Bearstone Park series: Book 1: Bear-llionaire Book 2: Bear-lebrity Book 3: Bear-thlete
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

This was mildly entertaining. It was extremely predictable, and I can already see how book three of this series will go without even reading it. This only had minor differences from book one. I found myself skimming large sections. There was only one spelling error that I noticed: everyday for every day. Leslie is a bar owner. She is wary of men because of her mother's experience. She's friends with Kylie, who has her sights on one of the Hart brothers (book three) and with Janna, who has already married a Hart (book one). She feels that Riley Hart is giving her mixed signals, and that he acts like a typical male. Riley is the movie star brother. He has a reputation of going through women like tissues: use and discard. He is haunted by a childhood experience which holds him back. There's also the requisite villain, who is introduced and dispatched quickly, and of course this is the catalyst which cements the relationship between Riley and Leslie. The price is right for the content. I prefer the format of this new series: no cliffhangers. I'll continue reading for as long as the author pumps these out.
I read Bearllionaire a while ago and it was an experience. A whole new world revealed itself to me. So, naturally, I wanted to read its sequels, Bearlebrity and Bearthlete, even if only out of curiosity.
I liked the second book in the Bearstone Park series better than the first one. Here, we follow Leslie and Riley (why all three Hart brothers have similar names - Ryder, Riley, Ryan - THIS WAS SO DIFFICULT) and their thing, which should just be two adults having casual sex but ends up turning into something more when their bears claim each other as mate.
I know. Take your time. Read it over. Both Leslie and Riley shift into bears. Or they should - but they haven't done so for so long (Riley with a pretty good excuse - he thinks he's responsible for his mother's death) they no longer recognise each other as a bear. Of course, this leads to break ups, another bear trying to mate with Leslie, Riley being super protective to the point of being just terrible and also almost dying out in the snow.
I'll repeat - I was impressed with this book. Leslie has as much spotlight as Riley (which I felt Janna didn't have as much of, in the first book), she's strong, knows what she wants and is just pretty awesome. She's a curvy, tall, (problably black / birracial) woman who takes no shit from the customers in her bar at a small turist town. We finally get to see a bit more of her friendship with Janna and Kylie too, which we were just told in the first book, and they actually help her solve her problems. Also, she's a bear. She doesn't know much about this part of herself thanks to her father leaving her before she was born and being raised by a single mother, but she is, and I really liked that.
Her relationship with Riley also is easier to accept than Ryder and Janna's. While the couple from the first book met and fell in love in, like, three days, Riley and Leslie have more time to develop feelings (a whole week, and then some months after they claim each other as their mate) and also there's the whole being a fucking bear shifter thing, which explains why they love each other so deeply and so quickly. They've also met before, back in book one, and had been flirting since then, so...
The connections to book one and book three and the other two couples are always there, by the way. From Leslie and Riley's feelings for each other to mentions of Janna and Ryder's love and the feelings Ryan and Kylie have (like when Ryan shows up to help drunk Kylie and is pretty protective of her and Kylie gushing over her crush on him to her friends), it all connects the series and makes you wanna read it all.
Of course, there's pretty long scenes describing sex, too, but it's not like you have to read them to understand what's going on. If you're curious, though, Riley focus a lot on Leslie while they're at it - so there's that.
Like I said, I was pretty impressed with Bearlebrity, and I'm curious to see what will happen in the last book of Bearstone Park.
Oh, and I forgot to add: Riley's a famous chick lit Hollywood actor. Like. This is great. He was also a med student when he was found, so he's, like, hot and smart. And helps Leslie at her bar. What. A. Man.

Second Hart brother, this one Riley, is a celebrity with a tragic experience in his past that has turned him away from his bear shifting ways. He's tuned all his bear-related stuff out and no longer even shifts. He also knows that it makes him dangerous, which is why he can never settle down like his brother. But Leslie tempts him. She's everything he's ever wanted, but she turned cold toward him, after he fails to follow through with his teasing. But then he finally does, and Leslie is suddenly the one realizing there's no future for them, since she's also . So the two are together but pushing each other away emotionally. It takes some outside help to get them to really figure things out and for them to open their eyes.
It's kind of the blind-leading-the-blind with these two, but it's still an enjoyable story. It's somewhat angsty and at times a little frustrating watching these two battle it out. Riley's past trauma is heart-wrenching, and more or less explains his POV. I liked that he was upfront and honest about things and was open about his change of feelings. Leslie...eh. If anything, I would think that Leslie's past experience would make it worse for them once she found out Riley was a bear, since she thought bears couldn't be faithful. It bugged me that Leslie, who agreed from the start that they weren't "together," kept using that to bait Riley into being possessive. It's as though she promised she didn't need a relationship but then kept acting like she did. It especially irritated later when Riley changed his mind and she hadn't, but she still kept baiting him with the idea of being with other guys. Kinda really wishing we got to see the mating ceremony instead of being told about it...

I really enjoyed the second installment in this series. The characters were fun and likable, and it was brought together around a good storyline. The only thing that attracted it from being a five in my opinion, what is the fact that editing was a bit problematic. Several times there was confusion about the character because they put the wrong character in the context of the sentence. Other than that I will enjoy rereading this book in the future.
5 Stars isn't enough. Terry Bolryder, as a author, is my favorite in bear paranormal. I will read anything that's written. The stories are great, just enough drama and romance and very well written. Most of all you're not left hanging. Everyone should try but always start with the 1st book in a series.
I loved the two main characters and the brothers and girl friends. I got a little confused about Leslie. I thought she was African-American, but then in spots it seemed like she was Caucasian. Either way I enjoyed it. I like it when the hero shows some vulnerability especially if he is a shifter. I would recommend this shifter book.
Just didn’t feel a real connection with these two. Both just wanted a no strings sex relationship. Of course this changes and I did enjoy the fact it was Riley who wanted more first but just too much negativity and no strings talking. Didn't warm to Leslie at all. Mummy issues. Read and reviewed previously but review is missing.
Bearlebrity (Bearstone Park Book 2) by Terry Bolryder. Riley Hart, celebrity film star and bear shifter. Lesley, bear shifter and owner of the only had in town. They would make a lovely couple of they could get past their insecurities.
Love ❤ this second book 📖 from this series 😍 it was filled with family, friendship, a little drama, action, romance and love. You have to read this series from the first book you will not be disappointed!
This series is very sweet, easy to read and contains enough humor to keep me entertained. I've enjoyed this author when I just want something light to pass the time.
Just finishing up this series. It is more a novella than a novel but not bad. What I love about shifter novels this one had...a tight community of folks who have each others backs...magical healing powers....love at first sight/inner animal recognizing his/her mate (it is okay, any pet I had knew instantly if he liked someone or not) I buy it. I love the power that these two go at it and the sex is very animalistic.
In this novella, we are not disappointed in this regard. This is the second of three novellas about three brothers. Coming home to their home town, a resort in the mountains after their father has passed away to get his matters all straightened out. He owned the resort by the way. the three brothers spot three local girls who are having a "girls night out" in the lodge and are instantly attacked to each other. One brother is a computer billionaire, One is a movie star and the other a ski board Olympian.
These are tall, handsome, athletic, rich, educated, top-of-the-food-chain shifters here....who are instantly drawn to three ordinary, slightly plump to "chubby" girls who each are very insecure, have problems with family and one even recently dumped by a guy who was cheating on her. But hey, when someone is meant to be your mate....it is meant to be!
Leslie is the owner of a local bar....she has a big personality to fit her "full figure" and while hosting a party of Riley's enterague she get's hit on and has to defend herself from a drunk acquaintance of Riley...well, he sees this and intervenes and then because she has injured her ankle he decides to spend the week with her, take care of her and take care of her business. This is all a way ruse to spend time with her and get into her heart as his bear has set his sights on her to be his mate.
She is of course uncomfortable because of her weight but a little more accepting than Janna was. But like anyone wonders what this movie god of chick-flicks, who could have anyone would want her? What she doesn't know is that Ryder has been living a very empty life back in Hollywood and wants the relationship a mate has with his other half. He wants cubs and a family and is tired of all the beautiful empty women, parties and fake people.
I liked the characters, the village people and story line. It was fun, light and an enjoyable read. In each of these novellas, finding the right time to tell them about their "grisly bear side" was always interesting and worrisome for the men. "Is it too soon? Will she accept me? Will she run?" In this case, Riley is worried that once he reveals his grizzly to her that she will refuse him and he will alone and live a solitude life without the mate and family he craves. His parents grew up during an era where bear shifters were encouraged to be as promiscuous as possible because of how hard it is to procreate for bears and the line was dying out. He saw his mother, fully human suffer because his father, although loved her, did not mate with her so he could chase after other women. This romance had an interesting resolution.
What did bother is me is how the author constantly reminded us how unevenly matched these two were....in fact the entire series is that way. Every other line talks about how overweight she is, how insecure she is and how he could have anyone...why her? I think this is a great story line if that was weaved in and out of the story. I have seen "uneven" couples where you wonder how they found each other and I can see one person feeling a bit inadequate. But this novella went on and on and on about it. I don't think you need to go on about it....we get it. He is a prize no matter what she looks like or how she feels about herself. Say a little bit here and there...deal with it the first time they have sex and move on.
I have to say this would have been a much higher rating if the author had not dwelled on her being "chubby", "curvy", "luscious" and having a figure to hold on to. That kinda took alot of the romance out of it as I was thinking the Author is uncomfortable with this and is trying to convince herself that these two belong together. Something is wrong if every page has to reinforce the reason as to why...he...is...with...she.
ps. .25 stars off for the name.....Bearlebrity?

Damn, he was dazzlingly handsome. She was luscious, just like he liked his women. WOW! What a rush! I had no idea how Terry was going to work her magic to give Riley and Leslie their story, but WOW! Work her magic she did! So many runs on the emotional roller coaster that had me laughing, gasping, nervous, crying happy and sad tears, but HOLY did my heart break for Riley! Hysterical sobbing actually. Even just thinking about it gets me bawling again! What an amazingly deep & intense history to both Riley and Leslie. They end up being exactly what the other needs. Of course, they do have help from siblings and best friends to see that, along with help of the furry kind too. "So, it’s like, my mind is just blown." I know exactly what you mean Riley! I feel like that with each and every book of Terry's that I read! Hey! Riley! Errr, Terry, I mean! You stole some of my lines at the end there! I guess I will just grin & bear it. After all it is unbearably funny. No claws for concern. All in grrrreat fun, right? hahahaahaaa Seriously though! This is a fantastic story that went a little darker than some, but it was also so sweetly romantic! I would never have guessed that, but that is one of the numerous reasons that I love Terry & her books! Being able to be surprised, amazed, blown-away, all while becoming a part of the story yourself all because the storyline is captivating, the characters relatable, loveable and someone you could picture yourself being, that is not something every author can do. Terry can and does, book after book. Phenomenal talent like that is not easy find these days, or if you do come across it, it is not present in all of that authors books. I have read quite a few of Terry's and that talent, that awesomeness, that 'grab you & pull you right into the story until you feel like you are living the story' presence is there in EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK.
They just keep coming and getting better. I've been a fan of Terry Bolryder since the The Alpha Games and have every book since. When they arrive I can't put them down until they are finished--leaving me wanting more. This is a stand a lone however it is the story of brother number two of three.
Werebear heartthrob actor, Riley, is refusing his bear. He also refuses to allow himself to have a HEA. He doesn't deserve it. Ms. Bolryder is a master of parsing out clues but never giving the full story. She keeps us seeking more. He has wanted Leslie since he first saw her. She knows nothing permanent can come with him, still she wants him. She doesn't believe in HEV either and she has another secret--but maybe one night, maybe one more keeps happening and both fight admitting their feelings.
Is Riley ready to watch another man step in?
The brothers relationship is close and fun to watch. Waiting for number three brother Ryan's story.
Overall this book seemed to follow the same formula as the first book. Not necessarily a complaint about that (though I certainly would if this was part of like a 10 book series and that was the case). I liked the twist of Leslie being a bear shifter too even if it was completely unbelievable that she had never shifted and also that she oddly enough didn't have the super healing powers for her ankle that all the other shifters in this world have. But honestly, these were some of the densest MCs I've read in a long time and it got real groan inducing to hear them both worry about the exact same things the whole book but not trust the other enough to communicate it. These HEAs are getting more impossible to believe too, I can understand how our tech tycoon can work remotely and travel as needed but our bearlebrity here can't really do that and I hate when couples meet and then just completely give up their lives and previous interests to be with each other. rawrrawrrawr.
Okay. I have a really, REALLY hard time both typing and saying BEARLEBRITY. Just thought I'd get that off my chest. (And Bearllionaire actually made me bite my tongue, so clearly I have issues.)
Things I liked: BEARS! Bears who want to get with their lady and show them a good time. There were a few things (intentionally vague, thank you) that happened that seemed incredibly coincidental, but I still enjoyed the windup to Riley and Leslie deciding to get it on.
For the record, if a hunky movie star happened to drop into town and give you enough smoldering looks to set your panties on fire, would you really care if he's a bear? I THINK NOT. Just sayin'.
Fun with a few tongue-twisting punny moments to make me laugh. Bearlebrity. I might not be able to say it well, but I still enjoyed it.
Rylie and Leslie's story was really good. Rylie the Hollywood celebrity who always was the loudmouth and womanizer. He has been keeping a painful secret one that does not allow him to give himself completely.
Leslie, is half human and half bear. She knows nothing about bear shifting and not very much about them because of her mother who hated them. She instilled in Leslie it was better to enjoy men, but leave them before they can live you. Her mother was a very bitter woman.
When Rylie's brother calls in Rylie's entourage to come in to Leslie's bar to make sure he is not depressed. He has no idea one of his friends would be a jerk with Leslie and trip her and make her hurt herself.
There were some errors, but not too many. I look forward to the third book in the series.
Riley Hart is the celebrity, heartthrob of the Hart brothers. When he rescues Leslie from one of his "friends" trying to take advantage of her, her starts working to help pick up the slack at her bar. But when these two come together the feelings Riley starts to feel aren't something he's used to. How can this woman be his mate when he can't tell her about the other half of him?
Leslie has lived with a bitter mother and will rely on a man to help her, especially a bear. But nobody ever said she couldn't have her flings, especially when Riley Hart is beside her all day, everyday.
Will these two be able to overcome their pasts that still haunt them? Will Ryan and Leslie ever be able to confide in each other with their secrets?
Not a really sure I like this story too much. Both Leslie and Riley kind of grated on my nerves.
I finished this in one sitting! I liked the 1st book so much and this was no exception to that at all. Riley being so possessive and overprotective of Leslie was cute and very romantic. Their story it's as good as Ryder's as I expected it to be. By the time I got what she was I was just waiting for them to tell each other and that Rex got in the middle was a good thing for sure. The ending was hilarious! I loved the word game!
Can I add how unfair is that Ryan's book it's not out yet? *big sigh* I didn't check the release date of this book before but damn... I want to keep reading! I guess I'll have to wait to see what happens...
This is the second in a trilogy of bear shifters and their BWWM. Here Riley has felt the pull towards the local bartender, Leslie since he and his brothers arrival to the town. But he had been told by his older brother not to mess with Janna's friends (his mate). So he, Riley had stepped back. Now he is ready to move on those feelings he has. Is it the mate calling him? Or has he hidden his bear so much that he can't feel anything? This is the second in the triology of Bear Shifters by Terry Bolryder. Will have to read the last one just because....
***** Great shifter stories in this series. Each can stand alone, but it's fun to read them all and get to know all of the deep thought filled characters. Interesting tale, and hot sexiness. Riley, a movie star, and Leslie the bar owner. Ryder, Riley and Ryan are "bear" brothers. There is a twist, but I don't want to give it away. Her admirer, Rex, is a stalker bear. I liked the characters right away, fun, sexy, emotional, sweet story. This is a full length, no cliffhanger story, yeah !!! I look forward to his brother Ryan's book. ENJOY !!!
This story deserved the rating it got because the story was really good.It was like girl bear meets boy bear and neither one of them were aware of the other being a bear.Their perils and journey getting to be where they needed to be was amazing. You will love this story even though I wish the story was longer. Please read these books in order it will be a journey you will enjoy.
