Cathy Wilcox's illustrations do a brilliant job of enhancing this delightful tale by Nette Hilton in which Annabella Jones tries to be a proper little lady. Does she succeed?

This was proper good read. Superbly suited for young missies who love dress ups, rough play and a bit of make believe in between. Classic narrative with plenty of opportunities for young readers to predict phrases and outcomes and thus become fully immersive in the language and story.
