Three sinfully sexy Highlander romances by Joanne Wadsworth.
Book 1: Highlander's Castle ~ features a rugged Scottish warrior who agrees to handfast with a lass from the enemy clan. When she arrives at Alex’s castle, the last thing he expects is a woman claiming to come from the future, and a woman who ignites in him a powerful desire for her. Can he defy the odds as Anne is taken from him through time…to work his own magic and get her back?
Book 2: Highlander's Magic ~ Archie MacDonald has been gifted a faerie who insists she’s from the future and the progeny of both his and his enemy’s clan. All he needs is Marie’s aid in the coming battle, to rid the world of his enemy. Although in seeking his revenge against her paternal line…he might well kill the one woman who’s crossed centuries to be by his side.
Book 3: Highlander's Charm ~ Lila MacIan is transported through time to the Scottish warrior her magical charm has bound her soul to. After escaping Calum, she discovers she was born in the past to his arch enemy, although Calum has no intention of letting her go. Can she save the man her soul cries out for…set her past to rights and remain in her true time?
Joanne Wadsworth is a NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Bestselling Author who adores getting lost in the world of romance, no matter what era in time that might be. Hot alpha Highlanders hound her, demanding their stories are told and she’s devoted to ensuring they meet their match, whether that be with a feisty lass from the present or far in the past.
Living on a tiny island at the bottom of the world, she calls New Zealand home. Big-dreamer, hoarder of chocolate, and addicted to juicy watermelons since the age of five, she chases after her four energetic children and has her own hunky hubby on the side.
So come and join in all the fun, because this kiwi girl promises to give you her “Hot-Highlander” oath, to bring you a heart-pounding, sexy adventure from the moment you turn the first page. This is where romance meets fantasy and adventure…
Really enjoyed each one of these action packed, emotionally thrilling and highly entertaining adventures filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and exciting turns of fate. Great reading!
Highlander’s castle Oh the things a wish to the Faerie flag can set in motion! I enjoyed seeing Annie pulled into the past to encounter Alex. Mistaken identities and the intricacies of time travel to the past to influence the future was interesting. A pleasure to read and savour an eventual HEA.
Highlander magic An amulet, a fairy circle and a wish it seems is all it takes to travel back in time. Marie trying to be truthful with Archie about being from the future was entertaining. Hearing the details of the clan wars in the context of history certainly made Marie’s task a challenge. Lots of action with many issues resolved eventually led to a nice HEA.
Highlanders charm The myth of a child born under a falling star having magical abilities put a neat twist on this story. Lila and Callum both have the same charm but don’t know it’s significance. Once again, time travel resulting in changing things is key to this story. I enjoyed the history and the magical twists that allowed plot details to resolve and a HEA to be realized.

Established rules for time travel? BAHH. Who needs 'em! It's all magic anyways!
Such a frustrating set. Nothing is the same but everything is similar enough to be distracting. And that's like, the whole series in a sentence. In this day and age I expect more from a series, so yeah. The women were childish and their actions were drivel, the he-men deliberately obtuse and the stories and dialogue--while well-researched--were not interesting enough to pull the story along.
Somehow I made it through three audiobooks. Mostly just to finish them. Because I bought them. And I was damn well going to finish what I bought.
Highlander time-travel romance at its best! Vol 1 of the Highlander Heat series contains book 1-3 of Joanne Wadsworth’s wonderful series of how wishes, faerie flags, and family heirlooms move her heroines in time to find their true loves and destiny. I love every second of this series thus far and am definitely eager to read the rest ASAP! Perfect for fans of Outlander as well as Melissa Mayhue’s Daughters of the Glen series.

I am a sucker for a good time travel romance and this book set with the first three books in the series was wonderful! It is so romantic and filled with steamy scenes in addition to Scotland.

This three book collection takes place between the twenty-first century and the sixteenth. Each story centers around the second-in-command for three clan chiefs, Angus McDonald, Donald McDonald, and Lachlan MacLean, all of whom became guests of the King in his effort to stop their feuding. The women are fiesty, the Highlanders are hunky men of honor, and their relationships are hot. You will find danger, battles, kidnappings, loyalty and love, sprinkled with moments of humor. These stories are intertwined with an invisible thread, but each stands on its own, is well written and most entertaining.
Highlander’s Castle Anne and Alex This is an entertaining story in which Annie makes a wish that starts a whole time travel chain reaction. She finds herself in the twenty-first century and her identical descendant ends up taking her place in the sixteenth century. What starts out as a political handfasting ends up being so much more. Anne and Alex have a steamy relationship that is complicated and endearing. Both Annie and Anne enjoy their time travel discoveries and what ends up being their combined families. This story moves along quickly, keeps your interest, and leaves you wondering who will pop in when.
Highlander’s Magic Marie and Archie Oooo twins and twins…. Marie and Katherine were visiting castle ruins in Scotland when they came upon a faerie circle. The circle activated and took them to the sixteenth century. When Archie made a wish at the faerie circle, he ended up with an armful of Marie. Marie broke through the barrier, but unfortunately, Katherine did not. The story then takes the readers on a journey through kidnappings and battles. All the while, Marie is trying to dissuade Archie from killing Lachlan MacLean, as she is a descendant from a son not yet born to him. I really enjoyed how Marie very calmly got herself in so much trouble and used her feminine wiles to distract Archie and defuse his anger. Archie, on the other hand, was a hardened warrior with a soft center, making him a wonderful match for Marie. When Katherine does finally appear, there is a hint that she and Archie’s twin brother John might hook up. This story has lots of action, two exuberant lovers, and several rather interesting power struggles.
Highlander’s Charm Lila and Calum Two souls destined to be united find each other across time. Silver eyes, a shooting star, wishes, and a fortuneteller all contribute to Lila’s journey from the twenty-first century to the sixteenth, where she is saved by Calum. Their bond is inexplicable and all encompassing. They engage in s steamy relationship and when she gets caught up in a feud between clans, it puts both of them in danger. Wishes are made, secrets are discovered and the possibility of peace finally exists. This is a story with a feisty female and a sigh-worthy hero. It is entertaining, has moments of drama and lots of steam.

Nice to have a box set of three books with good stories to get lost in. Overall, this set is older Joanne Wadsworth books and of course, she has gotten stronger as a writer in recent years but these stories are shaky and show a lack of skill. However, they are really imaginative and fun stories.
Highlander's Castle- is a stretch for the imagination with time travel and a lot of present-day to medieval times coincidences like the heroine looking identical and having the exact same name as the girl in the past. The story escalates quickly and doesn't have much depth. As for the three, this was my least favorite.
Highlander's Magic- liked this one the best and I think it's because the plotline to have a woman warrior was just genius. Marie really has to fight or else she won't be born. And Archie is just so cute. Again, it has its flaws, the dialogue is a bit on the boring side and it's a slower burn story.
Highlander's Charm- a very unique storyline, both main characters have magical abilities with a charm necklace but don't realize the significance. Some odd twists in this one and things that don't quite make sense, again lack of depth but a fun story.
If you like magic, time travel, and faeries, then give these a go. Good storylines, but just keep in mind, the writer was not as strong in her prose as she is now and there are flaws and lack of depth.

One wish to avoid a pre arranged handfasting, to unit two warring clans. Two women, swept through time, and an attraction, turned to love, that time itself could not block. Yes, a wonderfully written time travel story, with lust, drama and frustration, but one very good HEA.
Book 2 Highlander's Magic
Two women, visiting the ruins of Dunyvaig, wish whilst within the circle of Fairie stones. Their wish for adventure, together, with a wish from a Highlander warrior, brings them the adventure they desired, and more.
Book 3 Highlander's Charm
Time travel, a prophecy, a fortune teller, hunky Scottish warrior and a love story that defies time. What more can you ask from a romantic read? Yes very enjoyable and entertaining read.

HOT! There were some very sexy scenes that scorched my e-reader! These stories were enthralling. I love time-travel romances. I adored them so much that I really hated to see each story end but as there were 3, I loved slipping right back into it.
I loved that they were written in a dual POV format. Getting a glimpse into both of the characters' thoughts really helped me to better understand and connect to them.
If you love time-travel romances and hot sexy scenes with amazing characters, then you definitely have to read this collection.
We are told this series that can be enjoyed in any order. So if a title catches your eye more than the others, enjoy reading one after the other or shuffle them around. This is for your enjoyment! The focus of these three stories is on Angus McDonald, Donald McDonald, and Lachlan MacLean, and the feisty ladies who win their hearts. Grab your copy and let the magic and time travel carry you along on their journeys.
The best time travel stories seem to be centered in the Scottish Highlands and these are no exception. The first three stories in the series, all of which standalone but are loosely related. Modern women thrust back into a time where things are very different, including the men they find. Well developed characters. I like having the books in a set so I can read through without having to get back up to speed. I also appreciate that the stories do stand alone. Great adventure, women out of place and hunky heroes that aren’t quite sure what to make of the modern woman.
Three women from 2014 are separately transported back to Scotland 1590 to meet men from three different clans that are at the castle on order of the King. The characters are well developed, determined and full of spunk. The storylines are fast paced, suspenseful, and have lots of twists, steam, revelations, danger and much more that keep you turning the pages. Loved the vivid locales, entertaining encounters and romance that drips off the pages. Well done.

These books bring you back int time to the highlands. Each story is its own adventure. It is good, but I guess I just did not get into each book as much as I would like. I did skip over some of the sex parts, I like the adventure and suspense in stories better. That being said I think alot of people will love the reading and others will just be Ok with it like me.

3.5 stars. Magical stories set in the highlands of Scotland, 1590. Each story is about a different couple, the women from 2014 and their highland warriors of 1590, all brought together through faerie magic that abounds in the area.
The second and third book were by far my favorite!.

These stories are an easy read with interesting characters. My only complaint is that the author appears to have used a template since all of the stories have similar dialogue and settings.
I love highland stories. Add time travel it goes up a notch. Who can resist imagination and magic, highland feuds and romance that even allows for a story.
This is a wonderful collection of time travel romances. I have always been a fan of these types of stories and these three novels were wonderful. Glad to have all three together.

These stories are heartwarming and have HEAs I love. They leave a hope for future adventurers and give some History into the lives of these past historical figures.
I loved the continuation of this family's Journey through Time and love. These were some amazing books as always. I loved each one. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
