perfect if you love stories about self-discovery and second chances

When a handsome construction worker steps in to help Sutton get away from her hostile ex-boyfriend, she hopes to see him again, but does not expect that he will be her new PT client. And when Jason Rycker, Ry, falls off a ladder thinking about the pretty brunette he met in the parking lot, he is pleasantly surprised when she is his physical therapist. Now that they have met officially, they have to get through his therapy without crossing the professional line. The story is a fun, romantic story as Sutton and Ry get to know each other in their limited interactions while trying to keep it professional. I was introduced to this author and series by the Hidden Gems ARC service, from which I have received the books. Although you do not have to read the prior books to appreciate this story, I would recommend them because of the strong role the family plays in the plot. One more book in the series to come, and I cannot wait for Ace’s story!!
I really enjoyed "Finding Sutton" by Kristyn DeMaster. Sutton and Ryker’s story is packed with slow-burn tension—the kind where every glance and bit of banter feels charged because they know they shouldn’t cross the line. The physical therapist/patient dynamic adds just the right amount of forbidden angst without feeling overdone.
Ryker is especially easy to fall for—charming, a little teasing, but with real depth underneath—while Sutton’s internal struggle keeps everything grounded and believable. I loved how the story builds patiently, letting the connection grow before finally giving in to it.
The added drama from Sutton’s past brings an emotional punch and keeps things from being too predictable. Overall, it’s a satisfying mix of tension, romance, and heart, perfect if you enjoy a “we can’t… but we really want to” kind of love story.

This was another sweet, spicy and thoroughly enjoyable book in the Blueprint For Love series. This time around Sutton meets Ry when he helps her with her ex, and then later they meet again when Ry shows up as a patient at Suttons’s PT clinic.
This was such a great story. Sutton and Ry had amazing chemistry, and their relationship was filled with so much tension. As therapist and client the two knew they should keep things professional. But with chemistry as strong as theirs it becomes impossible to resist.
The author has a really engaging writing style, and I love that the two main characters are just regular people with regular jobs. I’ve had more than enough of the whole alpha billionaire thing. Having two realistic, relatable characters was a welcome change.
I’ve really been enjoying this series and look forward to more from the author. Recommended.

This one pulled me in right away with a high-tension meet-cute and didn’t let go. Sutton and Ry have instant chemistry, but the real magic is in the restraint—the “we shouldn’t, but we want to” tension is so well done.
Sutton is easy to root for—strong, grounded, and trying to move forward despite a seriously shitty, boundary-less ex who keeps inserting himself where he doesn’t belong. That added layer of tension gives the story a bit of a darker edge and raises the stakes beyond just the romance.
Ry brings that protective, steady energy that balances her perfectly, and together they’re hard not to love. If you like workplace boundaries, slow-burn tension with payoff, and a protective MMC, this is definitely worth the read.
I could not put this book down. I even went back and reread the series before starting it (I love this family just as much now as I did the first time I read the series - if not more). I always just accepted Ry as part of this family. No questions. Hearing his story? I love him and this family more. He and Sutton are so perfect together. You could almost hear the puzzle piece click together when they finally got their moment. I love their story. I love them together. I love them together as part of this family. Their story is passionate and steamy and emotional. Sigh. I’m already excited to get Ace’s story.

This is a good contemporary, workplace romance book. Because of the workplace elements, it’s a slow burn / off limits type romance. The characters are well developed and the difficulties they go through are actually realistic and could be relatable.
This is the 4th book in this series but the first one I had read. I don’t feel that I had any issues with understanding the character relationships from not reading the prior books. I’ve added the rest of the series to my TBR list because I want to know the other characters full stories!
*I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A little bit of forbidden workplace, a seriously perfect book boyfriend, and a lot of drama with an ex-boyfriend - I loved Finding Sutton! Seriously, Sutton and Ry were endgame (to quote Emily). Ry was beyond perfect, and I loved Sutton’s character and style. I haven’t read all the books in this series, but I’ve read some and this is a great addition. The spice was a little lacking, I thought, and there was excessive use of the past perfect tense, which drove me a bit nutty, but overall, it was well done.

I absolutely love this book! Such a sweet addition to this series. The sparks fly between Rycker and Sutton for the first day they meet in the parking lot at work. Ry jumps in to protect Sutton from her past. From that moment on, they look for each other. They sesch the parking lot hoping to have another meeting. A few weeks later, Ry hobbles into the PT clinic where Rycker works. Romantically seeing a patient is off limits. As the sparks continue to fly, what will they do? Are they strong enough to wait until he is discharged as a patient? Will Sutton's past continue to be a problem? One click and find out if they find their HEA!
This was a great contemporary, workplace romance book. Because of the workplace elements, it’s a slow burn / off limits type romance. The characters are well developed and the difficulties they go through are actually realistic and could be relatable to people in real life. This is the 4th book in this series but the first one I had read, and I don’t feel that I had any issues with understanding the character relationships even though I haven't read any other books in the series. I’ve added the rest of the series to my TBR list because I want to know the other characters full stories! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Book 4 of the Blueprint for Love series. Can be read as a standalone.
'Finding Sutton is a steamy, slow burn, opposites attract, medical workplace romance. The story is told in dual POV with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA.'
The characters drove the storyline and they were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This was a fun read about a refreshingly green-light pair. It was my first book to read in the series, and now I want to go back and read the others. Although the book had plenty of tension, I really appreciated the lightness of the pair. They stuck to their values, even when it was hard. They found ways to grow close without crossing lines. And when they finally got together... I also love a book that cares about karma.
Many thanks to BookSirens for an ARC in exchange for my honest assessment of this work.
This was a slow burn temporarily forbidden romance due to Sutton being Ry’s PT instructor. This was such a great read and Sutton and Ry’s chemistry was so hot. There was plenty to keep you interested in the story and the characters were entertaining. My only criticism was that Ry was sickenly perfect! He seemed too good to be true at times. -A deeply emotional slow-burn romance about healing, identity, and finding love after hardship. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my impressions.
Sutton’s journey is raw and relatable, while Ryker’s steady, patient nature makes their connection truly shine. With strong tension, heartfelt moments, and authentic characters, this story leaves a lasting impact.
Sutton & Ry finding each other was a fluke. I loved the fact that Sutton was a very colourful person & Ry liked that about her & wasn't put off by it. Her ex Blake was a total douch bag..I really wanted Ry & his brother's to 'Sort him out'. Rys family are great additions to their story as well as Emily Suttons best friend. I wanted to know more about what happened to Blake so only have 4 stars. I received this as an arc & this is my honest review.
As soon as he walked into her office she knew she as in trouble. She knows sh should not go there so they both tried to stay professional but it is so hard. Just when he was no longer her patient her ex appears which could ruin it all. See if they bacons a couple I received an advance copy from hidden gems and a wonderful story
I believed in the connection and chemistry between these two, because of who they were to each other they had to do things differently, but I liked how they got to know each other whilst they waiting for the right time to be together. They had good support from friends and family and I liked seeing them together. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC from Hidden Gems.
This workplace romance is captivating and had me connecting with Ry and Sutton. Right from the beginning you can feel the pull between them as it builds throughout the book. I loved the story dynamics that had me cheering on Sutton and Ry to find their path to happiness.

Loved this! Awesome characters. Lots of fun action packed scenes. Banter and lol moments throughout. Character interaction was entertaining. Their journey together wasn’t without hurdles. Read in one sitting. It was that good!!
Such a great book!! Kristyn really knows how to write characters that make you either love them or hate them. Absolutely hate Dr. Blake Purcell!!! Love, love, love Ry and Sutton!!! Relationship goals!! Also loved Emily and Ry's family!!
