I thought escaping my toxic ex-boyfriend's coven was the hard part.
Turns out, being magically bonded to four himbo alpha wolves comes with its own challenges—like convincing them I don’t need them to hunt down tampons for me, explaining why I need an actual job despite Killian's obscene family wealth, and trying not to accidentally freeze my coffee every time I get excited about my newfound magical abilities.
Oh, and there's something ancient and vaguely villainous living in our bond right alongside us. Something—or someone—that is definitely not a himbo alpha wolf.
But before I can figure out why my new supernatural connection feels like it comes with a bonus cryptid, my former coven crashes my peaceful afternoon like the world's worst party guests. Turns out my ex, AKA Piss Pants, wants his favorite magical battery back. And he's brought eleven magical friends to make it happen.
A magical war is brewing, my new boyfriends are in danger of becoming a pack of vengeful fur rugs, and I appear to be the f**king catalyst.
Because the universe isn’t finished screwing with me, apparently.

Do You Even Shift, Bro? is the second book in a Paranormal Romance RH series about a grumpy witch with scars and trust issues becoming the last thing she wanted - the unwitting obsession of a pack of massive himbo frat wolves and the center of a magical war.
Some pacing issues and a lot of filler in this one. I would have liked to see more plot progression or more character development. There was relationship progression, but I think it could have gone a little deeper. I did think there were fun and funny moments, the himbo jokes don’t get old. I just felt like there should have been more conflict in the novel. The cliffhanger event I feel should have been something that happened earlier in the book and then been resolved. I think I would have preferred for a new conflict to arise at the end to be the cliffhanger instead
I loved this book. I enjoyed all the characters and particularly loved how the fmc stood up for herself and the love interests respected her and her choices. It was a refreshing change from many other reverse harems I’ve read. Warning though, it ends of a cliffhanger! Can’t wait for the next one!
Note: I received an ARC copy in exchange for a review after the Amazon glitch prevented the book from publishing.
This book was terrible. A plot that moved exactly 1cm forward, a “pack” that was basically indistinguishable from each other and an FMC that we still honestly don’t know much about.
The most interesting character was the mysterious professor who we still know next to nothing about (let’s face it, he’s totally a dragon right?) and the antagonist of her ex was nowhere to be seen until the last page.
My god this was boring. None of the questions from the first book were answered and the chemistry between them all was non-existent.
I was even lucky enough to receive an ARC for Do You Even Shift Bro? And honestly, it’s a 10/10 for me! I was literally cackling with laughter. The characters are so endearing. I love the world building, the magic system. Just all of it!
This is hands down one of my gods tier level series. I think River does a fantastic job bringing the reader into the chaos, without it being overwhelming.
You know what? I loved this like I love Love is Blind, Bridgerton, and other all-fun-no-substance shows. Was it a masterpiece? No, but that’s not what this is. This is not a Van Gough, it’s the artwork drawn on the bar bathroom stall and we know we love to see it!! This was hilarious and engaging and it’s the first series in a long time that I haven’t been able to put down! Loved it so much! ❤️
I’m still laughing at this series. OMG. These wolf mmcs are so funny. This is the rare book 2 that moves the plot along albeit slowly but moves the relationships along at a good pace.
I received an ARC for this book. Not because I’m an ARC reader, but because the vendor had technical issues releasing the book on time so the author opened her ARC list to everyone who was waiting on book 2 so we wouldn’t have to wait for the issue to be resolved. Seriously, kudos to her for that! Top tier behaviour, and I’ll be buying the book as soon as it’s officially released because of that.
The book itself, it’s a good read. It ends on a cliff hanger (again!) but I honestly expected that after the first book. I really love that the characters aren’t just recycled caricatures that seem to litter every why choose book these days- the FMC has actual SCARS that make her snarl and show her tooth- which is AWESOME. People (ok, vampires and an ex, do they count?) recoil from her and she’s self conscious about herself. Refreshing.
And the MMC- I started this series because a book about himbo wolves sounded too intriguing to not read. I had very low expectations, and this book exceeded them in all the best ways. They’re funny. They’re caring. The plot? Pretty ingenious. I love what happened to the ex in book 1. Hopefully he gets more. I’m very curious about certain aspects and how this is going to play out in future books, so I’ll be continuing for sure.
A great continuation of the first and it reads as the next chapter in their story. This book felt much more about the fmc building back her self esteem and starting her life again with her pack as a strong support and entertainment in the background. A positive and fun read. Managed to scoop an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving this review as I've been waiting for the release.
I graciously received an ARC from River for this book. I devoured Do You Even Hex, Bro? and was waiting anxiously for the second installment of the story.
We return to the Lupa Tau house with our favorite himbo wolves and Regina preparing for their bonding ritual in hopes of freeing herself from Kyle and his coven. Acquiring the ingredients, writing the spells and making sure nobody lost their kno....heads. Sadie is my favorite side character, because who doesn't love a cranky goth girl who takes the piss out of jock alphas any chance she gets?
I love that we get to see some individual dynamics with the wolves and Regina. It was a lot easier this book to separate the personalities and develop them. I feel like we really got to know Micah a lot better in this book because his character got a little lost with the boisterous Sean and macho-alpha Killian.
I am an absolute sucker for Villeneuve. The dark, mysterious Temu Dracula has captured my curiosity. Without him, the bonding wouldn't have happened at all, and River has dropped some interesting foreshadowing details for us about what kind of shifter Villeneuve might be.
What I liked the most about this book is Regina is smart without being arrogant or a "pick-me" girl She is competent, but not stubborn. She can accept help when she needs it from the people she trusts and doesn't make things harder by being TSTL and running head first into danger. She has also been given an opportunity to expand her knowledge with a powerful mentor and does what's best for HER. I could definitely see River adding said mentor into the harem. Fingers crossed!
River also makes the himbo wolves absolutely endearing to the max. She makes sure they are the sweetest type of stupid alpha without being disparaging/insulting about them because she highlights all their good qualities. Even Sean has a couple of good ideas even while being the biggest meathead of them all. The only bullies in this book are the bad guys, and I love that.
My only criticism is that with the different character POVs, we get some repetition from the perspective of another character for the same scene, so the story doesn't move along quite as fast as I prefer, but that's also because I'm a speed demon reader.
River leaves us with a nice closing to the book without throwing us off a cliff, which thank goodness for that. This is a fun book that doesn't need to leave us weeping at the end of the last chapter like some authors like to do. She didn't give us emotional whiplash and it didn't give me a book hangover. I absolutely see myself re-reading these.
I’m really enjoying this series. It’s such a good balance of plot and splice. I adore the fact that Regina is still healing from her trauma, and still has issues even though she’s found her mates. It’s refreshing to see her open herself up but still be worried. I love the natural pace of the relationships, and getting to dive deeper into the different characters.
What I love most is the balance to the story. And it’s an actual interesting story that I really want to see play out!
Fingers crossed!
Due to the Amazon glitch, the author sent me an ARC ! This book picks up right where we left off in Book 1. Super happy to see the pack all fully bonded and growing with each other. Regina is shaking her habits from living in an abusive relationship for so long and truly starting to become herself again. The boys are still hilarious and totally in love with her! Can’t wait for the third one !!
Villenueve is definitely a dragon right? And what was the fifth presence is in the bond? I feel like Regina is secretly something else besides just a siphon.

A autora quase me matou do coração.

I can't put these books down! The personalities of the four shifters complement each other, from playful to serious to academic. Great blend, and the way they love Regina is beautiful. They are so hot! Can't wait to to see what's next.
Fun, fluffy book. I am very torn - I feel like this story has the potential to be deep with teeth, a really interesting and deep read - yet I also feel like the author was trying for light and fluffy…. It’s an odd combo, yet I did enjoy it and I will read the next one. A solid three stars for me.
Nothing much going on just the usual waste time and nonsense growling for no reason. This could have been in the previous book btw because NOTHING happened. Everytime you think they're gonna pursue a relevant plot point, they veer of course to more nonsense growling and yap fest
This was enjoyable. Book 1 had the feel of a prequel, whereas this one has more of a true first installment spirit. We get some character development and the relationships build.
Regina agrees to work as a TA for the mysterious Villeneuve, who also helps the pack with their magical ritual for bonding. He also agreed to be their faculty sponsor because they’re on probation.
Alas, an eerie presence seems to be in the bond too: green, ancient energy. Is it Villeneuve? Is it the werewolf who attacked Regina? Is it the dragon whose blood they used for the ritual? We don’t know yet.
But Killian has been having bad dreams of losing control of his wolf to an ancient power and attacking Regina.
Regina: witch mate, has physical and emotional scars from her old coven Killian: leader of the pack Sean: true Himbo of Himbos. The dumbest and most golden retriever of the pack Rowan: smart, clean, orderly Micah: dedicated, wears glasses so you know he’s smart, thoughtful
Killian and Sean get featured a lot in this book, and they have clear personalities. Rowan and Micah continue to be somewhat interchangeable and also don’t stand out as important.
The book ends with a cliffhanger. Regina finally meets the wolf forms of her pack and they go for a run, but her old coven portals in to attack them.
4 ⭐️ I’m giving four stars just for the humor alone. It had me laughing out loud and I really need that in my life right now. I also didn’t even mind that this book was mostly just fluff and them all hanging out. I kind of liked a book that was just dedicated to the relationship progression of the pack and her I’m sure someone else would give it maybe three stars. Because there really wasn’t any plot progression whatsoever. I didn’t mind it though this time around for some reason. I was just enjoying the hilarity and them all just hanging out.
Parts of this book had me busting up laughing, other times shaking my head at the wolves antics. The mystery of the ever helpful professor possibly being a future fifth mate? Is he dragon, is he vampire hybrid with lots of magic? Such a mystery. The cliffhanger was of course no fun lol. A 4 stars all the way around.
