Two wounded souls weren't looking for love...but one tiny baby had other plans.

When Dr. Ani Green drags herself onto the plane after her wedding-that never-was, she’s a self-described mess who promptly barfs into Adam Lowenstein’s lunch bag—not exactly a meet-cute. But his sweet, friendly demeanor has a way of calming her and even making her laugh. (And the fact that he’s a total hunkadoodle doesn’t hurt!)

Somehow, Adam takes her awful do-my-honeymoon-alone trip from unbearable to almost fun. Ani resolves never to get involved with another man until she figures out why she keeps choosing the wrong guys. But desperation, intense attraction, and a little too much wine in a tropical paradise…oops.

What happens in Turks and Caicos stays there.

Months later, Ani is struggling to make her hometown dream practice work even though she and her partners couldn’t be more different and despite the fact that her parents moved from retirement in Florida to be closer to her in Wisconsin. (Who actually does that?)

Even worse, Ani finds that Adam is now the head of the ER – and her boss.

Except he’s not the sweet, kind, charming guy she knew – he’s a rigid, rule-follower who’s no-nonsense and no fun. Still, she can’t help remembering the kind, passionate guy she met…good thing she’s given up men for all time and has vowed to never act on impulse again.

Until a patient surrenders a baby and begs Ani to ensure that she gets a good future.

Widower Adam Lowenstein promised his wife he would still go to Turks and Caicos on what would have been their fifth anniversary. Adam would rather eat snails, but a promise was a promise.

He’s closed himself off to just about everyone. Love is pain, and he wants no part, even though Ani somehow awakened him from the dead like a whirlwind, and he can’t help but get swept up in her kindness, her joy, and her desire to make the world a better place.

He swore he’d never love again, but Ani and one tiny, abandoned baby are the family he just might not be able to live without.

When 2 people who are suffering meet on a plane to Turks and Caicos, who would think that they could be the missing piece for one another? Dr. Ani Green is a pediatrician and left her fiance' at the altar. She feels awful about the way it went down and knows she should've ended it much sooner. Dr. Adam Lowenstein works as an ER doctor and he is grieving the loss of his wife. She's been gone for close to 2 years, but Adam is still suffering and has not let anyone get close to him since. Ani is going because it was her honeymoon trip and Adam is going because his wife loved it so much and she wanted him to see it. As the week goes by and Adam and Ani get closer to one another, will they be able to help one another heal?

When Ani gets back and starts her own practice, she also takes shifts at the hospital ER. Ani is shocked when the new head of the ER is Adam, but he's much different than the fun loving guy she vacationed with for a week. He's grumpy, very regimented, and has no sense of humor with the staff. Which Adam is the real Adam? Ani isn't a fan of the guy who's now her boss. Will Ani and Adam find a way to make things work between them? When a baby enters Ani's life will she be ready to help her? Will Adam step up and help Ani when she really needs it? This book is absolutely fantastic and I didn't want it to end. I loved the characters, the story, and the town. I rate Take Me Home to You 5 stars with my highest recommendation. I'd like to thank NetGalley and Hawthorne House Press for an advanced copy of Take Me Home to You in exchange for a fair review. #TakeMeHomeToYou

Dr. Ani Greenis on a plane headed to Turks and Caicos after stopping her wedding at the last minute. She knew she couldn’t go through with it. Her mother thought it would be best to get away, so she didn’t have to handle the aftermath. Dr. Adam Lowenstein is headed there too because he promised his dead wife that he would go on their 5th anniversary. His friends and family knows he needs a break. Ani and Adam meet on the plane and decided that they would enjoy being there one day at a time. After the week they both went in different directions. She’s back in her hometown. Adam shows up as head of the ER. He asks like he doesn’t remember their last night together on the island. He realizes he made a mistake but doesn’t want what they had to be interfering with their jobs, he’s her boss. When Ani delivers a beautiful baby girl, the young mother makes Ani promise she will make sure the baby has a wonderful future. It bro Ani’s heart. She decides she wants the baby. She’ll foster first then adopt. She names the little girl, Rosalie, after ani’s grandmother. As she takes care of the baby, her mom and Adam’s mother help her out. Adam’s mother is retiring from her job as a social worker for foster children. She can really help Ani and give her good advice. Her mother is thrilled too. They have her back. Adam can’t seem to stay away. He also helps with the baby. Will they let their chemistry get in the way? Can they fight it? Will he let the mourning of his wife get in the way of his future? Will they finally get to foster the baby? Will they get to adopt her? Lots of things happen. Things get in the way. People get in the way. Will they let all that go? Will Adam finally see a sign that was meant for him to move forward? I was so rooting for Ani, Adam and the baby. It was emotional, sad, lots misunderstandings, forgiveness and happiness all wrapped up in this story I didn’t want to put the book down. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

To say I was excited to read Take Me Home to You is putting it mildly. Anytime I can pick up Miranda Liasson’s new story, I know I am in for a very special story. This one was definitely that. Ani and Adam are on a trip which both are apprehensive about. Ani just walked away from her wedding and Adam is grieving the loss of his wife. They meet in a very strange way on a plane. Ani is distraught and has had one too many and Adam being the kind person he is realized she is definitely struggling with some traumatic. When it looks like she is going to be ill, he offers his bag just in time for her to lose it all. I mean what a way to meet. So spills her situation to him and he makes it his mission to put some fun in her trip and in turn she just might help him also. They both have no intention of getting involved with anyone. The question is can they resist their immediate attraction to one another that they are doing their best to ignore. I guess what happens in Turks and Caicos will stay there?? Only time will tell. So they have a great trip and return home to their jobs as doctors figuring they will never see each other again. They both have no idea what is in store for them until they are forced to work together in the ER where Adam is now in charge of. Their meeting didn’t go well to say the least until Ani delivers a young woman’s baby. This young woman gives her baby to Ani and pleads with her to make sure her baby girl has a good life. Then the journey begins as Ani pleads her case to become this precious baby has that life with her. Adam has wanted no part of this type of life due to the loss of his wife. But Ani has gotten in his soul and he can’t resist her or Rosebud. The journey that Ani and Adam are on is very emotional and sad but heartwarming. I’m so thankful that I was chosen to read this wonderful ARC for my honest review. I LOVED it!! And you will too.

We return to town of Oak Bluff in the 3rd book in this series.
Dr. Ani Green has fled her wedding and on a plane to her honeymoon without the groom, where her seat mate is Dr. Adam Lowenstein and he helps her "drunk on a plane" where she litterly barks in a bag of food he has brought on the plane, compliments of his aunties. Adam is going to the same destination. He is going reluctantly forced by his friends and family to come back to life, as he has not been living, just existing for a few years after his wife's death. And it was the one place she always wanted him to go. Little did he see this trip turning out to be a rescue mission for this as Ani puts it she is a self described mess.
But what happens in Turks and Caicos has to stay in Turks and Caicos or so they thought...

This is a lovely story of two people who have wounded hearts and how a baby brings them together in ways they both had not imaged. It will touch your heart and you will fall in love with this sweet little baby who has been given up by the birth mother and Ani is determined to become her foster mother, and Adam even though he is not really on the same page emotionally with her, helps her achieve for the child she has fallen in love with.
All Ani and Adam friends and family come together to make the dream come true, Adam needs to open up his closed heart and sees that Ani and baby Rosie are the two people can open his heart to love again.
A book of love, family, community and lots of heart for three people destined together. Have a few tissues handy, although there a lots of funny and cute moments to make you smile and chuckle.
I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley and the author for my honest review.

Ani Green, a pediatrician, takes her honeymoon alone after calling off her wedding at the last minute. On the plane she meets Adam Lowenstein, an ER doctor. They spend a week on Turks and Caicos keeping each company sightseeing and dining together. And it includes a passion filled night. Flash forward ten months and Adam is now the head of hospitals’ ER. He moved to be closer to his mother who lives in the town of Oak Bluff. He isn’t really her boss as the blurb says, but she does have to cover four shifts a month in the ER as part of her practice. It turns out both of them have spent time thinking about the other not thinking they would meet again. He doesn’t want to fall in love again after losing his wife before she turned 30. Ani doesn’t trust her judgement in men after being divorced once and almost making a mistake the second time.

This is a sweet book and part of a cute series called The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff. I read the first one, “Take Me Home for Christmas” (Sept 2024, 5 Stars) and somehow missed the second. The stories stand on their own but the other two couples have brief appearances or get mentioned. This is a very likable story with good side characters. I didn’t love it as much as the first one because of storyline preference. I’m not fond of babies in romances and was glad this was not an accidental pregnancy book. Liasson keeps the door closed on private times but she writes the building up emotions and connection well. And I absolutely fell in love with all the covers in the series. Put a cute dog on the front and my hand is already reaching for the book. Thank you to the author Miranda Liasson, Hawthorne House and NetGalley for the eARC and I am leaving an honest review.

This was such a sweet story! This is the third in a series, but it can easily be read as a standalone book. At the start of the book we meet Adam, a doctor and young widow headed to Turks and Caicos to take the trip he promised his wife he’d take in her honor. As the plane is about to takeoff, to a trip he could not be less excited for, he quickly realizes he has the worst seat mate ever. His seat mate is pounding Bloody Marys, and sobbing, and looking quite disastrous. And Adam quickly learns it is because Ani is also headed off on a vacation she couldn’t want to do less, as it is her not honeymoon she is going on after calling off her wedding. When they get there, Adam feels sorry for Ani, and a bit responsible for her well being. So despite his gut telling him to leave her alone, Adam keeps trying to get Ani to stay and use the time away to heal. After an unforgettable few days, they part ways realizing neither of them are in a place for their brief time together to be anything more. Cut to several months later and Ani is floored to realize that her new boss is her hero from her not honeymoon Adam. Except this version of him is awful. As Adam and Ani deal with the reality they will be forced to live in the same town together and work together, a crisis pops up at the ER complicating things between them even more. I loved watching Ani and Adam grow and move on from their difficult pasts. The side characters, and animals, were great, and the story was sweet with a lot of depth. Another wonderful book by Miranda Liasson. I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.

Take Me Home to You

Her wedding was bright and beautiful. Many were invited, her parents had gone all out for the celebration. However, when Ani Green realized that she really did not love Tyler - she told him that at the alte. The friends and family and the groom left. Ani’s parents encouraged her to get on the plane and go to their honeymoon location to clear her head. As she sat on the plane before taking off drinking bloody marys she realized the sadness and started to cry. The man sitting next to her in first class didn’t know what to do. He tried to speak with her but she could only say odd phrases and words. After the third drink she became sick and he held out the santa bag he had emptied and held it up to spare her impending mess.
Take Me Home to You will be published on February 27, 2026 by Miranda Liasson, LLC. I was able to read and review Liasson’s latest novel via NetGalley and her street review team. The book was a lovely gift as I have spent 2 days absorbed in this wonderfully, delightful story. There are characters from the series The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff however the main duo of Ani and Adam gave readers such a fantastic look at falling in love. This is truly a romance not to miss. Liaison’s story gave readers humor as well as sadness as they discovered how difficult it is to leave past loves behind. It is one I shall read again - exceptionally enjoyable!

Dr. Ani Green is a pediatric doctor. On her wedding day she decides she just can't go through with it, and goes on her Honeymoon alone. Her seat mate ends up being Dr. Adam Lowenstein who is the head of emergency medicine.
Ani thinks downing Bloody Mary's is the way to go once she is on the plane. Till things went bad. Adam has a bag of food that his mom and aunts made him for the trip. He empties it to the floor and gives the bad to Ani just in the nick of time.
They both were going to Turks and Caicos. Ani to move on from the disaster she left behind, Adam who is a widow following his wives last wishes for him.
They spend a week of doing things thing together and form a friendship until they realize they are drawn to each other. What happens in Turks stays there, right?
A few months later they both end up in the same town and same ER. What are the odds? Ani delivers a baby. The mom a 16 year old surrenders it to the state. Ani who can't stop thinking of the baby wants to foster to adopt. Adam wants to help. Will they end up with the baby? Will they get together?
This can be a stand alone book, but there are 2 books before this all are wonderful reads. It has humor, real life issues, Love and friendship. Miranda Liasson is an amazing Author and I recommend this book.

What a wonderful, captivating read that truly shines a light on the frontline workers who play such an important role in our lives.
The story follows Ani and Adam—two complete strangers who meet on a flight to Turks and Caicos. Both are carrying their own literal and emotional baggage, each navigating personal struggles. They end up spending an unforgettable week together, forming a deep connection, only to part ways assuming they’ll never see each other again.
Ten months later, fate steps in. Ani, a pediatrician, finds herself working in the ER—where the head doctor is none other than Adam.
As if her life isn’t already complicated enough, Ani decides to foster a surrendered baby, adding both heart and challenge to her journey. Adam wants to support her, but he’s hesitant to get too involved. Watching them try to navigate their unresolved feelings while balancing demanding careers and personal struggles was both emotional and rewarding.
This is a beautiful, heartfelt story about second chances, love, and the weight—and wonder—of responsibility. I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend!

This latest addition to the series belongs to pediatrician Ani Green and ER physician Adam Lowenstein.
These two meet by chance on a flight to Turks and Caicos.
Ani is on her way to her honeymoon trip alone after leaving the groom and the wedding guests behind before the wedding was performed.
Meanwhile, Adam, who still has not recovered from the death of his wife, is taking this trip because he had promised he would visit the place she loved.
Their meeting on the airplane was less than stellar. While on the islands they end up helping each other heal some scars, never expecting to meet again.
But fate has a sense of humor and ten months later, they meet back in her hometown’s hospital. But Adam is not the man she met. This Adam is a stuck in the mud .
What happens when a little baby comes to their lives? Will the baby help heal them or will Adam’s inability to allow love to come a second time be the end of a future for them?
This was a touching, at times heartbreaker as well as heartwarming story that will grab your hearts.
A wonderful addition to the series.

Dr. Ani Green, fresh off canceling her wedding at the last minute, ends up sitting next to Adam Lowenstein when she jets off to Turks and Caicos for her “honeymoon that isn’t a honeymoon”. Her mother and friends force her to go, but she vows to return home in a day or two. Adam is also headed to Turks and Caicos against his will. It was his late wife’s wish that he go on what would have been their 5th anniversary, so…he goes. Ani and Adam hit it off, if only for companionship, or so it seems. They soon go back to their real lives, but they don’t forget about each other.

When Ani delivers a young teenager’s baby, under Adam’s watch as the new head of the ER, the young mother surrenders the baby girl. Ani can’t get the baby out of her mind.

Adam doesn’t admit knowing Ani at first, and things don’t go how either one expects, but maybe this baby will upend their lives.

I absolutely loved this book! Ani and Adam are both dealing with issues, and it’s not an easy battle; but one that was so worth it in the end! Highly recommend!

Thank you Miranda Liasson LLC / Hawthorne House and NetGalley for this ARC, out February 27th.

This is a sweet, emotional story about second chances, healing, and learning to open your heart again.

Ani and Adam first meet on a flight — Ani running away from her wedding, Adam quietly carrying the heartbreak of losing his wife to cancer. They spend one unexpected week together in Turks and Caicos… only to meet again months later when Adam turns out to be Ani’s new boss at the hospital.

Adam is still deeply grieving, while Ani is trying to build a new life for herself, including her decision to foster-to-adopt a baby. Watching their relationship slowly grow while both characters navigate emotional baggage felt realistic and heartfelt.

The story is definitely slow-paced, but it suits the themes of healing and moving forward. I really found myself rooting for Ani, little Rosy, and for Adam as he learns to let himself love again.

Overall, a sweet and comforting small-town romance with plenty of heart.

Favorite Quotes:

She was one of those scary people who saw a need and actually did something to make it better.

I was a little started to see Worrywart Adam, who’d obviously been saving his questions like a squirrel hoards acorns in its cheeks.

You’ve always known what you wanted. Not everyone gets to that point at the same time. Some people take the bus; some take the high-speed train. But people do get there eventually.

My Review:

I always enjoy reading Miranda’s books, and she has penned another engaging, perceptive, agile, easy-to-follow, and satisfying installment of the Oak Bluff doctors. The storylines were entertaining, relevant, amusing, easy to fall into, insightful, and well-paced.

I adored this couple and wanted good things for them. They were both intelligent and caring doctors, yet very accessible and knowable humans with past burdens, pesky personal worries, and itchy family drama beneath their lab coats.

I look forward to more of the same and am eager to see who is featured in the next installment.

Take Me Home to You is a wonderful addition to the Drs of Oak Bluff series.
Ani and Adam are perfect for each other though it takes them a bit of time to figure it out. What starts as a vacation friendship, where both of them think they will not see each other again after turns into a situation where they run into each other several months later. The people they are in the real world are a little bit different than the people they were on vacation. Though they are obviously still attracted to each other, they have a difficult time figuring out how a relationship may play out in real life.
I really fell in love with each of them. How Ani is so committed once she finds something she wants with all of her heart. How Adam is so committed to helping Ani achieve her goal even though he isn't sure how he will end up fitting into her new life. The way they worked through heartbreak, life choices and new responsibilities together was beautiful.

I loved this book. Ani, a small town pediatrician, is on the plane to her honeymoon, but there is no groom. She left before the wedding started. Her seat companion is Adam. He's an ER physician who is on his way to the same island paradise as Ani. His late wife loved the islands and told him to go visit. When Ani gets sick on the plane, Adam takes care of her. They decide to visit the islands together, as friends. But something clicks and then they go on their ways. Until they meet again in the ER where she delivers a baby girl to a 16 year old anonymous girl. The mother doesn't want the baby and asks Ani to make sure she gets a good home.

Ani and Adam are attracted to each other and yet repelled. He's still in mourning, more than 2 years after the death of his wife.

This isn't at all a typical romance. It's so heartfelt and touching. I laughed, I cried, I really wanted them both to be happy.

Take Me Home to You is the third book in the small-town Doctor romance by Miranda Liasson. What happens on vacation does not always stay in vacation, just ask Dr. Ani Green. She meets a wonderful kind man on her solo honeymoon trip, then finds him to be so very different when he turns out to be the ER boss months later. There is more than first meets the eye when Dr. Adam Lowenstein is the man on the vacation and the rumpy work only ER doctor Ani finds in the ER months later.

The story delves deep into grief, slow healing and joy to be had each day. Besides these two doctors there is newborn baby that needs fostering, family that gets involved and dreams of becoming more goals leading to reality. Of course there is romance and love too in this learning to love again story. A heart touching story from beginning to end.

Dr. Ani Green calls off her wedding to Tyler at the last minute. She boards the plane to her honeymoon location alone. Dr Adam Lowenstein is seated next to the crying bride to be and tries to help her out.
They are both alone on the trip to Turks and Caicos, Adam is a widower and is taking a vacation alone since his wife died a few years ago. He has not any interest in ever remarrying and does enjoying sightseeing with Ani. They do spend one night together but go their separate ways afterward.
Adam is now the new Head of Emergency Medicine in her hometown. He is a stickler for order and rules, and Ani finds he is not like the man she meet on Turks and Caicos.
Lot of each learning what they want and need in this book, great story line.

Ani and Adam are seated next to each other on a plane to Turks and Caicos for a vacation, but for very different reasons. Ani is on a honeymoon for one and Adam is trying to put his grief into perspective. After a rough start, they actually had an enjoyable time but knew they would never see each other again. It was a surprise to Ani when she finds out that he is her ER boss. They both needed to work through their feelings of grief and being able to work together professionally. Oh - and add in Ani fostering a baby and Adam stepping in to help. A tender story of learning to love again after grief and healing.

Such an unusual beginning to their relationship leads to a path of trust, love, and second chances. When he moves to her home town to be near his aging mother and she discovers he's the head of the ER where she rotates one shift a month, things get interesting. Throw in a baby delivered and then abandoned, a decision to foster the baby girl, a social worker who turns out to be his mother, and a large dog and you have a story filled with fun, shenanigans , heartache and more. You don't want to miss this 5 star read by Miranda Liasson.

Ani and Adam were not an obvious match. I did really like how they connected at first. Both were in a lot of pain and I liked how they found comfort in each other. When their paths cross a second time, I loved their friction. Ani was admirable for sticking to her convictions. She seems a bit impulsive, but she follows her instincts. I really liked that about her character. Adam was such a caregiver but not obvious about it. It was just so ingrained in him. There were moments that made me laugh and others that touched my heart. I enjoyed the story very much. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ani Green and Adam Lowenstein met on a plane to Turks and Caicos; she a runaway bride and he fulfilling his deceased wife’s wishes that he visit there. They spend the week together and part with no expectation to see each other again. Fate has other plans, however, and the two doctors become work colleagues. Their reunion does not go smoothly but when Ani delivers a baby and the young mother relinquishes custody, the two become a team to care for the infant. Families are formed in many different ways as illustrated in this sweet story that is guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings. This is the third book in the series (my favorite of the three) but each is a stand alone.

This book drew me in right away. I loved all the characters. Very descriptive so I really visualized the settings and felt like I was there. Also, showed how in a small town the community pulls together and supports each other.
I loved Adam and Ani’s connection from the very beginning. His protectiveness was sweet. This book showed how grief can consume our lives and keep us from happiness. Feeling that we don’t deserve to be happy, but in the end that doesn’t honor the person you lost by being miserable.

Great story and an easy read. I will definitely read other books by Miranda.

I like how Miranda's books really pull me into the story with the wonderful characters. I felt like I was right there beside Ani on her courageous journey. I enjoyed her strength, her caring so much for others, and the growth she made with her decisions. It seemed like fate brought her and Adam together for a reason. They both needed each other and helped to balance each other out. I was so glad they were each given a beautiful second chance to find love in a most unique way. Meet Adam, hunky doctor but forlorn widower.
Now meet Ani, frazzled runaway ex bride who loses it next to Adam on a plane to paradise.
The meeting was auspicious and curiously a lot of people end up in Oak Bluff, WI.
I had to resist yelling at both Adam and Ani as I read because they both needed to get with the program.
Arnie stole my attention especially the fraught filled scene with Ms. Negative. He should have used her as a fire hydrant.
Life is for living and grabbing it with gusto, not looking back with regret.

I loved this story so much, I couldn’t put it down. Ani (FMC) is a fun pediatrician who finds herself fostering a baby she helped deliver at the hospital. Adam (MMC), also a doctor, is the sweetest and steps in to help even though he is still much more cautious. Even though this book is a stand alone, it is part of an awesome serious that I highly recommend you read too. I was so excited to get an ARC from NetGalley because I loved Ani from the previous book.

I just started reading books by Miranda Liasson this year. I am so glad I did. I really loved this book. It was funny, sweet, heartwarming, and romantic. I thought Taylor was adorable and I loved the name Ani gave the baby. The ending was really good. Reading about the dogs in this books, makes me really want one. I look forward to the next book the author writes. I'm grateful that, netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.

A pure delight to read that kept me turning the pages. I loved Dr Ani and Dr Adam, both with wounded hearts that will hopefully open their hearts again for true love. Loved baby Rosie, loved how Ani and Adam ca red and loved her, she was their universe. I will sat that I did shed a few tears towards the end. I highly recommend this book, it is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I can't wait to see who the next Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff will be.

With a slight of hand and an abundance of heart, Liasson puts the soul on full display. From haunting to hopeful, Ani and Adam take emotions by storm. A beautiful mess becomes an enduring promise that proves to be an enlightening journey.
