He cracked my control on the ice. Now I’m going to break his off it.

I’ve been watching Alaric Hale for years.

The Ice Prince. Perfect posture. Perfect control. Born into privilege and polished until he gleams. Everyone thinks he’s untouchable—and he believes it too.

I don’t.

I know the exact second he cracks. The hitch in his breath when I lean too close. The way his body goes rigid when I say the wrong thing in the right tone. One filthy whisper was all it took to cost him the game.

That wasn’t luck.
That was practice.

Now a storm traps us overnight in the arena, and the ice between us is gone. No crowds. No cameras. No escape. Just him, pacing with that furious self-control… and me, watching him come apart piece by piece.

I don’t want a quick win.
I don’t want a moment.

I want him obsessed. I want him questioning everything he thought he knew about himself—about control, about desire, about me. I want him realizing that the reason he can’t stop thinking about my voice in his ear is because some part of him has always wanted this.

Wanted me.

They say fire melts ice.

They’re wrong.

Ice shatters first.
And when Alaric Hale finally breaks, I’ll be there to make sure he knows exactly who did it.

Ice Cold Puck is a dark, obsessive MM hockey romance featuring rivals-to-lovers heat, forced proximity, and a hard-earned happily ever after. Check inside for Content Warnings.

Not perfect by any means, messy at times but the spirit of the story is in the right place and I couldn't put it down. The rivals aspect was perfectly scripted. So was the erotic tension and angst. Magnus was a mixture of some of my favorite book characters (a little Nikolai, a little Ilya minus the Russian). Alaric, on the other hand was a weak character, he was not a very likeable person, more so for his apprehension and his cowardly demeanor. The whole triangle with Kyle lasted way too long and I cheered when Alaric was hit with Kyle's true intentions. Dark and intense the book had a fast pace that kept me hanging on every word.
I loved this, it ticked all my boxes✅

Triangle
Alcohol abuse
'almost' cheating (while not really together)
An essence of Heated Rivalry/God of Fury.

2.5 ⭐️

Wasn’t the worst book ever but I lowkey didn’t feel as invested in the characters and the writing was giving me whiplash😭

I did enjoy it a little more to the end and I did like the tropes within the book I guess but it’s the way it was done as a whole that I couldn’t get behind.

It’s a shame Kyle was turned into a villain, I was kind of interested to read his book alas it’s probably not happening now…

I hate when the MCs sleep with OMs even after they meet and have sex. I dont like to read such stories. This author did the same in Leander/Locke's book and I 5*ed it even though I didnt like the almost poly scene (portrayed as dream in that book).

But this book goes even further. Spoilers ahead -

Alaric keeps kissing and dating Kyle even after he has sex (kissing, touching, hand job, blow job) with Magnus. Alaric comes out very flaky and wants best of both worlds. He strings Kyle along and also Magnus. I HATE such characters. I read from others review that Kyle will turn out to be villain. It doesnt matter how Kyle is, it matters how the MCs behave and I dont like to read this version of MC.

This is 2nd book Ms Myers has sprung this OM drama in the story without a TW. I dont think this author is for me anymore. I tried encouraging her through the 1st book but cant anymore. DNF'ing and I really hope author adds this to the TW list going forward.

I liked the story of Magnus’s alcoholism. I wish it would have went more in depth with that but the scene Phoenix waiting outside his door I really liked. It showed the desperation and hopelessness.

I wasn’t happy with Alaric’s flip flop. I can understand the pressure from his father but I felt he folded too quickly.

Like with the first book there were some continuity and formatting issues that should have been caught with some editing but the didn’t take me out of the story much.

Wow, I can't believe how much I hated this one. This book had everything I usually hate in romances. I hated Alaric, who strings Kyle along while having sex with Magnus at every turn. I usually like push and pull tension in books but this one had that in a very negative way. I didn't like how Magnus came off as pushy and lacking self-worth, knowing Alaric is with Kyle in the public eye. This is not the kind of progression I like to see in my romances.

The author made Kyle a villain by the end so we can root for the main couple and forgive Alaric for all the flip-flopping he did throughout the book. This is my first book by this author and I hope this is not a recurring theme with all of her books.

No estuvo mal.

Sadly this was a let down, felt story was not focused and only full of sex and toxic moments. No real character development or growth.

I can't stand Magnus. He is just an idiot without return. DNF. I hope Alaric finds someone better.

Me encantó

La historia es muy buena. Los personajes me hicieron llorar, pero los amé. El desarrollo va poco a poco, pero me gustó la rivalidad y la tensión entre ambos.
