This book is very basic feeling. I dont love the writing style but the story is cute and unique. I loved that a crow shifter would give shiny little trinkets to his mate before they were ever officially mated.

Crow King Mate by Lorelei M. Hart is an emotional MM paranormal romance with crow shifters, fated mates, and mpreg at the end.

This one honestly made me a little sad in the best way. You can really feel how lonely Corvus, the Crow King, has become. He went from being worshipped and revered to feeling forgotten and isolated, and that quiet ache follows him through the story. It gave the book a deeper emotional layer than I was expecting.

Joshua is a jewelry maker who’s just trying to build a real home and stable life for himself. He’s lonely in his own way, searching for belonging just as much as Corvus is. Watching these two find each other felt tender and meaningful because they truly needed someone who understood that emptiness.

While there’s definitely a bittersweet tone at times, the story delivers a warm and satisfying HEA, complete with a little one at the end that ties everything together beautifully. If you enjoy fated mates with emotional depth and a softer, heartfelt vibe, this one is worth the read.

Joshua an omega jewelry maker looking for a place to call his own home but after looking unable to find anything after one too many drinks, buys a peach orchard that has seen better days unbeknownst he moves in next door to a demigod and despite the work involved he feels like he is right where he belongs. The moment they meet Corvus knows his mate has finally arrived but will he accept all of him but what he doesn’t know is that Joshua has always been fascinated with crows but where are they headed will his peach orchard be a success with the help of his blessing crow, will his omega accept all of him believing the unbelievable, has he found the home he is looking for, and have they found happiness together?

I am a big fan of this author’s work, love the shifters and fated mates theme, but this one didn’t hit me as well as most of the other series she(they) have done. I liked the characters and even the storyline, but it didn’t hook me like most of the others. Maybe part of it was I haven’t read about bird shifters before, and it’s hard to wrap my head around that (heaven knows why with snake shifters and dolphin shifters, let alone dragons), or maybe it was the incomplete shift to human with the crow head, but it was harder for me to get the pictures in my head that I normally do (sort of like my own personal video). That said, I liked the story and thought the premise of the demigod to bless the crops and the mutual benefits between the Crow God and the farmers and townsfolk was a good one. I liked the festivals, hope maybe with the special peach orchard coming back, old traditions might be resurrected. This is a short, low-angst, mating, mpreg and adorable baby read, an easy way to spend a quiet afternoon or evening escaping into a different reality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely adored Crow King Mate by Lorelei M. Hart—it’s unique, heartfelt, and so full of charm.

Corvus completely stole my heart. Once worshipped and powerful, now forgotten and lonely—his longing for a true mate felt so raw and genuine. Beneath the strength of a crow shifter alpha is someone who just wants to be chosen and loved for who he is, and that emotional core made this story so special.

And then there’s Joshua—sweet, thoughtful, and exactly what Corvus needed. The fact that he sees the real him from the start, not the legend or the power, made their connection feel so pure and meaningful. Their dynamic is soft, tender, and full of those little moments that make you smile.

The world-building in Whisper Grove adds such a magical layer, and I loved the blend of whimsy (all the peaches!) with deeper themes of loneliness, belonging, and love.

This was an interesting and creative shifter romance. Corvus was a demigod who had essentially outlived his usefulness. He was stuck in the realm because he hadn't met his mate, not had he been killed. He'd given up hope long ago of meeting his mate. Then Joshua bought the run down peach orchard next door. Frusterated by a house sale that fell through, he spontaneously made the drunk purchase. In reality, maybe not as much, but always move forward. These two were fireworks together from the first moment. Despite hid age (centuries) Corvus wasn't familiar with many things, or perhaps because of it. Joshua found it endearing, especially after learning why. The largest hurdle between them was Corvus's shifter ability as they were both being accepted into thr workings of the small town. Is it possible Joshua could accept having the Crow King as his mate.and father of his offspring?.

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

This is a cute story about Corvus who is a crow shifter but also known as the Crow King and for decades, he watched over the farmers, crops or animals in the fields, and he was amply rewarded by gifts of food in abundance, but overtime these farmers dwindled to only a select amount. Joshua is a human omega who has just bought the house next door to Corvus. When Corvus sees his new neighbour for the first time, he is instantly attracted to him. They meet in person at the diner and he offered to help Joshua in repairing his house. They start dating, and before they know it, they have slept together, and Joshua wakes up to the glimmer from Corvus and he sees his crow head and his armour. I enjoy the development of this relationship until eventually they have their happily ever after in their peach orchard and their baby girl.

This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. I enjoyed watching their relationship slowly grow. The two of them fill the holes their mate never realized they had.

Its been a bit since I read book 1. When I got to read this one...book 2...I was like yep...quirky and a bit weird but all in all a good read. Corvus the legendary Crow King...lonely ...looking for his forever mate finally meets his omega...Joshua. The vibe/chemistry between the two was instant. There was no angst...no miscommunication...the reveal wasn't even that spectacular...I will say Joshua attitude was...it is what it is and I still love you. Wow...the acceptance and love was great. Very nice romance and the HEA was great. I would recommend it you like a little different romance than the usual.

I love the story of the Crow King. This is one of the best I have read. It is so simple, yet so moving. A man who loves crows... and all things shiny. Corvus used to be asks to bless the crops around him then they would leave him some of the crops, the farmers were leaving and no one asked him to bless anything. Corvus wanted his mate. Joshua put in an offer on a house but it shouldn’t have been for sale. While he was drinking he found a peach orchard with a house in his price range so he put in an offer the next morning saw it had been accepted. Joshua moved to Whisper Grove and saw the house and orchard needed work, Corvus saw Joshua talking to the trees. He made it possible for them to meet at the diner and they talked Corvus said that he could help Joshua. They just fit together.

This was a sweet, slightly spicy, shifter Mpreg, exactly what was written on the tin. I enjoyed seeing these two together, especially a different type of shifter than what you normally see in fiction. I thought pacing and storyline was great until the middle, where it suddenly shifted into turbo drive and rushed to the end. I kept wondering if my copy was missing pages, especially when things were referred back to that never actually happened, but nope. All in all, if you’re looking for a light-hearted read to enjoy while turning off your brain, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try.

This is a great story of waiting for your mate and finding that person who makes you whole. Corvus has spent many years waiting for his mate and finally he appears. Joshua is looking for the right place to call home and he finds it in Corvus. I loved reading how their relationship developed and how their love flourished. This was an almost no stakes quick read. There is something endearing about how Joshua went full speed ahead with buying a kind of abandoned peach orchard on a whim.
