The Forbidden Helix

Rate this book
A remote volcanic island. A genetic anomaly that shouldn’t exist. A force that has waited five thousand years to be discovered.

When a respected professor massacres his research team after returning from Fergusson Island, the only clue he leaves behind is a warning..

Elizabeth Harrington of the Redmayne Organization uncovers the impossible—his DNA was rewritten at a fundamental level. She sends adventurer Dash Boone and geneticist Dr. Kim Kirby into the jungle to find the source.

What they discover is a strange grove seemingly capable of reshaping human evolution itself. Hunted by a ruthless rival faction and racing against a looming volcanic eruption and hurricane, Dash and Kim must stop the orchard before its spores escape the island and alter humanity forever.

A high-stakes scientific thriller where evolution and extinction hang by a single breath.

Something mysterious on an island maybe able to rewrite DNA!

Dash and Julie are called in when a scientist murders his research assistants on an island in Papau New Guinea. His DNA has been altered. A rival faction are also interested and earthquakes, volcanoes and hurricanes may also play a role...

There Is action, suspense, intrigue, double crosses, ancient civilizations in this tale. Unfortunately it is letdown by a continuity error and a repetition of an occurrence with slightly different descriptions towards the end of the book even though they are from the same person's perspective...
A said from these errors it is a fun read in the continuing story of Dash and Julie.

A Perfect Storm

Very good story, dialogue, characters and description (particularly during "natural" events). Possible problem with layout (as with the version I downloaded from KU), but is only a problem if the reader allows it to be.
