My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover definitely doesn’t scream shifter to me. I would have loved to see their animal halves on the cover too :)
This book is around 200 pages of awesomeness, and this is the first book I’ve read by Bethany. But I’m at a loss as to why because I think I own all the Werewolf Wars books already, so I’m definitely going to make sure and read those soon too!! I loved this book from the chapter 1. It has so much action throughout the entire thing which everyone knows is my favorite kind of shifter book :) There are all sorts of hunters, shifters, fights, family drama, and so much more mixed in to keep you gripped in the story. It was a battle to put my book down when my mom wanted to run to the store and when I had to cook dinner.
Tess and Nate are both Alphas which is my favorite kind of lead because they are always strong and fierce which is how I love my main characters. I don’t like to give anything away in my reviews about plot because I do not want to ruin your adventure. I will say that Bethany does a fantastic job with her descriptions and plot that everything comes alive and you feel your heart speed up during fights or when fleeing. Both Tess and Nate are easy to fall in love with as characters, and I hope to see more of them as the series continues. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next!!
I highly recommend this book to my shifter lovin’ friends…you will not be disappointed :)

Tessa is werecat, Nate is a werewolf and right now their forbidden attraction is the least of their worries as they are pursued by Hunters in this exciting new paranormal romance series.
Wounded and on the run, Tessa receives help from Nate, who takes her to a safe haven to heal but her reception there is anything but welcoming and Nate may live at Sanctuary but that doesn’t mean he agrees with everything the council decides. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the emotional turmoil that follows as their instant attraction grows steadily stronger and these strong compelling characters certainly capture the reader’s interest as their personalities make it obvious that they are stronger together while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of suspense, excitement and passion.
There’s never a dull moment as this action packed story keeps our characters busy with fighting, surviving, running and confrontations with family and spine tingling anticipation builds as the danger escalates from the hunters only for Tessa and Nate to learn they may have more enemies than they thought. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination bringing the story to life and the well orchestrated events ensure that the reader can’t put the book down until they have read every last word.
The author has created a thrilling and edgy new world full of captivating characters, dangerous enemies and interesting elements that I was thoroughly caught up in from the very beginning and I can’t wait to read Xander and Eden’s story to find out what happens to them.

Okay to be honest I don't give very many reviews because I feel that I cannot be objective enough to express my opinion regardless of whether or not I liked the book. Every once in awhile though a book will be brought to my attention with an intriguing story line and engaging characters, Bethany Shaw's Sanctuary just so happens to be one of these books!
This was my first book by Ms. Shaw and it was truly an awesome read, I've always loved shifter novels and her's was no exception. It had to be one of the best shifter stories I've read in a while!
after my literary journey with Tess and Nate I found myself wishing for their happily ever after, They deserve it! I thought.
The emotions the author expressed in the story seem to leap out and wrap themselves around the reader, especially during scenes of suspense, there was a tenseness in some of the scenes that you could easily feel. Similar to when you watch a suspenseful movie and find yourself thinking Be careful guys!
The first chapter does a nice job of grabbing your attention from the very start, you can very easily feel Tess' emotions; her pain and fear, it's these emotions that keep you reading!

Tess Monroe has just been dealt an incredibly painful blow and now she's running for her life, however fate for the moment has decided to be kind, she's found temporary safety in the form of a place called Sanctuary but because of her werecat heritage and a long standing feud between werecats and wolves her reception is just shy of being ice cold.
She does however gain one ally, Nate a werewolf. Her attraction to him is not something she needs right now especially considering the fact that inter-species relationships are severely frowned upon at Sanctuary both by the council and by Nate's mother!
It isn't long before she gives in to her natural instincts, and as Tess desperately continues the search for the rest of her pride she is forced to rely on Nate for help, but with their enemies closing in on them and the discovery that one of Sanctuary's members is a traitor will she and Nate ever get a chance to see if their attraction can overcome the thoughts and feeling brought on by a decades old feud?

She is not very fond of their barbaric rules and customs that the council tries to enforce. She is finding it hard to stay positive the longer she can’t find her family.

Bing attacked finding and possibly losing her family what else could possibly go wrong?
They share something super special that everyone seeks but never real find. Being betrayed by one of their own what could be worse? Help from an unexpected source. Will they or wont they be accepted? Search and rescue missions are hard with a full team but with only two is it even possible?
The book was a fantastic read I had a hard time putting it down. I even missed some sleep to get as far as possible in a day. I cant wait for part 2 to see what happens next.

Ms. Shaw has a hit with this series!
Tess is on the run from Hunters, she was able to escape the attack on her pride of cat shifters, but she was injured and hopes that she can find some of her family alive... She stops at a bar hoping to get something to eat and rest a bit. Eden the bartender is so sweet to her, but something is off about her, she's a human, so why does she feel these vibes?
Little does she suspect that she is about to meet her mate and a very unlikely a one at that a wolf! She is taken to Sanctuary, a shelter for all kinds of shifters, but she is the first catshifter there and she is far from welcome.
Grant has been raised with the belief that he must mate a wolf at 25 which is 4 months away and a cat is definitely out of the question. The cat and wolf shifters have been sworn enemies forever, so how can he feel such an attraction to this spitfire Tess?
Will these two lovebirds finally give in to the attraction they feel for each other and how will they convince his mother and the counsel at Sanctuary that they are meant to be together.. they have such a deep rooted distaste for catshifters.
Tess and Grant leave Sanctuary in search of Grant's half sister Eden and his friend Xander who have been kidnapped by the Hunters and thus begins a seek and rescue mission for other shifters that have been taken by the Hunters.
Great story full of action. This is a very promising series, can't wait to read the next story in the Sanctuary series.

Paranormal, Shifter, Forbidden Romance Fans...READ THIS!!
This series just keeps getting better & better! I love how Shaw's characters always make me fall for them. It's crazy that she's able to do this with every book. This simply proves she has some mega skillz & ensures I keep coming back for more!
Sanctuary is different from the previous installments as we get a glimpse of many more shifter factions, but the Shaw magic ensures we enjoy every minute of it. Tess is a werceat, leopard to be precise, & Nate is a wolf. Decisions must be made as they soon realize their attraction toward each other is a big no no.
Having been split for decades thanks to a story no one seemed to have all the (accurate) facts for, causing a growing prejudice amongst the factions, the elders are not excited when the werecat arrives in Sanctuary. But...it just gets better fromt here as we find out there are traitors amongst them.
I definitely recommend this book (the whole series) to any shifter fans! There's a great mixture of paranormal, adventure, romance, suspense, & conspiracy.

This is the first book in a new shifter series with each story with its own HEA but with a continuing storyline. This story starts off with Tess, a Werecat, wounded and running for her life. She is being hunted by The Hunters, who hate all shifters and she stumbles into a bar being ran by a half shifter. Nate, a werewolf, is determined to help her even though there is a long standing feud between the two. Nate takes her to Sanctuary, a place were different species gather to hide from the world, but Tess is not welcomed because of what she is. Tess just wants to find her family while Nate just wants to save her. These two have an instant attraction but Nate knows his pack will not accept her and Tess knows this also. When the two leave to find Tess' family there is trouble and Tess and Nate are forced to take shelter where the attraction comes ahead. They soon learn that they are true mates and this can and will lead to problems. When Nate's sister is taken by the hunters, we learn there is a traitor in their mist. Will Tess and Nate have their HEA and will the find his siter before something bad happens?

I enjoyed this story immensely... I Love shifter stories and this one does not let you down. there is action from the minute you start reading...I didn't want to put it down.
this is the first story in a series - each story has its own HEA with the story continuing with each book. Going to enjoy seeing where the author takes this series.
this was Tess and Nate's story. Tess, on the run from The Hunters, is looking for her family; they were separated during the attack on her home by The Hunters. while she's running from danger and while injured she meets Nate. he helps her by taking her to his home, Sanctuary, for medical help. their attraction to each other is instantaneous.
Nate leaves Sanctuary with Tess to help her find her missing family. Their insane attraction soon comes to a head and they find themselves mated. With trouble around every corner how are they going to find her family and stay safe? needless to say it's an intense story and I loved reading Tess and Nate's story.
definitely looking forward to the next story!!

This is the first book in her new series and she has me hooked. Loved the characters and I'm a huge fan of shifters. Right from the beginning Tess a werecat is being hunted. Then from there we learn all about the shifter world. Hunters are trying their best to eliminate shifters any means necessary. Nate brings Tess to Sanctuary, but not a warm welcome for her because she's the only werecat and the wolves are holding back grudge from an old fuel, but nothing can stop the desire flaring between her and Nate. It's not good because mating with other species is frowned upon and forbidden according to the council at Sanctuary. Now Tess and Mate aren't just fighting hunters, but the desire for each other.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Bethany Shaw. This is book 1 of A Hunted Novel by the author.
A werecat and a wolf are forbidden to be together but after Tess Monroe is rescued from hunters by Eden, she finds herself attracted to Edens brother,Nate. Nate felt a sudden attraction to Tess but he was torn between his duty as a wolf and forbidden love.
The author has created great characters in this story and there is lots of action, betrayal and romance. I have read other books by the author and this is going to be a great series from what I read in this book.
This is for any mature paranormal romance book reader because of sexual content.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it was a home run for me. Once I started I could not put the book down and finished in just a few hours! I can't wait for the next book in the series and will definitely be checking out more books by Ms. Shaw in the future. I love almost any book with shifters in it and if it involves any type of cat shifters that is a bonus. To have cat & wolf shifters was great and to see them start to overcome so much in just this book alone makes me certain to want to read the rest of the series.

I loved this book. I can't wait for the next one. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes reading about shifters, romance and hunters. Nate and Tess are beautiful. I give the book 5 out of 5.

Sanctuary
I never suspected it was Ray working with the Hunters. I'm glad Nate and Tess helped rescue Nate's mom and stopped the Hunters. I can't wait to see what happens with Eden and Xander.

Good Story
I really liked this book. The varied types of shifters and their problems getting a long was an unusual story within this trope. This series is worth the read.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover definitely doesn’t scream shifter to me. I would have loved to see their animal halves on the cover too :)
This book is around 200 pages of awesomeness, and this is the first book I’ve read by Bethany. But I’m at a loss as to why because I think I own all the Werewolf Wars books already, so I’m definitely going to make sure and read those soon too!! I loved this book from the chapter 1. It has so much action throughout the entire thing which everyone knows is my favorite kind of shifter book :) There are all sorts of hunters, shifters, fights, family drama, and so much more mixed in to keep you gripped in the story. It was a battle to put my book down when my mom wanted to run to the store and when I had to cook dinner.
Tess and Nate are both Alphas which is my favorite kind of lead because they are always strong and fierce which is how I love my main characters. I don’t like to give anything away in my reviews about plot because I do not want to ruin your adventure. I will say that Bethany does a fantastic job with her descriptions and plot that everything comes alive and you feel your heart speed up during fights or when fleeing. Both Tess and Nate are easy to fall in love with as characters, and I hope to see more of them as the series continues. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next!!

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** This was a really great book to read, it pulls you in within the first chapter and keeps you going till the end. It’s really the second book in the series, with PurrFect Match being book 1. You do not have to read it in order to continue with Sanctuary but it will help you a little to understand some of the things that are going on, such as the hunters out to kill all shifters and how the family gets separated due to the hunters. Tess is one of the sisters in the Monroe werecat family who is on the run. She’s injured, looking for her family, and doing everything she can to stay away from the hunters that tore her family apart. She makes it to a bar and runs into a girl named Eden, who she ends up helping. Which in turn Eden calls on the help of her brother Nate to help Tess out. Werecats are known to be untrusted, so Nate just wants to get this job done and over with, along with everyone at Sanctuary. However, when you spend so much time with someone, you can’t help yourself when feelings come into play. Drama is around every corner of this book. Will Tess be reunited with her family? Will sparks fly between her and Nate, or will they let the old ways run their lives? With many twists and turns in the book, it will be hard to put it down! This was most definitely an excellent read!

Tess Monroe a werecat shifter on the run after her pride had been attacked by hunters. Wounded and trying to make her way to Ohio to meet up with any survivors. She stops to rest and eat. Eden the waitress where Tess stops realizes what Tess is and calls her brother Nate to let him know that there is a shifter and she is injured. Before Nate arrives Tess collapses. Nate takes Tess to Sanctuary a safe haven for shifters. Well all shifters but werecats. There is a lot of bad blood between the werewolves and the werecats. Nate and Tess find themselves attracted to one another. There is a pull there that won't allow them to leave one another alone. But it is against the rules for two different kinds of shifters to mate.
Love the characters in this new series. Tess is an alpha and has no problem standing up for herself. She is smart and knows when to fight back and when to back off. Nate is an alpha werewolf and isn't used to women being able to take care of themselves. But Tess being able to is such a turn on for him. He is willing to break the rules just so he can have her.
This is the first book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. Has a cliffhanger for the situation Tess and Nate are in but not for the relationship.

I love your book Sanctuary!!!! Your writing style is fluid and crisp. Your characters are inviting and strong. I am on the edge of my seat eager for the next book.
I loved the concept of the shifter sanctuary. All different types of shifters coming together in a time of need. Nate and Tess are great characters. I like how Tess is tough and perfectly capable of taking care of herself as well as protecting the ones she loves. She's also a romantic at heart. It cute that she reads paranormal romances about shifters. Nate is sexy, protective and fierce. Who could help but fall in love with a guy who loves no bake cookies. In fact I can honestly say that I totally loved this book. The only fault I could find with the book would have to be the Coke vs Pepsi question. Coke really? Everyone knows it's Pepsi all the way. LOL
Great book Ms. Shaw I look forward to the next one in the series. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK !

I just love books that have a forbidden love between the main characters it makes things interesting it's the shifter version of Romeo and Juliet except for the names thea is a werecat shifter and mate is a werewolf their is a long standing died between the older werecats and werewolves their hate is so bad they can't stand to be near each other thea is on the run her family (pride) was attacked by hunters she stops in a town to eat but she is badly injured when nates sister saves her and asks her brother to take her to sanctuary but she is not warmly welcome by moat of the wolf shifters desperate to find her family the council lets her stay but she must ha e someone with her bare is the person who brought her so she is his responsibility mate and thea both have feeling for one another when mate tells her of the rules of sanctuary she finds out only shifters of the same species can mate as to not taint the pure bloodlines will nate help thea find her family members? Will they get together against the council's dictates to find out I strongly recommend that you read this book it is a great book and worth every penny 5 gold stars

Sanctuary is the first in a new shifter series by Bethany Shaw. It follows the lives of Nate, a werewolf shifter, and Tess, a werecat shifter as they try to protect their kind from human type hunters. There’s love and action and everything most readers want in a paranormal romance novel.
The attraction between Nate and Tess is palpable but forbidden because they are differing breeds of shifters. This isn’t as much of an issue for Tess, but Nate comes from a traditional pack which expects wolves to mate wolves.
What I found most impressive in this story was the social commentary Shaw weaves into it. The correlation between Nate’s and Tess’ taboo relationship to those of differing races, religions, nationalities, and sex makes the book a little timeless. What bothered me was the stereotypical conflict between generations and how the outdated views of an older generation hold back the younger one. That the younger generation always knows better how to change and accept for the future.
Overall, this was an enjoyable story with characters who felt real.

Book 2 of the Hunted series by Bethany Shaw is fantastic !! It's full of shifter 's who think Pack and Pride shouldn't mix. Tessa is one were cat on the run and looking for her family after their pride is attacked and burned out of their homes. Nate is Eden's older brother and he steps in to help Tessa at Eden's request, and things go quickly downhill from there !! Hunter's somehow keep finding them, Shifters are found dead or are missing completely and Tess & Nate are falling in love right in the big middle of it !! There is love, sex, betrayal, kidnappings, murder and the innocence of a new shifter being born ! I recommend this book to anyone lover of paranormal romance, intrigue and adventure. 5☆'s !! In my opinion this book can easily be read without reading book 1, but it would be most enjoyed if book 1 were read first. I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I really enjoyed ready Sanctuary. The author did a great job building the characters and the flow of the story. Tess is a strong, loving, tender but tough warrior oh and did I forget a werecat. She is injured and meets a sweet human who helps her out. Tess knows there is something different about Eden but she can't quite figure it out until she offers to help her. That is when she meets Edens brother Nate who is a werewolf and their worlds will never be the same. The were creates in this story are being hunted by Hunters. They are trying to stay one step ahead of them and stay alive while trying to find the hunted weres and get them safely to Sanctuary. This is a unique werecat and werewolf story and I could not stop reading it. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Escaping with the help of a shifter held there they are now on the run from the hunters and Xander’s family. This is a fast paced run from the Hunters. No add that these two are going to find out that they might just be made for each other. Keeping Eden safe from the other shifters becomes Xander’s primary goal. Will they find any help from Sanctuary or have all the shifters turned against them because Eden is half wolf. You have to read this adventure to know all the details but trust me it is a page-turner full of action, and a little romance. I love it and I think you will too.

This book is a must read! I am in love with the characters and the plot. This is one that wraps you up and says you cannot go yet! Action, romance, danger, and forbidden love! We have one heroine that if you don't fall in love with, you are heartless, she gives her all and she is one scrappy woman/wereleopard. Shot and poisoned, she is being hunted as she hunts her family that was savagely attacked. Risking her life to help her family escape, now she is alone, trying to reunite with them. She meets Eden, and Eden calls big brother, Nate, good or bad, she Is drawn to these Wolves. Werecats and Wolves don't get along. Why Tess and Nate are drawn together becomes clear as they both fight, there connection and to save family. Love this book ! Cannot wait for the next one! I received this free for an honest review. I mthink I just found a new favorite!!

Starts out with danger and fear, and ends with love and a look towards a great future for Tess and Nate.
Tess is a were shifter and Nate is a wolf shifter. But some how they are mates.. The history of the two packs is in debate on what drove them apart as allies.. Each pack has their own version of the story.
Nate takes Tess to Sanctuary to recover from her ordeal. The Council at Sanctuary is against their being together. But they agree to help her find her family who is on the run from the Hunters. They are trying to wipe out all the Shifters.
Great start to a new series from Bethany Shaw. She brings to life a new adventure for all of us. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

I was given this book as an ARC in return for an honest review.i must admit, this was the first book by Bethany Shaw that I had read. I've gone through shifter novels faster than girls changing their knickers, so I thought " yeah, here we go, another one". But I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued. The story flowed, Nate and Tessa are red-hot together. Their characters are so compelling. Tessa will look for and help her family no matter what and Nate will help her and protect her never mind the repercussions. What's not to like. I am looking forward to the next one. Thanks Bethany Shaw for giving me the opportunity to enter the world of Sanctuary.
