Two women live in the same cottage – but 123 years apart. When a freak storm swaps them in time, they must learn to live totally different lives and accept alien values in order to survive. Feisty high school teacher Karen experiences in reality the grinding rural poverty of Victorian Scotland that she used to teach about. Bereft of modern conveniences her life becomes a day to day fight for survival. Gentle Alice, wife of a farmhand and mother of two small children is thrown into the brutality of modern Britain and dangers which she is too naïve to comprehend. Both women must learn to live in a different century from the one they were born to and make the best of it.

Two different lives, two different expriences, yet both entwined

Sue Wilson wrote a very unique story about two women whose lives were forever changed. Karen, currently living in modern Scotland and Alice living in Victorian Scotland switched places in time because of a force of nature. This intriguing story will hold the reader in suspense as they are transported back and force through time to learn how the main characters adjust and develop new lives.
