VOICES FROM WORLD WAR ONE - Letters from the Front: “ALL THE BLOOD RAN RED”

Rate this book
The Great War that began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918 was also known as World War One (WWI or WW1) or the First World War, was a global war centered in Europe. From the time of its occurrence until the approach of World War II in 1939, it was called the World War. In America, it was initially called the European War until America herself became involved. More than 9 million combatants were killed; a casualty rate exacerbated by the belligerents' technological and industrial sophistication, and tactical stalemate. It was the fifth-deadliest conflict in world history, paving the way for major political changes in many countries.
The author has brought together letters from both sides of the front lines; the pilots, the infantrymen, the nurses, the submarine commanders and many more to paint the picture of a War they called the GREAT WAR.
Note: Unlike most Parsons Publications, VOICES FROM WORLD WAR ONE has no photographs. These stories contain enough graphic descriptions of the horror of that war that no photographs were needed.

Repetitious

Really got boring after the stories started repeating. Near the end I felt that the writer had also had enough.
