This book was so cute! I absolutely loved it!! Took place in my home state too!! I absolutely loved the FMC! She’s definitely a baddie. There is spice in this book too. It has small town romance vibes to it!

Sweet On The Finish by J. Nickole is a sensual and intoxicating read that stirs up a deep desire for love, romance, and connection. It is a story of newfound love amidst tragedy. It brings together a sophisticated woman and a rustic country man whose grumpy nature somehow only makes him more attractive. What makes the story so compelling is watching two complete opposites come together, realizing how good they are as a couple.

Once I started reading, I kept wanting to know what would happen next. It pulls you in not only by desire, but by the hope that love might truly heal something broken. It leaves you wrapped up in so many emotions, bringing a love that feels tender, longing, and consuming all at the same time. However, beneath the sensual pull is the overwhelming desire and pain - the vulnerability and a deep need to be understood. The author takes great care in making sure you feel the rawness of love while also experiencing the overwhelming comfort of being truly loved, which I hope we all have experienced at one point in our lives.

As the story unfolds through trials, deep wounds, and sudden shock, you can't help but wonder if this love will last or just become another thing of the past. Can they help heal one another, or will life's hardships be too much to carry? The chemistry, tenderness, and emotional depth between them make this story feel heartfelt, romantic, and deeply unforgettable. This book was an unforgettable experience - one with an amazing storyline.

Yearning for the next one.

I was lucky to be given the chance to review Sweet on the Finish, of my own accord, through being offered an eARC.

I had hoped for a longer build towards the main character’s attraction, but I do enjoy a good forced proximity or a one bed trope.
This book is full of emotion, tension and just the right amount of drama.
An enjoyable read.

This book has a sweet premise with a surprising amount of spice. Not at all in a bad way. The spice wasn’t over the top or cheesy and there was actual plot to go along with it. I love the winery setting and a forced proximity/one bed trope. It gave me spicy hallmark vibes (I love spice and hallmark ;) )

I don’t love Insta-love so much, and would’ve liked the enemy portion of the enemies to lovers develop a little more. I think without that tension it was hard to understand why the characters had so much back and forth about how they felt about each other. More background on the exes would’ve added to that too I think. I also didn’t fully understand what her job was, but that may be more of a me issue with not understanding the business.

I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
